"Grangeeeeeeer", Draco whined. He was sitting with his arms crossed and his head thrown back, looking at the ceiling.

"What?", Hermione asked impatiently. "And be quieter, we're in the library. Some people tend to study here, not that you would know anything about this.", she added. She was trying her best to contain her smile at his dramatics.

The moment he heard her voice, his eyes slowly traveled from the ceiling to her. He thought she was extremely pretty, while she was in her element. He found her look of concentration very cute.

"I'm literally dying over here.", he huffed.

Even without looking up, she knew that he was wearing a slight pout on his lips. As much as she finds it adorable, she also needed to finish her Charm's essay.

"You're literally very much alive, unfortunately.", she said the last part, under her breath, while she kept making notes and underlying things in her paper.

"Granger!", he exclaimed, in a theatrical way. He was holding his chest with one hand, while the other hand was in front of mouth, which was open. If there wasn't any entertainment, he would create it. "That's not a really nice thing to say to your favorite classmate.", he admonished.

She rolled her eyes, even though he couldn't see it. She finally raised her eyes and saw him shaking his head left and right, as if he was disappointed by her attitude. The first thing she thought was that he really must be bored. Definitely not that he's pretty.

"How would you know, if you were my favorite classmate?", she said while raising one of her eyebrows. "For all you know, my favorite classmate might be Neville.", she shrugged. If he's going to interrupt her studying, then it's only fair to annoy him back.

"That's not- ". He looked so adorably confused by what she said. On the one hand, she's finally giving him attention, but on the other hand she's also giving attention to another guy. "See? You almost got me.", he sighed. "You cannot resist my charming personality that easily.", he nodded to himself, as if he was trying to convince himself.

"Thank Merlin, for you charming personality.", she said sarcastically. She decided to take a break, since she knows that he'll keep annoying her, till she gives him her attention. She moved her paper to the side, put her elbows on the table and her hands under her chin.

Draco paused. He was about to make a witty comeback, but he decided against it. He just looked at her. He tilted his head to the side and frowned his eyebrows. He was looking like he was battling with himself, on the inside. Like he desperately wanted to ask something, but at the same time being terrified of the potential answer.

"Draco?", Hermione asked more softly than she intended. She had the overwhelming urge to caress his frown and make it disappear, with her thumb. She refrained from doing that.

"Is it- ", he started saying, but he stopped. He flattened his lips and slightly shook his head. Not in the exaggerated way he did before, but the more subtle and unconscious way. As if he was clearing and shaking his thoughts away. "Nothing really, I'm just having one of those silly moods.", he said with a playful eyeroll and a teasing smile.

If Hermione didn't know him better and hadn't spent the majority of her time, of the last few months that they have been studying together and hanging out, watching him, she wouldn't have been able to recognize the tiny sad tilt his smile had. She doesn't like it, when his smiles are tinted with sadness.

She huffed and got out of her seat. Draco presumed that they're done studying and started packing his own things. He was pleasantly surprised, when instead of leaving, she plopped down on the seat next to him. She turned her body towards him and looked at him seriously.

"Did you finally have enough of resisting my charms?", he asked teasingly. He still felt a little bit unnerved by her stare and their interaction. It was easier to joke, than to be brave and saying something, that could potentially cost him her presence.

Hermione tilted her head to the side. She was so done with this silly man. He had started fidgeting and looking away from her. She did not get sorted into Gryffindor for nothing.

"You were right, you know.", she said with a small smile, while looking into his eyes.

"Merlin! This is a once in a lifetime event! I cannot believe that I'm experiencing this. What time is it? What day is it? I need to write it down and celebrate it every year-", his dramatic rambling was caught off by a slight slap on his bicep. He was still beaming, with a smile filled with dimples, perfect teeth and thin shapely lips.

"You're so dramatic.", she said with a small giggle and an eyeroll. His face suddenly dropped and she became worried of what he was thinking.

"Is everything all right? Are you okay? Do you feel warm?", he started peppering her with questions about her well-being. At one point, he even used the back of his palm to feel the temperature.

Hermione was losing her mind. He was touching her temple very softly, while looking worried. His hand slowly traveled from her temple, to her cheekbone, then to her jaw and back to her temple. It happened so fast, that she might have missed it, if she wasn't in tune with his touch. She gently grabbed his arm, with both of her hands and brought it to her lap.

Draco kept looking back and forth, between her eyes and her hands, his hand, on her lap. He didn't understand what was going on, but he wasn't going to complain about it.

"Are you not going to ask, what you're right about?", she asked. She was a little bit annoyed at her voice, because it went lower and breathier, without her permission.

"Uhm- ", he stammered. She had started using her thumb to make gentle strokes, on his hand. His eyes were round and a pretty red color was starting to form on his cheeks, ears and neck. "Is it reall- ", he coughed and used his other hand to rub the back of his neck. "Is it really needed? I got Hermione Granger admitting I was right.", he said smugly, while also trying really hard to not show how much this whole thing was affecting him. He was failing miserably at this task.

"I think that you're going to enjoy the answer more.", she said primly.

"More than the fact that you admitted that I was right? Color me intrigued Granger. Please do go on.", he drawled.

Hermione closed her eyes and took a deep breath. It was now or never. "You were right, about you being my favorite classmate.", she said firmly.

He always adored the look she got, when she had decided on something. He was not expecting the conversation to go there, again. However, this does not mean that he wasn't thanking Merlin, inside his head. "I knew you would see-", his words were caught off by one of her hands cupping his jaw. Her thumb was slowly moving alongside his lower lip.

Hermione felt powerful. Seeing the affects her touch had on him, made her bolder. For a few seconds, he looked like he stopped breathing all together, while he kept progressively getting more flustered. "You didn't let me finish what I was saying. May I continue now?", she gently asked.

He nodded, with a faint movement. His eyes kept fluttering, under her touch. The times that they were open, they kept looking between her eyes and mouth. He was trying his hardest to calm his breathing down, but her presence was overpowering everything. She was currently everything.

"You are my favorite classmate. In fact, you are my favorite friend. My favorite person to talk about things, to joke about everything and anything, to argue about the silliest stuff, to cry and laugh with. You are my favorite concept and my favorite problem. I don't want to solve you. I want to experience all of your uncomplicated complications. You are my favorite. Full stop. Mine. ", she was whispering by the end. She refused to be the first person to break eye-contact.

"I-", he started saying. "I'm-", he growled, frustrated with himself. He used his hand to grab the back of her head and bring her closer.

There wasn't any hesitation from either of them. Everything clicked right into place. Her hands moved to the hand that was holding her neck and the back of his neck to bring him closer. Closer was still not enough. He wanted to feel more of her. His other hand moved to her waist. That caused her to topple over him. They quickly adjusted themselves, without breaking contact, which caused her to straddle him. It felt effortless. Like a breath of fresh air, even though the need to breathe was getting more urgent.

Once that need could not be ignored anymore, they parted slowly. They kept breathing each other's air. Their eyes kept looking at the other person's eyes and mouth. No one was rushing them. They both let out a big happy sigh, as they mutually connected their lips once more. Small pecks to all parts of their faces. The only trouble they were having was smiling too much, which was making kissing somewhat difficult. However, they were more than happy with this problem.

"You know...", Draco paused, because Hermione was nibbling on his neck. She hummed, against his skin, indicating that she was listening. "I really need to know today's date. It's a double celebration.", he said with a big smile, while massaging her head and kissing her forehead.

"I just realized that I'm going to be dealing with your dramatic flair", she groaned, while she laid her head on his shoulder. He could feel her smile, against his thin shirt.

"That sounds like a you problem.", he lazily kissed her, after he said this. He wanted to know every slight movement her mouth made, against his.

"I've been dealing with it, I think I can manage.", she giggled. She felt him take a deep breath. His mouth disconnected from her neck. He was looking at her, like she held the whole sky, within her palm.

"Hopefully, for a long time, yeah?", he asked in a small voice. As if he was voicing his biggest fear.

She took a moment to study his expression. "For a really-", one kiss, "really-", another kiss, "really-", surely one more won't hurt, "really long time.". By the time she finished the sentence, he was wearing one of her favorite smiles. The smile that was only reserved for her. The smile that promised a lifetime of memories and experiences, by his side. Her favorite smile, by her favorite person.
