Chapter 1

Fenton work's 11:45 P.M.

Shego

Shego groaned as she got to the location where her new employer Dr. Drakken gave her as she saw one of the most ridiculous buildings she had ever seen. It was a renovated brownstone house complex that had a giant hand-made metal dome on top of it that looked as if it was a safety hazard. She sighed as she didn't understand why she had to come here and steal this prototype ghost portal.

She jumped onto the roof of the building and was about to enter the house through the roof access when she heard something coming from the backyard. She walked over to the edge and peered down to see a boy with messy black hair wearing black and blue pajama pants and a black t-shirt. He was squatting down in front of a black puppy.

"Come on, Cujo. You got to go to the bathroom, or else you will be in your crate later having to go," the boy said. The dog began to sniff around the grass. Unknown to him, the back door was open, which didn't go unnoticed by the raven head woman as she jumped down to the back porch without a sound. She noticed the boy had deep blue eyes.

'He's a good-looking kid,' The woman thought as she entered the house. She soon found her way into the lab. Once in, she soon found what she was looking for on a work table. "So this is what Dr. D wanted. What's he going to plan to do with this? Summon a ghost army? Yeah, right. As if ghosts are real." She says.

She is curious about how it works as it did look strange to be a portal. It was a hexagon prism with a few glowing green tubes running through the object. She soon found a switch on the top and flipped it, only to see that it didn't do anything.

She sighed as she figured that it didn't work. Now she had to find a way to get it out of there. She was soon interrupted when she heard a bark coming behind her, as she turned around and saw the puppy from earlier looking up at her. Suddenly she heard someone come down the stairs and she began to panic.

"Cujo, come here," The boy said as he got to the bottom of the stairs. "You know you are not allowed to be down here. Oh man, Mom and Dad are goi-" the boy didn't have the chance to finish as the portal suddenly began to glow, and a green beam shot out of the portal and towards him.

Once the beam hit the boy, he screamed in agony as a glowing green light engulfed him. Suddenly the portal stopped working and ignited into flames as Shego rushed to the boy. She was shocked to find the boy that once had black hair now had snow-white locks. Then all of a sudden, a white ring appears, and he soon changes back to the way he was. Shego is now curious about what is happening to the boy.

Suddenly the toxic smell of smoke flooded the room, and Shego realized the house was on fire and spreading fast. She was about to get up and leave when she suddenly remembered about the kid. For some reason, she felt that she needed to save the kid.

Before she knew it, she grabbed the kid and his dog and dragged them out of the house. Once outside, she dropped the kid and his puppy on the ground at a safe distance. All Shego could be was confused, as it wasn't like her to save someone as she was known to leave people to die. That is what she is known for. She is Shego, the former hero of Go City, now a villain wanted in eleven countries. So why did she save this kid?

Before Shego could think about the reason anymore, she heard sirens. She looked at the kid, barely able to open his eyes, as she heard him talk about his parents. Her heart breaks, realizing that she just destroyed this kid's life.

"I'm sorry," she says as she begins to run. She heard firefighters open the gate to the backyard as she jumped over the fence.

Time skip: three weeks later.

Middleton Medical Center 2:24 P.M.

Danny

Danny stirred as he tried to get up. When he woke up, he saw his Aunt Ann in a chair, watching tv with Cujo in her lap. Ann turned to her nephew and smiled at him sadly. She gets up and sits on the bed, making Danny more confused about why his aunt is here.

When Danny asked why he was there, Ann told him everything. She told him about the fire in his house, his family dying, and the coma. Danny cried as he felt his heart shatter. He realized his life was destroyed and began to cry as his aunt held him, saying it was going to be okay as she held the thirteen-year-old in her arms.
