So the start of a new adventure. I wasn't sure how this one is going to turn out. But I've been blasting through it, so I thought why not post it as it's been fun.
Night Zero
As the snow drifted gently to the ground, an abandoned mansion stood in eerie silence. Within its decaying walls, a black fox, wolf-sized, slinked its way in. At the pinnacle of a grand staircase leading to the second floor, an unsettling sight awaited—a young girl seated on a plush velvet throne. Her long silver hair cascaded around her, a stark contrast to the dark surroundings. Ruby red eyes, tainted by the thirst of a Level E, fixated on the fox as she sank her fangs into the pale, delicate neck of a woman. The taste of blood filled her senses, and she savored every drop.
When the woman's life had been drained, the girl carelessly tossed her aside. Her pale pink lips were now vividly stained with crimson, baring sharp fangs as a sinister smile curled upon them. She chuckled to herself as the fox approached, merging into her being, transferring its memories to her. She had found one of them—her beloved brother's memories. Excitement and euphoria coursed through her veins, fueled both by the fresh blood she had consumed and the discovery of her brother's essence.
"I've found Zero," she sang in a voice that dripped with childish delight. Her red eyes, forever tainted by the thirst of a Level E, shimmered with anticipation. She rose from the throne, stepping over the lifeless body she had recently drained. Then, a memory resurfaced, and her expression twisted with a wicked revelation. "Oh, my..." She gasped, her voice dripping with sinister glee. "Seiren, my dear Seiren, has chosen to stand by that Kuran. It's been so long since I've seen that young man. I must express my gratitude to Rido for liberating me from that accursed cage." Her smile turned malevolent. "My dear Seiren abandoned me for the man's company."
The shadows surrounding the girl began to contort into a horrifying spectacle, obedient to her consuming anger. She couldn't suppress a scornful sneer. "Indeed, I should see to it that she faces punishment."
