DAY 4, 2106 hours
Jack dove out of the way of the Alpha Dingo as he lunged, just barely missing being skewered by the might of his weapon. The dingo swung his Wispon at Jack a few times, the wolf carefully dodging each swipe, before managing to get a kick in that knocked the older dingo back. Taking out the standard Wispon, Jack shot out the lights in the tent as a distraction before he ran out, encountering the full brunt of the Dingo Squad. He brawled his way through the crowd as best he could, bobbing and weaving throughout, and occasionally firing his Wispon, but the crowd was just too much for his exhausted and bruised body to handle, and he eventually was laid out on the ground as a beaten down heap. He only hoped that Raccoon and Cyber had better luck.
But then he heard the bikes rolling in.
Wrapped in chains, Raccoon was dragged through the dirt into Jack's line of sight. He saw one biker holding the Wisps in deployment capsules, while yet another held Cyber by the makeshift harness before tossing her onto the ground beside Raccoon. "Found these two trying to get away, boss."
The Alpha Dingo, pleased with his squad's efforts, approached Jack casually. "Well, look at that. Your brave sacrifices were all in vain. Who would've thought the heroic life holds no rewards?" Picking up the standard Wispon Jack had dropped in the battle, the Alpha Dingo held it to the wolf's head. "Now, I like to think of myself as a reasonable man, but sadly, my deadline hits in the morning, so we're going to have to be quick about this."
Jack looked over at Raccoon, a Wispon was pointed at his head as well, now. The kid was scared, but trying to face the end as bravely as he could. Cyber was mostly unaware of the full situation, but she could tell that it wasn't good. He chose to close his eyes in that moment, letting her be the last thing he ever saw. Accepting the end...
But then he heard it, and a smile creeped across his battered face.
"What are YOU smiling about?" One of the Dingo Squad members asked, confused.
"You don't hear it?"
"Hear what?"
Raccoon and Cyber braced themselves as best as they could, because they heard it too.
"The Wind."
Only a half second later, a blue rush of wind, roaring like a tornado, tore through the Dingo Squad, their numbers pointless against such a force. Jack took this moment to grab the Alpha Dingo's gun and whip it across his face, knocking him out. Finished with his sweep, Sonic the Hedgehog stopped next to Jack to survey the situation. "Man, you guys GOTTA start hanging out in better circles!"
"Like you're one to talk." Jack replied, rushing to free Raccoon from his chains. "Heh, yeah. Tails is on the way with the Tornado. I just figured I could get here faster."
"Well, I'm just glad you came at all. Cyber's limbs are in a cave down the way, I...I can..." Jack started, before his vision started blurring, and he collapsed on the desert floor.
