Dawn fell on the terra, and the clear skies would show that for a while at least, the weather would be on the sky knights' side.
Starling slowly stirred from her sleep, being nestled deep into Suzy Lu's fur. Suzy Lu was still sound asleep, quietly snoring. Starling had turned herself around in the night, to face the Blizzarian as they slept. She brushed her face against the fur, and moved her head further and further into Suzy Lu's soft, blue coat. Starling began to feel a little pressure on her head, and that she slowly lost some breathing capacity. She opened her eyes to find her face submerged between Suzy Lu's breasts. Starling immediately removed her head from Suzy's chest, the action waking Suzy up.
Suzy Lu looked at Starling for a second before looking down at her chest. She connected the dots. 'Comfy in there?' Suzy Lu asked with a cheeky smirk.
'It was a sleep thing, okay?' Starling replied. Starting to blush. 'But. Thank you for keeping me warm.'
'Oh it ain't nothing' Suzy Lu assured. She started to wriggle about, sliding her trousers back up. 'Now. Let's get you to some more friendly faces, eh?' Suzy Lu said, pulling her self to her knees, pulling her sports bra down over her chest.
'Maybe when we're there I can borrow crystal to cook some food for us.' Starling mused to herself. Desperately trying not to land her eyes on the dressing Blizzarian. Suzy Lu stopped. Arm outstretched, jacket not quite on. She realised that she had broken Starling's only heat source, leaving her with cold rations.
'Oh gee. Maybe we'll make a pit stop, eh? That tower on the hill normally has some things to help us.' Suzy Lu felt content with her plan, slinging her jacket back on. Starling nodded in agreement.
Exiting the tent, Starling felt the nibble of snow on her legs again. The cold air slicing through her. She felt the goose bumps rise on her skin. Suzy Lu walked around the tent, clicking a joint on each of the four corners, before reaching for a rip cord in the middle of the tent's roof. Giving it a firm tug, the tent collapsed on itself, folding back into a small box as it did so. Suzy stashed it into her pocket, pulling out her pack of gum again. Taking a piece and beginning to chew. She offered Starling a piece, who gratefully took it and started chewing herself.
Suzy Lu lead the way once more, climbing a large hill. Suzy walked on all fours to balance herself, whilst Starling took wide steps, with her arms splayed out to help balance herself. After what felt like hours, they reached the crest.
The tower was around fifty metres square, surrounded by a narrow access road that encircled the tower on the outside of the crest. Certain points of the access road were decorated with the odd coniferous tree, the copies of which being low enough to climb.
As they reached the crest, Suzy Lu pulled Starling down, prone, onto the powder. Looking over the crest and through the tower, the sky knights saw a small group of Cyclonians. Hauling some crates full of crystals around. 'There, see? Your crystals are right there.' She said with a whisper.
'That's all well and good, but how am I meant to go there and grab them?' Starling frantically whispered in response.
'I have an idea.' Suzy Lu said, pulling a devilish smile.
The two emerged from the slope, standing on the access road and facing into the tower. Its skeletal design lending to a maximised view of the Cyclonian taskforce present. Suzy Lu pushed Starling in front of her, clasping the bottom of her short. Leaning in, she whispered into her ear: 'Here's the plan now, eh? You distract them, and I'll grab the goods.' Starling nodded nervously. Suzy Lu gave the countdown.
Three. Two. One.
'Hey! Hosers!' She yelled out, drawing everyone's attention. 'How'd ya like these hooters?' Suzy Lu then, in one swift motion, pulled Starling's top up over her head, grabbing and moving her bra on the way up, flashing the Cyclonians Starling's chest. As soon as Suzy Lu let go, she immediately broke away to the left and began to run around the access road at full speed. Starling yelped in shock from the whole experience, her breasts feeling the bite of the cold air. The lack of heat making her nipples stiffen. Starling would almost immediately begin re-fixing her outfit, and in anger, gave chase after Suzy. All of the Cyclonians ditched their work stations and chased after the two girls as well.
Suzy Lu could run a lot faster than Starling, which would break the sight line between the two. Starling, undetermined, kept chase. Continuing to lure the Cyclonians away from their posts. The crowd all ran past a tree, and once everyone had gone by it, the branches rustled once more, and Suzy Lu jumped out. Taking a moment to brush the coniferous needles from her clothing, she began to run counter to everyone else's direction, trying to get back to where they started.
Inside the tower, Suzy investigated the boxes and crates to find a whole stash of purple crystals. Damn, leechers, she thought to herself. Annoyed at the lack of anything worthwhile. Walking back out with a few packs of food rations, Suzy Lu spotted a pair of solar crystals powering a radio. Blowing a bubble in her gum, she took the crystals and ran for the hillside, hiding just under the crest.
Starling's running had just brought her a complete circuit around the access road, her anger fueling her to keep her pace for even longer. Spotting this, Suzy Lu sat up, braced, and yanked Starling off of the hill top as she came past. The momentum forcing the pair of them to slide down the snowy hill side.
'What. On Atmos. was THAT?' Starling growled at Suzy Lu.
'Hang loose, eh?' Suzy Lu dismissed, 'I gotcha some things'. She tossed the packages of food at Starling. 'Now, I know it's not much, but we can cook 'em with these.' Suzy Lu, held up a solar crystal in each hand, which made Starling roll her eyes in reaction.
'Well. I guess your idea worked.' Starling responded, grumbling at what Suzy Lu had done to get that food.
