This was something which popped into my mind, and it is an AU revolving around Casey Raccoon otherwise known as Raccoon Girl only if Rocket had adopted her as an infant, instead as a kid, think of this like What If.

In this story, Rocket discovers a infant female of his species, and because she imprints with him, he just decides to adopt her, not knowing hosw awesome she is.

"What the heck, what's a little one doijg here, where's your parents?" a voice asked, that happened to belong to a certain Avenger and Guardian of the Galaxy, Rocket.

He'd heard sounds of something outside and investigated, finding this infant kit near the trash making him confused knowing how cold it was out here bringing her inside unaware she was imprinting with him taking her to Banner so he could check her out, and was explaining to him the situation seeing her scared which he understood stroking gently behind her furry little ear, hearing her purr which was cute making Banner chuckle at this along with Rocket's reaction.

"She really likes you, she imprinted on you, meaning she thinks you're her daddy, which is very sweet and we know you're kinda good at that." Banner told him making him sigh, he had a point deciding to do it and named her Casey hearing giggles from her which made him smirk only questions were on his mind, what would happen when he went on missions, or with Lylla?

"Take it one step at a time, maybe wear a papoose I guess." Banner replied.

They saw Casey sniffing Rocket to get his scent, which he thought cute and scooped her up gently going to the tech-lab seeing her excitable chuckling making her a bed or crib hoping she would love it here, growing up as an Avenger/Guardian of the Galaxy's kit.

"Awwww you've been here a few hours and you're already getting settled, put the wrench down as daddy needs that, not a toy okay?" he told her taking it out of her little paws before she put it in her mouth adding to his worry, knowing infant raccoons got their little paws into everything, including things that were considered dangerous.

"Let's go somewhere safer, alright?" Rocket told her..

Casey giggled clapping her teeny-tiny paws, making Rocket realise she was not house-broken deciding to put some of Thor's special underwear on her, calling it tail armour, making him snort with laughter because it was so funny seeing her crawling around, that it was working hoping Thor didn't mind he'd borrowed a pair of his special underwear to help Casey.

"What's so funny Captain Rabbit?" Thor asked makijg Casey cover her little ears, that voice was too loud!

"Oh hey bud, what's going on?" Rocket asked nervous.

"Is that a lil rabbit wearing some of my underwear?" Thor replied.

"I can explain, Casey's not house-broken okay?" Rocket replied.

Thor chuckled confusing Rocket, wasn't he mad at him, guessing Casey was helping mellow the anger relieved by this, explaining to his Asgardian best friend about Casey, seeing him happy for him understanding that he was being a good daddy.

"Thanks sweetie, you got daddy out of trouble." Rocket told Casey, while feeding her.

He realised it was morning guessing they'd been up all night knowing kits along with kids needed their rest to grow using the Zune to soothe her into sleep, kissing her little nose unaware that some of the others were watching, making his furry cheeks go pink leaving the kitchen, he had wanted to keep Casey a secret for now, placing her in the crib in his room, finding a blanket wrapping it around her gently then going to get some sleep himself.

However the day had other plans like mission drills and he was tired but worried in case Casey woke up or she needed a bottle or just him but he had to focus using her as motivation to power through said drills wanting to go check on her after they were done, only they had the normal meeting which sometimes took long, adding to his worry.

"Captain Rabbit are you alright, is it your lil rabbit?" Thor whispered.

"Yes Thorey I need to check on her, cover for me." Rocket replied.

He snuck out of the meeting going to his room but swore he could hear Groot singing and Casey calming down stunning him entering, opening the door to his room gently, seeing Groot sitting on his bed with Casey gently in his vines, relieving Rocket.

"Awww you met uncle Groot and sorry, daddy got side-tracked." Rocket told her.

"I am Groot, I am Groot!" Groot told him.

"Yep, she's mine bud, plus I might need your help like when I have to go on missions." Rocket told him and was explaining about why Casey was using Thor,# underwear which amused Groot hoping he was alright, not in major trouble because he had snuck out of the meeting.

"I am not scared of Carol, trust me." he told him hearing Casey babbling in reply.

I don' t care, as Casey needs me, like Hawkeye with his kids, so yeah it's worth getting yelled at by Princess Sparkle-fists for her, Groot can help too when I can't be there.

"I am Groot" Groot asked him.

"Sorry bud, I had things on my mind, yes about Casey and her future, I should get back to the meeting before the others ask where I went, thanks for helping." he said leaving the room and heard Groot singing guessing Casey hadgotten upset, that he had leftsighing because he would make it up to her.
