1. Shin Project Announcement

To my dear readers,

Many events have transpired since the last update.

In the time since the last chapter, I transferred from my teaching credential to a Master's program in Literature.

In anticipation of this change, I revisited and closely examined my old chapters and stories, discovering many embarrassing mistakes in grammar and spelling in the process.

After much contemplation, I decided to create a newer, streamlined edition of this story by removing several franchises that did not contribute much to the plot, such as the Doctor Who franchise (as there are many time-traveling characters that could fill the Doctor's role in the story) and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (despite my fondness for that particular series, it clashes with the tone of the story I want to tell).

My latest revision of this story will involve the following series:

The G.I. Joe and Transformers franchises owned by Hasbro and TakaraTomy.

Hideaki Anno's Shin Japan Heroes Universe (Godzilla, Evangelion, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider) and Re: Cutie Honey (due to it and the 2004 live-action film being an influence on his handling of Shin Kamen Rider).

Shinji Higuchi and Shusuke Kaneko's Gamera Trilogy.

Earth Defense Force 2025 (because Kaiju-fighters must stand together).

The Compati-Hero series (the Gundam franchise and the already-mentioned Godzilla, Ultraman, and Kamen Rider)

Witchblade (2006 Anime), owned by Top Cow and Gonzo (due to sharing its similar themes of "supernatural motherhood" with Evangelion).

A massive multiplayer crossover such as this will have to be split into two or three different fics, but if you've stuck with me this far, I know you'll enjoy the final product.

This notification will remain at the beginning of both fanfics in the Sea of Tranquility series until rewrites are complete.

Update (7/9/22):

The original draft of Red Sea, Blue Earth was written during the summer of 2019.

A significant portion of the story involves the villains plotting to violently overthrow the Japanese government, including the Prime Minister.

Due to its integral nature, I cannot remove this subplot without completely overhauling my hard work.

That said, I do not wish to offend those shocked and appalled by the current events in Japan.

If the need arises, I will gladly delete this story entirely.

Update (7/6/23):

I apologize for the lack of recent updates. A combination of working on an original novel, several nervous breakdowns, and a bout of common cold have prevented me from progressing on my revision of these fanfics. I have not forgotten you, my readers, but I shall my prioritize my original work from now on. Updates on this story will still occur, but don't be concerned if a long time passes between new chapters.
