"Alright class you have 30 minutes left," the professor told everyone in his class. Having to oversee the final examination, the man had dagger eyes, scanning the entire class and making sure there wasn't anyone trying to take chances.

He could only feel a bit saddened when he saw signs of struggle from most of his students. 'Then again…this is Harvard's faculty of Law.' The man thought 'But for some reason, he always never seemed fazed.' He looked to the back of the classroom. Sitting there by his lonesome was the scariest yet most intriguing student he ever lectured.

Naruto Uzumaki. The kid was a jack of all trades, no matter what assignment he ever handed out he kept on getting great grades. His literal college career was an exceptional thing. Being an All-American in all his years of studies, the kid was known by the dean herself!

He was a genius, in all truth.

"Times up!" the lecturer shouted out as his voiced boomed throughout the classroom.

Telling them all to hand in their papers, a massive groan was heard through out. Naruto hearing all the noise made by students groaning and complaining on the test woke up and stretched his arms out wide. "Man, was that the nicest nap." Naruto muttered as he got up. "Was that a nice test or what?" Naruto smiled at a girl in his class who rolled her eyes. "You know you're so lucky." She stated as they went down to the professor's desk.

"I wish I could take a nap." Naruto smiled. "It's all about time management, if you studied hard and learned the material efficiently you would've gotten the top student award." Naruto replied. "And the smart ass, tells me his tricks on the last test of our semester." Naruto shrugged his shoulders. "At least it's sooner rather than never?"

The girl rolled her eyes, as they handed in their papers. "See you at graduation, professor." Naruto said to the old man who just shook his head. "You know kid in all my years, I've seen many students sit in my class. But you…you must be the most talented of them all." The man stated as Naruto smiled.

"Wow sir, that's very special coming from a man like you."

"I know for a fact that phone of yours will be buzzing with the best companies lining up to take you."

"Well that's the plan, sir. See you around."

At his graduation, Naruto took the spotlight as always, taking several prestigious awards, the likes of the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence and the Westfall Memorial Award for Outstanding Legal Writing. To say many people would kill themselves to be in his shoes would be an understatement.

With the ceremony wrapped up, the blond visited his professor to tell him farewell, chatting for a bit the two shared a hug, and before they went their separate ways the professor spoke up.

"Oh yeah, Naruto before you go." The man spoke up as his student turned back. "I heard from the grapevine that there's this company looking for an associate." The blond hearing this looked surprised.

"Associate? What company is that?"

"A firm called Pearson Hardman, it's in New York City, and seeing the fact you live there I thought it'd be of good convenience." the man began "Plus I have a feeling that it's a place that'll be good for you."

"What makes you think that?"

"Because the partner that needs an associate is a former student of mine." The blond hearing this was intrigued. "Really? What makes you think he'll accept me?"

"Well if he has a great memory he'll remember I told him after his graduation that one day I'd recommend a top student for him. Just tell him, Professor Stark, sent you." The blond hearing this raised his eyebrow. "Huh…you don't say." the blond tisked his tongue. "What makes this person special?"

Professor Stark chuckled. "Oh, this guy…he has a lot in common with you. I know even if you don't tell him about me he'll be intrigued by your awards mantle."

The blond hearing this just nodded. "Well I promise to keep that in mind, professor." He waved the man as he departed.

Couple hours later Naruto found himself wearing his regalia in an old age home. The blond greeting all the nurses and doctors, was taken to his grandmother who sat in her room, reading a book. "Well there's the old girl Naruto. I'm sure she'll be happy to see you." The doctor stated as Naruto nodded.

Watching the man depart, Naruto knocked on the door "I hear someone's not taking their pills." The blond stated as his grandmother looked up. "They're trying to poison me, Naruto, even you should know that." His grandmother replied as Naruto rolled his eyes. "Grandma Tsunade no one's trying to kill you. They're just trying to keep your immune system strong." He backed the doctors as he went up and kissed her by the forehead.

"So did you notice anything different?" Tsunade looked at him and shook her head. "Nope, your still the same old brat, I love." She replied "Really? Do I have to point it out."

Tsunade smiled "Of course not you big brute…congratulations! Give me a hug." Giving his grandmother a big hug the blond smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. All that hard work he did was to make sure that his grandmother would have a great retirement the moment he finally was qualified to practise law.

'Harvard Interviews Room 2005.' Naruto read the sign as he fixed his tie. He had followed Professor Stark's advice since all the other firms that called him wanted to take him out of NYC, which would be bad since he wanted to stay near his grandmother.

Being at the Chiton Hotel, the blond asked the secretary where was the room's exact location, getting that he walked up the stairs and as he got onto the correct floor, just down the hall he noticed a man running with a briefcase. 'The hell?' he thought confused as behind him he saw a man with a suit and a bellhop giving chase.

"Stop that man!" the bellhop shouted. Naruto thinking the man being chased stole from the man in the suit, ran up to the assailant, and hit him with a hard tackle that sent him to the ground.

The briefcase he held was opened by the impact and Naruto was surprised by the amount of weed in it. "Woah," the blond muttered as he looked at the man. "Damn buddy, were y'all having a party where you were rushing to?" he asked with a smile as he received a groan as a reply.

The two men giving chase caught up and thanked the blond, who had a questionable look. "Wait, hold up...why were there drugs in your briefcase sir?" the blond asked the man in a suit who chuckled. "It's not exactly mine, kid. Me and my partner are police." the now known officer took out his badge and showed it to the blond.

"We got a tip-off that there would be a drug deal happening here, so we informed the hotel and they gave us the needed attire," he explained as he put his badge back, Naruto hearing this nodded. The officer's brought up their caught suspect, who was met with a grin from Naruto.

"Damn pal," he commented as he towered the man by a few inches. "You're going away for a long time...to be caught with MJ in New York? Especially Manhattan." he touched the man's shoulder. "My advice...don't drop soap." the blond smiled as the man rolled his eyes.

"Yeah...you're a real comedian asshole." the man hissed as Naruto just waved him goodbye. "It was an honor being a good citizen for you officers," Naruto told the two men. "Now if you'll excuse me I gotta go get a legal job." the blond finally left the hall and entered the room.

"Well mister...you better take his advice seriously." the officer in the bellhop outfit told the assailant, who they didn't know was Mike Ross.

"Tell me about it." Mike muttered since he knew he was in a very bad situation.

In the room, Donna sat down feeling as bored as ever. The amount of kids she and Harvey had to interview was back-breaking. The fact not a single one of them intrigued them was even worse since they were wasting their time.

"Naruto Uzumaki you're up next," Donna called out so that all the candidates in the other room could hear, spending a few seconds she didn't get a reply for the fifth time now, and again she called out the man's name. Still, there wasn't any movement. "For the last time, Naruto Uzumaki!" she called out agitated this time.

Getting up from her seat, she was about to walk into the hallway, but someone finally answered as walking up to her desk was a blond wearing a black suit.

"Naruto Uzumaki?" the blond fixed himself a bit. "Yes."

"Excuse me, Mr. Uzumaki but you made me call your name like a crazy person for 5 whole minutes. Is there a reason why I should let you in?" the blond hearing this nudged his shoulders.

"Sorry there was this old lady at the receptionist who needed me to take her groceries to the top floor." the blond replied.

"Isn't that the job of the bellhop, Mr. Uzumaki or do you see yourself being just that?"

"It was just a sign of kindness mam, rather you let me in or not I couldn't careless, the fact she was even Warren Buffet's wife makes that sacrifice worth it." Donna hearing the remark felt impressed. 'A pretty boy and a bad liar...literally a mini Harvey.' she thought.

"Can you tell me what's wrong with your face, cause you look 11 years old."

"Well mam it could be the fact, I remind you of a kid you used to play with on the playground back when you were the next generation and mattered to the world."

'Great,' she thought exasperatedly 'He even comes with an add-on, he's rude.' she thought as she turned her head over to Harvey who looked exhausted from the cringe he had to deal with in his last interview.

"And?" he whispered only to get a wink from Donna. Seeing that Harvey looked impressed. "Mr. Specter will be right with you."

"What?" the blond said confused "Can I get you anything? A coffee or a bottle of water?"

"Do you have a cup of ramen by any chance?" Donna looked at the blond with a 'really' face. "I skipped breakfast." the blond smiled rubbing his stomach, Donna couldn't help but roll her eyes at the action. "Sorry, we only have cookies." she handed him a few of them, which were meant to be refreshments for all that participated for the interview.

"Hmm, chocolate chip." the blond said as he took a bite. "My favourite," he stated as he crunched the cookie.

"You can finish this quickly and go in," Donna replied as the blond chowed the biscuits down and wiped the crumbs from his mouth and suit. Going in he saw a man wearing a charcoal suit with a silk tie.

"Mr. Specter, I'm Naruto Uzumaki." the blond said as he shook Harvey's hand. "Harvey Specter, nice to meet you." the two broke the handshake. "How about you take a seat." sitting on the chair the blond watched as the man sat across from him.

Harvey picked up the blond's resume and looked back at him. "I see you're a recent graduate from Harvard."

"Yes sir."

"Who taught your class?"

"Mr. Stark sir." Harvey hearing this looked surprised. "Wait, you want me to believe that you got a 100% in your freshman year from being taught by Professor Stark?"

"Yes, sir. Is there a problem with that?"

Harvey chuckled "Yeah there's a problem, he was my professor when I was there. Never in my life did I ever get close to a 100%"

"What were you in the 70-80 category?"

"No the 90s, do you think I would've made it this far with 70s and 80s?"

"It depends...you look like a guy who could get any job they want in the blink of an eye."

"Huh, we just started and you're already giving my ass a kiss." Naruto chuckled at the comment, "Ass kissing is for desperate people, sir. I can assure you I don't need to do that. Besides what I'm speaking is the truth."

"Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, what made you become a lawyer?" that question caught Naruto by surprise. Even if it's well-known that employers always ask this question in any type of interview, Naruto couldn't help but lower his head making his hair cover a bit of his eyes.

Taking a little gulp to clear his throat he spoke.

"It's a bit personal but my mother is the reason."

"By any chance is she the type of people that want her entire family to have the same job?"

"I wish, that was the case." the blond chuckled as he continued "She dreamed of seeing my dad achieve his dream and become a lawyer."

"So it was your dad, that made you do this gig?"

"Yeah, you could say that."

"Did he force you into it?" the blond shook his head negatively.

"No, they passed away when I was a baby." Naruto replied as he felt his throat feel a bit heavy. "My father had already graduated from Law School, but he couldn't achieve his dream," Naruto replied with a sad tone, which Harvey noticed.

"I'm sorry to hear that." he spoke up,

"It's fine...all I know is that they're proud of me for what I've achieved so far and I'm going to achieve my dad's dream for him."

"That's very noble of you kid. Consider me impressed. Now all I have to do is look at the other candidates and I'll come back to you." Harvey said as he and Naruto got off their seats, the man opened the door for him and was about to show him out when he looked in the hall and saw the remaining candidates.

The amount of baby-faces and crybabies he could spot out made the man think twice about delegating Naruto the job.

"You know what." the blond watched as the older man closed the door. "Forget what Jessica said about giving everyone a chance. You got the job congrats." Harvey said looking back at the blond as he shook his hand.

"Now look here's the gist. I don't want a whiny baby on my team, alright? This job has long hours, high pressure, and most importantly hard work. I want a grown man near me, so if you don't have any of those traits speak now."

"You can rely on me, sir. I promise you, I won't disappoint." Naruto replied as Harvey nodded. "Good, you're going to start a week from Monday. We have a protocol drug test for new employees so if you're on any things, drop them. Alright? Last thing I need is my boss thinking I can't spot out a stoner." Harvey added.

"What makes you think I'm on drugs?" Harvey looked at him with a smile. "I was in college too, kid. Whether it's Harvard or not, hormones always get the best of young adults. Now if you'll excuse me...let me email Jessica that I've found my guy." Harvey went over to his laptop and typed his message.

'Damn! This is a big building.' Naruto stood on the sidewalk beside the building that harbored his new work place. 'I wonder if they ever had a suicide case?' the blond thought as he cringed at the thoughts. 'Dark thoughts Naruto...stop with the dark thoughts.' he thought as he walked inside the building. Taking the elevator up to the correct floor, he got out and noted the sign on the wall.

Pearson Hardman

Walking over to the receptionist, he noticed that she was on her phone. Waiting a couple seconds till she finished he greeted her. "Naruto Uzumaki mam, I was told I'd start today." the woman nodded. "Oh Mr. Uzumaki, please wait over there in the waiting area, someone will shortly come down to see you." Naruto nodded as he went over to the window of the building.

'Damn...where really high up.' he thought as he looked at the view and the million people walking on the sidewalk below. 'The life of Manhattan.' the blond thought.

"Naruto Uzumaki?" the blond heard his name being called behind him, turning around Naruto couldn't help but look stunned. "Hi, I'm Rachel Zane. I'll be giving your orientation." the woman replied. "Damn!" Naruto stated as he held his hand clenched and near his mouth.

"Great, you've already fell for me. Now we can get this out of the way. 'I'm not interested.'" she replied straight up Naruto hearing this quickly changed the topic. "Wait what? No, I wasn't hitting on you, I was..." The blond looked at her a bit scared since she looked at him skeptically. From the corner of his eye, he noticed a sports show playing on the tv. "...cursing at the fact my Yankees lost to Big Papi and the Red Sox," Naruto stated as he pointed at the tv.

Rachel looked over to the tv and indeed they we're showing a report of the New York team playing baseball, except it wasn't the one Naruto spoke about. "The anchor's talking about the Mets." she retorted as Naruto rubbed the back of his neck. "What can I say...I favour both teams." he smiled with a nervous chuckle.

"Ah huh." Rachel replied unconvinced "Just know I'm not buying it. I've given these to dozens of guys like you. Hotshots constantly trying to hit on me just cause I'm a paralegal that'll be blown away by your degrees. I can assure you, I won't."

"Well I can assure you, that wasn't my idea. Just cause you are a paralegal doesn't mean I would think you're are desperate. For a girl like you, I'd actually approach you and get to know you, since that's how I get to know the women I like."

"Well does that approach of yours work?"

"Not really I never found a need to use it, most of the girls seem to approach me first, like someone I see right now." the blond smiled as Rachel scoffed. "Well aren't you a master of words. Take notes I'm not going to repeat myself." Rachel stated as she handed him a notepad.

Listening to Rachel the entire tour, the blond paid close attention. The people he had to report to was Harvey and a man called Louis Litt who worked as the supervisor for all the associates in his part of law.

"And this is your home cubical." Rachel concluded the tour as Naruto looked at his workstation. "It's a bit bigger than I expected." he told Rachel. "It's better than nothing. Anyway I need to go, so I hope you enjoy working here my advice cut out the ogling before I report you to HR." she stated as she took her leave. 'Ogling?' the blond said confused as he watched her leave. 'Oh please.' the blond thought scoffing the idea from his mind, remembering something else important he spoke up. "Hey when do I get to speak with Harvey?" he called out to Rachel who didn't turn back and just ignored him.

"Well she's full of herself." the blond thought as he sat down. "A big downgrade." he muttered.
