Chapter 1: Flufftober Collection
Chapter Text
Muse A: "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to your story for today, this is a story of love, honor, sacrifice, and a whole lot of…"
Muse B: Um this is the introduction prologue for a story based on Flufftober, not G Gundam. Sorry, best you save that for some other time like a Mechamarch or something, if that exist
Muse A: Oh, right, um, I guess I don't need this line, but what the heck. Take this my love, my sorrow and all my anger.
Muse B: yeah yeah, take this my shining finger, right?
Muse A: Darn straight, anyway yes flufftober, this a challenge and every chapter here is a one shot based on character the writer uses in his stories, including this one.
Muse B: Yep so, these stories are not canon in the least and come from the mind of this writer. There might be canon pairings, but they are based on stories this writer wrote over a number of years. So, feel free to leave or enjoy. Well, here goes right?
Muse A: Yep, our first story is one of those kinds of cannon stories, about two people who have a very brief connection, that is thrown away because side shows can't change the lore of a large series.
Muse B: Yep, it totally isn't because the writer is a huge fan of Yamcha. So here we go, Yamcha and Virdo, trust me you will see them again.

Yamcha sat at the bar, his hand clutching his glass, his mood less than stellar that night. Perhaps tonight was a good night to drown his troubles in a few drinks and try to focus on the positives. He had, after all, been a hero again. Even if it was likely that no one would remember his heroic deeds, he had his moments, some brave acts under his belt. And he couldn't forget meeting that cute alien woman who seemed genuinely interested in him. That had to count for something, right? Yeah, logically, it should be a cause for celebration rather than a night of heavy drinking until everything became a blur.
But then it hit him, and he felt a pang in his heart. He was alone again, just like so many times before. He took a sip from his glass, lost in thought. He remembered that Vidro had spoken of wanting to marry him in 1500 years. It was a relationship filled with potential and hope, and now it felt like it had vanished into thin air. It was another chapter in his life that had ended prematurely, a cruel twist of fate that seemed to follow him wherever he went.
As he sat there, drowning in his thoughts and sorrows, he suddenly felt a gentle hand on his back. Turning, he blinked in surprise as he saw Vidro, the blue-skinned alien who had caused his melancholy, looking at him with a small, apologetic smile.
"So, um... someone told me about things, and, uh... yeah," she began softly, fully aware that she was the reason for his current state. Her brave champion, the man she had fallen for almost at first sight, sat alone in an empty bar, and she couldn't help but feel responsible for it.
Yamcha's eyes locked onto Vidro, his surprise at seeing her again evident in his gaze. He had thought she had gone with the others, most likely never to return. Never in his life, up until this moment, had he known that there was a woman who loved him. Yet here she stood beside him. He had only had one drink, right? He wasn't losing his mind or anything like that, right? He blinked, first at the bar and then back at Virdo, his eyes refocusing on hers. To check if this was a dream, he pinched himself and winced as he felt the pain. So, it wasn't a dream either.
"It seems I can't handle drinking anymore, or maybe it's just the shock of seeing a beautiful woman. That can't be right, can it?" he mused, questioning himself as he looked at Virdo. Then, his tone shifted to one of dejection. "Because I know you... the woman I want to be with, my perfect partner I've always wished for, and who I thought I'd never see again, or really ever be with," Yamcha confessed, his words heavy with the weight of his longing.
Vidro listened intently to Yamcha's words, her red eyes locked onto his as he poured out his feelings. Her initial smile had faded, replaced by a mixture of emotions. She could discern the sincerity in his eyes, the longing in his voice, and it tugged at her heart.
"Well, sorry, I didn't have a sense of how long it had been. I don't have a home, and, well, being around a Supreme Kai of Time messes with your perception of time," she admitted honestly. "So, you can imagine my surprise when I found out that humans don't live for 1500 years," she added with a sheepish smile as she took a seat next to Yamcha, her hand gently pressing against his back. "I realized that I've had enough adventure and traveling. I decided that now was a good time to just spend that time with you. Who cares about the traditions of a race that isn't around anymore?"
Yamcha sat in stunned silence. How on earth did this happen? How did Virdo end up here? Wow, she was actually here. Those were the thoughts swirling in his mind. He found himself at a complete loss for words, turning to look at her with a confused expression as he tried to process everything that had just happened. His mind was in overload, struggling to catch up with the whirlwind of emotions he was feeling. He noticed Virdo chuckling softly at his state of dumbfoundedness.
"I figured Earth would be way more fun," Virdo began, her voice filled with a genuine desire to be by Yamcha's side and a great deal of affection for the desert bandit. "I figured that staying with you for the next 50 years or however long humans live would be way more fun than whatever else is out there."
Yamcha sat there thinking, "Are you sure, I mean I would love it, but 50 years, that is a long time for someone, and.." he said his self-doubt caused mostly.
by his bad luck with women in the past propping up.
"Nope," Virdo said as he leaned in closer to him, her face moving towards his, "50 years is way too short of time. Plus, I got you and that is more than enough for me," she said as she looked at him kissing his forehead softly as she knew that it was not a deal for 50 years, she made with him but for far longer than that. Pulling back a bit she looked him in the eyes, her hand reaching out to his face. "Now, I made a deal to be partners with you, and be it one or a million I will hold up that bargain, any complaints Mister," she said with a smile, her emotions always so crystal clear.
"Nope, I can't say that I do," Yamcha said as he looked at the alien woman, the last of her kind, the woman who had battled with him at an inter dimensional tournament and in the process completely stole his heart from him.
This was his dream, before him, he put the glass down that had been idly in his free hand and put his hand on Virdo's neck pulling her to him. His lips pressed soon against Virdo's as he pulled the alien beauty down over them making a bit of a scene as the two warriors kissed so passionately that night, starting a new chapter in each of their lives.
