Summary: Leia talks to someone interesting on the phone.
Leia was currently waiting for her popcorn to pop. She was planning on watching a movie by herself, wallowing in her sadness. Things with Nate were super awkward, which didn't make sense because they had a lot in common and the same desires. But maybe that's all they had.
*ring*
Leia raised an eyebrow and grabbed the phone. She raised an eyebrow when it said unknown caller. Dad said to never take calls from strangers but…
Leia grabbed the phone anyways, curious about who was calling. "Hello?" Leia called. But she couldn't hear anything on the other line. Not in the mood for prank calls.
"Hello?" Leia tried one more time. She heard a sigh on the other line but couldn't recognize who was there. "Okay, this is not funny. Who is this?"
"Leia." Leia's heart skipped a beat when she heard the voice. It was none other than her childhood friend, Gwen Runck. They hadn't see each other in person since they were 12 years old. Leia had had a crush on Gwen ever since their first kiss.
"Gwen? How are you?" Leia chuckled. She began twirling her hair, trying not to blush. Gwen chuckled on the other line, "Good. But not as good without you." That just made Leia giggle. "That's so cliché Gwen!"
Gwen shrugged, "Doesn't make it any less true." Before Leia could say anything, she could hear Nate's voice. "Ooooh! Gwen's calling her girrrrrlfrienddddd!" Nate teased. She could hear Gwen telling him to shut up and a classic Runck tackle match.
Gwen pushed Nate to the side and grabbed the phone. "How about I come to Chicago and visit you during my fall break." Leia smiled, "I'd like that."
