Fast Pace
It was so hot. The entire team, members included, obviously, were to film an episode of Going Seventeen in this boiling forest one day in July. To add insult to injury, not only was it hot, it was humid too.
On top of that, they were down a cameraman. He'd had to rush off to the hospital; his wife was having a baby and they'd decided to come a little earlier than planned.
This meant not only did she have to be out in this weather, she also had to lug around an extremely heavy, and expensive camera all day. As the only other member of staff with film training, she'd been called on to help. It didn't matter how much she'd protested that she usually used a phone camera, or one of those old school handheld ones, and how she'd be so out of her depth with an actual studio camera. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
And so, here she was, already dripping with sweat, standing near Wonwoo. She focused the camera on his face. He of course looked perfect.
Seungkwan was reading a rules card aloud, and the others were all reacting accordingly; excited chattering and questioning the boundaries of the game.
The game itself was this; race to the top of the mountain and ring the bell. Simple enough. However, you had to manage it without anyone else seeing you, otherwise you had to restart from the bottom of the hill.
By now the members were all grumbling that it was far too hot for this game, but of course, they each got into position. Some started forming alliances immediately. If you let me go first by 3 minutes, I won't turn around to look at you, or if you go up that way I'll go up this way blah, blah, blah.
Currently Wonwoo was looking on as Seungkwan and Dino were planning which way to go, laughing along as they argued for the camera. She glanced away from the viewfinder, noticing The8 slipping by. Guess he was going to try and take it while the others were still securing screen time and arguing.
She had to admit, she'd always had a bit of a crush on Wonwoo. When she was still just a fan he'd been her "Bias Wrecker", and being near him in close proximity, even after all this time, still made her heart do little flips.
She'd been working on Going Seventeen for two years now, but it turns out that even after the novelty had worn off, some members still caught her off guard. That was the power of idols she supposed.
"...Noona."
She looked up to see Wonwoo standing next to her and that she was filming an empty bench. Oops.
"I'm going to wait until most of them leave, in case you missed that". She nodded, a little ashamed she'd gotten so easily distracted. She followed him with her camera as he took a seat on a bench and whipped out his phone. "Time to do my dailies."
About ten minutes passed. One by one the other members snuck off, until it was just Jeonghan and Wonwoo left. Pretty typical, no surprises there.
"Hyung. I'm leaving." Finally, he rose from the bench. "Don't watch me"
There was a call of agreement from across the little gravelled clearing. She kept her camera trained on Wonwoo as he followed the path along at a saunter. This was the long route up the mountain, and was sure to be watched by some of the members wanting a sly takedown.
After about a minute or so he glanced back. "Jeonghan-hyung is gone." His eyes flicked up to the camera, making her jump somehow. "Do you think you can go that way?"
She followed where he'd pointed. Off the path and into the trees. Great. She nodded again. Think of the content, it'll be funny when the cameraman can't keep up. It'll give him something to talk about.
So they set off. Stepping over the little wooden railing and into the trees.
At first they walked parallel to the summit; around the mountain to avoid anyone trying to take a direct route. Then, when Wonwoo decided he was bored of that, they started winding their way up. He made little comments for the camera about the path they were taking, keeping to a stage whisper for the most part.
She however, was starting to droop a little. Why was this camera so heavy? Why was it SO hot? Why did it have to be today?
"Wonwoo-ssi, I'm sorry can I just take a second?"
He turned to her and almost laughed aloud. She was a dripping mess. Her hair was stuck to her face and she was panting pretty hard. "Hh-ah I'm sorry Noona, I forgot it was you"
"Charming" she muttered as she plopped down on a rock next to the camera. Why did it need to be today of all days? She could be waiting at the summit right now with a cool drink if not for that blasted baby coming early. She slipped a bottle of water out of the little shoulder bag she was carrying and handed it to Wonwoo. "Here"
He took it gratefully and unscrewed the top.
She found she couldn't look away as he tipped his head back. He was so… attractive. Even doing the most normal things, he just had a way of making everything strangely hot. Maybe this was her bias rearing its head again, but she didn't find the same problem with the other members, even Mingyu who was so unbelievably good to look at.
"Here, you finish it" He said, holding the bottle back out to her. She took it, although a little uneasily. It wasn't technically an indirect kiss, because his mouth had never really touched the bottle, but it was still giving her a strange feeling.
She finished it in a quick swig and put the empty bottle back in her bag.
"Okay, let's get on with it then- Ah!" She squeaked as she rose and promptly tripped over her own feet. Luckily Wonwoo caught her arm.
"Whoa Noona, we should rest a little longer if you're tired. The camera must be heavy" He pushed her back down onto the stone she'd been sitting on before "Let me look at your ankle, did you twist it?"
She was blushing quite a lot by this point. Partly out of shame, because frankly, she wasn't doing a very good job as a member of staff, and partly because Wonwoo was so close to her. "Ah, no it's fine, I'm fine- ah!"
Now was Wonwoo's turn to blush. He'd lost his footing as he stooped down to look at her and regained his balance by grabbing on to her thigh quite hard. "S-sorry Noona, I uh-"
"No no it's fine, this is my fault anyway, um!" She stood up suddenly, then realising that this left Wonwoo stooping with his face at a very particular height very close to her, sat back down again "Lets just go, I'll be fine!"
Cute.
Wonwoo stood and stepped back a little to allow her some space. This was awkward. He knew she had somewhat of a crush on him. The boys had of course asked her who her biases were when she joined the company and they learned she was a fan. Being someone's bias is nice, if a little weird when you then have to work with the person. It felt as if he had to play up to being the Wonwoo in her head, so as not to ruin the image she had of him. Anyway, he wasn't her main bias, that was reserved for Jeonghan, as Jeonghan himself liked to remind him.
At this point she'd picked up the camera again and was pointing it at him. "Okay! Let's win this dumb game!"
"Okay!" He replied a little louder than necessary, trying to mellow out the strange atmosphere.
At this point there was a little rustle in the bushes to their right, and a voice called out to them.
"Hellooooo, is that you Wonwoo?" It sounded like , "Get ready to start again~"
Shit. She didn't think she could actually manage to climb the mountain if they started again. Wonwoo was clearly thinking the same thing because he glanced at her.
Suddenly, he reached out and picked her up fireman style, slinging her over his shoulder with ease..
"W-Wonwoo-ssi!" He sprinted through the bushes, and it was all she could do to hang on to the camera. "Wonwoo-ssi, s-stop, Wonwoo-, I'll drop the camera, Wonwoo-ssi!"
That did stop him, the idea of breaking the expensive bit of equipment sinking in.
"C-can you. Can you put me down?" She flopped over his shoulder uncomfortably, clinging to the camera with one hand and Wonwoo's t-shirt with the other.
He had his hand over her waist and now that they'd stopped, she was suddenly keenly aware of it.
"Oh, yeah" He popped her down, looking a bit sheepish, "my bad, just, didn't think you could do it again so,"
"No you're right I-"
At that moment there was another rustle and voices drifting close by. "I won't tell anyone I saw you, if you don't tell anyone you saw me hyung" "Let me get to the top and I'll- did you hear that?"
"Shh-" Wonwoo had pinned her to a tree and was keeping as still as possible. His elbow next to her head, she could smell his sweat, and feel his breath on her face. It made her dizzy.
"W-Wonwo-"
"Shh!"
They waited like that until the voices died away. She shifted uncomfortably, holding the camera longways between them like a wall.
"Phew, that was close," He turned to her and smiled softly, before realising just how close they were. His face was maybe an inch away from hers. And she was blushing so furiously, her breath coming out in little gasps, her hair sticking to her face with the humidity.
Cute.
So she was the sort to get wound up easily. He pushed his face a little closer to hers. Good job he'd worn his contacts, there's nothing worse than pushing your glasses up over and over on a sweaty day. She tried to step back but the tree..
"Wonwoo-ssi, w-what-" She stuttered, her face bright red
She was just trying to look anywhere but at him, and somehow he found this… entertaining. He reached up with his free hand and turned her face so they made eye contact.
Cute!
Whoa, they really were close. And what was that smell, was that… Rosemary maybe? Now it was his turn to blush.
He'd been trying to tease her, but there was a look in her eye that was more than embarrassment. Something stirred in the pit of his stomach and he felt his breath hitch.
What was going on, was he so dehydrated he'd started losing his mind? The expression on her face was driving him crazy; a look he'd never seen before so close.
In movies maybe, of a certain kind online.
Why was he playing around with her like this? He must be able to tell she was getting hot from more than just shame, she caught his eye again and felt her knees threaten to buckle. His gaze was so focused on her.
It felt like time had stopped between them. She could lose her job over something like this. If it got out-
Suddenly his mouth was on hers, hot breath fanning her face as he gave in to whatever this feeling was. She clutched the camera between them for dear life as she felt his tongue slide over hers.
A little moan escaped as the tempo increased, he knotted his hand into her hair and pulled, causing her to break the kiss with another moan, head leaning back. He started biting at her throat then, and she really did almost drop the camera.
"W-Wonwoo-ssi, ah, Wonwoo-ssi, the… the camera!" She managed to stutter as he ran his tongue along the sensitive area below her ear.
"What?"
"I'm, I'm gonna drop-"
"Oh."
At this he finally took the camera from her and laid it safely down.
Hang on, what was that?
They were standing a few feet apart now, and the air was getting awkward again.
"...W-we should go" She said, pointedly looking away and picking up the camera again. She could feel his sharp eyes on the back of her neck as she stooped down, but he didn't reach out.
Was this feeling… Disappointment?
The rest of the game passed uneventfully. When she and Wonwoo arrived at the summit, it turned out Minghao had won. They did some quick filming of reactions, said their goodbye pieces and finally the cameras were put away.
Because they were on location, the entire team had booked a hotel for the night. They'd drive back to Seoul first thing in the morning.
—
She leant against the cold wall under the running shower, her breath coming in hot gasps. The memory of the afternoon had played on her mind all evening until she just couldn't take it any more, and she excused herself to wash up first. Her roommate would probably be out until the small hours with the other staff members, they didn't get a break like this very often.
She shifted her weight slightly, adjusting the angle of her hand. She just couldn't stop thinking about him. Why had he kissed her?
Her breath hitched as she slowly inserted another finger, a soft sigh escaping. Wonwoo… He'd been so forceful too. So hungry. Her pace increased now, fully absorbed in the memory, his teeth on her throat, his hands in her hair…
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. She jumped shyly before turning off the shower and slipping into a bathrobe. Maybe her roommate had forgotten her key…pausing at the sink to wash her hands for good measure she let herself out into the hall and opened the door.
"Kimmie-ya, I swear you had your key-" alas, it was not forgetful Kim Min-Joo.
All at once his hands were on her, pushing her back through the door and into the room, kicking it shut behind him without even a glance.
"W-Wonoo-!" she tried to start as he backed her into the wall, before his mouth was on hers again, his tongue taking no prisoners. Her heart felt like it might explode as she let him kiss her, her mind racing. They couldn't do this. This wasn't right. She could lose her job. He could ruin his career. Suddenly, she felt his knee slip between her legs and his weight press her further into the wall. It was no use, she wanted him, she needed to feel him.
Her once limp arms slipped up around his neck, pulling their heated kiss even closer.
He felt her whimper into his mouth as his hand knotted into her wet hair, and he realised she had been in the shower when he'd knocked. His free hand pushed the already loose robe from her shoulders, revealing her nakedness. There was a sharp intake of breath as the cold air hit her, and then another whimper as he brushed a thumb over an exposed nipple. She was soft, her body all curves compared to his angles, and he marvelled at how she ground her heat against his leg with each touch.
She let go of him with a start as he pulled her hair again, breaking their kiss and seeing stars. His teeth were at her jugular again and she urgently grabbed his shirt, desperately looking for something tangible to cling to as he pushed her buttons. A moan escaped her as he ran his tongue along her collarbone and she was vaguely aware of how undone she'd become, and how quickly too .
Her breathing came in gasps and Wonwoo noticed she was close. Extracting the hand from her hair and bringing it to her chin, he held her gaze for a moment before gently sliding a finger inside of her, watching her expression. Her eyes widened in shock before scrunching shut in concentration.
Cute.
"Let go" he whispered before roughly adding another finger and kissing her deeply again. This seemed to have the intended effect, as suddenly she tightened around him, her hands grasping at his shirt again. He fingered her slowly as she rode out her orgasm, weak kneed and leaning into him, his arm looped around her waist for support.
Suddenly he pulled his fingers away, and she felt a strange sense of loss. But it wasn't to be for long. She felt herself being flipped, her face pressed against the cold wall. The robe that had been pinned between them finally slipping to the floor. Through her afterglow haze she vaguely registered the rustle behind her, and the sound of a packet being ripped. Before a question could fully form however, she felt something hot and hard push against her still slick entrance, and realised. He wanted his turn.
She rocked her hips back, taking him in easily. He sighed behind her shakily, unmoving, getting used to the feel of her heat engulfing him so completely. He wouldn't last long like this. To hell with it, who was he trying to impress? He pulled out almost totally before slamming his hips against her. She moaned then, and he realised this was going to be even harder than he'd thought. He grabbed onto her hips for dear life and rammed into her, each thrust making her whimper beneath him, her hands scrabbling at the wall for purchase.
There it was; with a sudden rush of heat he was seeing stars against the back of his eyelids.
Beneath him, she bucked one last time with an urgent gasp, her own orgasm hitting her.
They stayed like that for a few moments, each lost in their own afterglow. Finally he slipped out of her, and her knees buckled.
"Sorry," he said, his back to her now, cleaning up after himself.
"... It's fine" She replied, averting her eyes, not really sure what the apology was for. Letting her gaze wander she suddenly spotted a room key on the floor next to her roommates case. Ah.
She felt the robe being draped over her shoulders, and looked up into his concerned face. She smiled. "You should really get out of here. My roommate is going to realise she's forgotten her keycard any time now."
He smiled back, that nose scrunch she adored. "Yeah, Mingyu is going to wonder what's taking me so long with the delivery" he got up and opened the door to reveal two white takeout bags, completely disregarded in the heat of the moment.
As he let himself out of the hotel room, he turned back one last time with a smile.
"See you around, Noona"
Notes: Authors Note: That took a little while eh? This one had a few rewrites as I couldn't get the tone right. I'm still not super happy with it, but thought it best to just call it at this point! Who shall we do next? Mingyu? Jeonghan? Coups? I'll see how I feel. Kiss kiss OAK
