Astral Secrets with Stronger Resolve
Izuku is seen in his bedroom with his eyes glue to the ceiling where is the only place in the room that isn't covered in an All Might poster and other stuff and doesn't feel like looking at All Might right now.
"(It's been three days since the incident with the villain.)" Izuku thought remembered that day.
(Flashback, Three Days Ago)
The scene shows Izuku still looking at his own reflection trying to figure out what these weird crests on his back and eyes, Rinwell is on her phone just calling the police about the defeated villain.
"(Rinwell called the police about the villain, and I protected her in self-defense. After that, we left the scene.)" Izuku thought surprised a little.
Now Rinwell and Izuku are seen in another location together and a few blocks away from the scene with the villain.
"I hope the Pro Heroes will show up when I told them to hurry before the villain wakes up." Rinwell concerned.
"I'm sure they'll arrive, there are two of three heroes around the area." Izuku assured.
"Listen, Izuku. Let's not tell anyone about what just happened, especially about your powers. At least not just yet to tell them it's a Quirk." Rinwell said.
"Huh, why and what do you mean by that?" Izuku confused of what Rinwell is talking about, but she shoves her book onto his face and looks around to see there is no one around.
"I promise to explain everything. But just wait for three days, that's on the weekend. I'll come over to your place and we'll talk somewhere private." Rinwell promised before walking away.
Izuku tried calling out to her, but Rinwell kept going meaning she really wanted him to wait for three days on Saturday for them to talk about what happened.
"(And so, I decided to go along with her request and waited for three days.)" Izuku thought decided.
Izuku went into his own direction and walk back home, unknowingly to him that Hootle is high above and following Izuku from behind.
(Flashback End)
"(For the next three days, we just went about our normal school days like nothing happened, but I couldn't stop thinking about that power I unleashed, and I'm really worried about what Rinwell said.)" Izuku thought looked at his hand.
Izuku has been doing a little secret training of his own to try summoning that power again, but nothing he did seem to work.
"Izuku! Izuku! Come out quickly!" A woman called out to her son.
"Huh, I wonder what mom needs right now?" Izuku asked as he got off from his bed.
Izuku left his bedroom to meet up with his mom to see what got her to call him out excited like that until he spotted Rinwell standing right outside of the front door of this home.
"RINWLLYOUREHERE?!" Izuku gasped and talked back.
"Hello Izuku, I did say I'd come and see you in three days." Rinwell greeted.
"Oh my, my baby boy not only made himself a new friend at school, but he invited a girl to our home like a date!" Inko cried crazy with two literal tears of river.
Inko Midoriya has large and circular eyes. Her hair and eyes are also green, but in a slightly darker shade than her son's. Her hair is straight and shoulder-length, with a small and spiky ponytail. She wears a pale pink shirt, blue skirt, and white slippers.
"Ma'am, please calm down! We're not dating or anything, and how are you crying this much?" Rinwell tried to calm the woman down.
"Mom, please! You're embarrassing me!" Izuku begged his mom to stop with the waterworks.
"A-Anyway, me and Rinwell have to get going. Bye!" Izuku moved himself and Rinwell away from the apartment.
The two young teens are down and outside of the apartment building as the green hair boy pants a little from having to rush himself and Rinwell out of there before things could become intense.
"I'm so sorry about my mom, she can be very emotional." Izuku apologized for his mom's behavior.
"It's okay, I can understand that some parents can be that embarrassing like that. At least, that's how I remember." Rinwell said, with a little sadness in her eyes.
"A-Anyway, let's go to somewhere I know of a place for us to talk!" Rinwell grabbed Izuku's hand and drag him away.
"(Oh man, she's grabbing my hand again! And my heart won't stop racing!)" Izuku thought gasped.
(Takoba Municipal Beach Park)
"Okay, this place should be a place for us to have our talk." Rinwell said.
"Surrounded by garbage, I guess it's a good place to have a secret talk about what happened though I wish you could've picked a place that doesn't smell like shit." Izuku said as he plugged his nose.
"Sorry, but it was the only place I could think of that doesn't have any people these days." Rinwell apologized.
"Although, it does sadden me to see how much people have been throwing their trash away just because some other trashes have been washing up on this part of the beach." Rinwell commented.
"Oh yeah, I think I heard about this from online." Izuku recalled seeing this on the website.
"Anyway, we're here to talk about your power." Rinwell said.
"Could I at least ask how you even knew where I live? I don't remember giving you, my address." Izuku asked.
"Oh, I had Hootle follow you and he informed me." Rinwell answered and Hootle nodded.
"(Okay, I guess that's one way of knowing where your friends live.)" Izuku thought weirded out that he was spied on by a baby owl.
"So, from what you said three days ago, you made it sound like my power isn't a Quirk." Izuku said.
"That's because it isn't a Quirk, it's something so much than anything you nor anyone in this world have ever seen in hundreds of years." Rinwell said with a serious look in her eyes.
"Not a Quirk…?" Izuku was shocked to hear that.
"Listen to me, Izuku. What I'm about to tell you is something that nobody knows and has to stay that way, can you promise me to keep all of this a secret?" Rinwell asked and taking Izuku's hands into hers.
Izuku can definitely see how serious Rinwell is being right now and deep within himself, he knows that she is telling the truth about his power not being a Quirk which means there must be a deeper meaning than he thought.
"I promise." Izuku nodded.
"Glad to hear that!" Rinwell smiled and Hootle toot cheerfully.
"Great, now huh… could you let go of my hands?" Izuku asked, blushing like crazy.
Rinwell was confused when Izuku ask her of that until she looks down seeing her hands clenching onto him like a desperate girlfriend, and that causes her to blush like crazy too with realizing that this scene looks like they're a couple.
Rinwell quickly retreated her hands away and Hootle just look at her with curiosity in his eyes.
"R-Right, the big reveal!" Rinwell tried to keep herself focus.
"Okay, do you remember how I mentioned my Quirk being controlling the elements?" Rinwell asked.
"Yeah, I always thought it was awesome!" Izuku nodded.
"Thank you, and the thing is… My power isn't a Quirk, just like you. I'm what you called an abnormal or something like that." Rinwell revealed.
"What…? WHAAAAT?!" Izuku shouted in shock.
"Your Quirk isn't a Quirk? But how is that even possible? If your power isn't a Quirk then how are you able to do the wind and lightning, and the earth move you did the other day to push Kacchan away? This is something that shouldn't even be possible to have a power without a Quirk, but that would be like a fanfic story or something that is not even this world!" Izuku mumbled on in shock.
Rinwell becomes weirded out on seeing Izuku getting so worked up about this new info he just received, she hopes that Izuku doesn't hurt himself with all that thinking.
"I know it's a lot to take in, but you gotta calm down." Rinwell advised.
"Oh, I'm so sorry! It's just a habit that happens whenever I hear something new or interesting that makes me want to think of them like the heroes and their Quirks." Izuku explained.
"That's fine, I can understand your reaction if I was in your shoes." Rinwell said.
"So, if neither of our powers are Quirk then what are they?" Izuku asked.
"Astral Energy." Rinwell answered with her book open, and her body glows a little brightly.
"You see, Izuku, our world actually had a different powerful energy source, and it was very, very long before the existence of Quirk and it was something that everyone had within their own bodies." Rinwell revealed this hidden knowledge.
Then she forms six little balls of element floating around her like asteroids or little planets orbiting around herself. Each of them is fire, water, wind, earth, darkness and light.
"Astral energy is the lifeforce in all matter. It comes in six elements: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Light, and Darkness. And those who are able to do more when gathering them from their surroundings and into their bodies, then they can do many wonders." Rinwell explained.
"Really, everyone can that do?" Izuku asked surprise.
"Those from the ancient past, yes. However, a great crisis happened that nearly ended the entire world only to be spared but at the cost of mostly all the Astral Energy that used to everything in this world has been sacrificed." Rinwell explained about something terrible that happened in the past.
"What was this crisis?" Izuku asked, feeling a bit scared.
"I'm not entirely sure, the books I read about it were old and didn't have much detail on that event, but what I do know is that the Astral Energy was being used for evil." Rinwell shook her head.
"Oh, I guess it's better to give up on the power than letting someone evil use it." Izuku commented.
"But wait, if all the Astral Energy were sacrificed in order to save the world, then how do you and I have them?" Izuku asked.
"That's another thing I'm going to tell her." Rinwell crossed her arms onto her book.
"Before the ancient warriors who battled the great evil could perform the ritual that took all the Astral Energy from the world, they needed to make sure that they're own Astral Energy wouldn't be taken nor use against them." Rinwell ceased the six orbs of elements and show a small ball of light in front of her chest.
"They decided to cast a powerful spell that would assure the Astral Energy would always remain in their bodies even when the rest of the world loses it." Rinwell said.
"From what I can understand, they made the Astral Energy within their bodies to be unable to leave them for the rest of their lives. That it can't be manipulated and stolen from them, you can think of it like a highly advance robot build with a special energy that runs on infinite energy." Rinwell explained.
"Kinda ironic for you to use science as an example for something that sounds like magic." Izuku commented.
"Hey, it's the best thing I could come up with for you to understand." Rinwell glared.
"Anyway, the ancient warriors won their battle and the world continue living with no Astral Energy as the people were able to learn to get by." Rinwell finished the story.
Rinwell walks up closer to Izuku, which is making him blush from the approach, and place a hand on his chest to sense the Astral Energy within his own body that feels strong, much stronger than anything she had ever felt before and that just her own Astral Energy and her parents.
"I'm not sure how, but it looks like you have a very special and powerful type of Astral Energy within your body." Rinwell said.
"How come I never knew about this until now?" Izuku asked.
"I'm not sure, either you could be a descendant of the ancient warriors, or the Astral Energy has somehow been growing inside of you." Rinwell guessed.
"Whatever the case, it's now clear that you have this power." Rinwell said.
"Izuku, you need to let that power go. Let it flow through your body like how you did when you saved me from that villain." Rinwell advised.
"But it just came out of nowhere!" Izuku pointed out that it was just some instinct.
"Even so, you still wanted to save me despite being Quirkless! Let the power become one with you, let it join your feelings to help others and wanting to be a hero!" Rinwell stated.
"(Wanting to be a hero?)" Izuku thought repeated what Rinwell just said.
He started to remember that villain incident three days ago, how much he wanted to save the new girl in town who just became his new friend and stood up to Kacchan for him, someone brave and strong hanging out with someone like him.
Izuku couldn't let her go, not when he was just starting to get to know her more and couldn't let her get hurt by that villain.
"I…" Izuku clutched his hand.
His body started to glow faintly of that same white and rainbow color aura as before though smaller.
"I want to become a who smiles for the people to feel safe from danger, to always tell them that everything is going to be okay when hope has come to save the day! To tell them all that I am here!" Izuku shouted with strong determination.
After saying all of that, the glow grew bigger and a little brighter with the crest appearing behind on his back and in his right eye again with a little burst of a shockwave.
"That's it, you're doing it!" Rinwell cheered as Hootle flies around joyfully that Izuku is okay.
"Wow, this power is amazing! It's so much at once!" Izuku surprised of this Astral Energy from within his own body.
"Hey Rinwell, can I ask you something?" Izuku asked.
"Sure, what is it?" Rinwell allowed him to ask a question.
"You said the world used to have Astral Energy, how long ago was that?" Izuku asked curiously as he looks at himself and the aura.
"If you mean the specific number, then I'm not sure about that. But I have been able to deduce that the time Astral Energy was gone from the world was about 1200 years ago, which would mean it was around the time within the year 1000." Rinwell answered with what she knows.
"And if you're wondering about why we don't know about all this stuff in history books and such alike, it's because most people have grown to forgotten about Astral Energy ever existing as they grew to a life without the power. Those who knew the truth would keep all of it a secret and hide our powers." Rinwell explained.
"It was the same way for my family, which we have been known as Mages, that is until one day something unexpected change the world forever." Rinwell said.
"The appearing of Quirks!" Izuku realized what Rinwell was going with.
"That's right, with Quirks now appearing, it became harder for those who are descendants the ancients and having the power of Astral Energy to hide themselves." Rinwell nodded.
"So, we continue to blend in with the others and saying that our powers are Quirks." Rinwell mentioned.
"It must've been hard for you to keep all of this a secret, especially to your closest friends." Izuku said.
"Well, I don't actually have any friends. Just Hootle, people always pick on me because of how smart and some are afraid because of my power." Rinwell admitted with her cheeks blushing.
"But now that you know about Astral Energy, I've come up with a plan to help you get more use to your power and you can use it to become a great hero like All Might! That is if you're okay with it." Rinwell offered to help Izuku.
"Are you kidding, being a hero is what I've always wanted ever since I was a little kid and nothing in the world could ever change that!" Izuku excitedly.
"Guess that's the kind of answer I expect from you. Soon, your Sovereign will definitely help more people." Rinwell smiled.
"Sovereign?" Izuku puzzled of that word.
"The name of your power. When people used to have Astral Energy that can also allow them to perform the elements, there was this symbol that always mean they are above the rest like a ruler above all with the Astral Energy being purer and one with the user like they have the strength of the world. That is called Sovereign, the ruler of the world." Rinwell explained.
"Wow! I can't wait to see what I can do!" Izuku smiled.
"Me too!" Rinwell nodded as Hootle flies around both teens.
And so, Izuku and Rinwell's heroic adventure begins.
