AN: Probably a bit late for this to be necessary, but if you're not caught up with the rest of this AU, then you might be a tad confused by this one.

(Not so) Deep in the woods near Gravesfield, there was an old cabin. If anyone were near this cabin, they might hear the high-pitched whir of a power drill.

"GAAAHHH-AH-AH-ah-ah!"

However, it was much more likely that this hypothetical person would instead be hearing the eardrum-shattering scream resulting from the use of said drill.

Inside the shack, the one holding the drill released the trigger on it and glared at her subject. "Hooty would you quit squirming around? You're only making this harder for both of us!"

"I-I'm sorry Eda," gasped the owl-worm-thing. "I-it just… it tickles so much!"

Eda sighed as she grabbed another screw. "Well could you at least try to keep it down a bit?" She lined her recently-borrowed drill up to the next hole in the mounting she was attempting to install on Hooty's now-slightly-more-permanent-than-intended bird house.

"Okay, I'll try!"

"Thank you!" *Whirrrr*

"GAAAHHH-AH-AH-ah-ah!"

Camila Noceda looked out at the woods. "Huh…" she mused, "…I don't think I've heard that animal around before…" Actually, she didn't even have any idea what that animal is! She shrugged and finished getting into her car; maybe she'd ask around work later if anyone else had heard anything.

Several minutes of unbearable torture (for Eda) later and Hooty's modifications were now complete. "Annnd that should do it; how do you feel?"

"I feel like a new house!" Hooty exclaimed, spinning the two large wheels mounted on his base, as well as the two swivel wheels on his upper backside. A suitcase-like handle also extended and retracted from the top.

Eda took him off the table and set his wheels on the ground. "Okay, go ahead and take 'er for a spin."

"WHEEEE!" Hooty screamed, shooting off like a rocket-propelled wheelchair.

"H-hey, slow down!" Eda called after him.

One of the doors in the hallway opened up and Amity peaked her head out. "Are you done ye- AH!" She leapt to the side as Hooty barreled past her.

Eda's eyes bulged. "Hooty no that's the-!"

*CRASH!* "Agh!" *THUNK!* "Ack!" *THUMP!* "Oof!" *THUD!* "…I'm okay!"

"…Basement…" Eda finished lamely. She placed her palm to her forehead and sighed. "This may have been a mistake…" she murmured.
