The Daily Lives of The Owl Familia: P2:
A Trip to the Human Realm
Summary: The Familia prepares for a trip into the Human Realm.
Timeline: Two months have passed since the Day of Unity was stopped.
King was bouncing on his feet as his family got everything ready; today, his entire family was going to the human realm to do some shopping, and he was finally going with them!
The young titan was hot on the heels of Luz as she and the rest of the Familia finished getting ready.
"Do we have enough human realm snails for the trip?" Lilith asked.
"I will take out about 500 dollars from my bank account when we get to Gravesfield," Camila replied.
Lilith nodded and then turned her attention to her blood sister. "And Edalyn, I expect you to be on your best behavior while in the human realm."
Eda rolled her eyes and retorted, "Why do you always single me out, sis?"
With a small scowl, Lilith walked up to her sister. "Maybe it has to do with your history of causing trouble in Gravesfield. Plus, this would be King's first trip into the human realm, and I want it to be memorable."
Amity frowned as she finished fixing her hair so her ears were covered. "I don't get it, mom, King's been to the human realm before."
"That's true, Dear," Lilith replied, "But you must remember, the last time he was exhausted because of all the blood he donated."
Amity nodded, seeing her mother's point, and finished getting ready. Lilith smiled at her daughter and then turned her attention to King.
"Before we leave, King," she said, getting her nephew's attention, "There's one more thing we must take care of."
The historian took something from her pocket as she got close to the young titan. She kneeled down and placed the concealment stop around King's neck. King glowed blue for a second and then was covered in blue smoke.
The Familia gathered around, eager to see what King's human disguise looked like.
"He's adorable!" Camila exclaimed admiringly.
Luz nodded her agreement as she couldn't take her eyes off her little brother. King's disguise was a mix of Eda's and Luz/Camila's features; he had Eda's skin complexion and Luz's hair and eyes. He wore a pair of overalls and a black sweater.
Because of his horns, King's hair looked like a giant afro. Eda cocked an eyebrow and looked at Lilith.
"You couldn't shell out a little more for a custom stone?" the ex-wild asked.
"I happened to find him cute," Lilith replied then looked at the rest of her family. "Now, I believe it is time for us to take a trip."
The Owl Familia agreed and made their way to their portal door.
(An hour later)
Luz took in the aroma of the local coffee shop, nostalgia filling her. While she was grateful for Grandma Gwen helping her with her demon realm's food issue, she sometimes craved some human food.
"So, I will have a pumpkin-spice Latte with a blueberry muffin," she heard Amity say. "And what do you want, Luz?"
"I will also have a pumpkin-spice Latte, but I will have a chocolate chip muffin," the human witch replied.
The barista gave Luz a weird look before shrugging and began on the orders. While they waited, they joined Vee and King near the window. The young titan was looking out the window in awe at the different human vehicles passing by.
The human, witch, and Basilisk smiled as they saw their little brother/cousin's eyes sparkling. Soon the group's orders were ready, and they paid for their items.
"...Not bad," Amity muttered, taking a sip of her latte.
Luz nodded and was about to take a bite out of her muffin. Suddenly, someone barreled into the group, knocking the three teenagers to the ground.
Luz groaned as her head swam slightly from the sudden fall. She shook her head quickly and was about to look to see how everyone else was doing.
"LUZ!" she heard King scream.
The human witch gasped and looked down the road. She growled when she saw King being carried away by none other than Jacob Hopkins. Whatever pain she was feeling was instantly forgotten as she jumped to her feet.
"Hey! Put my little brother down!" Luz screamed angrily.
The human chased after the human when she realized Jacob wasn't going to drop King.
"Vee. Call our moms and tell them what's going on!" Luz heard Amity say.
The human watch didn't need to look to know that her fiancee was now running beside her. Together, the two hurried after Jacob as they planned to show the witch-hatting humane why you don't mess with the Owl Familia.
