Ghoul Break: The Familia's Final Outing:
Day 2: Adult Time: Part 1

"Well, now that we got everything out of the way, Rainestorm and I are off to someplace… private!" Eda announced and winked at her partner.

Raine went red in the face as Eda led them away. Lilith and Camilia watched as their sister went to parts unknown and then hurried after the kids.

The two "knocked-down" adults took out their beach towels and got things ready for a little relaxing in the sun; Camila looked over her orange one-piece, white beach coat and smiled. Her swimwear hugged her body in the right places and had openings on the sides and chest area. She wore a straw hat, clipped-on sunglasses over her eyewear, and sandals matching her swimwear.

Camila took a seat on her towel, took out a spell card from her beach bag, and activated the glyph combo. The piece of paper turned into a ball of light and bathed Camila in its glow. It lasted for about two seconds, and when it died down, the "knocked-down" mother had a shine to her skin.

"How did I ever live without a tanning lotion spell?" Camila moaned appreciatively, taking off her coat so she could get some sun.

She laid down on her towel and bathed in the sun of the Demon Realm's sun.

"Indeed," Camila heard Lilith reply, "Much more efficient than rubbing a potion all over your skin. I can't believe no one considered such a spell until this point. I must remember to think Masha when the week's over."

Camila looked over at her sister in all but blood and couldn't help but admire Lilith's in her outfit.

Lilith also wore a single-piece swimsuit, but her shoulders were exposed as straps held her suit in place. Her sides and stomach were also exposed, and she had a white towel around her waist. She also had a straw hat, but hers was slightly smaller than the one Camila wore.

Camila smiled as she studied the symbol on the towel. It was a picture of an owl with five owlets under it. This was the symbol of the Owl Familia, thought up by her Mija. It filled the "knocked-down" human mother with joy whenever she saw the emblem.

She put her head back on the towel and was about to doze off when they heard a familiar cry. Camila opened her eyes and sat up by her elbows. Her eyes narrowed when she saw Bria, her cousin Snotty, and a few others she didn't know near the KDC.

She growled when she realized that Snotty was pulling King's tail. The current 14-year-old got up and was about to go over and give those brats a piece of her mind. No one pulls her nephew's tail and lives to tell about it.

"Hold, sister," Lilith said calmly. "Though they are younger, I believe our kids can handle such an ordeal."

Camila shot Lilith a glare, but the historian held her ground. Soon, the meaning behind the witch's words reached her, and she calmed down slightly.

"...I'll watch, but if something happens…se quitaron los guantes," Camila stated firmly.

"And I will join you," Lilith promised.

Camila reluctantly took a seat on the beach and watched as her kids began to fight with Snotty's group. The human nearly lost it when the witches began to fight with their magic, creating arms out of abominations and plants. She gasped as she watched the vine arm Willow and Boscha created get covered in hardened sand and begin to fall.

She sighed with relief when Bria used her magic to throw the vine arm away.

Camila began to relax and continued to watch her kids. She couldn't help but make a face when Gus created an illusion of a wrestling ring and put Hunter and the biped demon in wrestling outfits.

The human just shook her head as she realized what Gus was basing his illusion on. "Mija shouldn't have shown anime to Gus," Camila muttered offhandedly.

"Indeed," Lilith added, somewhat awkwardly.

The two mothers watched as Gus stopped his spell. However, Luz got an idea from the trick her friend pulled, and soon, a makeshift wrestling ring was set up, and Hunter and the biped demon began to wrestle.

Camila and Lilith watched the match, cheering for Hunter to win. They were slightly disappointed when Braxas used his species' shapeshifting abilities to knock Huner to the ground and pin him.

"Poor Hunter," Camila commented, feeling bad for the boy.

"Yes, and Hunter would probably be sulking all day from this defeat," Lilith muttered offhandedly.

Camila looked at Lilith curiously, and the historian clarified before the human could ask.

"Remember, Hunter was once part of the Emperor's Coven. We are trained in some basic fighting skills in case our magic fails us at any point. Hunter was also the former Golden Guard, so even a meaningless defeat like this would probably weigh heavy on him."

Camila nodded as she remembered a classmate from College who got into boxing and suffered such a loss it nearly caused him to drop the sport. So, she decided to go and help comfort the boy.

The human mother stood up, and it seemed Lilith had the same idea as she also got up. The two were about to make their way over when two teenage witches blocked their path.

"How, babies, fancy hitting the wave with a stud of witch?" a witch with sandy blonde hair and green eyes asked, speaking confidently.

The second witch, a girl with hair and purple highlights, looked at Lilith and then looked away shyly.

Camila made a small, annoyed face and then said, as politely as possible, "Sorry, but we have more important things to do than hang out with you two."

Lilith nodded her agreement, and both tried to walk around the witch. The sandy-haired witch didn't like that he was being brushed off and used a spell to create a sand wall.

"Listen, I can tell you're new here," the witch said, some anger working its way into his voice, "But here, I'm the king, and no one says no to me."

Camila just rolled her eyes and backed up until she was near her towel. She bent down and picked up her bag. She took a spell card from it and activated the glyph on it. She tossed and landed at the male witch's feet.

A blue let shined on the witch, and in a poof of blue smoke, his bright red Speed-O changed. Now, he wore a pink tutu and leggings, and his face was so loaded with makeup that it was hilarious.

The witch took one look at himself, let out a high-pitched scream, and ran off. He was so frantic he failed to see his appearance return to normal after leaving the spot where the spell card was thrown.

The female witch looked at the two one last time and then hurried after her friend. Lilith watched all this with a curious eye and then looked at Camila.

"I wasn't aware that my sweet flea managed to create an illusion combo."

The "knocked-down" human mother gave her sister-in-all-but-blood a cheeky grin that reminded Lilith of Luz at the moment.

"Oh, Mija didn't make that one I did," Camila replied proudly, much to Lilith's surprise. "Can't let Mija have all the fun with magic, can I."

Lilith couldn't help but smile at this. "Indeed, especially after seeing such great entrainment."

Camila and Lilith shared a girlish giggle as they went over to see if their kids needed help with anything.

Alador sighed as he ran his hand through his hair and looked down at the water. Unlike the rest of the Familia, the inventor wasn't in swimwear. Instead, he wore a pair of gray khakis, the same sandal from the other day, and a lilac button-down shirt with sakura petals on it. He also had a bead bracelet on his right wrist and a matching necklace.

He sighed as he looked at his outfit. This was the outfit Emira and Edric picked out from him originally. He dirtied it shortly after getting dressed because he went to work on a project before it was time to go to the Owl House.

The twins were fuming in the only way children could when they saw the shape of the outfit they picked out. Thankful a day of magically cleaning fixed that.

Speaking of his kids…look down. Emira and Edric were both at his side, smiling in a near-innocent manner. Aaldor couldn't stop the bitter smile from crossing his lips. He could barely remember seeing those smiles on his children's faces during their first childhood.

He tried to make his smile warmer as he got down on his right knee. "Shouldn't you two be playing with your friends?" he asked softly.

Em and Ed didn't answer, not with words. Instead, they hugged their father. This time, Alador's smile turned genuinely warm, and he returned the hug. The three stayed like that until they heard a gruff voice.

"If I'm interrupting anything, I can return later."

With a sigh, Alador stood up and faced Darius. The chairman of infernal affairs had an indifferent look on his face as he stared at his old rival. The inventor couldn't help but blush as he looked at the black speed-O he was wearing.

Alador composed himself before looking at his kids. "Can you two give us some private time?" he asked gently.

The twins gave their father a look of defiance and made it clear they had no plans to leave their father's side. Alador frowned as he thought of a way he could speak with Darius privately.

Thankfully, the titan saw fit to throw him a bone; the group suddenly heard a noise and looked behind Darius.

They watched as Jacob came running towards them, trying to get something off of her.

"WHAT ARE THESE THINGS!" the former adult male screamed.

The group of four watched Jacob pull some stonarbs off her, only to have them quickly crawl up her legs and put their pincers into her skin. This caused Jacob to scream and run off as she tried to pull them off again.

A few seconds later, Cat Oldstone came into view with the BATs following close behind her.

"Did you see where a woman girl ran off to?" the future healer asked calmly.

Awkwardly, Darius and Alador pointed in the direction Jacob ran off to, and Cat looked in that direction. She offered a quick thanks and took off with the BATs.

"Wait!" Darius called to the group. "Take the Blight children with you. If I remember my general studies, stonarbs are susceptible to illusions. They could be a great help!"

Cat looked at the "knocked-down" twins and remembered how good they were with their illusions. So, with a quick spell circle, she lifted the two into the air and hurried after the transformed human, ignoring the twins' protests.

Darius and Alador watched as the group left and then looked at each other awkwardly. For the next few minutes, the two stood around in awkward silence.

Finally, Alador sighed under his breath and opened his mouth.

"I'm sorry, Alador," Darius suddenly said, holding up a hand. "But I am not doing this."

"Doing what?" the inventor asked, a hint of fear working into his voice.

Darius sighed, pinched the bridge of his nose, and walked over to the shoreline. Alador thought about getting closer but decided it might be best to keep some distance between them.

"I'm not blind," Darius said calmly, "I'm aware of all the looks you've been giving me during the weekly dinner The Owl Familia hosts. And I can't do this. I don't think I feel that way about you anymore."

Alador looked at his ex-boyfriend, a strange mixture of disappointment and regret on his face. He then looked and guiltily looked at the ground.

"...I know I hurt you," Alador began, "And-"

Darius interrupted his ex with a hollow laugh that seemed to echo all around them.

"No, Aaldor," Darius said, speaking in a harsh tone, "You did more than just hurt me, and you know it."

The guilt in Alador's eyes grew as he looked to his right. But the floodgates were open, and it was finally time for Darius to get everything off his chest he had been carrying for the last 20 years.

"I couldn't care less that you were also seeing Odalia," Darius said, his tone getting harsher, "What I cared about was that you never told me. For Titan's sake, Alador, we were together for over a year, and you never told me."

The guilt Alador was feeling was nearly overwhelming, but somehow kept himself together and sighed.

"Odalia didn't want anyone to know we were together," the inventor muttered weakly.

"Ha!" Darius laughed, throwing his head back. "Typical. That woman was controlling you even during our youth. I would like to say I'm surprised, but after all she pulled in the last year, nothing about the woman surprises me."

The chairman looked at his ex and scowled when he saw that Alador had taken a few steps away from him. The inventor was also going out of his way to avoid eye contact.

With a growl, he walked over to Alador and grabbed his chin. He gently forced the inventor to look him in the eyes.

"When I needed someone after my parents died in that accident, you weren't there," Darius said calmly. "And to make matters worse, I learned from someone else about your relationship with Odalia."

Darius let go of Alador and turned away from him. The Abomination inventor watched as his first love began to walk away.

"So, no, Alador," Darius said sadly, "I don't love you like that anymore. But for your children's sake, I hope you can push past this point and be there for them, unlike how you weren't there for me."

Alador watched as Darius walked away and sighed. He stuck his hands into his pant pockets and looked at his reflection in the water.

"I deserved that," he muttered sadly and then went to help Cat and others with the human's stonarbs problem.

Eda was getting frustrated; she had spent nearly twenty minutes looking for a spot where she and Raine could have some alone time. But since it was Ghoul Break and the beach was packed. So, finding the right spot was getting to be a chore.

"Eda," Raine whined, "Why don't we call it quits and head back to the others? We're not going to find a spot."

But Eda was determined; nothing was going to stop her from finding a spot. Raine sighed when they saw Eda stop and scan the area for the 12th time and look at their future wife.

Raine blushed slightly as they took in Eda's appearance. The "knocked-down" bard was wearing a two-piece, red and gold swimsuit. She also has a red towel with the Owl Familia crest tied around her waist. The suit's top was tattered around the edges.

Eda had her hair down and was wearing a straw hat titled in a way the sunlight gave the ex-wild witch's face a certain glow. Raine couldn't help but admire how their future wife looked, especially compared to their plain, red, and white full-body swimsuit. And the way she was swinging her hips as she looked around was driving them a little wild.

"A-HA!" Eda suddenly screamed and pointed off into the distance.

Raine looked in the direction Eda was pointing but didn't get a good look; Eda grabbed them by the wrist and began running to the spot she found. Raine nearly tripped because they were off balance.

Soon, however, the two reached two large rocks, and there wasn't another soul in sight. Eda scanned the area and grinned when she was sure she and Raine were alone.

"This is what I am talking about!" Ed exclaimed triumphantly and then looked at Raine with a seductive smile. "Now, the real fun can begin."

Eda began to advance on Raine, and the "Knocked-down" bard couldn't help but blush as they could take a wild guess what Eda had in mind. Eda closed the gasp, took Raine by the hips, and slowly brought her face close to theirs.

Suddenly, something came crushing behind the rocks near the two witches, hitting with enough force that it shook the ground a little. Eda and Raine nearly fell, but Raine hugged their girlfriend and planted their feet on the ground. The shaking ceased after a few seconds, and Raine loosened their hold on Eda.

"Umm," Raine moaned, looking behind Eda.

"No!" Eda exclaimed sharply, wrapping her arms around Raine's neck and keeping their eyes on her. "Don't look. You hear me, Rainestorm? Don't look!"

Raine nodded and wrapped their arms around Eda's body. They leaned in for a kiss when they heard screaming. Curious, they looked to the right and saw Jacob barreling towards them. With a sigh, they pushed Eda away just as Jacob reached them.

Eda couldn't help but wince when Jacob collided with Raine, and both fell to the ground. The current bard witch gasped when she saw the stonarbs crawling all over the transformed human. She whistled, and the witch and human were covered in bard magic.

She levitated the two into the air and separated them. She kept Jacob in the air and put Raine on the ground, releasing them from her magic.

"Raine!" she nearly shouted, "Are you okay? Did any of those stonarbs get on you?"

Raine shook their head to clear it and then checked themselves over. They smiled with relief with they saw they were crab-free.

"Don't worry," they said reassuringly, "Nothing's on me. But what are we going to do about her?"

Suddenly, Cat, the BATs, and the Blight twins all come rushing in. The healer-in-training was out of breath and slumped over with her hands on her knees as she tried to catch her breath.

"Finally," she gasped, "The toxins of…the stonarbs…isn't… fatal…but if we don't get it out soon, you'll be stiffer than a statue for the next 27 months."

She took a second to calm her breathing and then looked at the twins. Em and Ed got the message, and with childish grumbling, they made spell circles.

Suddenly, a large bird-like creature was floating in front of Jacob, and the illusion screeched. Jacob screamed, but this was more because the stonarbs were looking going in a rather painful way. Soon, the sea creatures fell to the ground.

"Good," Cat said, standing up straight. "Now we just need to remove the toxin before it settles."

"That's good and all," Eda grumbled impatiently. "Can you do it somewhere else? My Rainestorm and I are trying to have some "us" time."

Cat looked at the bard witch and couldn't flinch when she saw the glare Eda was giving her. She quickly made a spell, levitating Jacob into the air, and took off, with BATs and the twins following.

Raine watched the group leave and looked back at Eda. They quickly saw how irritated their girlfriend was and got close.

"You doing okay, Calamity?" they asked worryingly.

"NO!" Eda nearly screamed. "It's Ghoul Break, the week people decided to get "knocked-down"! Is it too much to ask to want to relive some of the best times in my life with the one I love?"

Raine took a step back as Eda went into a rant about anything and everything. They watched this for a minute before deciding to take matters into their own hands.

They got close to Eda and, in a bold move, grabbed her by the waist. Eda was caught off guard by this and was unprepared when Raine kissed her. It didn't take long for Eda to return the kiss, and they kept kissing for at least a minute.

When both nodded air, they separated. They took a second to catch their breath, and then Eda looked at Raine with a cheeky grin.

"That was a dirty trick…didn't know you had in you, Rainstorm," she said seductively.

Raine wore a bold smile as the two moved their faces close for another kiss when they heard a whistling second. The former rebel leader sighed as they recognized that noise.

They picked up Eda and moved away from the area just as two Titan arms came crashing down. The two bards looked at the arms and saw both replica arms were giving them the "thumbs-up" gestures.

"...Is Bill up to his old trick again?" Raine asked dryly, noticing the arm made out of vine and covered in sand behind the Titan's arms.

That, Witches and Demons, is my take on why Darius and Alador were on such bad terms during the show. And you all have guessed Alador dumping him and Darius's parents dying were the "series of events" he talked about in a recent Daily Live chapter.
And don't worry, you will learn what sort of mess Jacob put himself/herself in the next chapter.
