Ari and Ghost stared at their master and the others, while Olga tapped her foot in irritation. Ari cleared her throat and opened her mouth to speak.

"I thought you knew what I was," Ari stated honestly, staring at them with emerald eyes.

"What now!? The Throne of Heroes should've given you at least the mere basics on where you, when you are, hell even what other things are," Olga ranted waving her hands to emphasize her point.

Ghost hummed as that piece of information helped I'm with a small hypothesis. Throughout their journey thus far they've been getting sudden bursts of information, and now he has a name for the cause. Ari looked at Ghost briefly as they started right back at the group, attempting to think of the proper words to say.

"It's a long story, I will tell everyone when we are somewhere out of harm's way," Ari offered, as she felt a sense of coming threat and a familiar energy.

Mash felt it as well looking toward the city for its source. Olga shook her head before sighing "Fine, but I expect to hear this story when we find a temporary location to set up camp."

Ari merely nodded, and then they all heard the familiar roar of Taniks, the Abomination. Ari looked out in the same direction as Mash, as did the twins.

Through the fire, they saw the beast's glowing eyes as it stared at them yet again. Ritsuka and Gudako stepped back and Ghost disappeared, as Mash and Ari stood in front of the humans ready to hold off the behemoth, who roared at them.

Gudako took notice of the arm that Mash cut off now seemingly back. "It can regrow limbs!?"

"The Taniks I knew couldn't do that," Ari muttered receiving a small glare from Olga, who then cleared her throat.

"It seems to be a personal skill," Olga explained.

"So Mash and Ari can't do that?" Ritsuka asked.

"Ari, I don't know, but Mash cannot due to their current status as a Demi-servant," Olga quickly responded.

Mash looked at Ritsuka who gave a nervous smile back at her. She shook her head as she stared at the hovering Berserker.

The Caster slid along the burning building like a snowy mountain, rushing toward the Berserker. He heard its monstrous roar; smoke obscured his vision as he made his way downward. Runes appeared around him -glowing like a star- before changing and twisting into balls of pure flame. Each of them shot into the smoke, toward the hazy silhouette of Taniks.

When the Celt touched the ground he heard the shriek of pain, which sounded like a rabid dog. The Celt began to book it toward the group.

Ari and Mash felt the presence of someone else as the balls of flames hit the abomination in the back. It gave a blood-curtailing shriek.

"I sense the presence of another Servant," Mash stated turning toward the group.

Olga crossed her arms, "We are in the open, we can't fight two Servants here."

Before anyone could respond, Ari was already rushing Taniks, with her glaive in hand. Olga's face turned into one of pure anger as the twins felt scared for Ari if she survived.

"Ari's going to die again is she," Gudako asked in a somewhat deadpanned voice, to which Ritsuka nodded.

"How did we get stuck with a disobedient Servant," Olga growled. "She is the one who suggested to leave to somewhere safer! Ritsuka use a command seal!"

"What's that?" Ritsuka asked.

"Those symbols on your hand, just say 'by the power of this command seal' then order her to fall back!" Olga shouted.

Ari ran toward the distracted Berserker, spinning her digital glaive. "I recommend taking out its engines first," Ghost suggested.

Ari nodded, going into a slide and slashing the first booster first. Metal shattered causing Taniks to scream turning its attention to the Lancer. Taniks slammed its cannon down upon the Guardian. The Guardian stepped out of the way as dust flew into the air.

"By the power of this command seal," Ritsuka began in a confused manner, his dominant hand covered with strange symbols in front of him.

Ari felt a pull as she slammed her glaive into the next engine, followed by the sound of shattering metal. A small explosion came from Taniks' lower body. The monster, in retaliation, backhanded Ari with the force of a truck into the city proper. She flew through fire and flame, landing on the harsh concrete. Taniks aimed its weapon at her as she slowly attempted to stand up.

"I order you to fall back," Ritsuka shouted.

Olga muttered under her breath, in disappointment at herself and toward Ari. "This is a waste of a command seal."

Ari felt a pull against her will to follow those orders, as did Ghost. She very much believed she could take on and finish Taniks now but something now began to ache at her. She had hazy flashes to a moment she had no memory of herself taking part in, one where she was forced to do something she never wanted to do.

Ari gritted her teeth; Taniks opened fire upon the Guardian, who skillfully jumped over the oncoming shot. Ari kept running toward Taniks who fired another volley of flaming shots. Ari slid under them, going beneath Taniks' body. She jabbed her glaive into it for one final hit, followed by Taniks getting hit with a returning volley of fireballs.

Taniks roared and recoiled as Ari ran toward her Master and the group. "What the fuck was that!" Ari shouted in her head.

"I have no idea, though it didn't seem paracasual in nature, which is ironically unusual," Ghost chirped

Ritsuka swore he heard Ari and Ghost speak, and boy did he feel iky hearing Ari react to the command seal. He wished he knew more, but his gut told him deep down it was wrong.

Taniks gave a single roar as Mash moved to cover Ari's escape. Taniks shrugged off the attack as the metal on his lower body mended as if nothing happened. It opened fire like a cannon firing from a ship. Mash blocked each shot, buckling her knees under the weight of it.

The Celt stared at the seemingly unaffected berserker with a bewildered and irritated face. "Come on that had to hurt."

The Caster ran toward Taniks in a full sprint, dragging his staff against the ground. Twigs and branches began to sprout like tendrils rocketing toward Taniks. The Celt shipped upward as the wood jabbed into Taniks, causing the beast to scream. He then set the branches ablaze.

Taniks jerked around snapping the branches as it did so. The Celt smirked being met with one of the abomination's fists. His body flew across the concrete, landing near the middle of the road, much farther away from his goal.

Taniks raised an open palm to the air, as pillars of purple light appeared everywhere. The Celt glared readying himself for another charge. Taniks pulled its fist down, as metor-like objects fell towards them, following the path of the pillars.

The Celt sprinted toward Taniks at full force. He narrowly avoided the oncoming meteors, as they exploded around him when they collided with the ground. The Celt sent lept into the air, shooting flames toward Taniks. It shouted, grabbing the Celt by the neck.

The Caster gritted its teeth into a smile. "Just my luck."

Taniks gave a growl gripping him tighter, turning it's weapon toward the Celt. It charged up slowly heating up, as the Celt's face felt warmer. The Celt smirked and grew wider.

The group observed Taniks facing off with a new opponent. Ari had an utterly pissed-off face under her helmet, as she was thinking over what happened during her engagement with Taniks.

"We have to help whoever's fighting that monster," Gudako declared before being stopped by Olga.

"We have no idea if its combatant is an ally, so no," Olga added, which Gudako looked at her in defeat.

Ari paced behind them thinking to herself, when the sound of an explosion went off. Her head turned to see someone fly through the air above a rather recent smoke cloud. She looked at his blue hair and facial structure with awe and surprise.

"Wolf?" She asked herself.

Her ghost appeared above her shoulder looking at the figure as well. "They do look a lot alike at a glance, though it seems they're wearing warlock robes."

Ari marched over to Ritsuka whose eyes remained on the explosion, while Ghost disappeared. "Master, may I do what the redhead suggested and help them?"

Ritsuka turned and looked at Olga, then at the explosion weighing his options. He knew that logically, Olga was right, but something about the way Ari asked made it sound personal. Ritsuka's mind was playing tug-of-war between its emotions and logic.

"Fine, but don't get hurt," Ritsuka requested.

Olga shot a glare at them before Ari smiled with a sigh of relief, before running off. "What the, we just got her back here!?"

"Well we were just standing here so, we should do something," Ritsuka argued.

"She doesn't know my name," Gudako whimpered to herself with watery eyes.

"Just send in backup," Olga ordered.

"Alright," Ritsuka nodded. "Mash, could you help Ari?"

"I'm on it Senpai," Mash said sprinting behind the Lancer.

The Celt touched the ground sending a wave of fire at the Berserker who was roaring in absolute pain, its claw covering its burnt half of its face. Taniks flew out of the way before being struck by a shot from Ari's glaive. The Celt smiled seeing them.

"Took you two last long enough, I was beginning to think I put my faith in the wrong group of people," the Celt said.

"You know I would never leave you, Wolf," Ari states which earns a confused look from the Caster.

"Who?" he asked, before shaking his head.

Mash ran in front of them, shield held high. "We can discuss that later, first, we deal with the berserker."

Ari ran past Mash, stabbing Taniks who attempted to shoot at the Warlock. The Shielder slammed her shield into Taniks' arm diverting the shot as the Druid dragged his staff along the ground toward the abomination.

A tree sprouted from beneath Taniks stabbing the abomination. Ari hopped back as did Mash as it's lower body began to glow brightly.

"It seems that thing is going to blow!" The Celt noted.

"Get behind me!" Mash shouted raising her shield.

Ari grabbed Mash and pulled her back toward the Celt, as her glaive began to glow a vibrant purple. "From data and man, protect those I cannot."

Ari raised her glaive to strike the trapped and glowing Taniks. "From knowledge and myth, never be forgotten."

Taniks growls as the purple light of the glaive and the light from his drone-like legs are blinding. "I call upon you..."

"Vex-" Ari lets out a sigh underneath her helmet, starting at Taniks, who squirms like a rabid dog.

"CALIBUR!" Ari swings the glaive down on Taniks releasing a shock of purple energy.

It hits the three Servants, covering them in purple glowing armor as the explosion goes off.

Smoke covers their sight of the servants. Ritsuka and Gudako stare in horror unknowing if Ari and primarily Mash are okay. Ritsuka was mentally scolding himself that he sent Ari and Mash to their deaths. Olga felt sad about the loss of Mash, as she advertised her eyes.

Something began to pull itself through the smoke grabbing the attention of the twins. A scarlet claw pulled itself along the dirt, dragging Taniks' mostly destroyed torso. It's missing three of its limbs. Taniks' scorched head sparked as Ari walked out of the smoke stabbing Taniks in the head, putting it down for good, as his body drifted away as golden dust.

Mash soon followed, which led to the twins running over and hugging her. The Demi-servant stopped and soon smiled, embracing them.

"Thank god, you're safe," Gudako squealed.

"Thank you Senpai, for your concern," Mash responded with a smile.

"How did you guys survive?" Ritsuka asked.

As the smoke further clears, the Caster is revealed to them, wiping off the dirt from his robe. "Well, you can thank your blonde lass for that. She did a wonderful job as her Noble Phantasm!"

The twins looked at him raising an eyebrow. "One: what's a Noble Phantasm," Ritsuka asked.

"Two: who are you," Gudako soon followed up.

Olga stepped toward them, with her fists on her hip. "A Noble Phantasm is a special ability all Servants have, you are lucky that Ari had a defensive Noble Phantasm judging by the evidence," Olga said glaring at Ritsuka, who gave a nervous gulp.

The Caster cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Anyway, to answer your second question, I am Cu Chulainn, Caster Servant."

Gudako's eyes filled with stars as she read the legend of Cu Chulainn, and loved it, primarily for how absurd and awesome it was. "Oh my god, you are my hero!?"

"Are you seriously going to believe that," Ritsuka asked raising an eyebrow at his sister, who had a basic understanding of the myth.

"Well, we both; believed that Ari went the space and didn't question what Ghost was, or the fact that-" Gudako listed.

"Ok, I get the point," Ritsuka sighed in defeat.

Ari chuckled while Ghost appeared by her shoulder. Olga gave her a look before turning to Cu and then Gudako.

"Please do not go around trusting everything you see, we have no idea if he is an ally," Olga repeated causing Gudako to hang her head.

Mash patted her back while Cu smiled at the Director. "She is right the enemy of my enemy is not always my friend. Though our goals aligned enough that I will help."

Olga cleared her throat staring at the Celt with an untrusting look. "Roman, do you pick up anything nearby?"

The hologram of Roman appeared next to Olga. "No ma'am, but Mash you had me worried sick!"

Mash looked down sadly, with this time Gudako patting Mash's back. "Sorry doctor."

"Hey, you shouldn't be worried, she fought well, though her class confuses me as much as Archer's, plus she has an amazing body," Cu exclaimed, earning a disgusted look from everyone minus Ari and Gudako who weren't paying much attention

"You're a pervert are you," Ritsuka sighed.

"Glossing over that for now; Caster will you explain what happened to this Holy Grail War, now seeing how you are its sole survivor?" Olga asked.

Cu cleared his throat, "Well, if you meant I didn't lose, then that would be correct. Our Holy Grail War changed entirely along the way, for reasons I don't know myself. The city was soon engulfed in flames, the humans disappeared, but we Servants remained. Saber was the first to continue to fight, defeating Lancer, Archer, Rider, and Assassin. Something dragged them after their loss into a black orb. When I found them their bodies were covered from head to toe in black flames."

Ari perked her head up as she looked at Ghost, who returned the gaze. "Why am I getting a strange feeling of secondhand Deja Vu?"

"Well, that story is very similar to the Collapse," Ari stated looking down at her glaive: Vexcalibur.

"That is correct," Ghost sighed flying near the glaive. "Do you know where the light show came from?"

"My Noble Phantasm, it seems to be like a Super but for my chosen weapon or trait," Ari explained as that knowledge rammed into her head. "Wolf would've loved it, then E would scold him for acting far too childish."

Ghost chuckled a bit as its eye caught the glance of the group, especially Olga. The Celt looked at Ari with a raised eyebrow.

"You called me Wolf when you saw me, why is that lass, is that meant to be an insult," Cu asked catching the Guardian off guard.

Olga glared at her tapping her feet. "Well no more procrastinating on the subject, tell us who are you, and where you come from!"

Ari let out a single sigh turning toward them, briefly looking at Ghost.

"Let me start at the beginning," Ari spoke looking to the sky. "It started with a single trip to Mars, where they found it."

"So your story starts outside of the planet, how," Olga asked skeptical.

"Let Ari finish telling her story before we jump to conclusions," Ritsuka blured nervously.

Ari let out another sigh before continuing. "To be honest I don't know, though the more information I receive the more I think this is soon to be." Ari shook her head snapping herself out of a trance-like state. "Anyway, some called it a god, a Great Machine, a friend, or a coward, but we called it the Traveler. It rocketed humanity into a Golden Age. We colonized Venus and Mars, even Mercury became a Garden World. The average human lifespan tripled, and it was glorious, or so I heard."

Ghost fled in front of Ari and looked at the group. "You see something was after the Traveler, my creator, and it soon found us. Humanity then shattered like glass, leaving us in ruins."

Gudako had her mouth a gap with shock. "So humanity is gone where you guys came from?"

Ghost quickly shook his body, "No, they are fine mostly. But then humanity was chaotic as Warlords, and Guardians using their powers for personal gain, rose to power. Then the Last City was formed and the Vanguard was made to protect it from threats like Taniks."

Ari soon took control of the explanation. "Long after Ghost found me, we were running from Eliksni, which is what Taniks was. Wolf and E saved me and we became a Fireteam, though they are probably far from here." Ari finished looking at the stars longingly.

There was a long moment of silence before Ari spoke one last time to Cu Chulainn. "Wolf looked a lot like you, that's why I called you that."

Cu simply smiled leaning toward the Guardian. "Well, we probably had better luck than me if he was able to get you on his team." He turned to the group. "Now, we should head to the Greater Grail, Saber has taken post there, protected by her lap dog of an Archer."

"That may be the source of the singularity, where is the Grail?" Olga asked turning away from Ari.

"In the heart of Fuyuki, Mount Enzou" Cu answered.

The team nodded turning to walk off in the direction of a massive mountain in the distance, framed by flames rising from the rubble. Ritsuka, Mash, Gudako, Ari, and Ghost stood side by side as they walked off with Olga and Cu behind them.

Far off on the building tops, a figure in the same black flames as Lancer stood watching them. A robe seemingly flowed in the wind as it stared at them with its white eye.

A/N: That is Taniks' stat block, I don't fully understand how it is meant to work, so all suggestions are welcomed, dialogue will come with the more sane Servants.

In other means this Chapter is longer than usual, these style of chapters will come with important events, and the next one should be with Salter and the Taken vs. the team.

Hope you have a fantastic day.

Guest: Thank you for pointing out the mistake that Servants can't regrow limbs naturally, I always thought they could for some reason.
