Alison's POV
It was 6:30 pm on a Tuesday afternoon, me and Emily walked inside the field in Ravenswood, it was their home game, we had already played in Rosewood a couple weeks back. I was benched out because I twisted my ankle in one of the past games, and my coach didn't want to risk me missing the whole season, so she told me to rest for this game.
We were both wearing our blue jackets that had the "Rosewood sharks" logo in the back.
We stood on the side of the field, watching everybody warm up.
These past weeks we started hanging out a lot more just the two of us. Aria was usually with Ezra, Spencer with Toby, and Hanna with Caleb.
She has gone to all my games, and I have gone to all her swimming competitions. We would go to parties together and had sleepovers almost every weekend. We even kissed a couple times. I could tell she still had some feelings for me, but we never really talked about it, I feel we were both kind of just trying to let things happen.
"Hey" said a voice besides me "I'm Riley" a tall brunette extended her hand to greet me. I recognized her from the home game we had a couple weeks back. She was wearing her red Ravenswood jersey.
"Hi" I said "I'm Alison, this is my friend Emily"
She took a glance at Emily and looked back at me.
"You look great in that jacket" she said.
"Oh, thank you" I chuckled.
"You have a cute laugh" she smiled, and I blushed a little.
Is she…flirting with me? I thought.
"Are you not playing today?" she asked.
"No, I twisted my ankle last Tuesday" I said showing her the bandage around my ankle.
"That sucks! You're a really good player, I'm pretty sure we could've had fun on today's game" she smiled.
"Is that so?" I raised my eyebrow.
"We should hang out sometime" she started saying.
"We kicked your asses last game" interrupted Emily.
Riley glanced at Emily.
"I don't think I saw you play last game…" she took a step forward.
"I don't play, I come to see her" Emily cut her off, taking a quick glance at me and then back at her.
"I see" she said and looked back at me "we'll I hope we can play against each other again, if that's the only way I can get to see you"
"I'm pretty sure we'll play against each other later this season" I said breaking up the tension and grabbing Emily's arm to start walking "seems like the game is about to start"
"I'll catch you later then, it was nice seeing you again" she said before taking a step back, making me blush once again.
Me and Emily walked up the stairs to the benches were everybody else was sitting. People started cheering and making noise.
"Sharks! Sharks! Sharks!"
"Let's go Sharks!"
Emily took a seat next to me and we started enjoying the game. The score was still 0-0 but right before the first half ended, a bad play ended up in Ravenswood scoring the first goal of the night.
Riley looked up and made a heart with her hands, pointing it at me. I just smiled at her.
"You can go sit on the red side if you want," said Emily. I couldn't tell if she was joking.
"She's just being nice" I said and then I heard the first half whistle.
"She is totally flirting with you, Ali" she said "I'm going to get us something to drink" she walked up to the concession stand.
I saw Riley walking my way and I made my way to the front of the benches to lean against the rail separated the field with the crowd, I looked down to the track field where she was standing.
"I sent you a heart when I scored, did you see it?" she said looking up at me.
"I did" I said, with a small smile.
"I was going to send a kiss but maybe you can give it to me later instead" she smiled.
"I think your team is looking for you" said Emily walking behind me "here Ali, I got your favorite" she handed me a blue raspberry slushy and looked at Riley to make sure she was watching us.
Riley rolled her eyes and then waved her hand at me, letting me know she had to go back with her teammates.
"Thank you, Em" I said taking the cup from her hands "can we go to the bathroom before the game starts?" she nodded.
We walked down the stairs to walk across the field to get to the other side where the restrooms were located, as we passed the Ravenswood team that was warming up, I took a glance at Emily who didn't remove her eyes from Riley. I chuckled.
We entered the building and made our way to the bathrooms; I entered one of the stalls and I heard Emily washing her hands.
"What's your deal with Riley?" I said from inside the stall.
"What do you mean?" she asked from outside.
"Please Em, you clearly seem upset every time she comes near us" I said walking out the stall towards the sink.
"She just, annoys me, that's it" she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. I chuckled.
I washed my hands and stared at my reflection; I took at glance at Emily through the mirror. She was staring at me, her eyes went down my legs, up my ass and then up to meet my blue eyes. She looked away quickly.
"I don't believe you" I said fixing my hair. I wanted to tease her a little "you don't even know her"
"And you do? Please Alison, she's so annoying, all cocky, thinking she's all that coming up to you" she threw her hands in the air "And then the way she looks at you, I just really want to punch her in the face"
"Em?" I looked at her reflection "are you jealous?" I turned around.
"Pfff, me? Jealous?" she chuckled "of her!? Come on, Ali, she got nothing on me" she said crossing her arms once again.
"You're right, Em. She has nothing on you" I said, giving her a smirk "now stop being so dramatic, let's go"
"Damn right she got nothing on me" she whispered under her breath as we walked out the bathroom when we heard the whistle indicating the 2nd half was about to start.
We walked around the field and up the stairs back to our seats. I saw Riley in the middle of the field looking at me, I gave her a little smile. The game started and Rosewood turned the score around, ending the game with a score of 4-1. When the game finished both teams walked inside the locker rooms to get changed and me and Emily started walking out to the parking lot.
"Wait" I told Emily as we reached her car "let just wait a couple minutes"
She looked at me confused and then leaned against the side of her car. After a waiting a few minutes I saw Riley walking to the parking lot with another one of her teammates, she seemed like she was looking for someone. I walked to where Emily's was leaning against the car and wrapped my arms around her neck, making her look at me confused one more time. As Riley came near us, I connected my lips with Emily's giving her a long kiss.
She placed her hands on my waist and pulled me closer, one of my hands went to her cheek and the other one to the back of her head, kissing her even more. We broke the kiss a few seconds later and we both looked at Riley who stood there silent and then proceeded to walk away, shaking her head.
I looked back at Emily and smirked.
"We can go now" I said as I walked around the car, opening the passenger door and hoping in.
She got in the driver's seat and looked at me once she closed the door behind her.
"What was that?" she asked, a cocky smile on her face. I grabbed her face and gave her a small peck on the lips.
"I can stop doing it if you want?" I teased, she shook her head "why don't you get me out this parking lot and show me why nobody else stands a chance against Emily Fields?" I looked seductively into her eyes. She smirked and then turned the engine on, driving off.
