AN: New chapter.
'So…these are the guys after me?' Naruto had been 'lucky' enough to have a jumble of thoughts tumbling through his head since Kakashi's warning to him about these four. Judging by the demented smile that crossed the woman's face, the masked Shinobi had been right.
They were after the Tailed Beast inside of him.
"You should know your life won't be sacrificed without good cause Naruto Uzumaki! We-"
'This is all about the Nine-Tails I've got sealed up in my gut. It feels like every big thing in my life is, this fuzzball comes around and ruins it.' Naruto focused on the battle at hand, would make use of what he was going to call his Wind Fist Style to take her down and then back up Sakura.
"-and once Seimei's powerful Ninja Tools once more fill the hands of Shinobi in battlefields around the world, Takumi Village will at last stand above all at its rightful place!"
"I don't know what you're talking about or who this Sea-guy is but I'm taking you down and taking those swords you stole back to where they belong!" Naruto paused for a moment. He thought things over. Would Takumi Village really miss the swords? He didn't think so. "Actually! Change that! Once I beat you, I'm giving those swords to Sakura! I owe her so make this easy on yourself and hand them over!"
"What?" His words seemed to catch her off guard, actually stopping whatever she was saying about reviving Whatshisname and bringing Whatever to Takumi Village. "Y-You can't steal my swords!" She slashed them through the air, sharp winds tearing at the trees beneath her. "They're mine!"
"Not if I beat you up and take them!"
"That's called stealing!"
"Like you did?"
"That is not the same thing! I'm honoring my village's legacy! You just want to take other people's stuff!"
"You did the same thing! It's not stealing if I'm stealing from a stealer!"
"Ugh! I'll kill you!"
A veritable tornado of wind blades came tearing towards Naruto and his treetop. The Uzumaki didn't back down, wouldn't. He stared down the tornado as he brought his fist to his side, allowed Wind Chakra to consume his fist and throw his clothes around in a sudden gale.
"Let's see how my Wind Fist Style matches up to your swords!" With a shout, he threw his fist forward, released a near perfect surge of Chakra to launch the mass of Wind Chakra along the path of his fist. It erupted into a massive gale, lacked the cutting power of Kujaku's own attack but the sheer force and focus of the wind let it bring a halt to the twister.
The two attacks were locked in a clash for only a few moments, one proving itself stronger than the other.
"What kind of attack was that?" Kujaku braced herself moments before her attack ruptured, released a pressure wave that would've thrown both away if they hadn't been ready for it. When the twister collapsed in on itself and the gale it faced punched inside of it, both Naruto and Kujaku took to the air with mighty leaps. Kujaku further augmented her leap with both of her swords, jets of wind powering her higher into the air.
"It's a Naruto Uzumaki original!" Naruto shouted his answer up at her as he began to lose the momentum from his leap, began to fall back to the falling trees below. His leap had still helped him escape being buried beneath the tumbling treetops. "You better get used to the name because you're looking at the next Hokage of the Hidden Leaf!" He jabbed a thumb into his chest as he made his proclamation, landed on a fallen tree trunk.
Kujaku attacked him with a series of wind blades, each one being countered by the same gale force strikes Naruto could unleash with each of his skyward punches. As fast as she could swing her sword, Naruto could deliver a Wind Chakra infused blow to either cancel them out or, as was becoming more common, outright tear through them.
"Those attacks must take plenty of Chakra out of you!" Kujaku still had time to mock him, use the constant wind from her swords to reposition herself to avoid a barrage of what she could only describe as Wind Fists from the blonde Jinchuriki beneath her. "I wonder when you'll use the Chakra of the Nine-Tails!"
"I'm not even warmed up yet lady!" Naruto wasn't lying. With his massive Chakra reserves, he could be at this all day. Despite the heavy amount of Chakra he threw into each attack, he wasn't in any danger of running out. He was her opponent for a reason after all. "Hit me with something stronger and I may break a sweat!"
"Tch. You Hidden Leaf Ninja are always so arrogant." She seemed to forget her talk from earlier about making Takumi Village the top of the world. Or was set to ignore the hypocrisy of calling the Genin fighting her arrogant. She tightened her hold on both of her swords, two pieces of Seimei's collection of masterpieces. The twister keeping her suspended faded for a moment before she slashed her swords through the air once more, new wind keeping her aloft. "You should do us all a favor and just surrender! Give us your Chakra and we may even be in a good enough mood to spare one of your friends!"
"My friends are strong enough to beat those other two guys! And Sai-sensei is stronger than that guy he's fighting! You just worry about fighting me!" Naruto focused even as he shouted back up at Kujaku. 'I can't let her stay up there.' He once more gathered Wind Chakra but this time it was to both hands, had a plan. Instead of punching up towards Kujaku, he punched towards the ground.
He shot off into the air like a rocket, surprised Kujaku with how quickly he ascended into the air and reached her. He was already ready, Chakra gathering around his already in motion fist.
Kujaku wasn't slow, was quick enough to bring at least one of her swords up to guard her from the punishing blow.
It didn't stop it or the typhoon like wave it unleashed but she could block it.
Naruto, unfortunately, only had one attack in him while he was in the air. He was already falling back towards the ground, landed on a fallen tree once again. Kujaku nearly crashed into the forest itself from the attack but she managed to recover in time. She swung with both swords, chopped down the tree she would've hit. With another paired swing, her uncontrolled flight was brought to a halt and she could take the high ground once again.
Although, she was much more cautious this time.
Naruto had proven he could reach her if he needed to and, if she let him have another chance, there was no telling what he could unleash and if she could stop it.
'He's matching me with just his strange Ninjutsu. There's no telling if he's just limited to punching.' Kujaku's eyes narrowed as she stared down at the Uzumaki, at the clear fact he wasn't exhausted. He hadn't been lying when he said he was considering this a warm up. 'Just how much Chakra can one boy even have? Even if he's the Jinchuriki, there has to be a limit!'
'She may be catching on.' Naruto didn't like the look on her face. He had more tricks in the bag but he didn't want to use them if he didn't have to, most of them not as well-practiced as he would like. His Wind Fist Style was still very much in the initial stages, something he was still working on.
It was far from battle-tested. He hadn't even gotten the chance to get Hinata's or Guy-sensei's thoughts on what he had managed so far.
'She's going to do something crazy.' Naruto was right.
Their battle wasn't going in her favor and Kujaku knew it, made a decision to try and change that when she brought her swords together and lifted them overhead. Naruto spotted the attack coming from the moment she telegraphed it, gathered a massive amount of Wind Chakra to both hands to prepare his own counter.
'Remember to keep them just like Hinata taught me.' If anyone from the Hidden Leaf could see Naruto now, had more than a passing knowledge with both the Gentle Fist and Strong Fist styles of Taijutsu, they would see a hybridized stance. The hand work and vast amount of the upper body positioning was the Gentle Fist but his base remained Strong Fist.
"I can't kill you but you'll be surprised at what you can live through you brat!" Above her head, Kujaku's weapons let out a screaming pillar of wind skyward. "Even if you die, I'm sure we can use your body for something useful!" There was a manic look in her eyes as she shouted down at him.
She swung down with all her might and, in place of a tornado, a massive blade of Wind Chakra cut through the air and lacerated the forest.
'Visualize the area of attack. Visualize your strikes.' Naruto focused, clearly decided to meet the attack head on. 'And stand your ground!'
He didn't notice that his eyes had turned red, that there was a surge of Chakra to his palms.
'Here goes everything.'
"Twin Hurricane Palm!" With a shout, he unleashed an absolutely massive blast of Wind Chakra, struck the blade of wind trying to cut him in half.
"You can't match me kid!" Kujaku was lying to herself, her scream of outrage being drowned out by the roar of the wind a moment later.
Naruto's attack won, blew the rogue Kunoichi out of the air and sent her slamming into the forest down below.
His battle wasn't over but it was definitely in his favor now.
