"I didn't know you had taken up gardening." a voice said a second after I heard the front door open. I had been expecting Phil, and I chuckled that he would say that instead of hi when he first walked into the loft.

"I didn't." I said as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Right... what did you turn into a Disney princess and all the plants come to you while singing?" he asked me sarcastically.

"Daniel sent me a thank you bouquet, but Michael sent the rest." I said as he looked over them. Michael had been sending me flowers and plants a lot in the past month. I really had no clue why, and while I liked them, I was tired of them.

"He told me that Michael seemed jealous of you and his friendship when I saw him a few days ago." he said and I knew that he was referring to Daniel, because while Phil didn't mind Michael I wouldn't see the day where they willingly hung out.

"Yeah, I got that feeling." I said and Phil chuckled as I shook my head.

We sat and talked about life, AJ, and a few other things. Phil had come in town to talk to Talent Relations... so, basically me, about what was going on backstage. I knew that he wasn't happy, and I had heard the rumors. I had already met Kenny and the Bucks and it was no secret they ran most of the company. I also knew my brother, so I knew that this might go one of two ways.

I walked into work the next day, and was exhausted. Phil wanted to watch horror movies, and I can't say no to that since no one else will watch them with me. Phil had brought me to work, and was heading to the beach to work out. I sat down at my desk and realized I had forgotten my coffee in his car. I was about to go get some from the cafe when a cup appeared in front of me. I looked up to see Tony smiling at me. We had started a routine of seeing who got there first, and then have a few minutes to have coffee together.

"Thank you, I forgot mine this morning. Phil is in town and we had a horror movie marathon." I said and he chuckled.

We sat and talked about a few different things. Tony was happy with how the Jaguars game went in London, but wasn't happy about the dwindling number in AEW. We had been discussing this one a lot more. We talked about family, and other things before his phone started buzzing from people needing him. I wasn't sure why, but I had come to think of Tony as a friend. I had never seen myself being friends with Paul, from WWE, but Tony was different. He finally went to his office, and I got my day started. I met with a few different superstars, when Phil came walking in around noon.

"Nice of you to keep your meeting time." I said and he smirked as I saw his bag with him.

"I saw your calendar... you are free." he said and if it had been anyone but my brother I probably would have a comeback, but instead I just rolled my eyes.

"Talk." I said as he sat down and he chuckled.

"You know as well as I do that I am the odd man out." he said and I knew that he was right. The Bucks and Kenny ran everything behind the scenes... but, Phil had been in the business and knew how it was supposed to go. They hated that he would make suggestions, have comments, or just tell them no. I had to admire him for it, because he had been doing it for so long.

"Fine, is there anything I can do to help you make it in the company?" I asked him and he smirked. I felt like this was roles reversed since he was asking me the same thing when we both worked for the WWE.

"You know as well as I do it doesn't matter." he said and I smirked. I had talked to them, and I had an idea of how they would be.

"I will call a meeting for everyone." I said and he nodded.

"If you think that's best." he said and I chuckled.

"I think it will be the easiest way to gauge exactly how much they hate you." I said and he laughed.

We talked a little longer before he had to catch a flight. I hugged him and told him I would come to LA in a few weeks to see him and AJ. They still had their place in Chicago, but were exploring other options. I couldn't say I blame them... I had been glad to get the fuck out of Chicago. He left and I was finishing up my stuff when I realized I was going to have to Uber home. I checked the prices and they weren't high yet, so I knew that I was going to leave soon. I walked to Tony's office and knocked.

"Come in." he said and I poked my head in the doorway. He motioned for me to come in, and I saw Daniel and David sitting there. I knew they were meeting with Tony this week about the ROH stuff. I didn't know it was going to be today. They both hugged me before sitting back down.

"I am about to head out. The Uber rides aren't too expensive yet." I said and Tony nodded.

"I can take you home." Daniel said and I shrugged.

"I was going to stop by anyways." he said and I nodded.

"Fine, I will be in my office. Nice to see you, David. See you tomorrow, Tony." I said and they all said bye. I walked back to my office and worked on a meeting for my brother with Kenny and the Bucks. I sent out the invitations as Michael started to text me. He was in Ohio and was going by his old training school this week to guest spot for new wrestlers and help them out. He was having fun, and invited me to Ohio this weekend. I hadn't been to his house so I accepted. I would fly out Friday night and come back on Sunday night.

"You ready?" a voice said and pulled me from the thoughts about my trip. I saw Daniel looking at me, and I nodded. I grabbed my bag, and we headed to his car. He opened the door for me, and then got in. Daniel had become my best friend over night, and I was glad for it. He was easy to talk to about stuff, and was always up for some fun.

"Hungry?" he asked me and I realized that I was because I had skipped lunch.

"Yeah, Phil was my lunch meeting." I said and he shook his head.

"I know just the spot... we can drop the truck off and walk." he said and I nodded. I was fine with that since it meant I actually got exercise. I changed into some jeans and a t-shirt, and took Daniel's arm as we walked towards the beach. I followed him to Poe's Tavern. He knew that I loved Edgar Allan Poe. I had been here once and always wanted to come back.

"Thank you." I said and he smiled at me as we walked up and got a table on the patio. The fall weather was coming and it felt great outside. We had a few drinks, ate burgers, and finally headed back to my place. I already knew that he was going to spend the night. I didn't even have to ask anymore.

We walked outside with some beers and sat on the loungers. I was laid back and enjoying the weather. I had my eyes closed when I heard him move.

"Rae." he said and I got ready to open my eyes when I felt his lips press to mine. I was shocked, but I felt oddly ok with it. He pressed a little harder as I ran my hand through the back of his hair. I felt his hand on my hip as he pulled me closer to him. He finally pulled away and I sucked my bottom lip into my teeth. He was wathing my reaction.

"I always wanted to do that." he said and I nodded. I would have been lying if I hadn't of wanted to kiss him before now.

"Now what?" I finally asked me as he sat back on his seat and let out a sigh. He looked at me and gave me a silly grin. I rolled my eyes and he pulled me to him.

"I plan on kissing you again." he said as he pressed his lips to mine again. I knew that this man was going to get me in trouble.
