As Light drifted away, Rem fixed her gaze on Misa, showing a rare concern. The usual indifference in her eyes was replaced by a flicker of anxiety.
"Misa," she began, her voice soft yet determined, "You need to be cautious. The Light you once knew and the entity he has become are not one and the same. He's now more powerful, enigmatic, and possibly more unpredictable."
With unwavering reverence in her eyes, Misa replies, "I know, Rem. But he is still Light to me. No matter his transformation, I will always stand by him."
Rem sighed, "You remember his actions in the past, right? How he manipulated you for his own ends?"
Misa was quick to respond, her eyes shimmering with devotion, "I would do it all over again, Rem. I'd sacrifice my life for him. He's my deity."
Rem drew closer, placing her cold, gentle hand on Misa's shoulder. "Misa, I only wish to protect you. I fear that this intense feeling might lead you down treacherous paths."
Misa gave her a tender smile, "I care not for my fate, as long as I'm by his side. Light always was, and will be, my one true love!"
Recognizing the unwavering determination in Misa's stance, Rem simply requested, "Then promise me you'll do your best to stay safe."
Misa nodded, "I promise, Rem. But wherever Light goes, I will follow."
Rem closed her eyes momentarily, wishing she could do more to shield the young human who had become so dear to her. Yet, she understood Misa would always follow her heart, regardless of the consequences. Having heard the entire narrative about Misa's future with Light, Rem was well-aware that placing total trust in Light would be unwise, even if Misa chose to ignore her advice.
Thus, all Rem could do was stand by Misa, guarding her with all her might. However, a doubt plagued her. Did she have the capability for it? The Light she had witnessed seemed on par with Hades. If he already possesses such magnitude in his youth, what awaits him in the future? What kind of entity is this being that Misa so adores?
While Light was nearby, she dared not utter a word, fearing he might turn against her. She felt any misstep could cost her existence. It wasn't the fear of death that troubled her, but the thought of leaving Misa defenseless.
What unsettled her most was that this young man noticed her but chose to entirely disregard her presence. It was as if she was irrelevant there, making Rem feel uneasy in front of a 'human' for the first time.

Invisible, Light, who was flying in the air, retrieved the Death Note once again from the [Inner World].
A pen materialized in his hand, and he opened the notebook. Light applied the multiplier to the notebook 8 times.
"Mihael Keehl," Light wrote, picturing his face. He then wrote the cause of death, "Tortured to death."
He also added details: "Nate River 'finds out' that Mihael Keehl was plotting against L and tortures him trying to uncover his plans, but grows angrier at Mihael Keehl's 'lies' that he did nothing of the sort and continues torturing him to death."
Concluding, Light closed the Death Note.
A dark aura emanated from the Death Note the moment he did this.
"'Will this work?' Otherwise, he'd intervene personally. Though, he'd prefer to spare himself the effort of traveling to England.
The book was returned to the [Inner World].
Light increased his flying speed.
Upon returning, Light found Rias and the others utterly stunned, their eyes fixed on him.
Except for Kiba, all had previously heard Light's inner voice and knew that he had evolved from being merely a Reincarnated Devil to something far more grand. However, no one expected this also to imply a transformation in his aesthetics.
"Ara, Light-san." Akeno's seductive voice cut through the silence, carrying that particular tone that made anyone who heard it feel enveloped in warmth. "What happened to you? Why does your appearance look so different?"
"About that," Light replied with a gentle smile, "During my training, I had an insight and was able to enhance the 'Light Ferry', which has now integrated with me, as if it were part of my essence."
"So, you decided to train outside, nyah?" Kuroka's drowsy yet seductive voice filled the room. "But why? Couldn't you have simply used the special training card right here, nyah?"
Indeed, it was a valid question.
Naturally, Light had anticipated this.
"Yes, however," Light began, a confident smile emerging on his serene face, "At first, I didn't plan to use the special training room. However, as I was dedicated to another task, a sudden inspiration arose on how to improve the 'Light Ferry'."
His answer left no room for contest. Everyone acknowledged that inspiration can occur unexpectedly. It was evident to them that Light was being sincere, with no hint of deceit in his words.
Indeed, he wasn't being entirely dishonest. The points he accumulated thanks to Misa encouraged him to want to improve the Sacred Gear, integrating two powers into one. Moreover, possessing the necessary points, he longed to enhance his very essence, becoming more than just a mere Devil.
Although he had the option in the future to renounce the title of Reincarnated Devil and rise as a High-Level Devil, it would merely place him in the category of just another among many. Somehow, this idea was not entirely appealing to him. Therefore, given the chance to evolve, he didn't think twice.
As for the details, Light preferred to keep them secret, and it would be imprudent for them to inquire. It was too personal a matter to address unless he voluntarily shared it. Rias, on the other hand, was concerned; if she posed an out-of-place question and ended up offending Light, he might decide to return the Devil Pieces that enabled his transformation into a Reincarnated Devil.
She had already accessed Light's deepest thoughts and was aware that although he still had the Devil Pieces in him, they seemed to have lost their function. He could, if he wished, remove these pieces. Thus, she hesitated to ask anything that might destabilize the delicate balance between them, akin to a fragile crystal.
Despite Light's evident interest, driven by memories of an anime he watched in his previous life, there was the risk of disillusionment. He might eventually lose interest in her and her group. Rias, as a lover of anime and manga, understood this fascination. She too would be intrigued to find out that an anime character was real.
However, such fascinations can be fleeting. Only genuine and profound feelings could solidify the current relationship, as fragile as a pane of glass, making it as resilient as bulletproof glass.
"You look great, Light-san." Kiba, oblivious to Rias's thoughts and the rest, said with a smile.
"Thank you." Light replied in a neutral tone.
Himari spoke in a soft and gentle voice, reminiscent of the tenderness of a newlywed wife. Her insinuating eyes overflowed with desire. "Young master, you look even more charming~," she said, slowly licking her lips.
An erotic tension began to form between the two, but was abruptly interrupted by Lala.
"It's true, Light!" With her vibrant and enthusiastic voice, Lala exclaimed, her eyes sparkling: "You look even cooler~!"
With an affectionate gesture, Light ran his hands over the heads of both, even causing white feline ears to appear on Himari's head. Smiling faintly, he remarked, "I'm glad you both like it." He continued, "Have fun in my absence; I'll take a quick shower and be right back."

It was a peaceful night, with the characteristic post-dinner atmosphere. The sky was clear, dotted with stars, and the nocturnal sounds brought serenity.
"Rias," Light began, "I'm going to train for a year in the special training room. Would you like to join me?"
The proposal took Rias by surprise. Even so, she pondered for a moment before nodding. She was curious about the way he trained and felt that if she didn't push herself, Akeno, her Queen, might surpass her. Her pride wouldn't allow such a situation. Thus, even if training wasn't her favorite activity, she accepted the invitation.
"It will be a pleasure, Light," she affirmed.
"Young master, allow me to train with you," said Himari, with a pouty expression and a pout on her lips. "I can't bear the thought of being left out..."
Light approached Himari, and wrapping her in his arms, whispered in her ear, "Don't feel that way; I'm not intentionally excluding you. I plan to train with you tomorrow. Every day I will spend a year in the special room and take someone with me. If you wish, tomorrow will be your turn. So, be a good kitty and wait your turn, okay?"
Being treated so closely amidst many onlookers, Himari blushed slightly, yet she let out a sweet 'nyah,' which seemed to have the taste of pure honey.
The sweetness of the scene between them was so intense that it seemed to have elevated the sugar level in the room, reaching the point of forming a strawberry-scented aura around the two.
"Are they always like this?" Megumi murmured.
Hearing the question, Lala turned her gaze to Megumi. Even surprised to notice her presence there, Lala answered with her characteristic simplicity, brightly smiling, "Yes, Light and Himari adore each other~"
"And that doesn't bother you?" Megumi inquired, knowing of Lala's commitment to Light. It seemed odd to her that Lala was so calm watching her fiancé show so much affection for another woman right in front of her.
"Not at all. If everyone is happy, so am I," Lala replied, smiling. "I like Light, and I also like Himari. We're all good and happy together!"
Megumi remained silent. It was hard for her to understand the way an alien thought. And, being a princess, shouldn't Lala be more... hm, territorial about her fiancé? 'So, for Lala, it's not a problem for Light to have other women in his life...'
Choosing a single armchair to sit in, Megumi leaned back, slowly moving her head from side to side. She seemed immersed in thought.
At one point, Light and Rias activated the card that granted access to the special training room.
The estimated time would be equivalent to a year. Considering the energy expended by two people, the effective duration would likely be about six months, varying according to the activities they performed in that special room.
