Izuku POV:
I frowned at my phone as I left Kiri's house. Katsuki had messaged me asking to explain, and I said he could. Yet, I don't know if I can trust him completely. Regardless of what Uraraka said, Katsuki still allowed himself to be put into the position and I still feel betrayed.
When I made it to the café we used to go to together, I sat down at a booth in the back. Usually, we go towards the front, but this meeting is more serious. So, I don't want to be in view of any of the late-night walkers. I ordered a chai latte while I waited, and not even a minute later, Katsuki showed up in a cold sweat.
'Did he run here?'
Relief showed on his face as he made his way over to me and sat down.
"Izuku." I put my hand up to stop him before he could start explaining. One thing needed to be made clear before we had this conversation.
"Let me make one thing clear Katsuki. No matter what you say to me tonight, we are never going to get back together. I don't care if this was all a big misunderstanding or if it actually was your true actions. There will be constant doubt living in my head because I won't actually know if this will happen again. However, I do know that I will be able to get over the situation and we can be friends again. That is if you can prove to me that you didn't cheat, and it wasn't some dumb bet or dare. My trust for Uraraka may be very small, but there could still be some truth to her words."
I didn't want to be so strict with Katsuki, but I knew it was the only way I would be able to potentially trust him.
No One POV:
After Katsuki fully processed Izuku's words, he silently sighed. Of course, the greenette wouldn't want to start up their relationship again. It made sense. No matter what actually happened in a situation, once trust is lost, it is almost impossible to ever get back. He had already gotten it back once; it was probably just wishful thinking to hope that he could get it back again. Regardless of the fact that he didn't do anything of his own volition.
"I understand completely Izuku. You have every right to never trust me again. I don't expect anything out of this conversation. Hell, I'm pretty sure that I can even get the video footage of the interaction I had with Round Cheeks." Katsuki went on to explain what really happened. He went into detail and forwent his pride when mentioning that he was caught off guard, threatened, and thrown against a wall. The blonde made sure not to leave anything out whatsoever. It was crucial for him to give it all away.
"… And then you walked in on what was happening. Round Cheeks used it to her advantage. She used both of us so she could continue with her plans. I don't know what sort of power she holds, but it apparently is enough to have two massive men at her side to do her bidding. This is all the honest truth."
Izuku sat in silence as Katsuki finally finished speaking. There was so much to take in and he didn't think there was any way any of it could be a lie. Katsuki had never been this forward or blunt with his experiences. His ex- boyfriend ignored the pride they both knew he had. He risked his heart just so Izuku would truly believe and understand him. He was willing to back up his story with footage they no doubt could get from Nedzu.
"If you can get the footage from the principal and bring it to me on Monday at five pm. Then I will believe every word you just said. We won't ever date again, but I also never wanted you out of my life in the first place. I'll also have a talk with your squad and get them on the same page. If you're telling the truth, then we have bigger problems that losing your friends."
Katsuki smiled in relief and was quick to thank his companion. "I will do everything in my power to get the footage. I don't care if we never date again, but I do care if you're in my life. You're my best friend Izuku. "
Izuku Pov:
I tried to hide my smile as I watched and analyzed the uncharacteristic actions and words of Kaachan. He really does seem like he meant everything. There's no way he would just lie about letting himself get thrown against a wall or being cornered. Kaachan was too prideful for that.
The only problem we have to face now, is the one involving Uraraka. If she really is doing this kind of stuff, then we have to talk to the pro heroes. There is no way we'll be able to solve all of this on our own. I'll have to tell Kiri and Kami as well.
"I'm going to get going now. This was a very enlightening meeting, and I look forward to the videotape on Monday. See ya Kaachan."
I leave some cash next to my still full latte and leave.
When I got back to Kiri's house, I went straight to his room and got back into bed. Every move I made was quiet and precise. I didn't want them to wake up.
A grumble and the feel of hands wrapping around my waste caused me to look up at the sleepy smile of Kiri.
"Where you been? I heard you leave earlier." His Japanese came out in a small mess.
"I just went to complete some business. We can talk about it tomorrow." I stroke his hair gently. "Just go back to sleep for now Kiri."
He nodded and went back to sleep. The grip on my waste never moving.
No One Pov:
Izuku awoke to the smell of pancakes right under his nose. He opening his eyes and blinked up at the image of Kirishima with a plate of them.
"Good Morning Izu! I hope you slept well! Mom made pancakes for everyone. The others are downstairs eating, but I figured you wanted to eat up here."
A yawn formed inside of Izuku's mouth as he got up. "It's fine. I want to see everyone. There's something I found out that needs to be known."
Kirishima looked at his friend seriously. "Does it have to do with why you left so early this morning and came back and hour later?"
The red head was met by a nod of affirmation.
"Yes, it does. It was an enlightening morning. Though I won't get any evidence until Monday. I might have to cancel staying over for the whole weekend too. There is something I have to research, and I have to go meet with Aizawa-Sensei. He might be able to help me."
A look of understanding disappointment came across Kirishima's face. "I understand. Can we schedule a sleepover at the dorms then? Since we'll already be at school, it's not like we will be late."
Izuku nodded. "Of course. Now how about we chow down on the pancakes your mom made?"
Thank you for reading! I am so happy to finally have this chapter out after so long. Hopefully the next update will be soon, but I have other stories, so it may take a couple of weeks. Until next time!
