Hey everyone!
So, this was meant to go up around the time of my birthday but, in typical LSH fashion, things didn't work out and I was occupied for most of my birthday and then I headed down to my dad's house for the week. I may well be writing fic for NaNoWriMo next month to help keep up the momentum with writing as Cosy Season starts. It's my favourite time of the year.
Hope you're all doing well.
Lots of love,
LSH xx
Sisters Divided – Part 12:
Nurmengard Castle:
Grindelwald had been speaking to Rosier about the election and how she would be in charge of Flora until he asked for her before he headed to her room. He needed to see her. He could see the Necromancy in the pool had shaken her and he needed to make sure that she wasn't too badly shaken up. He also wanted to know if she'd ever seen anything like it before.
He walked into her room, stopping just inside the doorway, and watched her reading her book, a pile from the Castle library sat on the table in her room. He smiled softly as he carried on watching Flora reading before she looked up and her eyes met his causing him to freeze as he hadn't expected her to spot him.
"Flora..." Grindelwald spoke softly as he looked at her before making his way into her room and sat down opposite her, "I wanted to come and make sure you were fine. The Necromancy appeared to startle you and I needed to come and see you."
"I've never seen it before," Flora spoke as she put her book down but missed the table as she was still watching Grindelwald. He closed the space between them and picked up the book before moving to the window seat he'd had created for her after learning she loved them. "It's something I've heard of though."
"I could tell that you hadn't but you know of it despite not having seen it," Grindelwald said as he watched her sit opposite him and he rested a hand on her leg, "the reason I have done it will become clear in the future but I cannot say for now," he said as he looked at her.
"I wasn't going to ask you about it. I have learnt you have a reason for your actions and that it's better not to question them," Flora replied as she looked at Grindelwald before looking out over the mountains, snow seeming to fall once more. She couldn't be sure if it was Grindelwald's influence on the weather or natural. Weather seemed to change in a minute for her, as well as her emotions, especially around Grindelwald himself.
"I see Rosier has been teaching you a few things as well," Grindelwald spoke as he looked out of the window as well, "I expected nothing less from her. She has been good taking you on as her apprentice in a way."
"Am I trapped here now?" Flora asked, "is this to become my home forevermore?" she asked, needing to know the answer to the question so she could prepare for it.
"That is one question I do not have the answer to Flora. It depends on various things that will decide out fate and the election is one of them. I will say that you are free to go and see your sisters but someone, probably Rosier, will go with you. You are free to come and go as you please if somebody goes with you Flora. That is how much you're trapped here. A lot less than most," Grindelwald said as he moved closer to her and cupped her face gently, "I wouldn't dream of denying you things and freedom. I trust you now."
"Why let me have more freedom than others? What's so special about me?" Flora asked as she tried to ignore the feelings that were rising in her as she felt his hand on her face. "I still don't understand any of this."
"I have already told you. You and I are going to change the world and the election tomorrow will be the start. We're the perfect team, we balance each other," Grindelwald said as he moved her face to look at him, "I know you're struggling to see it but it will happen and the world will be put to rights with us together," he said.
Flora fought against her feelings and looked away from the Wizard and she looked down at his hand that had now moved to her thigh. She sighed before she looked up at him again.
"You said you're drawn to me like a moth to a flame… I feel the same way about you Gellert. I shouldn't and it's wrong but I really cannot help this," she said as she looked at him and he shook his head.
"This is one of the forces that we are battling against," he said softly, "you're the light to my dark, you're the good to my evil. Flora there are things that you do not know yet because I don't understand them myself and I wish I could answer the millions of questions swirling around your head but I simply can't because I don't have those answers to give you. All I can say is that you are meant to be here with me and work some kind of magic here with me."
Flora had been listening to his words that she hadn't realised that he had pulled her even closer to him.
"I wish I knew my purpose in life," Flora whispered as she looked at him, "I've been lost my whole life and I still don't know it."
Grindelwald watched her. He wished that he could see a way to make her believe in herself more and find her place in the world. He was hoping to give it to her as well. Their destiny was laid before them and Flora couldn't know that. She had to be unaware of what she was doing. He wrapped his arm around her and stroked her cheek softly.
"Your place for now is here," he said finally as he had decided that enough silence had passed, "I know you are struggling to believe that but, once the election is over you can go and see your sisters and let them know you are perfectly fine," he said and Flora nodded as he looked into her eyes.
Flora made the mistake of looking right back into his, unable to look away as the feelings she was having were beginning to overwhelm her. She moved a shaky hand up to cup his face and she gasped slightly at feeling his face under her hand.
"You can fully feel it now can't you?" Grindelwald whispered and Flora could only nod in response as her breath got caught in her throat. "I had a feeling you could and you've been battling it the whole time we have been together tonight."
Grindelwald's face had been inching closer to hers and she could, once again, feel his shaky breath on her face. She was afraid of everything she was feeling and, having never felt this way before, it was hard for her to understand it all. All she knew was Grindelwald had awoken feelings in her that she didn't know she had and that was something she would have to process. Her breath shook as she felt his breath on her face and she didn't know whether to fight it all or give into it all.
Before she could even process what was happening she felt a kiss to her forehead. Grindelwald always did this when he was about to leave her.
"Don't go…" she managed to whisper as she grabbed his hand. Grindelwald didn't move. There was something in the way she'd said those words that made him pull her so she was straddling his lap.
"You're alright Flora," he said softly as he heard her gasp. He stroked some hair back from her face, "I won't do anything else until you say," he said and Flora could feel his heart beating just as far as hers was.
"Thank you," she whispered as she looked into his eyes and pushed some of the hair back from his face and her breath caught in her throat again.
It seemed to happen at the same time and before either of them really knew it was happening. Their lips met and it set off something that had been pent up inside the two. The magic rippled through the Castle and Vinda knew exactly what it was being the only one who knew about the connection and tensions that had been rising between the two.
The kiss started off slow, neither sure how much to deepen the kiss or when to deepen it and but then Flora made the first move and her hands moved to rest on Grindelwald's chest and he wrapped his arms tighter around her, needing her as close to him as possible. Flora couldn't and wouldn't understand this moment for a while yet, but she knew in that moment that she just wanted to be with him… not be with him as such but break the tension that had been there since the spark between them had started.
Grindelwald moved a hand to snake through Flora's hair as he kissed her more. Neither of them came up for breath for a while before Flora pulled back, gasping for air.
"Are you OK?" Grindelwald asked as he stroked Flora's cheek and she nodded softly before undoing the buttons on his shirt,
"No touching mine," she said before pushing his shirt off and gasping as she saw his upper body exposed.
"Is this the first time…?" he asked as Flora looked down again with a nod.
He smiled softly at her before he captured her lips in a heated kiss. This time Flora allowed herself to get lost in the kiss and allowed him to lay her down. However he respected her wishes and let his hands roam her body as her hands roamed his and the magic swirled around them as it combined, sending waves around the Castle and he kissed her. Flora had never known anything like it and she couldn't stop kissing him.
Grindelwald had been surprised at the feelings that had risen inside of him the moment their lips had connected. It felt different to when he'd been with Dumbledore and that was something he didn't want to think about. Albus had been his destiny in the past but Flora was his destiny and the future. He held her against him, kissing her with such a passion that he couldn't understand.
Eventually Grindelwald wrapped her around him as they moved to her bed, keeping his lips attached to hers as they kissed. They were far more comfortable on the bed. They didn't stop kissing until Flora fell asleep with her head and a hand resting on his chest and their legs tangled together with his arms around her, holding her close.
