Blithe Hallow has descended into absolute chaos ever since yesterday, when the zombies came to town. No one could believe that there were actual zombies walking amongst them, especially since the town's folk quickly deduced that they were here because of the witch's curse. Yet, it was strange though since the curse was allegedly supposed to happen on the anniversary of her death, not a couple days before it.

But despite the unexpected zombie invasion, they weren't going to just run around like the usual scared citizens in the movies. No, if the zombies were going to come into their town to eat them, then they better prepare themselves for a fight as the town's folk grabbed hold of whatever they could think would be a good weapon for the undead and relentlessly attack them.

They fought the zombies for hours, giving them everything they had, until finally the zombies manage to escape the mob and retreated further into town. The townspeople didn't intend to let them get away so easily, though; they would pursue the undead fiends until they were completely dead, even if it meant reducing them to nothing but old, decrepit dust.

The zombies tried to hide in a couple of buildings, but they had managed to find them after a very careful search. After managing to find the zombies, they would then burn them out and then the game of cat and mouse would begin all over again, something which the ghost girl who was once Agatha Prenderghast took absolute delight in.

She couldn't believe it after all these years of being held back by those annoying people who always told her that stupid story. She was finally able to unleash her curse on those horrible people and happily watch them get punished over and over again without any interruptions. Of course, she also helped the modern-day villagers by destroying whatever structures they had hidden themselves away in order to avoid the modern-day villagers.

It took all day and well into the night to play this game. Some of the modern villagers went home for rest, but that didn't concern her because each one that left, another came in to swiftly take their place.

But by late into the night, she felt a sudden connection with someone. The sudden connection was strong enough to briefly draw her attention away from the entertainment to address it. Agatha wasn't concern about missing anything, it wasn't like anything different was going to happen anyway.

Shutting her eyes for pure concentration, Agatha found that someone was looking into her tragic past. From what she made out; the person is a boy with straight up hair, who has the same gift of speaking with the dead just like her all those years ago. She didn't know exactly on who he was, but he may be a big nuisance to her fun, so she decided that a good scare would keep him away from her.

She was originally going to drag him into the forest she used to play in and use the trees to freak him out. Yet, the boy had managed to get himself out of her grasp and escape her through a door, where she was then teleported into a strange room filled with four other people: there was another boy sleeping on a bed, a older girl and boy sleeping in these cocoon like things, but perhaps the most surprisingly is the same blue hedgehog she had encountered earlier, was sleeping peacefully in a drawer.

Why was he with this spiky haired boy? She didn't know and Agatha had to admit she was a bit curious, but she really couldn't dwell on it now because she was about to have some fun.

Agatha didn't have to wait long for him to sit himself up in fright; she decided to hold back on the scare for a bit just to lower his guard down a bit. Once he was relaxed, she made her move on the boy and managed to scare him enough to kick both of them out of his vision.

Feeling extremely satisfied upon knowing he won't be coming to stop her fun after the scare she gave him. Agatha finally returns her full attention back to watching what's happening below in the village. It appears as though her accusers are currently cornered in an alleyway; she smiles brightly, knowing they would soon be torn apart once more.

Which for some reason that despite watching it more than once now. A strange empty feeling slowly began to fill her and she doesn't know why, but Agatha is very certain that it'll pass in time.

Going off on his natural alarm clock, Mitch is the first one to wake up at around seven.

Mitch has always woken up at this hour when he has no school, simply because he found the earlier you wake up in the morning, the more time you have to do stuff throughout the day. Of course there's another reason and it's his regularly scheduled morning workout.

Stretching after getting up from his sleeping bag, Mitch at first rolled up his sleeping bag before very quietly leaving for his van to put it away and then take out a pair of weights he always kept stored in the back.

Once he had them out, Mitch began on his workout with the weights, where after a hundred and fifty lifts he would jog around the perimeter of the motel. Something that he knew his thighs would greatly appreciate.

The others woke up much later at around eight. Upon waking up, Courtney took the chance to race herself into the bathroom before anyone else could get in there. After shutting the door, the sounds of the shower running rang shortly later throughout the room. Neil and Norman in the meantime slowly crawled themselves out of their beds with Neil gently rubbing his right eye.

Glancing out the window at the sunny day outside, Neil smiled. "What a beautiful morning. Today is going to be a great day."

"You said it." Looking over to the door, they both see Sonic stretching his legs out before slightly bouncing on them. "It's a perfect morning for a run."

"You sure that's wise Sonic? You might get lost if your not careful." Neil gently warned for after all they weren't in Blithe Hallow anymore.

"No worries. I'll be back in no time." Without any further delay, Sonic opens the door and raced himself out through the parking lot and then made a sharp left upon reaching the street.

Finding themselves now completely alone in the room, Norman and Neil made up their beds a bit before Neil looked down at the clothes he was still wearing from yesterday. Since they had left Blithe Hallow in a hurry, they hadn't exactly had time to pack any extra clothes for them to wear, so they would all just have to settle with the clothes they had on their backs.

Neil didn't mind this little issue, so long as his clothes didn't get all dirty and smelly; he could live with it. However, since they were going to be here for a little while before heading off on the road, Neil figured he might as well enjoy the sunny morning, which he was certain Norman would like to do as well.

"Hey Norman. You wanna go sit together at the picnic table?"

Looking at him, Norman was going to politely decline Neil's invitation, until he remembers the conversation that he had with Sonic last night. If he wanted to come out of his shell and gain an actual living friend, then he has to make a slow effort. He knows it won't be immediate and wouldn't exactly turn him into someone who willing has a nice chat with another person he doesn't know, really it's slow baby steps.

Considering that in mind, Norman allows himself a small smile directed towards Neil. "Sure Neil."

Beaming in happiness, Neil quickly went on over and grabbed Norman's hand, where he practically pulled Norman out of the room and all the way down to the picnic table. After situating themselves on the same seat, Neil at last began to enthusiastically talk. "Wow Norman. Can't you believe that this is our second day out on the road. It feels like such a long time since we left town."

"I know what you mean. I mean here we are at some unfamiliar motel near the boarder that leads into New York. To think that today we would be getting ourselves ready for the final rehearsal for the school play." Norman remarked, while feeling secretly relived that he wouldn't be participating in that play after all. It's definitely more a relief when he thinks about that horrifying revelation he had in that vision last night. Witnessing that tragic revelation gave Norman a great amount of disgust that the play or the whole town for that matter is shamelessly profiting off of that poor girl's death.

Besides him, Neil lightly smacked his forehead for forgetting about the school play. "Oh yeah, that's right. The play was tonight wasn't it? Boy, I hope we didn't inconvenience everyone." He said with a bit of guilt for who were they going to have to play as the tree now?

"I wouldn't worry Neil. I'm sure they got someone to quickly replace us." Norman then releases a soft chuckle. "But you know. I bet out of everyone; Alvin is really missing us."

"Is it because he can't pull any of his usual tricks or write on both our lockers?"

Slightly shrugging to him, Norman tilts his head a bit with a side glance. "Pretty much."

"You think he's going to give us a piece of his mind when we get back?"

"Most likely in the form of graffiti, welcoming us back on both of our lockers."

A couple of chuckles escaped the two boys as they both pictured Alvin waiting solemnly for them to return at the school's entrance with a black pen clenched in his hand. However speaking of people who may be missing them; their parents now came to mind. Both of their parents must be so worried on their current whereabouts, they most likely tried on contacting them from each of their phones.

They would go take a look, but they can't risk it because that doctor might trace their locations if they turn on their phones and call back their parents. This goes the same for Neil's good friend Salma; while Norman only had a few interactions with her due to either homework or project assignments. She is close with Neil, so she must be very concerned about what's going on, especially if she finds an article about him appearing on America's Most Wanted.

Norman also knew full heartily that his grandma is also heavily concern on his current whereabouts. Unlike his parents, she was there when Robotnik came to the house. For all Norman knew, she could be on the couch at this very moment, dreadfully thinking that he and his sister were being held in a maximum security cell right now with Robotnik doing all sorts of unpleasant experiments on them; such as placing them inside robots to power them up.

The thought of his worried grandmother causes Norman to slightly turn his head towards the back of the motel, where he witnesses the ghost of a squirrel with its head missing. It's a bit disturbing, but he has seen much worse before, such as Mr. Smith; the crossing guard who met the unfortunate end with a steamroller incident.

"Are you seeing a ghost right now?" Neil suddenly asked after taking notice of Norman's drifting gaze.

On pure instinct, Norman would deny it, but he fought it because if he was going to be friends with Neil, he had to be truthful, no matter how much his mind was fighting against it. "Yes, it's a squirrel."

"How cute. What's the little fella doing?"

Looking back over to the squirrel, Norman watches it place ghostly acorns into the hole where the missing head would be. "It's looking for nuts." Norman wasn't exactly lying, but he felt that it was very best not to add in the detail of the squirrel missing its head.

"Aw. You can say he's still nutty after death." Neil joked lightly before thinking of something. "You know. It's too bad we aren't back in town for maybe you could've, perhaps seen my late dog Bub."

"I guess." It really depends if Neil's dog would be there in the first place for not everyone or in this case, everything comes back as a ghost. It really depends on the way someone has died or having unfinished business they need to attend to, or sometimes they simply choose to remain. But enough about that important detail on how ghosts are made, Norman has to know one thing.

"Do you really don't mind that I can see and talk to ghosts?"

"Of course not. I think it's very awesome!" Neil happily answered, surprising Norman a lot for no other person has called his gift awesome. It felt. It honestly felt very nice.

"Thanks Neil. And you know, I'm positivity sure that if we were still at home, I could see your dog." His response made Neil smile brightly, he had to make sure to remind himself that when they eventually get back home, to invite Norman over to his house, so that he could have a nice reunion with his long dead dog.

"Hooray! I could play fetch with Bub again."

Raising his finger to unfortunately point out to Neil that his dog wouldn't be able to pick up a stick without having a large amount of energy. Norman is interrupted by a low humming that steadily grew closer to them, quickly looking up to the sky with Neil. They both flinch as three EggDrones hovered on down to their levels with their guns out in attack positions.

Intimidated by their sudden presence and the guns being pointed at him, Neil leaned back a bit, with his teeth visibly shaking. "Are these the drones you've told me about?"

"Unfortunately yes." Norman uneasily replied.

Watching the terrified boys through the eyes of the drones, Robotnik stood in his lab with a evil smile for you really can find someone while out on the road. It took a few stops; like that very tacky bar and grill, where he swiftly dealt with that angry single cell organism by effortlessly throwing him through a window, after he foolishly got in Robotnik's face and threaten to punch him. A very stupid mistake he won't be forgetting about in a long time.

But at last; Robotnik has finally found his fugitives hiding out at some motel only a couple of miles away from his current location.

His plan is very simple; his drones will hold them there until his arrival. Once he gets there, he will use them as leverage for the alien to surrender, although personally he would very much rather prefer on doing it the hard way.

"Mind if I join your little conversation? I always give light to them."

The EggDrones kept their guns firmly trained on the two boys. All ready to fire their payload at the slightest movement they pulled, even if it's a slight muscle twitch.

"How are we going to get out of this Norman?" Neil asked for the drones ominous humming freaked him out.

"I don't know." They could perhaps take shelter underneath the table, but he doubted they would be fast enough to even launch themselves off the seat before getting pelted by bullets. Even if they could get underneath the table, those bullets would just go through the wood and then through their heads.

They had no other choice, but to sit here until the crazy doctor arrived to collect them, where who knows what he will do next.

Suddenly coming in hot from behind the drones, Sonic jumps into the air and curls himself up into a ball where he smashes himself into the drone on the far right, causing it to explode before crumbling into pieces. The drones turned in attention to their fallen comrade, they couldn't even register on what happened next as Sonic smashed them as well.

Landing in front of the middle destroyed drone, Sonic heroically places his hands on his hips. "Oh yeah. Never seen me coming."

Turning his full attention to Norman and Neil now, his expression quickly changed into concern. "Are you guys alright?"

"We are now, thanks to you." Norman replied with a small smile.

"You were so awesome! Coming in fast, then bashing them all like a video game hero!" Neil proclaimed with his hands balled into excited fists.

"Hero?" Sonic liked the idea of that. "I always wanted to be a superhero." His ears then suddenly twitched as they then picked up something that's steadily coming in more closer. "Sounds like more are coming."

"What do we do?" Neil asked in a panic.

"You guys get in the van. I'll draw these piles of flying metal cans away." They were after him after all, he might as well use this as a big advantage.

"Are you sure that's a good idea. You know what he'll do to you, if he catches you?" Neil stated in great concern for his blue friend, who in return flashes him a smile.

"Don't worry. They can't catch me. Now hurry along before they get here, I'll catch up with you once I'm done with these guys." Speeding away from the two before they could protest further. He leaves Norman and Neil to run for their motel room, where Courtney had just came out and Mitch has just returned from a jog.

"Guys! We need to get out of here!" Norman urged.

"What? Why?" Courtney asked while the back of her ponytail still dripped water from her recent shower.

"The mad doctor who came to our house has found us." Norman answered as he and Neil raced for the van.

"Mad doctor?" Mitch repeated in confusion.

"Aw great! That doofus again." Courtney groaned, for a second there, she thought that this morning wasn't going to have any kind of drama.

"Can we back up a bit. I'm having trouble fallowing this." Mitch remarked as he scratched his head.

"Short story. He's the crazy government scientist, who came to my house yesterday and threaten us with his egg, drone things. You know, I told you about him yesterday." Courtney explained.

"Oh right." Mitch did recall about Courtney mentioning about him before they left his house. If he was coming here, they must get out of here right away, but they were missing someone. "Where's Sonic?"

"He says that he's going to distract those bad robots, while we make our epic escape." Neil answered as he quickly stepped into the van.

"Is he insane! Why would he do that?" Courtney shouted with her arms raised above her head. Oh boy; that hedgehog is going to drive her off the deep end with these reckless decisions yet.

"He's doing this so that we can get away." Norman stated in a more serious tone that Courtney never heard from him before. "We need to get moving before that doctor gets here."

Without muttering another word, Norman leaves for the van, leaving Courtney a bit hesitant for she wanted to wait for Sonic to return, but at last she moves herself into the awaiting van.

Hunched over on a tree branch, it didn't take long for Sonic to spot four EggDrones coming in hot. Jumping off the branch and onto the road, Sonic waved his arms above his head as he shouted loudly at them. "Yoo-hoo! I'm right here, bolt brains!"

Smirking as they now moved in towards him, Sonic dashed off into the forest. Not far behind him, he could hear the drones in pursuit. Coming to a sudden stop that pushed away fallen leaves and dirt, Sonic turned around to face the drones.

"Catch me if you can, Egghead!"

Getting close enough to him the drones began firing their guns at Sonic, who immediately dashed out of the way and kept out of pace from the bullets that struck the ground very close behind him.

Speeding up, he easily outpaces the drones before suddenly turning around and stopped at a large tree. The drones stop to get a clear line of fire on him, however Sonic suddenly hopped on the trunk of the tree and uses it to bounce above them, where he then smash two of them, jumped off a drone to punch another one in the red eye, then picked up a rock and threw it like a baseball into the last one's eye.

Landing in the middle of the circle of destroyed drones, Sonic smugly places his foot on one of them. "Come on Robuttnik! Is this all you got?"

Frowning from both the destruction of more of his beautiful drones and that pitiful nickname the alien given him. Robotnik is swift to respond by turning on his holographic computer, which displayed all of his lovely machines of destruction.

"Tough guy, huh? How about this for a challenge?" Selecting a round robot with two sets of spinning blades, Robotnik quickly sent it to the alien's location.

This one will knock a few quills out of this rodent's body. Along with a few pieces of skin.

Impatiently tapping his foot against the metal of the drone, Sonic's ears twiched from a incoming buzzing sound.

Swiftly looking towards the direction of the noise. Sonic witnesses a couple of branches and leafs getting shredded away as a softball sized; robot with red buzzing saws came charging at him.

Reacting quickly, Sonic jumped out of its way in the nick of time and grabbed hold of a branch. Looking back at the spinning bladed robot that momentarily hovered at the spot he just a second ago stood in. He doesn't even blink, when it came charging at him.

Jumping off onto another branch slightly above him. The robot cuts through the branch he previously stood on in less than a millisecond, but then it swiftly moved at Sonic again, resulting in a chase up the tree with the robot effortlessly cutting through every branch Sonic jumped on. Reaching the top of the tree, Sonic hops himself to another tree and now makes his way down back to the ground where he finds a large stick.

Picking it up, Sonic gets himself into a baseball player's position. "Evil robot with saw blades is closing in. The crowd is on the edge of their seats as they wonder if their beloved hedgehog can make it out of this mess."

Bursting through the leaves, ever so closing in the distance within seconds. Sonic leaps over the robot and lands behind it, where swinging with all of his might, he strikes it in the opening in-between the saw blades and sends it flying right into the large trunk of a tree, destroying it in a short fireball.

"And the crowd goes wild! The blue blur is once again victorious!" Clapping his hands around his mouth, Sonic pretends to be the crowd within his mind. After having his short glory of victory Sonic then runs off to catch up with the others.

Grinding his teeth in frustration, Robotnik can see that he had to take even greater measures to erase that smug grin from that pesky alien.

Looking around briefly on the holographic computer, he efficiently finds his most heaviest set of machinery, which is loaded with all sorts of surprises for both the rodent and his little friends to.

Speeding down the road very close to the speed limit. Mitch kept his eyes trained on the road while the others kept a wide eye watch for either Sonic or any of those drones in the sky. So far; there wasn't any sign of those drones chasing after them which is very good for the further they get away from Robotnik the better. But yet they are all also very concern for there was still wasn't any sign of Sonic, which is very troubling for who knows what could have happened to him during all this time.

"I hope Sonic is okay." Neil remarked with worry. "I don't want him to get blasted by those evil drones."

Turning to him in sympathy, Norman slowly places a comforting hand on Neil's shoulder. "I'm worried for him to Neil. Believe me, I don't like thinking about that doctor capturing him. But who knows, maybe he's on his way back right now as we speak."

A sudden tapping from the window on Norman's side causes them both to quickly look over. Looking in at them completely upside down with two thumbs up, Sonic smiled in at them, which Norman and Neil gladly return. Wasting no time, Norman opens up the window for him in which Sonic gladly hopped right into the van and lands at his usual spot.

"Thank goodness you're alright. You had us all extremely worried." Neil exclaimed with a hand on his chest.

"So. Are all of those drones destroyed or what?" Courtney now asked for although she was clearly worried about him from what Sonic could easily tell. The drone problem is something that they all needed to know about in order to completely calm their nerves. Especially if its concern with the matter of Robotnik catching them or not.

"No need to worry everyone. I completely trashed them all." Sonic happily boasted.

"So, we are safe then?" Mitch question.

"Yep. Just as long as we keep on moving and make some turns. Robuttnik won't be getting us anytime soon."

A fast projectile then suddenly crashed through the rear end doors, completely arch right over Sonic's head, and impaled itself deep into the radio. Everyone screamed in surprise over it's sudden appearance, upon even further inspection they see that the object is a harpoon, and Mitch almost felt like crying right at the moment from the heavy damage caused to the radio, if he weren't so terrified at the moment.

"Where did that come from?!" Courtney shouted for that thing nearly went through her upper arm.

They all then looked back and through the now opened rear doors, they see a large vehicle called: the EggTank driving after them. It is decked out with black armor, while out on its front is a tow cable that's attached to the harpoon, which it quickly began to slowly pull back the van towards it.

"Oh man! He's got us! We're done for!" Neil cried in panic.

"And my poor baby's damaged!" Mitch added in a sad tone, earning him some stares for not concerning himself with the much bigger problem at hand. Sonic on the other hand found himself glaring at the heavily armored tank that drew more closer.

"Man. This guy is really starting to bug me." First he nearly killed Ghost Boy and his sister back at the house, nearly chopped his butt off with that buzzsaw robot, now he has the absolute nerve to damage their sweet ride. Thinking of all this causes a sudden flow of emotions to run through him as Sonic is brought back to that fateful day; when he was separated from LongClaw. His glare now hardens, he would not let that happen to him again.

Sonic however isn't even aware that once again, his body is sparking with blue electricity or that his eyes have turned blue, but Norman and the others definitely noticed. "Sonic. What's up with your body?"

Hearing Norman concernly calling out to him, Sonic quickly looks to his energize body in panic. "Oh no! Not again!"

"This happened to you before?" Neil asked in puzzlement.

"This is what made me cause the blackout!" Sonic didn't know how to stop this, but this was the least of his problems for a sudden jerk from the pulling tow cable causes him to fly out of his seat and out through the back. Going on complete instinct, Sonic rolls himself into a ball and spins himself right into the front, left side of the tank. The tank is lifted right off the ground from an explosion of energy and then knocked down to its side, which lodges the harpoon out of the radio and snapped back into place on the burning tank.

Near the destroyed vehicle, completely unaffected by the hard impact with the tank. Sonic slowly raises himself up, completely stunned for that certainly was unexpected. Casting his eyes over to the down robot, instantly excited him over the fact that he had actually done that. Looking quickly over to the others, who have just pulled up a few feet away from him, Sonic gleefully points to his handiwork. "Did you guys see on what I just did? This tank was all like; I'm going to get you, but I took it out with one hit!"

"How in the world are you totally not hurt?" Courtney remarked with question; for you think that he would at least have felt some amount of pain from slamming into something like that hulking metal.

"I have no idea." Sonic happily replied.

"Um guys. I don't think it's completely out of commission." Norman spoke up as there was movement at a section from the bottom.

"Oh no." Mitch mumbled for it looks like that this wasn't over just yet. Quickly turning the van around, he drives away from the wreckage, leaving Sonic behind a bit, but he quickly caught up with them and situated himself at the very back of the van, while maintaining complete eye contact with the wreckage.

Deploying out from the wreckage is a smaller robot vehicle with four wheels that bounced on the road a bit, but then quickly zips on after them. "I think that tank just had a baby."

Quickly getting within range of them; the robot shoots out a flat, red disk that sped right at them. "Mitch! Weave left!"

Doing on what Sonic ordered. Mitch barely dodges the disk that continued to skid forward, until it reached the bottom of a pickup truck. Shortly afterwards; a electric discharge wraps around the truck, forcibly shutting the vehicle down as it spun around once before coming to a stop in a ditch. Passing by the truck, they all could see the flabbergasted driver still clenching onto the steering wheel.

The robot meanwhile shot out six more disks, which Sonic is quick to respond to by dashing out of the van and hopping onto two of them like skates, he then picked up one and threw it at another one before slamming the disks he was riding on into another incoming one, he finally grabs the final one and gets himself on top of the robot, where he leans down and looked into the robot's eye.

"Hey, everybody! Welcome back to my livestream! Today, we're destroying robots! Step one like so!" Sonic slams the disk into the eye. The robot spins out of control as Sonic quickly dashed his way back into the van. Looking back to the robot, Sonic cheered as he witnesses the robot spin into a ditch and explode.

"That's how we do it!"

But Sonic's victory is short lived however as another robot with just one wheel, speeds itself out of the dark smoke. "We got more company incoming!"

The one wheeled robot quickly catches up to the rear, deploying two large spikes on the wheel; the robot moves in for the van's rear wheel on Courtney's side, something which Courtney quickly took notice on. Being completely done with these robots, she picks up one of Mitch's weights and opens the door.

"Mitch, hit the brakes!" She barked.

Doing on what she says, Mitch slams down on the brakes; forcing the vehicle to a stop which causes the robot to slam itself into the open door, disorienting it a bit. Courtney took this opening by smashing the weight against the head, knocking it down with a great deal of sparks.

Satisfied with her handiwork, Courtney happily resettled herself back onto her seat, while putting the weight right back on where she found it. "That takes care of that."

But it wasn't for one final robot; the size of a fly, buzzed right out through the one wheeled robot's eye. Shaped like a helicopter, the tiny robot gets right on up to Neil's window and deployed a red hot laser that cuts through the metal, it then slowly goes around the vehicle as they all helplessly watched it, until at last the robot made its way back to where it first cut through.

The top half of the van then breaks off and flies off down the road, making them all scream out loud, especially Mitch over the state of his poor baby.

The tiny robot in the meantime buzzes on over to a frustrated Sonic, who quickly plucked it from the air and ripped off the back motor. "Buzz off you little creep."

He then goes to throw it, but the robot stuck itself firmly onto his glove and then began to beep, greatly alarming everyone around him. "That can't be good."

"Beeping is generally not good! Get rid of it!" Courtney urgently ordered, she for one didn't feel like getting blown up at the moment.

Sonic tried to flick it off, but when that didn't work he then tries to bite it off, then yank it off with his other hand only to have it stick itself to that hand instead. "I'm trying! It won't come off!"

The beeping then begins to get much faster, scaring them all further to the point that Mitch pulled over to the side of the road. He barely stopped the van, when Sonic jumped out of the van and continues to struggle with getting the robot off of him as it beeps much more faster and faster. Eventually through his panicking struggles, the robot ends up sticking on top of Sonic's forehead. "Get it off me!"

"Hang on man! I got this!" Rushing over to him with a tissue, Mitch plucked the robot off of him and threw it with all of his might.

"I got it." He happily exclaimed, only to notice the scared looks on everyone's faces. Glancing down to his hand, Mitch felt his life drain from him for the robot is now sticking to his hand.

Upon seeing the great danger he is in, Sonic plucked it off of him, dashed to a nearby boulder and wipes the robot on to it. At last they were safe to his relief, turning back to his friends, Sonic happily began to walk over to them with his hand poised in a high five. "Nailed it."

The robot at last detonates in a small explosion with enough power to completely destroy the boulder along with a blast wave powerful enough to completely throw Sonic off his feet. Shielding themselves from the blast that blew the fabrics of their clothes backwards. Norman and the others lowered down their arms, and what they saw made their hearts stop.

Laying flat on the ground, Sonic made no signs of any movement with pebbles from the blown up boulder scattered all over his back. Quickly getting around him in concern, Courtney flips him onto his back and brought her ear down to his chest.

"Is he dead?" Neil worriedly asked.

Norman didn't think so for if he was dead, he would've seen his ghost rising out of his body right at the moment, but nevertheless he's very concern for Sonic.

"Thankfully no. I can hear his heartbeat, it's very fast by the way. Which I think is completely normal for him." Raising herself back up on to her feet, Courtney remains concern though for who knows how much pain he is in.

"What are we going to do now?" Neil now asked for Sonic might be very hurt, should they take him to a doctor or a veterinarian?

"I think we should press on. That doctor is still after us. Plus he would've wanted us to continue on to New York." Norman spoke up. They really did need to get moving before Robotnik gets here for he might be closing in on them at this very moment.

The others silently agreed after a little debate. Leaning himself down, Mitch gently picked up Sonic and carried him as they all head back to the van.

His machines. His beautiful, destructive machines. They were all destroyed by those annoying pests and what's worse? They were still on the move. They certainly poked a stick at a polar bear now; for no one destroys his machines, he'll make them pay even greater once he finally catches them.

"Did we get them?" Agent Stone asked from behind him after coming in to check up on the retrieval mission, thinking that they were subdued by the EggTank. Instead he spots their fugitives van still driving down the road. "No wait, there they are. They're real survivors, those five."

Getting even more infuriated by the annoying comment, Robotnik slowly turned to face Stone. "Can we have a moment?" Walking a short distance down the lab, Robotnik stops in his tracks and points to the wall behind Agent Stone. "Pin yourself against the wall."

Agent Stone does so and Robotnik gets close to his face. "You know, I won't miss you when you're gone. Human beings are unreliable and stupid, and I care very little about them. But my machines are diligent, relentless. THEY'RE EVERYTHING TO ME!"

He would've said more, but stopped himself upon noticing a blue light coming from Stone's coat pocket. Reaching into the pocket, Robotnik slowly pulls out the now glowing quill in great interest, moving the quill around slowly; he saw electricity crackling along against it. This was definitely worth a much more careful study.
