The next day, Luke sighed as Luna was gone.
In space, Chrissy woke up in a test tube.
"Aw, sweetie, happy birthday." Begmax says.
"Why am I here?" Chrissy asked.
"To finish the experiment." Begmax says as Chrissy then had a flash of memories.
Flashback: A 3 year old Chrissy was being used as a test subject.
"No!" Chrissy screamed.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi and Luke was relaxing as Jitro arrived
"Jitro!" Angry Luigi says, scared, and hides.
Leni looked nervous.
"Listen, I don't do this, but there is a big threat out in space, a villain known as Begmax and I need your help to stop him." Jitro says as Lynn and Alem tuber look excited
"I get to go to space?" Lisa asked.
"No way, we're chicken. Right, Luke? Me and Luke don't do adventures or any heroic stuff." Angry Luigi says. Luke glares at Brandy.
"You're probably going to be on the news." Jitro says.
"No way." Angry Luigi says.
"And you call yourself a hero." Jitro says, heading off.
"Now let's get back to watching Roll The Dice." Cuphead says.
"Yeah, anything but that." Angry Luigi says as Alem tuber dragged his brother. Luke followed them.
"I'll drain the power on Earth. Those humans stand no chance." Begmax says.
"Good show!" Windy says.
Suddenly, Lisa's spaceship crashed.
"What is this?" Begmax says and looked on the cameras
"It would seem some wanna-be heroes are coming to try and stop me. Well, they will fail." Begmax says darkly.
The heroes see some robot ninjas tossing kunai and shurikens. Alex uses his sword to deflect them.
Lynn leaped and started punching them "You know, we should help Luke more often." She says.
Lucy blasted the rest of them and sighed before Speedyquick attacked her.
"Yikes!" Angry Luigi says as Flameshooter shot flames at him.
Alem tuber kicked Aquashooter, sending him flying. "You guys handle the small fry. Leave Begmax to the real hero!" Alem tuber says, rushing off on his own.
"I'll stop Begmax first!" Lynn says, turning this into a sport and speeding off as Oliver used magic on Speedyquick.
"Flameshooter, a little help?" Speedyquick asked.
Luke shot ice at Aquashooter.
Meanwhile, Jitro and Terra double kicked Metal Chrissy as Alem tuber and Lynn sees Windy
"Hey, Jitro, make room for the real hero!" Alem tuber says.
"Oh, great, saved by Alem tuber…I'm never going to live this down." Chrissy groaned as Windy shot a gust of wind, trying to blow Lynn back.
"Lynn, I'll save you!" Lincoln says, but Windy blasted Lincoln.
"Lincoln!" Lynn says as she gets up. "No one hurts my baby bro except me!" Lynn says as she powered through and punched Windy.
"You did good, but we still need to take care of Begmax. Whatever you kids have done before means nothing compared to him. He's deadly" Jitro says.
"Yeah, he hasn't met us." Oliver says.
"Or we could go home." Bill says.
"Or we can hack into his ship and take out his power supply. Luke should be able to hold him off and save the day. Maybe before I finish." Lisa says and gets to work as Luke and Lynn were punching Begmax in the background. He punched Lynn as Alem tuber shot a final flash and Jason looked on as Alex was tossing kunais at Begmax.
Lucy looked for a spell and summoned a portal spell, but Begmax walked up and blasted Lucy.
Alem tuber kicked him and smirked. "It's over, Begmax!" He said and shot a final flash at Begmax, who blocked as there was an explosion.
"Nice job…" Lynn says
"You thought you had a chance." Begmax says as Savannah was freeing Chrissy.
"His suit is the source of his powers." Chrissy says.
"Chrissy, how dare you!" Begmax says and was about to punch her, but Savannah got in the way, taking the blow.
He looked at Angry Luigi and tried shooting plasma at Angry Luigi, who lifted up crystals and took out his Metal Cap. "Metal time!" Angry Luigi says.
Luke took the opportunity to use his Elemental Lightning Storm, short circuiting Begmax's suit. He then hissed menacingly.
Metal Angry Luigi punched him.
"You haven't seen the last of me!" Begmax says.
"We were wrong, you aren't that bad, how can we thank you?" Jitro asked.
"Oh, I know a statue in my honor." Lola says. She had been here for Christmas break and Luke's stuff.
"Wow, really?" Lana asked.
Luke just leaves in anger. Angry Luigi and Lynn stop him. "I know. Can we have a big party?" Lynn asked.
"Or better yet, go home and never do any heroic work again." Angry Luigi says before getting in Lisa's ship.
Luke hissed as he just left in tears.
Later, Chrissy sighed as Savannah offered her a gift.
Chrissy was confused. "For me?" She asked as Savannah smiled.
"Happy birthday." Savannah says.
Chrissy opened the gift, seeing a charm bracelet.
"Come on." Savannah says.
The group had fun dancing and stuff, and after cake, Chrissy sighed.
"It's been fun, but I'm heading off. I hope we don't cross paths again. If we do, you won't like it." Chrissy says, specifically talking about Randy. Chrissy turned into Jetray and flew off into space.
"I hope we see her again." Savannah says.
"Yeah, for a rematch." Alem tuber says.
On the 13th, Lucy was heading out as Luke had to go perform. Luke was too mad at everyone to even care. He left with Oliver, in a huff.
"Luke?" Leni asked, concerned.
Luke kept walking with Oliver. He felt angry and annoyed.
"Please talk to me. What's wrong?" Leni asked.
"Oh, nothing important. Just that everyone is already forgetting my birthday!" Luke shouted.
"Luke, that's not true. You can't judge people. Please have faith in us?" Leni asked.
"No, you're all incompetent! None of you loved me at all!" Luke sobbed.
Leni tears up and walks off. She knew Luke said that because of Luna's announcement. And that made him more upset.
He was upset because Luna had to miss his birthday this year. And he started crying when she said that.
"There's only one thing to do to save Luke's birthday. Get Luna eliminated and ruin her dream." Lynn says.
"Yeah, Luna should've chosen Luke." Lola says. But Lori vetoed that idea immediately.
Luke just stormed to the show studio in stony silence. Victoria could see how miserable he looked. She sat next to him, showing concern.
"Hey, Luke…" Victoria says. "Would you like to talk?"
Luke tearfully nods as he fills her in on what's been going on. Victoria offers him a tissue and a shoulder to cry on.
"It's going to be okay." Victoria says, rubbing Luke's back. Oliver feels horrible for Luke as he offers him some sparkling water.
Brandy feels bad.
"We're still going to win." Randy says.
"Ha, ha, ha!" Wlem says.
"Great…it's Wlem and Wandy. Why can't Luke and I quit being heroes and retire to Hawaii?" Brandy asked.
"Luke is a hero." Oliver says.
"Because you suck." Wlem teased.
"You know what?! Maybe they're right. Come on, it's not too late to take Luke on that vacation, stay there, retire, or maybe go to heaven." Brandy says.
"Hey, idiot, you can't retire." Randy says.
Luke hissed in frustration and walked off.
"Sorry, Oliver, Brandy has paranoia. He doesn't actually like adventures and his home life isn't the best." Colleen says.
Brandy goes to be alone, looking down.
"Why are Luke and Brandy always depressed?" One kid asked.
"WHY DON'T YOU MIND YOUR BUSINESS?! LUKE IS GOING THROUGH A BAD TIME RIGHT NOW! AND IF YOU THREATEN TO HAVE HIM ELIMINATED, YOU WILL BE SORRY!" Luan snapped.
The kid soon ran off, scared.
"Luan, you can't do that. It's just a kid." Lincoln says.
"Leave. Me. Alone!" Luan says, walking off.
"Hey, I'm supposed to be the one with anger issues. How did I become the calm one?" Lola asked, stunned.
Luke just sat in his dressing room, upset.
Leni checks on him. "Luke, are you okay?" She asked.
"LUNA HATES LUKE! SHE DOESN'T LOVE LUKE! SHE HATES LUKE!" Luke wailed.
"Luke, you have to understand. She has her own dreams and you can't force Luna to do whatever you want her to do." Leni says, but Luke tunes her out. Luna had promised to be here for Luke's birthday, but now that promise ended up being broken.
Luke sniffed and finally accepted that Luna would never be there for him again as he got ready for the show.
"Guys, he's upset." Leni says
"So, what are you waiting for, Lisa? Drag Luna over here." Lola says.
"No. You're going to use your words! The last time you dragged anyone, Lincoln ended up with two broken arms." Lori says.
"Luna will probably say that she has travel issues or some other excuse." Lola says.
"No violence!" Lori shouts.
"Wow, this family falls apart just because I go on tour?" Luna asked, looking tired and stressed.
"Luke hates you right now." Lola says.
"I know, that's why I dropped out." Luna says.
She then walks to his dressing room.
"I hate you!" Luke screamed.
"I'm sorry." Luna says.
"I'll never forgive!" Luke sobbed. Oliver watches this.
"I came early. I got you this. You can open it early. I'll go." Luna says leaving, ashamed.
It was Luke's birthday gift. Luke sniffed and opened it. He was surprised to see that Luna got him the guitar he had dreamed of since he was 10. And he soon felt bad for upsetting her. He then looked guilty.
Meanwhile, Lucy came as Cuphead pulled her. "We're going to be late for the interview and show." Cuphead says.
"I'm supposed to be with Grandma Harriet…" Lucy says.
Luke soon finds Luna.
"If you're mad, it's okay." Luna sniffed.
"No. I was just upset. When you announced that you would potentially miss my birthday, it really hurt me." Luke says. "After you promised you would be here for it."
Luke then sniffed as Luna held him.
After that, the show would be in one hour. Luke was still a little shaken with sadness. Oliver puts an arm around him, then offers Luke his skates. Lucy saw this and pitied him.
Luke sniffs and puts on his roller skates, practicing his poses as he was staying steady like he practiced.
Cuphead and Lucy practice their song.
Soon, Victoria came out with James.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Audition Christmas special! Tonight's show has all kinds of magical performances and maybe even some surprises will be in store!" Victoria says, smiling and dressed in an elf costume.
"Indeed! But one of our teams will kiss their chance of passing their audition goodbye tonight as our first elimination of season 5 will happen tonight. So if you don't want your team of choice on the elimination block, don't forget to vote!" James says. "Tonight's elimination will leave us with 20 teams who will go to the next show in Minneapolis, Minnesota."
"Coming up first is the team you seem to love so much…" Victoria says.
"Cuphead and Lucy!" James says.
They soon come out and do their performance of "Blue Christmas", using the version from Glee.
Fans cheered for them.
With Luke, he was hissing at his calendar. He turns 14 in two days. But he sees that nothing has really been done to get ready for it. No mention of a party or anything of the sort.
He saw a big poster, promoting his birthday. He hissed and screamed at it.
"HATE!" Luke screamed.
Luke hissed as Oliver entered. He saw the poster as Luke hissed at it more.
"What's wrong?" Oliver asked.
"Why is my party a promotional event?" Luke asked.
"So your friends won't forget. Besides, you're that important." Lucy says, looking down. "I thought you wanted the attention."
"I do. But you're also trying to invite practically anyone who'll come." Luke says.
"No, the poster was just to make sure everything I worked half my life for goes perfectly, but I guess others hate my efforts." Lucy says, thinking of her siblings, having given out specific invitations.
Luke sighs and walks off to get ready for his performance.
Soon, it was Mugman and Margo's turn. They performed "Baby, It's Cold Outside", and the crowd was delighted by their performance.
"Coming up next, the stars of the show, the ones that girls go wild for…Luke Huntington and Oliver Fox!" Victoria says.
Luke and Oliver came out on stage on their roller skates, and they started their "Jingle Bells" routine, skating and doing tricks as they sang it, using the Glee rendition of said song.
Fans cheer and girls scream out loud for them. Some even fainted.
They soon finish, getting the iridescent star buttons, marking their spot in the top 20. The boys squealed excitedly.
Mark growled and walked off.
Randy got ready to go on with Brandy.
"Get ready for a dynamic performance duo!" Victoria says.
"Presenting Brandy and Randy Waterlash!" James says.
The twins come out as fans cheer. They then perform the song "Deck The Rooftop" from Glee. Fans cheered for the twins.
"Boo!" Mark says and walked off.
Soon Lucy had an interview
"Sigh, tomorrow is my birthday, but I don't want to celebrate it. Why? I don't like celebrating it." Lucy says.
"But I planned a big birthday for you. I worked my hardest for you…" Cuphead says.
"Well…I accept." Lucy says.
Soon, Lisa and Beau got ready to go on.
"Coming up next, a duo that touches our hearts, Lisa Huntington and Beau Yates!" Victoria says.
The couple comes on stage and performs "All I Want For Christmas Is You". Fans cheer for them.
Backstage, Luke hissed more and walked off.
Chalice was concerned "Listen, I'm sure your birthday will be perfect." Chalice says to him.
"Yeah, sure it will…" Luke says, unconvinced.
"Not even with me?" Chalice asked, holding his hands. Luke looked at her and smiled a little.
"You…" Luke smiled a little more, looking at Chalice.
Mark and Brandon went on, doing better than the twins as girls scream and toss flowers.
Randy sighed. So did Oliver. Oliver then went to see Luke.
Chalice was still comforting Luke as Oliver came up.
"Will Luke get a good birthday? Luke knows his siblings ruin everything! Luke doesn't want siblings to ruin it!" Luke cried.
"Lukey, some of them make you happy. You know that…" Chalice says. Luke thinks of those particular siblings.
"Fine." Luke says. He knows Luna writes special birthday songs for him, he knows Leni gives him new birthday outfits, he knows Lisa always gives him the coolest gifts, and he knows Luan is a great party entertainer who always had new routines planned for his birthday shows. And he also loved Lincoln and his friends.
The next day Lucy was making Luke's breakfast, wanting him to have her day.
"Lucy, today is your day. Cuphead worked really hard. Are you really going to break his heart?" Lynn asked.
"Sigh. Fine. Just this once." Lucy says.
She goes to sit down. She feels like this would upset Luke. Lucy sighed, just wanting to get this day over with.
Lincoln took Luke out to get his cake and stuff. Luke was silent the whole time.
He looked at every cake in the bakery. But none of them seemed good enough for him. But he bought a dozen coconut chocolate chip cookies, his favorite. He then walked out of the bakery with Lincoln.
Meanwhile, Savannah baked him a cake in Greendale. She used Arctic blue icing on a white chocolate cake. She was alone at home. She then tried to figure out Luke's birthday theme.
Then it hit her. Skylia was going to do a magic show, so it had to be magic themed. Which was the theme of his first party.
His second party would be themed around candy.
Lucy finished her breakfast, then she headed out.
She was at Harriet's grave, sighing.
Cuphead was decorating as he used gothic decorations. He asked Mugman and Chalice to help and he even asked Luke. Luke had told him he was busy today. He left Lucy's favorite cake there for the party, but sent his regrets.
They soon finished, but Lucy didn't seem to be coming. Cuphead started to cry.
"All this work…for nothing…" he says sadly.
Lynn noticed Lucy still at Harriet's grave as Lucy couldn't seem to leave the past behind.
Lynn puts a hand on Lucy's shoulder.
"Sniff." Lucy sniffed.
"Come here, sis." Lynn says. Lucy collapsed into Lynn's arms, crying. After a bit, Lynn took Lucy to the party Cuphead planned.
Lucy noticed confetti falling around her.
"Happy birthday, Lucy!" Everyone but Luke says as Lucy sniffed. Cuphead hugged her.
"Thank you." Lucy sniffed.
The party began with some dancing, but Lucy sat alone. Cuphead sat with her.
"Are you okay, Luce?" Cuphead asked.
"Grandma Harriet's birthday is today, too." Lucy sniffed.
"Isn't she dead?" Cuphead asked.
Lucy sniffed and nodded. "I miss her a lot. I visit her grave every year on my birthday. That's why I seldom celebrate." She says.
"Oh…Do you want to…" Cuphead looked at Lucy.
"Do I want to what?" Lucy sniffed.
"Celebrate?" Cuphead asked.
"You put a lot of work into this party. So yes, at least right now. But next year, please ask me what I want." Lucy says to Cuphead.
Cuphead nods and gives his gift to Lucy. It was a gold jack-o-lantern charm for her necklace. It even lit up like a jack-o-lantern.
"Thank you." Lucy says and kisses Cuphead after putting the charm on her necklace.
With Luke, tears filled his Arctic blue eyes. He stared out the window as he sat in his room at Garrett's house. He knows tomorrow won't be special.
Luna knocked on Luke's door. Luke hissed before she opened it.
"Luke…" Luna says as she sits with him.
"What?" Luke asked.
"You can talk to me." Luna says.
"I'm just worried about tomorrow…" Luke sighed.
"I'll try and make it perfect." Luna said.
With Lucy, they had just broken the piñata.
"Sniff, can I go to Grandma Harriet now?" Lucy sniffed.
"Lukey made your favorite cake…" Chalice says.
Lucy looked for it and was stunned. She saw the death by chocolate cake that Luke made. She had to smile at this.
Everyone began to sing to her. She then thought of her wish. She was about to blow her candle out, but she felt a hand on the back of her head and got shoved into the cake.
She looked up to see Bertrand looking disappointed, then memories flooded her head, like him teaching her a spell to mind control a town and telling her she needed to beat Luke. Lucy teared up and ran.
"Bertrand, what was that for?" Haiku asked.
"A reminder. She's a goth. Not a party girl." He says. At that, Cuphead punched him in the face hard enough to knock him out and potentially knock him into a coma. Mugman threw Bertrand out and had him put in juvenile hall once he got back to Royal Woods.
Lola cut herself a slice. "Hey, this is really good." Lola says.
"Yeah, I can even taste a skull." Lana says as Lucy liked decorating her things that way and Lola looked freaked out by that.
Lynn got angry because Lucy was supposed to have the first taste of her cake. Lynn was sick and tired of Lucy's happy times being ruined. Lynn went after Lucy.
Lincoln had already begun looking for Lucy. She really didn't want to be found. He decided to check Garrett's place.
"She's not here, dude." Luna says. "But Luke is mad at everyone and everything right now. He's left the house. He's not here."
"And why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be looking for him?" Lincoln asked.
"I'm the main one he's mad at." Luna says.
With Luke, he ran far away. He found Lucy crying and held her.
"I'll never celebrate again…" Lucy sobbed.
"Hey, cheer up…" Luke says, holding the other cake he made. He had made a second cake to look just like the original one.
She sniffed as Luke lit the candle. And to make sure this moment didn't get ruined, he had a wall built out of ice.
"Make a wish, Luce-Luce." Luke says.
"I hope that tomorrow will go well for you." Lucy sniffed and blew the candle out. Luke smiled and fed her some of the cake.
Later, Luke laid in bed, tears filling his eyes. There was a knock on the door.
Lucy slipped a gift in his room. It was tickets to a waterpark. Luke sniffed.
Lucy noticed the twins and Lisa watching TV and sighed, heading to bed since she couldn't watch her marathon.
