*The next day, Breezie, wearing her red dress, Fiona, & Mindy were in the parlor, about to begin their weekly music lesson. *Ivo was sitting on a nearby couch, covering his ears. He then grabbed a pillow & used it to cover his ears*

*Having had enough, Ivo left the room, closing the door behind him. He then heard the same song Fiona was singing, but it sounded more beautiful. He looked down the stairs & saw Abigail scrubbing the floor in the main foyer, singing as she worked*

*Ivo went down the stairs, but stopped at the bottom step. He looked to his right & saw a dust pan, full of dust, next to him. He put a paw in the dust & then turned to Abigail with a evil grin*

Abigail: Oh, oh, Ivo! *Ivo had used the dust from the dust pan to make paw prints all over the floor* You mean old thing! *she threw down her rag & stood up. Ivo hopped away, making more paw prints* I'm just going to have to teach you a lesson!
*She picked up a broom & was about to chase him, but stopped when she heard a knock at the door. Outside, an aqua male nutria with green eyes, white skin, braces on his buck tooth, wearing a red coat, a green vest over a blue cravat, orange pants, black shoes with gold buckles & a large sack full of envelopes over his shoulder*
Dave: Open in the name of the King! *he pulled an envelope as Abigail opened the door* An urgent message from their imperial Majesties.
*Abigail took the envelope*
Abigail: Thank you.
*Sonic & Tails came up to her as she closed the door*
Sonic: From the King. What does it say, Abby?
Tails: Yeah, what does it say?
Abigail: I don't know. He said it's urgent. *upstairs, they could hear Fiona singing. Sonic & Tails covered their ears. Abigail started to go upstairs* Maybe I should interrupt the, uh . . . *a grin grew on her face* Music lesson.
Sonic & Tails chuckled & then followed her upstairs*

*Just then, Mindy got her finger stuck in one of the holes in the flute. She hit Fiona in the throat as she tried to get her finger out of the hole*

*Mindy took the flute back & hit Fiona on the head*

Mindy: It's her fault, Mother!
Breezie: Above all, self control. *the girls stuck their tongues out at each other. Breezie was about to play the piano, when suddenly there was a knock at the door. she banged the keys & turned to the door angrily* Yes! *Abigail entered the room* CinderAbby! Abigail: But this just arrived from the palace -
Fiona & Mindy: From the palace! *they both ran to her, grabbed the invitation, & started fighting over it*
Fiona: Give it here!
Mindy: Let me have it!
Fiona: No, it's mine!

Fiona: You give that back!
*Breezie took it*
Breezie: I'll read it. *as she read the letter, Sonic & Tails entered the room through a mouse hole* There's to be a ball at the palace next month.
Fiona & Mindy: A ball!?
Breezie: In honor of his Highness, the Prince!
Fiona & Mindy: Ooh, the Prince!
Breezie: And by Royal Command, every eligible maiden is to attend!
Fiona: Why that's us!
Mindy: And I'm so eligible.
*Sonic & Tails laughed at them*
Abigail: Why, that means I can go too!
Fiona: Ha! Her. Dancing with the Prince!?
*Sonic & Tails glared at her as she laughed. Mindy started mimicking Abigail*
Mindy: "I'd be honored, Your Highness. Would you mind holding my broom?"
*The two sisters danced together & laughed*
Abigail: Well, why not? *they stopped dancing & turned to her* After all, I'm still a member of the family. *Sonic & Tails silently cheered for her* And it says "By Royal Command, every eligible maiden is to attend."
Breezie: Yes, so it does. Well, I see no reason why you can't go. *Fiona & Mindy were shocked by what they just heard* "If" you get all your work done.
Abigail: Oh, I will! I promise!
*She headed towards the door, but stopped when Breezie continued*
Breezie: And "If" you can find something suitable to wear.
Abigail: I'm sure I can. Oh, thank you, Stepmother!
*She left the room, followed by Sonic & Tails. Fiona & Mindy went up to Breezie*
Fiona: Mother! Do you realize what you just said!?
Breezie: Of course. I said "If."
Fiona: Oh. "If."
*All three of them snickered*
