Chapter One
It is a normal winter day for Quinn Fabrey in her New York home. The snow is falling outside, and the fire place is producing heat all through out the house. She is sitting at the kitchen table finishing her last files from work for the week, with candles lit in the kitchen making the house smell of warm ginger bread cookies.
You see, Five years ago after Quinns class graduated from McKinley High. She decided to go to New Haven to attend college at Yale. She studied business and Law which lead to her being a lawyer.
Quinn decided after graduating from Yale, that it was her calling to move to New York City, for many reasons. One was because it was known for business and law, and that's where she wanted to get her career started. Second, her best friend Rachel Was on broadway as well as Rachel's mom Shelby.
Two years ago, Shelby and Rachel re kindled there relationship and decided to audition for a show together. Once they got the roles, they both moved to New York meaning, that's where Beth was. If it wasn't for rachel inviting Quinn to the celebration party Quinn would never have seen Beth again.
Shelby felt that after many years of not seeing Rachel, It would be horrible to not let a child see their biological parents. So, on holidays Shelby would let Beth go and stay with Quinn in New Haven. But Quinn didn't feel like it was enough so, she moved to New York to be closer.
It started out with Quinn Getting to have Beth every weekend. They would go see shows together, watch movies in the movie room, and go to amusement parks. But after a few months Shelby only allowed Quinn to see Beth every other weekend. At first it bummed her out but she was okay with it. That was until she found out why.
One weekend when Beth came rushing through the door she exclaimed that " I got to stay with daddy last weekend!" Quinn had to stop what she was doing and think. Had shelby got in a new relationship? "Daddy?", " Yeah! He had been in the Air Force, and he got sent home from a injury so he decided to move close to all of us!" Yup, she was definitely talking about non other than Noah Puckerman.

Quinn had just finished all of her files for the week so, she decided to lay on the couch and read one of her favorite books, Little Women. It was the day before her birthday. She always loved her birthday falling on the weekends because she wouldn't have to work or worry about being called in to help out.
She was excited to have Beth on her birthday because she couldn't think of a better way of spending it than hanging out with her daughter, building snow men and drinking hot coco all day. That's one of the ups about having a winter birthday. But sadly, it was Pucks week with Beth. So, she decided she would spend her birthday sleeping in watching movies and possibly go out to eat with rachel at the end of the day. Not her ideal Birthday but it would do.
After reading a few chapters from her book she decided to call Rachel before her show started. "Hey Quinn what's up?", " Hey, I was just calling to see how you were doing before your show starts.", " Well, I'm getting my costume on and about to go see how the crowd looks tonight. How about you, are you excited for your 23rd birthday tomorrow!" Rachel screamed into the phone sing songingly. " Eh, just gonna be like a normal day, I would have loved it for Beth to be here this weekend tho.", "Quinn I told you all you had to do was ask Puck if you could have Beth this weekend.", "Its not that easy Rach, you know I haven't talked to him since High school Graduation.", " I know Quinn, anyway I'm sorry to hang up but show starts in five so I'll talk at you later.", "Bye Rach, good luck."
Quinn didn't know what else to do with her time so she decided she was going to go upstairs and take a nap. That was until there was a knock at the door.
"Who in their right mind, would be knocking at my door at 6:30 in the evening on a damn snowy friday?" Quinn thought as she threw her book on the side table and walked to the door. When she opened it, a little girl ran into her arms with Red tulips and a gift bag. " Oh my gosh, Beth! Who brought you here, isn't mama shelby at work?", "Yeah she is, Daddy brought me!" Quinn raised her eyebrow and opened the front door more to see Noah Puckerman standing on her porch.
"Noah?" Quinn said in shock. "Hello to you too Quinn." Puck said with a smirk on his face, the same smirk she remembered all to well from thier High school years. "Wh...What are you doing here?", "Mama, I needed to bring you your Birthday present, but mama Shelby said I would have to wait tell next week to get it. So daddy brought me to the store to get you a gift!", " Did he now?" Quinn said looking back up at Puck. "Come on Mama lets go open your present! Also I know tomorrow is your real birthday but daddy said it might be too snowy yo get out tomorrow." Beth said running to the kitchen. Quinn opened the door wider to invite Puck in. " I suppose you can come in.", " I thought you would never ask, Its freezing out here!" Quinn just rolled her eyes in reply and they followed the excited little girl to the kitchen.

"Here are your flowers, they are Red something I don't remember what daddy called them.", "They are called Tulips B-rex." Puck replied standing next to the oven. " I love them Beth!", " Daddy told me to get them because they were your favorite!", "Is that right." Quinn said glancing up at Puck. " Hurry, open the bag!" Quinn laughed at the little girl, and opened the gift bag to see a card, a book, and a small box."
"I picked out the book and the card all by myself!" The little girl said proudly. The card was pink with sparkles that read Happy Birthday on the front, and the book was called trolls holiday. Quinn just laughed knowing the book was more for Beth and wanted Quinn to read it to her but she still loved it. " Daddy and me picked out what's in the box together." Quinn picked up the box and opened it to see two sparkly diamond cross ear rings. She didn't mean for the gasp to come out of her mouth but the ear rings were just absolutely beautiful.
"Thank you dear, I love my gifts! But you didn't have to get me anything." Quinn said as she gave Beth a big hug and picked her up giving her kisses all over her face. " Mama I'm almost 7, you don't got to pick me up!", Fine, i'll put you down then."," Let me see your book mama, i'll go put them with my other books. I mean.. Our other books. " Beth ran up the stairs leaving Quinn and Puck alone on the kitchen together.
They stood in awkward silence tell Quinn broke the silence. " You didn't have to bring her, but thank you Noah.", " She threatened to bite my ear off, so I kinda had too, But you're welcome." Puck said with a genuine smile. "Quinn I um I'm sorr-"," Don't." She just looked at him. He had grown out his stupid mohawk and now had a head full of hair. He was so much more muscular than he used to be. She could see his abs through his tight fitted black long sleeved shirt, and he now had a little scrubble where he hadn't shaved. She looked away, before he could notice but he was already smirking. "You look very pretty Quinn, I always thought you were as pretty as it gets, but I think your even prettier than before." Quinn began to blush and tried to hide her face. Before she could respond Beth came running down the stairs.

"Mama can we please watch a movie!?" Before Quinn could reply to Beth, Puck spoke up. " Hey b-rex, We should probably let your mama go back to what she was doing before we arrived. I remember someone saying on the way here how they were ready for a nap."," Daddy that was you. Please mama can we stay and watch a movie, pleaseeee!?" Quinn looked at the little girl in front of her with puppy dog eyes then looked up at Puck, who was looking down at his feet. " Of course we can watch a movie! Go upstairs to the movie room and pic the movie you want us all to watch."
The small, blond curly headed girl ran past pushing both her parents out of her way, and went straight up the stairs with the biggest smile on her face. " I'm sorry did you say you have a movie room?" Quinn laughed walking up the stairs with Puck following her. " Me and Beth love to watch movies, and I needed somthing to fill up the spare bedroom."
They walked in to see Beth putting moana on the projector. "B-rex is moana your favorite movie or something, because didnt we watch it like four times when you were last at my house?", "Daddy we watched twice. Don't be so dramatic." The little girl said with an eye roll. "You see that. That right there is your child." Puck said gesturing between Quinn and Beth. " Daddy would you just hush and watch the movie."
Beth had sat in the middle between Puck and Quinn. They had only made it to "How far I'll go", when Beth had her legs on pucks lap and her head on Quinns lap snoring away. "Now this right here, is your child. She snores louder than a pig." Quinn said running her hand through Beths curly hair. " Oh please Quinn, I could hear your snorring over seas.", "Oh don't be so dramatic sir captain Puckerman." Quinn said woth a playful eye roll.
By the time the movie had ended they were all asleep. They had been alseep for a little over 3 hours when Quinns alarm went off to remind her, she had to do laundry. She woke up to the suprise of, Beth and her own legs laying across Pucks lap. While puck had his head laying back on the cushion. Snorring as loud as Beth. She let out a small laugh and went down stairs to go start her laundry, but when she passed the window in the living room so was met with a suprise.
The roads were absolutely coverd with snow. She quickly ran upstairs to wake up puck. quietly she whispered to Puck. "Noah. Noah, wake up." Still no response. "Puckerman wake the fuck up!" she said a little louder, with a responce of Puck standing up quickly on his feet. " Woah, at ease soldier." She said with a small laugh. "God, you're a bitch." He said throwing a pillow at her. "Noah, the roads are absolutely coverd.", "Damn it, Why did you let me fall asleep!","Like it's my fault, I dont even remeber falling asleep." Quinn said following puck down to the front door.
Puck walked back into the house taking his snowy coat and shoes off rubbing his hand together from the cold outside. "Yeah, there is at least a foot of snow out there, at least." Puck said walking to Quinn in the Kitchen. "There is no way, I'm letting you drive home with Beth in the car with you." Quinn said making a glass of water. "There is no way in hell, I'm even driving in this! I'll just sleep in my car or something", " Don't be a fucking idiot, Puckerman! You can sleep on the couch." Puck looked up at Quinn suprised. "You're gonna let me stay?"," I don't have much of choice now do I." Quinn said in a aggravated voice. " Noah, we might not be on good terms but I'm not gonna let you freeze or die out there." , " Aww, You care about meee!" puck said like a little kid. "Fuck off, and go wake your daughter up."
