SYMPHONY OF LIFE'S LIGHT

Present day, nine months after the godly destruction event.

Hoshi Arena Tokyo Three

You can hear the roar of the track, the huge big wheels as they smash the earth on the runs around, the huge dust clouds and the pulsing sound made by the supped up power cores that are overclocked to the max. It's nice to be back here again though this is my fourth time back under VIP pass, but it's nice to look over the engines, and people like looking over my Trident X309 which is parked up on display, in the display area so everyone can look at it along with Rei's motorbike.

It's also interesting to look over the engines and see the new things. The mechanics are working on this huge area, it can also change its tracks to a racing track. The huge racing track could be switched to general racing or raised for Nascar or Formula One. It could also be raised and lowered in certain areas for stunt racing to create hills to jump over and dips. It will be some hours before it changes, as the stunt cars, big wheels and motorbikes need to finish racing.

I'm currently looking over the Excelsior power core which is a new type of core and is coloured glowing purple and not green which is being used in Formula One cars. It's not ready yet for motorbikes. One day it might and I'd love to try it out in mine but I'll wait my turn and wait till it's out in general public as I don't believe in skipping lines when it comes to safety as it should be safe for everyone.

Hayden is also here. I ensured he had a VIP pass to everything, as I know he likes all this as much as I do, plus he enjoys being the Nerv liaison as people want to talk to him about the Evangelion's and working in the bays. Also, I owe him this since I stole his VIP pass to this place once and it was just get the timing right so he could be here the full day and take a day off from the bays and checking the new armour on all the Evangelion's as it has had a few teething problems.

"Excuse me Asuka, but can we have your autograph?"

Asuka turned, seeing a new few Formula One drivers behind her. An Italian man and a British woman, both from the top league. Marco, who was a forma four times cup winner; and Charlotte, who was an upcoming winner who had won one world championship. She looked up slightly. "Sure." Marco gave her a smile. "We missed you last time you were here." He looked around. "Where is Rei Ayanami, your beautiful other half?"

Asuka smirked as she carefully signed the new Nerv photography books before handing them back. "Oh, she is looking over the motorbikes in the opposite bay, the ones that are racing tomorrow." Marco leaned over. "I will pop in to say hello, then." He paused lowering his voice to a whisper. "Aurora Moreau from Nascar is here, and floating around the bay as her car is outside this bay and she's coming this way. I was told to pass that on to you by your friend Hayden from Nerv, who is also here as a VIP and up in the celebrity lounge, since you both don't get on."

Asuka breathed in deeply. It was going to happen in the end. She had just been avoiding it on her other visits here, but her asshole ex was just going to run in to her in the end. She still hated that she'd sold her out to the papers years ago, and told everyone how scheisse she'd been in bed, plus she had been against her when she had been accused by Hikari. In fact, she had made efforts to make sure she wasn't welcome in this place.

She looked up slightly. Maybe she'd changed. People could change, she knew that better than anyone. She adjusted her leather jacket. She never wore her eye patch anymore, she was past caring and felt more comfortable with her left eye these days. It felt more part of her now and not some weird outside thing that she had been subconscious of, but now not so much. In these past nine months she'd gotten way more comfortable in her own skin, though the others had really helped her along the way.

She smiled inwardly. Rei, in her own very special way. The joint therapy sessions also helped but they had both needed them to clear the air after what had happened. She moved out into the light of the sun, outside the garage bays, watching as the huge big wheels crashed, their lights flashing in the distance as the crowds cheered with a thunder-like roar that you could feel rising up like storm and pounding on your heart.

She smiled as two of them smashed, causing a spark of green from the core, only to carry on as it was heavily shielded and would fire out of the end if it got cracked for safety and lock itself with a special shell to stop an explosion. She felt a hand on her arm, she turned to see Rei standing opposite, smiling. "Ah, there you are. Marcos and Charlotte from Formula One are looking for you, they want your autograph."

Rei eyed the other woman who was only taller than her by an inch, seeing that the man and woman had spotted her and were moving over. "I'll be right back, give me to seconds." Asuka watched as she moved over, her long light brown hair tied up in a ponytail as she went over to them, chatting away. She smiled, looking at her. She was as beautiful as ever and a joy to be around.

"Well look who it is! It's the demonic red head shit bag who nearly destroyed the earth!"

Asuka turned sharply, seeing Aurora leaning against one of the cars in the bay as the other drivers and mechanics looked up in an uncertain manner. She turned to the big muscled woman who had clearly had too much steroids in her milkshakes to the point that it was clearly screwing with her brain, since she wasn't working out naturally or at least that was the rumour she'd heard. "Go away Aurora… I'm verfickte busy."

Aurora moved forward, eyeing the red head, who was about the same height as her. "Oh, is this the best you cancome out with? It has been years, I was expecting more fire from you, Asuka." Asuka eyed her. "I wouldn't waste my efforts on you, not after what you did." Aurora put a hand on the red head's leather jacket, squeezing her shoulder slightly. "It's not my fault you suck when it comes to using double dildo's. You know the world deserved to know."

Asuka eased her hand up, taking her hand, forcing it off firmly. "No, you just wanted the million pay out from the papers worldwide, don't deny it. You've always been shallow, it's why I used to relate to you." Aurora eyed Rei. "I see you got yourself a piece of ass, a fine ass I see." Asuka watched as Rei turned to look at them. She slowly put her hand on Aurora's collar as she turned giving her ex a wide toothy grin. "Aurora, how about we not go down this road?"

Aurora eyed her. "If you haven't noticed I'm way fitter than you now, Asuka. You couldn't beat me in a fight." She leaned over, making sure her voice was louder. "So, did you do the same thing to her that you did to Hikari in bed?" Asuka didn't think, the action was automatic as she grabbed Aurora, swinging her around before she could react only to smash her in to one of the racing cars bonnet's holding her down feeling her teeth turn to razor sharp points, enjoying the horrified struggling as the other woman tried to break out the iron grip but couldn't.

She eyed the two mechanics opposite as she eyed the car's number on the doors. "Is this her scheisse car? Cause it looks like her car, she always likes to have the sixty-nine symbols because it's a sexual reference and gives her some feeling of sexually importance." She watched as they nodded before backing away. "That's good cause I have no guilty about doing this, then." She put her foot on the front tire, pressing down, hearing the whole car creak as she yanked the woman on the bonnet forward so she was closer to her face.

She leaned closer so her so razor sharp teeth were in her line of sight to the other woman's face as she felt her left eye ignite followed by her right. "What we're you saying, Aurora? Would you like to repeat it, so everyone can hear you this time?" She watched as the other woman shook her head in utter panic. "No new words of wisdom on my girlfriend?" She shrugged, speaking calmly. "Oh well, I got one for you. You should be more polite towards my girlfriend." She didn't think as she roared in her face hearing, the tiger sound echoing through the air.

She felt her strength kick in as she moved her foot behind the exposed front tire, pressing down hard only to hear the hard crack as the whole front suspension broke. She let go off the woman's collar, watching her stumble back, falling off her car only to hit the floor hard, with a look of utter terror on her face. She stepped forward, eyeing her as she leaned forward, smiling with her razor sharp teeth. "Let not have this conversation ever again."

Asuka watched as Aurora stumbled then started running. She turned to the mechanics as her teeth returned to normal and the heat left her eyes. "Please give me your billing address. I'll refund your company as my issue was with her, not them." The first mechanic eyed her as he moved forward. "To be fair, we don't like her, so thanks for breaking her car, she needed taking down a peg or two, as she's an utter asshole to everyone."

Asuka eyed the damaged car which had been easier to break as part of its front was off near the wheels. "Guess she'll have to make up her points in tomorrow week's run." Rei moved towards Asuka though she didn't look unhappy or mad, in fact she had a very knowing smile. "Thank you, Asuka. You know how much I hate it when people are rude towards us." Asuka breathed in sadly. "I just knew this was going to happen. I had been avoiding it for so long."

Rei shook her head. "You said she wouldn't be nice, I heard what she said." Asuka raised her hands. "True, I just thought maybe the end of the world might change her perspective, but some people have just carried on behaving like scheisse." She looked up, seeing Marcos and Charlotte coming forward. Marcos was first to speak. "Woman had it coming, everyone hates her currently, she's going through her ego phase as she keeps winning."

Asuka shook her head sadly. "Guess she didn't learn the saying there is always a bigger fish out there." Charlotte put her hand up. "You should both come with us and get some lunch up in the lounge." She eyed the damaged car. "Because that was so worth seeing, if you don't mind me saying so..." Rei turned eyeing her girlfriend. "We should go, the food is really nice or so Hayden tells me." Asuka gave her a wide smile. "Sure then, I'd be happy to go." She leaned over giving her a gentle kiss. "I've heard the food is good."

Maya breathed as she eyed Mari who was heavily sedated on the science lab table all the pilots had. They had this done for the last set of test for the spine worms, which had not been successful; but this was a new set of tests. She hated that she couldn't tell the pilots why they were doing any of this. It just felt worse, she and Mari were together now, it felt like crappy every time she had to say it was just general testing due to them researching the primal state "How long will this take?"

Vitor breathed in, moving the device slowly down Mari's spine, watching as the worm came up in screen as he put five sensors on her spine. "Two hours, maybe more." He breathed in deeply. "So far, no language we've tried has worked. These things have to be as intelligence as Bardiel was but getting a voice from them it's hard. We've seen them twitch but they don't respond."

Chilam eyed the hologram opposite. "If we could just talk to them maybe we could learn more about Adam's race." Maya leaned against the door of the closed off lab. "What are we trying now?" Chilam moved her hand stroking one of her mini mass Eva's chins as they were all watching from their perch, along with Vitor's budgie. "Sound waves, like music. Only issue is we have to test the range on every pilot since language was a bust and we tried every language spoken by humans."

Vitor breathed in typing into the holographic screen as he got the music files ready. "She's first to be tested on with this, then Asuka. Since they're step sisters it's always better to do one after the other. Then Shinji and Rei one after the other as they're brother and sister, keeps them from arguing over who got first go ." Maya breathed in deeply. "Asuka and Mari, the arguing isn't that bad they just rib each other at times. Shinji and Rei hardly ever argue."

She eyed the mini Evangelions. "But getting Asuka done next might be for the better. She doesn't like your pets much, only Vitor's budgie." Chilam slowly started working on her notes. "Funny, because my babies really like her, they like her more than any other pilot. They want to sit on her head and shoulders and everything, they won't even steal her food." She shrugged. "I heard animals really like her so I can only assume it's that."

Maya moved over to Mari using her hand to pull her loose dark brown hair back. She had an oxygen mask on, just in case anything went wrong. She gently kissed her face. "Sleep well, this should be over quickly, and I'll have to drive you home either to your apartment or mine." She moved back. She didn't like these tests, they made her anxious but they had to be done regardless of her feelings.

Vitor eyed his long-time friend. "Okay ready to start low level music." Chilam stood up. "Okay setting the sensors now." Vitor looked at her. "Running music tests now." He pressed the holographic buttons. The music started to play, first it would play single notes, then go to full songs, then go different types. "I guess this is the point where we wait and see what happens….if anything happens."

Ritsuko eased her glasses on as she carried on reading the digital paper in her office, where Gendo was not present currently as he was down in the void talking with Dante. She relaxed back in her chair, turning the page of her digital book, seeing the huge cat tree on the left where both her two cats were sleeping. She had a white Scottish fold called Tama and a Blue Russian called Kai, who she had gotten from the cat sanctuary in Tokyo Three.

Gendo had been unsure about them at first, but he was starting to get used to them as their office had a bed and eating area in the back room and they both worked long hours. The cats could go in to the other rooms out of sight and treated this like their second home. Although Nerv was almost fixed since the last great battle, there were still a lot of people worldwide mad at them both for hiding a weapon on Eos space station, a lot of them wanted them both to step down.

They had to go to court under UN law at some point and mark their case and reasons for doing it, it was going to be a long and difficult road. It was not taking place instantly due to other world events like the second island rising up and people coming back and humans trying to get in to the new huge temple that belonged to Dante's people and Lilith. So far, nothing had worked and Dante had said to let it play out this way as it gave them more time, before the truth of gods became clear.

People at the moment were so busy arguing over the idea of Asuka and Rei being gods that they just weren't focused on the idea of demi gods or who owned the temple. The people were deeply unhappy with their new alliance with Cerberus. Mana was someone she still didn't understand and found strange as a person, but she had done her best to remain civil as the woman and her demi god lover had not done any attacks since, and their two new air ships were now patrolling the world while the main one still remained over Tokyo Three as an ever present guardian.

She had also been trying her best to be better with people and nicer, she knew the employees had not come around yet nether had the Evangelion bay crew. The special ops had slightly and Maya was still very stand-off with her but more civil. Misato, on the other hand, had not and was still angry towards her while Kaji had drawn a line in the sand and was civil. She couldn't blame them for feeling this way, she'd really hurt them in the past and betrayed them and kept too many secrets.

The one person though who she got on well with and who she had struck a real friendship with was the one person who she had hurt the most but who had been really open to helping her: Asuka, the person who had saved her life and who she had hated for years. The red head had helped her pick out cats, was always happy to talk to her and share cat photos, telling her the best news toys.

Rei was still civil and polite but stand off from her, clearly because of her father, and the whole situation was just confusing to Misato, while Maya was fine with it as she'd been friends with Asuka for years and just saw as her being her best self. As she was overall a much more relaxed person, she seemed more whole as a person since the incident and less bad tempered yes she had her moments but in general they were at people who deserved it.

She looked up as a knock came on her door. "Come in." She watched as the guards opened the door as Asuka walked in slowly. "Ah you got my message." Asuka adjusted her jacket walking up to the cat tree giving both cats strokes on the head as she smiled. "Yes I did." Ritsuko put her digital book down as she swiped up footage from the race. "Someone recorded you breaking a Nascar driver's suspension and roaring in the drivers face. They apparently wet themselves."

She raised her hand as Asuka turned to her uncertainty in her face. "I'm not mad, you're not being told off, I just wondered why, since you know Misato will not be happy when she sees this. I'm trying to prevent any incident." Asuka breathed in deeply. "That's an ex of mine and she inferred that I was doing the same thing to Rei that I did to Hikari, even though I never did that and was proven innocent. I was trying to teach her better manners. I said I'd pay her manager for the damage on her car suspension."

Ritsuko eyed the footage. "I see, as most of the stories were positive towards you I just wanted your view so I could send Misato away before she gets mad." She paused. "Plus, these incidents are so rare with you these days and there is normally a good reason for them." Asuka eased her hand in side her jacket pulling out a batch of cat play balls putting them on the other woman's desk. "Something for your cats, Tama and Kai."

Ritsuko sat up slightly, giving her a smile as she picked them up. "Thank you Asuka, I hope your cat Erika is well." Asuka slowly sat down in the chair opposite. "She's fine just doing what she does best and living her best life." Ritsuko moved the footage off screen. "Are things with Rei okay?" Asuka nodded. "Yes, I hope you and your husband are well." Ritsuko typed something in to a form flipping it off screen. "Better. The stubborn bastard is learning he still has a way to go."

Asuka settled back in the leather chair. "Change can be slow and painful, I know from experience." Ritsuko moved picking up some gold and silver cards passing them to her. "These are yours for the week, they're your celebrity appearance passes for the next three weeks. Zoos, hotels, and Opera." Asuka pulled up the gold card. "Opera?" Ritsuko eased of her glasses. "Try it. Rei might enjoy it. You have a new suit you can dress up nice."

Asuka looked up about to speak only for the double doors to slam open as Misato came rushing in which caused one of the cats to hiss in surprise as she spoke aloud. "We have a problem with Asuka!" Misato turned, realizing too late that Asuka was seated there, her face turning to unimpressed. Ritsuko eased back on her glasses. "It wasn't a problem and it's been resolved, and please stop slamming in here. You're scaring Kai, he's a rescue who hates loud noises."

Misato lowered her electronic pad looking at them both. "Oh…" Asuka turned in her chair. "Let me break it down for you and be helpful: that was my ex who sold me out to the paper for being scheisse in bed, she insulted me over ending the world and asked if I treated Rei like I treated Hikari." She felt a wide toothy grin form. "So I corrected her behaviour, the car's already been paid for and I told her manager in the celebrity lunch lounge that it wasn't against his company or brand, only her, because we have history together and don't get on."

Misato breathed in deeply. "Okay but you could have come to me first and not here to be told off." Ritsuko looked up slightly. "I brought her here to give her her weekly VIP cards, and to ask what had happened. I was not telling her off in any way." Asuka turned, flipping through the cards. "Yes, today was my last day at Hoshi Arena as Toji is meant to go there next and he's bringing Sakura and Sumire along. I don't go back again till Christmas this year and that's with Mari."

Misato eyed her. "You know, I'm meant to give you your cards at lunch tomorrow. You know, when you come around." Asuka eyed her. "I wanted to say hello to Ritsuko's cats, she gave me the cards." Misato folded her arms eyeing Asuka. "Please tell me you did not use your left eye on your ex, because you know you've been told about that, and we know some people see you differently when you do that, ether as a something nice or as some demonic thing that makes them fear for their lives and all the ones you did it to won't tell me what they saw!"

Asuka breathed in deeply. "Look I only use that gift for truly verfickte scheisse people not for my pathetic ex-girlfriend who was being egotistic and rude." Ritsuko looked up slightly adjusting her glasses. "No that's not what was said. Dante is fine with her using it and Rei using her little gift too, as it keeps people from prodding Nerv and places they shouldn't go. It was agreed it was fine for anyone trying to bribe Asuka about being god and wanting more info."

She raised her digital book turning a page. "As they say, there are some rabbit holes you really don't want to go down. It stops them digging deeper. They either realize they don't have to and go away better people, or they see what the demonic thing is and run away in terror." Misato put her hand on Asuka's chair. "If you'd just draw for me what they're seeing I could make more sense of this, Asuka. It's not in any off your new art."

Asuka shook her head. "Yes, with good reason. No normal person should want to see what I show them. The people who ask are either misguided and think I'm a saint or are really evil and want power like Gabriella did." She paused. "Rei's gift works differently, she can see what's in their hearts, my gift reflects back to them what's in their souls… neither of our gifts are nice for people who are not good inside or are misguided."

She raised her hand getting out of the leather seat. "That's what we paid for being fallen gods, we have to bear these gifts as a consequence till we are old and grey." Ritsuko turned the page of her digital book. "I don't make the rules, Dante does and he believes supressing Asuka and Rei's power is pointless. With it there is a constant reminder of why you shouldn't mess with godly things beyond your comprehension like Ankh did and ended up dead."

She paused. "Asuka, you can go now, I just need to talk on something with Misato. Thank you for the cat toys." Asuka gave her smile as she walked past Misato. "I'll leave you both to it, I was going to get a snack with Rei anyway before going home." Misato watched as she left closing the double doors behind her as she turned back to Ritsuko. "You know, you're not helping…she has divine power."

Ritsuko took of her glasses. "No, I have seen her divine power, she saved me using it. I've seen her face as god, I know just what she is and how she uses her power and I believe she is mature enough to use it on others as is Rei, and you're not helping smashing in here, sayingAsuka is a problem." She breathed in easing out a digital folder. "This isn't about that, though. I need your team's help. Your specialized ones, Shoji and Leiko, your really impressive team; to help with an issue."

Misato eyed her. "Really? What for?" Ritsuko pushed the folders over to her. "Someone is killing Ankh, all the former members, stealing their vast wealth. I've had a number of reports come in in the last week. The governments tried to deal with it internally but they have found no leads." Misato picked up the files. "Why should we care? It's just Ankh. Are they not doing us a public service?"

Ritsuko breathed in pulling up a picture of a hotel room in Dubai. "It would be if not for the method…." Misato eyed the imagery in shock. "Fucking hell, that's really fucked up!" Ritsuko eyed the image. "Yes, that was my reaction as well, these bodies are not old or decayed these are half an hour old, and whoever it is struck Thailand last week, but with one huge difference this time the deaths were Ouroboros."

She breathed in. "The three bodies are being transported over, you can have Chilam and Vitor look them over since they are both excellent at dealing with weird alien shit, because there is no way a person did this. These bodies were stripped of clothing, guts, muscle flesh… blood is sprayed out like water against walls in some case, in a few others the persons insides are pulled out slowly till they died, the skeleton is left fully intact with tendons."

Misato eyed the image. "So they think there is an angel on earth?" Ritsuko nodded. "Yes, but it's clearly not the run of the mill angel, it's smart and has some form of agenda and likes to kill terrorists." She breathed. "It's not attacking Nerv yet but that's the concern. When this thing attacks people they never find how it got in or out, it leaves no bloody foot prints and we don't want it inside our walls."

Misato breathed in deeply. "Fine, I'll look in to it." She raised her hand. "This issue isn't over with Asuka, though." Ritsuko breathed in. "Take my advice, you don't want to go down this rabbit hole as you're damaging the progress your making with her and your obsession over this issue." She swiped the image of screen bringing up the image of the were-tiger face which had been recorded during the last battle in Nerv. "True divine gods reveal themselves to you, not the other way around."

Moon Base Hephaestus

"We are picking up something of Saturn with the Blade Runner X40!"

Caia moved over the huge room that was part of the big moon base colony, which was monitoring the galaxy with satellites, which the Mars lander had sent off before its destruction. A new one was just starting to build on the colony and its parts were being rocketed up to Eos but it was in the very early stages now. All the Mars Landers parts from the destroyed version were being looked over on the base in a huge hanger where the new one was being built opposite.

Caia eyed the screen. "What did the Blade Runner pick up?" She watched as the footage up as something super bright appeared off Saturn's rings floating over them at great speed before vanishing. "What the fuck was that?" The monitor shrugged. "No idea but its moving super-fast, I have programmed the other satellites to look out for it." Caia breathed in. "Keep track of it and send the footage to the base back in Africa, one to Eos and one to Nerv."

The monitor eyed her. "Should we really be sending anything to Nerv? Since they put a huge gun on Eos, they cannot be trusted." Caia eyed them. "Regardless of how we feel, alien goes to them. I don't like them anymore than you do, they're the reason I'm stuck here for nine more months before I can rotate back to Earth. Cause of that alien lance destroying the Mars Lander."

She eyed the footage closer of the strange white light which appeared to have huge wings on either side. "I just want this fucking war with these angels over, they fuck everything up for everyone in space and on Earth." She breathed in picking up her coffee. "Plus if it's not them, it's the terrorist groups fucking up earth and creating some huge demon and angel gods who treat earth like their playground."

End of part 2

Silvermoonlight

Formula One was mentioned in this as unlike other sports it is still very behind progression wise and it is very difficult for women to get in to the top branch. They remain stuck in Formula two/three currently, which makes no sense as no other racing sport suffers this currently. So this was meant a universe correction in this world.

Blade Runner is a reference to the 1982 film.
