Who's ready for Freddy this month? I'm still waiting for my local cinema to have tickets available, but I am super excited for the movie!
Saphira was back in the office after Bonnie had tended to the wounds on her body, and she was just writing some things down in a book. Mostly about what she had discovered at Afton's property, not really caring that the Freddles were watching. They clearly had done what they were told to do tonight. Saphira just wanted to relax. She also was wearing just a plain, black singlet and black pants instead of a regular security shirt. Mostly because there was not a clean shirt for her to wear, and the pizzeria didn't really have any washing machines. She didn't care though. She was still feeling a lot of pain, and she was left alone as the animatronics clean up the pizzeria and making sure that there was not a lot of damage done to the building itself.
Saphira was also just feeling very all over the place. She was writing the stuff down about what she had found at Afton's property as a means of not wanting to think about her emotions. She still felt awfully guilty about tonight. She knew her own actions led to a lot of what happened, and led to her being hurt and finding the hidden area in the Haunted Classroom. She honestly wanted to avoid going to even see what was there for a while as she feared what she would find there. Especially given what Fredbear has said about it.
She looked up to look at the glass by the office, somewhat wishing that one of the animatronics were there right now. She felt quite lonely at the moment, and she wanted to have company. She tapped her pen on the desk thoughtfully and she looked at the vent on the wall of the office. She was curious about the vents as the covers in some areas of the building were large enough for an animatronic to fit through. She knew that the animatronics had used the vents in the past with the previous night guards, but she was curious to know if there was something more in those vents.
But she has had enough of surprises for tonight. Saphira sighed as she threw the pen down and stood up from the chair with a groan. Her whole body ached as she got up from the chair and walked towards the door. She was lucky she did not have any serious injuries, and she was hoping the scratch on her face would not leave a horrible scar. She would definitely apply a lot gels to her wound to ensure it would heal quickly, but she wasn't thinking about that right now.
She made her way to the dining room and opened the door to peer into the room. She saw Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Mangle, Fredbear, Golden Bonnie, Springtrap and Phantom Freddy in the room. The Freddles had all been cleaned up, they were just making sure that the room looked completely normal when the employees come back. Saphira did wonder how they became so good at cleaning, but she guessed they knew that they had to be.
They all heard the door opening, making Saphira flinch when all of them look at her in surprise. "Um…uh…" Saphira began, placing her hand on her arm nervously and rubbing her arm before she spoke. "I kind of don't want to be alone…is it alright if one of you guys keep me company? I…I don't know if something else might happen again or not."
Springtrap immediately walked over to Saphira, taking the opportunity to not leave her alone. "You should have told me that when I took you back to the office, Saphira," Springtrap said with a smile as he grabbed the door to open it wider so he could walk through. "You have had a trying night, and it is understandable. The clean up of the pizzeria is almost done anyway. They don't need me." Some of the other animatronics roll their eyes at him, he ignored them as Saphira smiled at him and turned back to walk back to the office with Springtrap behind her. "I don't think he is going to send more Freddles, Saphira. I think he did what he did."
"And it wouldn't have happened if I didn't choose to go to Afton's property," Saphira said in a monotone voice. "I know you are not mad, but I am sure you are disappointed. And I am sorry."
Springtrap sighed a little as he listened to her. "Disappointment is not something that needs to be said, Saphira. I believe it is not necessary. What's done is done, Saphira. You need to stop repeating it. It is kind of getting a little annoying. Especially since you are not in any kind of trouble from us."
"Right…sorry…" Saphira rubbed her arm nervously a little more before she continued speaking. "But now we have more mysteries…especially since we uncovered the possible space that Fredbear had been talking about before. And I am dealing with the possibility of being forced to leave my home…" Saphira shook her head and turned to face Springtrap, stopping him in his tracks. "Look, I am sorry if I don't seem myself. I am stressing out over a lot. I will get my school results very shortly, but I am not excited about that anymore. Now I have to deal with potentially sleeping in my car, Afton stalking me outside the pizzeria, the attacks from the Freddles increasing and so on. And…you reiterated that you can't protect outside the pizzeria." Springtrap softened his expression as he desperately wanted to protect her outside of the pizzeria. "I don't know what to do, Springtrap. It…I turn eighteen next year…and…I guess I am just not sure how things are going to go."
"You'll probably end up here permanently." Saphira knew that. She had no doubt that was already planned. "And then there's those girls you are worried about, though it seems that it will be Hayley as the main concern…it is messed up." Springtrap was fully aware of that fact. "And even if you end up living here, I can't protect you during the day. I have to be out in the pizzeria entertaining humans. I wish it were simpler, but…like it or not, you are trapped." Saphira nodded as she agreed with that. "But you at least learned something about us, Saphira." She looked at him in surprise and he smiled. "As much as I think it was stupid to even go to his property, you did see what we look like without our…" Springtrap looked at his hands for a moment and shivered. "Oof…I can't quite imagine what I would look like without the metal coverings on."
"Well…I guess you're right." Saphira smiled at him as she thought about it. "I did see a lot more than just the animatronics that will probably be here at Halloween in a few weeks…I saw the organic materials used to make you. But I didn't see the process, I got an idea of it." Saphira shivered as she did knew she had plenty of evidence for that. "I could show it, but I am not sure if that would be a good idea."
"Probably not." Springtrap smirked as he agreed with her. He saw her smile fade and tears fill her eyes and he gently brushed a strand of her hair from her eyes. "It hurts me to see you like this, Saphira. If only we had stayed in contact in all of these years…things might be different." She shrugged and turned to make her way around to the office. "If I wasn't so angry…I am sorry I made your life miserable when you started working here. I just wish I could change everything, and that you would be happy."
Saphira chuckled a little as she walked into the office. "I guess you and I have a habit of apologizing to each other for things like that." He nodded in agreement as she stopped in the office and looked around. "But…I do admit that when I applied, I was excited. I thought that I could try and spend time with you guys…even though I had not realized you were alive yet. But I don't think a good start would have changed what is happening now, Springtrap. We are all trapped." She turned to face him with a worried expression. "And it worries me the most that Afton has waited for a female night guard. There's something he wants, and…I hope I am wrong about the assumption."
"Is it something he actually wants, or something he hopes to be proven as right?" Springtrap asked curiously and Saphira had to think on that. "Because a female night guard would not be treated differently to a male security guard. That's just a fact. We don't discriminate when it comes to our food."
Saphira pondered on that question before responding. "I think the right answer is both. I am not sure what he thinks will be right, but as for what he wants…I am making assumptions, but I am not sure if any of them are correct. I just am in a corner. And I don't think we should even try to open what might be hidden beneath stage in the Haunted Classroom. Not for a while."
"I have to agree. We were practically pushed into finding it, and Afton clearly wants you to find something there. I believe it is best that we stop trying to find hidden clues for a while. So no more sneaking around. That includes trying to sneak when new animatronics are brought in." She was amused by that, and she agreed with him. "Of course, we should still try and understand what exactly Afton wants, but I think we should just pull back and have a break. It is, honestly…hurting you a lot more than you realize. And I am sure you might know that subconsciously."
"I guess. But you might also be right. I think my perspective could be skewed. I will listen to your suggestion, Springtrap." She smiled at him and she placed her fingers on the wound on her face. "Do you really think that, even if I have a scar, that I would really be beautiful?"
"Of course. I know it might be hard to believe." She was still not sure and Springtrap sighed deeply. "You don't realize how beautiful you have become, Saphira. You used to be the most adorable girl when you were a child. Your eyes were always beautiful, but you were so cute. And now you have grown into a beautiful woman. You really should believe that." She blushed a little as she listened to Springtrap. "And your personality has not changed much, it has matured. To me, you are beautiful inside and out. You will not need make up, Saphira. Scars are just part of life."
Saphira did not know how to respond to Springtrap. He thought she was beautiful, and it made her feel very flattered. And she honestly did like hearing him tell her that. "Yes, we all have our own scars. It doesn't have to be physical scars, I guess." She shrugged a little and she glanced at the time to see it was just after four. "But we can support each other now. And even though my life here has been strange, I can't say I regret it." Springtrap was very happy to hear that. "Being here feels right, even if it also feels like a trap. I think I was hooked by this place long ago, and I don't think I would leave unless I had to."
Springtrap placed his hand on her shoulder gently as he listened to her. "Because you probably knew that deep down, we were your family. You just didn't realize it yet." She nodded and smiled at him. "Listen, if and when your parents decide to kick you out of their home, and if you are forced to stay here, I will do everything I can to protect you. And hopefully...things will improve. I care too much about you now to just let this slide. Not while Afton is still alive."
Saphira felt her heart flutter as she listened to him. Hearing his words really made her feel happy and sad at the same time. She knew the both of them wanted to say it, but she refuses to do it. Not while she feared this is what Afton wanted. But she was having a very hard time not giving into those feelings. "It almost seems like if Afton were to come back, you would try to do something to him." Springtrap nodded and she widened her eyes. "Oh, you were serious...I didn't realize. I...I would prefer it if you didn't confront him on your own at least. I could not bear losing you to him."
"I know. He would probably outsmart us, so I understand that. But that doesn't mean I am not serious. And we have no idea what he and Mike are conspiring together...though I think Afton does the conspiring, and Mike just does as he is told. But I can't be sure." Saphira believed that. Mike wasn't much of an instigator, but he sure did try to do things his own way. At least, it seemed that way. Springtrap sighed as he stepped closer to her, making her flinch and look at his silver eyes. "But no matter what, I will do my best to ensure that he does not hurt you again. I tried tonight, but I hope there won't be a next time."
Saphira stared at him. His warm breath was brushing against her skin, and she could feel the warmth of his body, and his unique scent. Saphira didn't know how to feel about being this close to him. "I know you will do your best." She stepped away from him and walked towards the bathroom door. "Give one moment. I need to use the toilet."
Springtrap did not say anything, nor did he try to stop Saphira from what she needed to do. Saphira closed the door behind her and she took deep breaths as she thought over everything that has happened so far. Aside from the overwhelming pressure against her, she was starting to really struggle with her own feelings. Saphira placed her hand on her chest as she thought deeply about it. She knew that she had been trying to not allow herself to fall further in love with Springtrap, but that hasn't worked.
I don't even know when I even fell in love with Springtrap. Maybe I kind of loved him as a kid…that is the only thing I can think of. And kids have crushes a lot too, maybe I had one. I don't actually remember correctly, but I do remember always feeling more excited to see Springtrap as a kid than I did any of the others. Maybe that attributed to it, I don't know.
Saphira has also realized that fighting herself from having those kinds of feelings seems to have done nothing. She still spends a lot of time with Springtrap, and he intends on spending time with her. He has shown that his priorities have changed too. Whenever trespassers enter the building, it seems his desire to kill them has honestly changed to the point he would rather keep Saphira hidden and safe than pursue a meal.
And tonight, he protected her as best as he could. Saphira couldn't ask him to do more for her. All the animatronics were busy with the Freddles, and the trespassers who had entered the building at the same time too. And the first thing he did when the Freddles went back into the vents, and some of the drains, he came to find her. And she clung to him in the first aid room while Bonnie tended to her injuries. She knew it was just digging deeper.
But Afton clearly wants something. I don't want to give it to him, even if it kills me.
Saphira closed the lid of the toilet to sit down, placing her hands on her head and running her fingers through her hair as she let tears fall from her eyes. She knew it was going to get harder if she was forced out of her parents' home and she had to live at the pizzeria. It was likely going to happen anyway, due to the renovations set to happen soon. Even though Saphira knew that there would be no renovations being done to the pizzeria itself, it was just a cover.
And then she would be around Springtrap all the time. And he wouldn't be confined to spending time with her during the night, they would have the day as well. Saphira couldn't help but wonder how Springtrap feels too. She was sure that he is also frustrated. She knew he was respecting her space and giving her the time she needed. But both of them knew that, deep down, that it was hard to ignore the feelings they clearly had for each other.
Springtrap reassured her that she would still be beautiful, even if she had scars on her body. She used to be an adorable child, and now she's grown into a young woman, and Springtrap has clearly seen the transformation. Saphira didn't even know if he was telling the truth, but she knew a part of her had to believe him. After all, Springtrap cared for her when she was a kid, and when he learned the truth behind the reason why she didn't return to the pizzeria ten years ago, his care for her continued to shine.
In fact, he wanted her to leave the pizzeria back when she started. He didn't want her to come back for a second week. He wanted her safe. He had been trying to scare her away from the pizzeria at the time, but Saphira refused. She stayed, and now there was no way out. But Saphira couldn't help but think that there was never a way out. She's had to look back to the past and think about things differently. Specifically, the accident that killed her brother. There was no suspect for who hit the car, and Springtrap was the one who planted that thought in her head. Especially since it seems as though Saphira had been targeted by Afton ever since she was a child.
I know Springtrap tried to kill me the first week I started…but…he wanted me to leave after he learned the truth. I think he has always cared about me, and while he had been hurt for so long, we found each other again. It is like a magnet pulled me back.
Saphira took a deep breath as she stood up and walked to the mirror, looking at herself as she stared at the mirror. She could see the scratch across her face, and she still did not understand how Springtrap could look at her and say she was still beautiful. But given that most humans often question people about scaring on their bodies and ask why they aren't covered up and such, Saphira could not help but actually smile. She knew that scars shouldn't take away the attraction to someone's body.
I mean, I remember playing the Witcher and thinking Geralt was still hot, despite him being covered in scars. Maybe I should believe Springtrap and stop doubting myself.
Saphira's self esteem wasn't high, so it was normal for her to feel extremely down and uncertain about it. The wound on her face was really getting her down, but she would try to look past it. Especially if the animatronics could, and the fact they still called her beautiful made her heart fill with joy. Toy Bonnie had her wear the dresses from the store in the Toy Plaza, and she realized she was indeed beautiful. Saphira hasn't done that since then, but the animatronics have reminded her, or told her, that she was beautiful.
Springtrap often took the opportunity to move her hair from her face, and Saphira guessed he liked the feel on her hair. Saphira did take very good care of it, as it was always soft, shiny and bouncy. Saphira smiled to herself as she stared at the mirror before she thought about what other hairstyles she could try with her hair. She thought about braids, curls and so on. She blushed as she realized they would look good since she had very long hair. But her smile faded a little as she thought about Afton.
I hate that I am forcing myself to ignore my feelings. I love Springtrap. I know we have had a rocky start since I came back. But I love him. I love him so much that it hurts. It hurts that I have to push it aside to try and keep us both safe. And it is getting harder to ignore. And yet, I often wonder if there is something else Afton wants. What if our relationship isn't what he's after? This makes this so much harder.
Saphira jumped as she heard the sound of the fax machine and she could not help but groan. She clenched her hands tightly and opened the door, spotting Springtrap as he was watching the fax machine with a frown. "Now what?" She complained as she stepped out of the bathroom. "I have had enough tonight. He can't just leave me alone, can he?"
"Seems that way." Springtrap looked at her with a curious expression. Springtrap knew she didn't use the toilet, but rather the time to think. He could hear her racing heart and knew she was thinking about things. He sighed deeply as he pondered on what to say. "Just remember, Saphira, I will always care for you." She looked at him in surprise before blushing and looking away from him. "Because you cared for me first when you were small, I will always care for you." She closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. Springtrap placed his hand on her shoulder gently, and he felt her flinching before he looked at the fax machine. He sighed and grabbed the paper. "Afton clearly has something else to say." Saphira looked at the paper as she agreed. She leaned a little to see what was written on it.
'It seems it is quite a coincidence. Behind doors, behind vent covers and walls, there are secrets that are kept here. Are all the vents the same? Are all the doors the same? Pick one, open them and see what is hiding behind them. You will find the accommodations to be very pleasant. Your first prize is hidden behind one of these doors, walls and vents. How exciting!
The dice has been rolled. Time to make your move soon when the pumpkins are carved.'
Saphira stared at the paper and she sighed a little. "Afton's trying to upset me because he knows I am due to be kicked out of my parents' house soon. I am not surprised at all, but it is super annoying." Saphira groaned deeply as she stared at the message and looked at Springtrap. "Time to make your move soon when the pumpkins are carved. Halloween's only a few weeks away…I am not really sure what he means."
"A timeline, maybe…but I hope not." Springtrap looked at the paper before he slammed it on Mike's desk angrily. "And he's teasing you again. He wants to feed your curiosity into finding things. And we had just talked about not doing that…but he wants us to play along…"
"Yeah, I know." Saphira was irritated by that and she leaned against Springtrap, making him tense a little in surprise. "I am so tired, Springtrap. And it…how long have I been working here again? It's been more than a month, right?"
Springtrap nodded. "Yes. Definitely more than a month. But I am not very good at keeping track of time now, Saphira. Halloween is soon, and then it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas…both of those times are the least busy times…at least you'll be here to enjoy them with us." She smiled as she knew that was likely going to happen. "But understand, Saphira. So much has happen. You must feel drained."
"Yeah. If I could just sleep for a hundred years, I would be happy." She thought about it some more before she looked up at Springtrap, wrapping her arm around his. "I am happy that you decided to keep me company, Springtrap. Alone in my own thoughts can be quite dangerous at times. You bring a lot of light to my life, Springtrap. I cared deeply for you as well." She widened her smile as he listened to her. "I think I am also going to try and listen to your compliments and advice more." She hummed softly for a moment. "I haven't had anyone really tell me I am beautiful…since the accident."
"That explains a lot." Springtrap turned to face her and held her hands in his, making her tense a little as he was so close to her. But she had been leaning on him before. "You don't need to do anything extra to make yourself beautiful. I am seen humans with all kinds of make up, and sometimes, it makes the person less attractive. Especially if the make up is extremely heavy."
"I agree. And thank you."
Springtrap leaned in and Saphira tensed, thinking he was going to kiss her, but he kissed her forehead instead. Feeling his lips on her forehead felt strange. And his lips were surprisingly soft. She had assumed they would still feel like hard metal, but they don't. Her cheeks were red and she felt her heart racing. She swore it was going to burst out of her chest. And his kiss was so gentle too. He rubbed his thumb on her cheek gently as he pulled back and looked at her.
Saphira wanted to hide her face, but she couldn't as she stared back at him. "You are welcome. Don't ever feel like you are ugly, Saphira. You are beautiful. I have seen diamonds in the jewelry shop. And your eyes sparkle just like them. And even your skin and hair. Don't ever think that you are ugly. Because to me, you are the most beautiful thing in the world." He smiled at her and gestured to himself. "Compared to me, well…"
"I never thought you were ugly either, Springtrap. Not once." Saphira looked at his body as she could see the withered look that his body had. And within the gaps of metal coverings, she could just see another layer of metal, that was likely covering the weaker, sensitive skin that the animatronics had. Even though the way he was designed, it looked like there were genuine holes in the animatronic body, but that was due to the darker color underneath. "I honestly thought you were the coolest looking animatronic when I was a kid. I still stand by that."
Springtrap chuckled softly. "And I am fully aware of that. But I am sure you know what I meant." She nodded and rolled her eyes at him. "Hmm, since we only have an hour left…how about we play a game? Something simple maybe, or…"
"Charades!" Saphira interrupts excitedly, making Springtrap flinch. "We should play Charades! I'll start, if you want."
Springtrap chuckled and nodded. "Sure, that will pass the time pretty quickly."
Saphira giggled as she walked away from Springtrap and he turned to watch her as she thought about something for a moment before she began to make poses. Springtrap watched her curiously before he made a guess that she was holding a pack, because that was the action she was showing. She nodded before moving onto the next one. Springtrap was highly amused that she had chosen this game. And he was glad to have some time with her.
Springtrap also observed Saphira's reactions to him. Springtrap could see she wanted to tell him how she felt. He knew what she felt. But Springtrap was not ever going to force her. Especially since she was scared. Springtrap wanted her to not be scared. Whatever Afton wants, may not even happen if they were to admit to their feelings and build a proper relationship. But Springtrap did worry that they would be forced to. It wouldn't be out of character for Afton to make that happen, especially if it is something that Afton wanted to happen. But he still did not yet know. Regardless, he spent the rest of the night playing Charades with Saphira before she would make sure the place looked undamaged from the Freddles. None of them wanted to create suspicion from the day employees. But they had no idea that Afton was grinning as he watched them through the eyes of the Freddles. It was going exactly how he wanted it to go.
