I stand up and going towards the nearest tree. I try mentally pressing "W" key and, to my surprise, it works.
I start moving like a character from minecraft, legs swinging back and forth wich feels weird, though I don't feel any fatigue from such rapid action.
I decide to hold "CTRL" and "SPACE" keys, and I spees up greatly, jumping a meter up. It feels so wrong but I think I'll get used to it.
I stop by the tree and start punching it, regretting instantly, of course it would hurt to punch tree bare-handed! But O can see cracks spreading through the 1x1 meter tree part, however they disappear as soon as I stop punching.
So I decided to step back and hold "LMB". My hand swings with great speed and after a while part of tree breaks, and a small cubic log drops on the ground, before it is sucked into my inventory.
The rest of the tree stands still in the air, which results in quite abstract view. By the way, when the quest said I need to mine with appropriate tool to activate veinminer, it was a blatant lie. Any item in hand was good enough.
Taking quest book and mining the log in the middle of the tree and holding "~" key a whole tree breaks into logs as leaves decay shortly after, dropping 1 apple and 3 sapplings.
I decide to plant a sappling to see what happens. I take it in my hand and press "RMB". It places where I looked and it doesn't differ from the sapplings from minecraft.
I start running and jumping around the sappling(yes, that is a common mechanic in skyblock) and it grows into an average cubic minecraft tree.
After breaking it I hear a jingle and a popup appears
[QUEST COMPLETED]
[Did You Know We Have A Veinminer?]
Great, I can claim rewards! I get my 4 chests and by now I think I should start building a base. Oh yeah, forgot to check my inventory!
I press "E" and a screen pops up before my eyes. It has 4 rows of icons, 9 in each, small 2x2 crafting menu, a search bar below, lis of items right of inventory, 4 armor slots and my miniturised model. Seeing it, I don't think that's how I looked in my past. I have untucked cyan shirt, blue jeans and grey shoes on me. I also have short black hair and green eyes, but my face I would say is pretty average, not beautiful and not ugly. On the left top corner there is a ring icon. Pressing on it reveals 8 more slots for accessories. Neat!
I take all my 16 oak wood logs and craft them into 32 planks, then take 4 planks and craft a work bench, 4 more planks go into 4 sticks. Crafts here are not so ruthless but more annoying. Then I use 2 planks and 2 sticks 2 times to make 8 blank patterns. Now I combine a crafting table with a pattern, a plank with a pattern and close the inventory as I need more wood.
After 15 minutes of running around and gathering wood I have 3 stacks(64) of oak wood logs. I get to crafting again.
Turning a half of the logs, I make another crafting table and recraft it into a crafting station and I place it down. Then I craft 3 wooden pickaxes and combine a log with blank pattern. They all have 1 durability, because this modpack makes me use tools and weapons from tinker's construct.
I start digging dirt and pull out my pickaxes when I reach stone. I was able to mine only 6 cobblestone.
Then, after getting out I place all my stations and chests. I craft even more blank patterns and open stencil table interface. I make tool rod, pickaxe head and small binding patterns.
Then I go to the part builder, making pickaxe head from cobblestone and binding and tool rod from oak planks.
Finally I got to the tool builder and combine all parts into a pickaxe. This will do for now. A neat pickaxe for the beginning with self-repair(ecological modifier from wooden parts)! Though it doesn't have much durability, sadly.
Back to the base building. As I start digging underground I feel hunger, looking at my hunger bar, I see that I have only 3 legs left(A/N: I know sounds wierd af, but I have no short name for it, maybe you could auggest in the comments) so I decide to eat some apples. When I take them in my hand, the look like flat minecraft apple and my curiosity takes over me as I try eating it normaly. To my surprise it tasets even better than any apple I ate in my previous life.
After I satisfy my hunger I continue digging down. While digging down I found some iron and copper ores but I can't smelt them yet.
Suddenly, just when I've broken next block under me, I fall.
Author note: I think it's going to take a few more chapters to get our guy going. As always, comments are open for your suggestions and criticism!
