Richard walked into the seaside wellness with a Callie who was trying to stop him. He went to the receptionist desk and asked for Addison Montgomery. He ignored Callie as she spoke, the receptionist told him she was in the breakroom and pointed him in the direction. Richard grabbed Callie by the arm and dragged her into the breakroom. As he approached Addison saw him first, she hid behind Jake who was confused then slowly moved him towards the opposite door. Before Addison can escape the breakroom, Richard yelled her name "Addison Adrianne Forbes Montgomery if you leave this room. I swear I will follow you to your office." Richard said as Addison stops in her tracks, she undid herself from behind Jake and came full view.
"I'm sorry sir but who are you?" Jake asked as Addison hitted him on the arm.
Richard raised his eyebrow and looked at the redhead who was praying to not be embarrassed in front of the her love life right now "I'm Seattle chief of Surgery you must be Jake."
"How do you know my name?" Jake asked as Richard looked between Callie and Addison who both had their arms crossed and pouting.
"But That's not the reason why I'm here. Callie and Addison sit" Richard instructed both ladies to sit down at the island. Neither of them moved "If you two do not sit down right this instant. I will take both of your surgery privileges away." Both women looked at him with wide eyes.
"Are you able to do that? Even though Addison doesn't work at the hospital?" Sam asked the older man.
"My hospital. My rules. Addison will do no surgeries next time she visits." Addison looked at him in shock and slightly embarrassed. Addison looked at her friend who went to sit down and she followed.
"Now do you want to explain to me why my orthopedist has been moping around for the past weeks." Richard says as he looks over at Addison.
"I don't know"
"Addison there were two nurses trying to hit on Callie. She didn't budge." Addison even knew that was unusual even for Callie.
"Callie, Addison has been calling karev for girl chat."
"Whose Karev?" Jake asked.
"One of the doctors that was close to Addison before she left Seattle." Charlotte told him filling him in
"Luckily for you he knows how to play the girl role since he always plays the girl role for Meredith, Arizona, Callie, Cristina, Amelia, Lexie and April." Richard thought about what he said "Damn, I need more sons. You girls are stressful."
"You have Jackson. You had Mark and Derel." Callie told Richard.
Richard glared at Callie "Yeah, but they're always hanging out with April or Meredith. Anyway, besides the point. Please tell me why you guys haven't spoken? It's scaring Arizona."Neither woman spoke up, Richard rolled his eyes and took a deep breath "I really have to do this to grown ups? Okay, 5….4….3"
"Okay, okay." It was Addison who budged. "Callie and I got into a disagreement about Sofia schooling."
"I want Sofia in a public school and Addison wants Sofia in a private school."
"Does Arizona have a say in this?"
"Yeah but I told Callie, I would pay for it but she refuses."
"Yes, I want the best for Sofia but private school really?"
"So do I Calliope yet private school would help advance more"
"You don't get to Calliope me Adrianne"
"Does Henry go to public or private?" Richard asked Addison.
"Public…" Addison answered in a small voice.
"Then why can't Sofia go to public?"
"I went to a private school and I'm fine."
"Is it because Bizzy put you in private school?" Addison didn't say anything to her friend and Callie got her answer which was correct. "Look, I had money as well but went to public school. Sofia will be fine, she'll be with most of the kids from the hospital."
"And if you move out of state?"
"Then we will figure it out then" Callie says as she reaches over and touches her friend's hand. Addison smiled at her friend and pulled her into a hug.
"I missed you" Addison says as Callie hugged her back.
"I miss you too Loca." Callie as she smiled. Everyone in the room was relieved the tension was now gone.
The two released each other and Addison said "C'mon father, you're favorite daughters are taking you to lunch" Callie and Addison got up from their seats.
"I don't have favorites" Richard stated which caused both ladies to look at him.
"Yeah okay, by tomorrow it'll be Bailey then next week it'll be Arizona or Meredith." Callie says to the older man.
"Next month it could be Karev and April or even worse Owen" Addison says as Callie nodded her head in agreement.
"My favorite are my nieces/nephews/grandchildren I have to make sure the adults around them are sane so they have parents who function correctly."
"Says the recovering alcoholic" Callie says as Addison looked at him shockingly.
"Your drinking again?" Addison asked as she went up to the older man.
"Addison" Richard started to say.
"Don't Addison me."
"I didn't get to formally meet Jake" Richard says trying to get the attention off of him.
"You'll have lunch with him next time you're here or we're there. Now you gotta hear your children give you a lecture for the next hour and plus I gotta update you and Callie." Addison tells Richard "Callie come with me, I gotta get my purse." Addison says as she grabs her friend and they go in the direction of Addison's office.
Naomi asked Richard "Are they always like this?"
"Sadly, they all are. I know when Callie and I get back. I have to settle a debate between April, Meredith and Jackson." Richard says as he closed his eyes. "When those two come back tell them. I'm by the elevator."
