Sofia was going downstairs of Addison's home when she spotted her Henry, Jake and Addison sitting in the livingroom. She looked at Addison with narrowed eyes quickly and headed into the kitchen.
She went over to the cabinet, grabbed a wine glass, and went into the fridge to grab Addison's wine. She grabbed both the glass and wine. And went into the livingroom. Sofia opened the wine and flicked the top so it landed on the couch. She poured some wine into the cup then set it down onto the table.
"Good Afternoon Jake and Henry." Sofia says as she sat on the bench, crossed her legs as she took a sip. Addison rolled her eyes knowing Sofia was slightly upset with her.
The two men said good afternoon and looked between the aunt and goddaughter. Henry smirked because he knew what was wrong but Jake looked confused.
Sofia looked at Addison "So how was it?" Sofia asked as she took another sip of the wine.
Addison rolled her eyes "What?"
"How was it with your new best friend?" Sofia asked Addison knowing she was getting under Tia's skin. Maya has been visiting the same week Sofia has been. Today Addison had lunch with Maya and Naomi. Sofia normally is okay with Maya yet lately Maya has been shooting digs at Sofia. She's been really calm and nice to Maya. In the eyes of the young adult, Maya only talked to Addison when it benefitted her or when she needed to go behind Naomi's back. Yeah they had years together but Sofia spent more time with Addison, despite the distance between the two. Sofia and Addison talked almost everyday. Sofia didn't like the thought of her aunt being used for someone else gain.
"Sofia get over it" Addison said in a cold voice.
Sofia took a long sip then made a refreshing sound "No, can do auntio"
"Sofia Robbin" Sofia looks at her with a raised eyebrow. "You don't think you did anything wrong this week?"
"I'm delulu to the shosho" Sofia says as she swirls the wine around in the cup. Henry tries to hold in his laughter yet Jake shoots him a glare.
"You have been incredibly rude to Maya" Addison says as she raises an eyebrow to Sofia.
Sofia took a long sip of the wine and finished it. She placed the wine glass on the coffee table and crossed her legs. "She's been giving me indirect digs this whole week. I've been fine with her, I stay out of her way and mind my business." Sofia says to defend herself "I only been to the office two times this week and half the time it wasn't even with you. Charlotte needed a consultant and Tio needed help. If anything I hang out in Charlotte's office. Yeah it's a normal thing for me to burst through your office but when she's here I stay far away from your office unless you call me in there. I'm glad my presence alone makes her uncomfortable. Honey I'm Sloan, it's what we do." Sofia says to her aunt.
Addison looks at Sofia "It sucks when it gets back to Naomi. Then Naomi thinks I have favorites."
Sofia chuckled in disbelief "Of course she does."
"And you definitely didn't do anything?"
Sofia stood up from the sofa bench, went over to the coat rack and grabbed her keys "Henry you coming with me? I'm in the mood for pupusas." Sofia looked at her aunt once last time and left the house.
Henry stood up from the couch and said to his mom "I know, Sofia is highly reactive but at some point you gotta realize that Sofia is actually right in this situation." He says as he went out the door to his cousin's car.
Two days later in the office
Sofia has been avoiding Addison like the plague but today she was going back home to Seattle. She couldn't leave and not say goodbye to her Tia. The door was opened but she still knocked. Addison was sitting at her desk with Naomi and Maya. Sofia stepped into the office with her high heels clicking along the floor. She stepped around the desk and went to hug Addison "Even though we haven't said a word to each other. I wanna let you know that I still love you. I'll be back next month." Sofia says as she releases her aunt from the hug. Addison looked at her with hurt eyes.
As she was walking out, Maya says out loud "Thank God you're leaving" Addison raises an eyebrow at her.
Sofia stopped in her tracks, she took a deep breath, released it and slowly turned around. Sofia went over to the chair she was sitting in. "Look, I know we don't particularly like one another but you see that woman right there." Sofia points to Addison "She's our godmom. Regardless of what's going on between us, we will respect her and put this little imagery beef to the side when we're around her. You and your mom might think I'm the favorite and so what if I am? We all know Addison Montgomery doesn't do favorites. Is it because I actually take the time to visit her? And don't only talk to her when it benefits me? Henry and I don't have this issue and that's his Madre. He knows her and I are very close, he and I both know that he's not going to the girly things. So please let's respect Addison Adrianne Forbes-Montgomery Riley let's move on." Sofia says as she goes towards the door.
Addison stood up form her desk "Sofibug." Sofia turned around hearing her nickname "I love you and text me when you get home."
Sofia smiled at her aunt "I love you too and will do" Sofia says as she exits with a smile on her face.
