Zoe was dancing as she laid out her outfit for tomorrow. She was going to have one of the best weekends she ever had in Paris. But first, she had patrol tonight with Ladybug. Her and the spotted hero alone for two hours. She was kind of excited to tell the heroine that she had finally asked out her crush. She had told Ladybug that she was going to confess to the girl that had recently come out to her, and the team leader had been nothing but supportive. Even offering to let her test her confession, if she desired. Zoe blushed at the happy smile on Ladybug's face as they talked about Marinette. She wasn't surprised that Ladybug knew the designer. Every hero knew about her. It had caused some tension in the group for a bit, when she didn't bring Marinette onto the team instead of Argos.

"I know he messed up." Ladybug had explained. "We have discussed why he did what he did at length. He seems to be remorseful for what he put the kwami through, at least. Therefore, he is getting a chance. He understands if he breaks my rules again, every one of us will be coming after him until the Peacock is recovered."

Zoe shuddered. She could not imagine being on the hero of creation's bad side. She knew who everyone was, even Chat Noir now. If someone tried to misuse their Miraculous, the entire group would deal with them. Also if someone lost their Miraculous, Ladybug would have a much easier time helping locate it as well.

She could no longer contain her excitement to spill to Ladybug and called out for her transformation. Once she was Vesperia again, she bounded out the window and into the streets of Paris.

Zoe made a beeline for the meet up point. When she arrived, she found Ladybug already waiting with a basket next to her. She smiled, knowing the contents were from her girlfriend's bakery. She would never complain about the heroes of Paris going to her favorite shop for treats.

"Good evening, Ladybug." Vesperia landed on the roof near her.

"Good evening, Vesperia. I heard that someone successfully landed their girl. Congrats!"

Zoe blushed behind her mask. "Thank you! She's just as wonderful as I always knew she would be."

Ladybug gave her a brilliant smile. "I'm sure Marinette would be pleased to hear you say so. When I picked up the treats from her parents, they were raving about you. Though they had no idea I was actually patrolling with their daughter's girlfriend. I did manage to sweet talk them into filling the basket with a few of your favorites for us to 'try'."

Zoe giggled as she sat down and accepted a treat. "Thank you, Ladybug. I suspect if you ask Marinette, she would have filled the entire basket with my favorites."

Ladybug nodded. "No doubt. However, we do not run into each other that often. Seems every time I arrive at the bakery, she has gone out on an errand or something."

Vesperia blinked as she saw Ladybug's expression. There was a hint of something there she was not used to. Slyness? Was Ladybug trying to hint at something between her and Marinette? Honestly, every time she saw Ladybug lately, she felt the same safeness and warmth that Marinette brought into her life. Then the headache would come. Once that settled down, she was usually too busy to dwell further on it.

"That's a shame. I think you two would be very good friends."

Ladybug laughed. "I think twin sisters, more like. It's uncanny, how much we look like each other."

Zoe did a double take. Now Ladybug mentioned it, she did resemble her girlfriend a little too much. There it was the dull throb returning. She forced her mind away from the issue. "I could see it. Maybe one day we can meet up together. I was wondering.." She trailed off, looking down at the road below.

"You want to tell Marinette? I have no problem with that, as long as she can keep your secret. Though perhaps not this early? You are just settling into your new relationship. You may overwhelm her if you tell her this secret right away. Don't wait too long, of course. Then it could cause resentment. My master taught me, that you have to wait for the perfect moment to add the noodles to the boiling water. Add them too soon, and the noodles are too hard. Add them too late and the noodles will be soggy and gross. You have to find that perfect moment."

Zoe sighed and leaned her head against Ladybug's shoulder. Their friendship had always been a touchy one and Ladybug's presence made her guard drop to near zero.

"How will I know the right time?"

Ladybug wrapped an arm around her so they could sit snugly together. "It will be perfect because it is the moment you picked. I know she trusts you, or she would never have come out to you. She waited for your confession, after all."

Zoe hummed as she snuggled into Ladybug's warmth. "OK. Thank you, Ladybug. I'm spending the weekend with her. Tomorrow at the bakery and then we will be having a movie marathon at the hotel on Sunday."

Ladybug bumped her with her side, ending their hug. "Oh? Going to watch the movie about me, perhaps?"

Zoe shook her head. "No, we are going to first watch Solitude. I want Marinette's input on costumes for the sequel. She was already starting to sketch at lunch today when I told her."

Ladybug got up and unwound her yo-yo. "That sounds fun. Give me the play by play at our next solo patrol. Ready to go?"

Vesperia nodded and rose to her feet. It was time to do her duties as a hero. She wanted to keep this city safe, so her Marinette would never be in danger again.
