How the heck did Clark find him!? He was sure that he was intangible so the wind wouldn't make sound, and of course he was invisible to not be seen. He wasn't even breathing nor did he have a heartbeat in this form. There was no way that Superman could have tracked him here!

Danny started off sputtering. "What the- how did you- huh?"

Superman floated over him, his arms crossed over his chest with a disappointed look on his face. It reminded Danny of Jazz when she found out he hadn't slept for three days while out fighting ghosts and didn't do his homework.

Danny inwardly winced at the sight.

"Phantom, you need to come back. This is for your own good," Superman's voice sounded tougher than usual. Just what he needed, an angry Superman on his tail.

"Like hell, it's for my own good!" Danny veered off his original course to go around Flying-Primary-Man. Dipping out of the visible spectrum again, Danny fled.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Clark could still follow him just fine while invisible, so he was tracking him somehow.

He swears if they put a tracker on him somewhere, he is going to be so pissed!

Alright, Danny took a deep breath, Plan B. Danny decided to fly down, straight down, and into the ground. Intangibility had its uses when everyone else couldn't also go intangible.

While Danny wasn't sure how Superman was tracking him, maybe going underground and zig-zagging back and forth would help shake him long enough to get back to his haunt.

Danny was able to fly submerged like that for about six minutes before he started to get exhausted and discombobulated. The exhaustion comes from the extended use of his intangibility plus flying at top speed. And he lost his sense of direction being underground he can't look up at the sky and get his sense of direction like he normally would with the stars. At this point, he is hoping that he is still going in the correct direction.

Danny managed to hold out for about three minutes more before breaching the surface again, slipping back into the earthly plane as his intangibility fell off of him. He could now feel much more wind in his face as it started to drag. But keeping up with intangibility was getting very tiring.

"Phantom." Superman appeared right in front of him, his arms crossed again. Dang it, he thought he lost the man!

Danny groaned as he floated in front of him. "Okay! Look man, just let me go back to my haunt! I don't need any of this crazy kidnapping stuff! I have been doing this for years !" Well, technically not years… only a year and a half, but Big-Blue-Boy-Scout didn't need to know that.

Clark held his hands out in a placating motion. "Phantom I can't just let you do that. You need somewhere to… -er, live. Pardon my wording." Danny shrugged. "Children need to be taken care of."

"I'm not a child, dude! Why can't you guys get that through your thick skulls?! I'm almost sixteen! And I have probably been doing this longer than some of your members! I helped you guys in that fight last week which is the whole reason I'm in this mess in the first place. I came to help you guys and you kidnapped me!" He threw his hands to the sides exasperated.

"You are a minor."

"Ahrgh!"

"That doesn't make you guys go around and kidnap all of the other hundreds of homeless kids in these cities you live in! So leave me alone." Danny tries to escape around Clark again, only for the man to reach out and grab his upper arm.

" Don't touch me! " Danny shouts as he yanks his arm away from Superman with a little bit of intangibility. They both stare at each other for a moment in shock.

" Don't… touch me," Danny repeats slower, floating back a bit.

Clark pauses for a moment "Phantom, you need to come back with me. I can't have you out here alone. If you want, we can visit your… haunt…? Tomorrow. We can get your things then."

"...Why can't we get them now?"

"Because it's dark, it's time for bed, and I need to make sure that I am in Metropolis to keep it safe. I can have someone watch over the city tomorrow so I can accompany you to Amity Park."

Danny weighs his options. He is exhausted from his escape and doesn't think he can make a chase like that again. And now he stops to think about it, the League knows where his haunt is. Yes, he did ask them not to go there without his permission for fear of someone getting overshadowed, but they will still follow him if he goes there, and that really isn't a jar of worms he wants to open up today.

Danny sighs deeply and slumps his shoulders in defeat, " Fine ," which makes Clark smile. "But you have to promise to let me go tomorrow."

"I promise."

Oooh escape plan busted! Danny will just have to try something else next time, maybe find a league without supersonic speed and thermal vision :)

What ya'll think? Any escape plan predictions?
