Chapter 2

Morning had eventually arrived and it was a bright beautiful day as the sun shined over the neighborhood of City Beach, where a large crowd of people were enjoying themselves on Sunnyside Beach: with families soaking up rays whilst their children played in the sand and several others, especially teenagers were swimming in the water. Meanwhile, at the abandoned tile factory in Midtown, which served as their main hideout...Denny and his crew were holding a rather important meeting, regarding the two job assignments that Simmons had given them at the club last night.

"Oh, I don't believe this." Michael muttered softly while placing his hands on his hips whilst shaking his head in disbelief.

"The Cobras are really hitting the same fuckin' mall as us?" Sam asked as he, Mike, Nicole and Caitlyn were still surprised after hearing how the Cobra Familia were planning on robbing the strip mall in Old Bruno.

"That's what Candace told me and Denny at the bar." John answered plainly while crossing his arms against his chest as he revealed to his sister and the rest of their crew on what Candace told him and Conroy: how the Cobra Familia were planning on robbing the same mall as them.

"Which Simmons conveniently failed to mention." Denny added dryly as he leaned back against the briefing table while reaching for the box of Marlboros that was resting on the table and taking out a single cigarette and a Zippo lighter from his left jacket pocket.

"What the fuck is Simmons trying to do? Get us killed?" Nicole asked while groaning softly in annoyance after hearing how Simmons had deliberately neglected to mention to them how another of their rival gangs were planning on hitting the strip mall as well!

"Oh gee, that's a hard one, but if I had to guess..." Sam started off sarcastically, before Caitlyn immediately cut him off.

"It was a rhetorical question, wiseass." Kate stated in an equally dry and sarcastic tone as she, Mike, Denny, Nikki and John already knew the answer to Simmons questionable methods.

"I'm just saying that its pretty obvious that Simmons is trying to have us killed." The reddish blonde countered as he pointed out to his friends and teammates how their 'silent partner' was indeed trying to have them killed, either by the cops or the Cobras, Templarios, Wild Dogs or Nazi Eagles.

"So what's the call Denny?" Michael asked while glancing to their team leader, whom had been smoking the Marlboro cigarette while offering one to John, whom gladly accepted and lit it for him.

"...We're gonna go through with the jobs." Conroy answered while taking in a deep breath and exhaling a small huff of smoke as he informed his crew that they would go through the warehouse and strip mall jobs.

"You sure about this?" John asked even though he, Nicole and the rest of their team weren't that surprised from Denny's answer.

"We all know that this sort of shit comes with the territory, John. We're just going to have to watch our backs...especially if Simmons throws us another job like this again." The brunette replied calmly as he pointed out to his second in command and teammates on how they should expect being betrayed: especially since they lived in a city where greed literarily brought out the rest in people.

"Alright. If you say we're going through the jobs, then we trust you Denny." Sam stated casually as he trusted his friend and crew leader's judgment, along with Michael, Caitlyn and Nicole.

"Okay, then...let's get to work. Now according to the blueprints that Simmons provided us, the strip mall on Old Bruno has approximately 5 security cameras: one on the roof, one outside the security room and three covering the liquor, jewelry and and electronic departments." Denny stated professionally, revealing to his teammates on how the shopping center they would soon be hitting had a number of five security cameras as they gathered around and went over the floor plans of the strip mall.

"Our main problem are going to be these two side doors...which will no doubtingly have guards and civilians popping in and out." Conroy softly added while pointing to the two side doors on front and rear ends of the central hallway, which he and his team knew be a problem: especially since a security guard would randomly walk in on them and radio for backup.

"Not to mention the liquor, electronic and jewelry stores..." John stated while pointing out on how the jewelry, liquor and electronic departments would serve as a problem as well, with his sister and Michael nodding in agreement, as they immediately understood what meant.

"The Cobras and cops will be able to swarm us." Mike stated as he pointed out the obvious fact to his friends/teammates on how both the police and Cobras would be able to catch them off guard by entering through any department/store entrance they liked.

"That's why we're gonna have to make this quick: sneak in, grab the loot and get out without alerting the guards and before the Cobras show." Denny stated as he pointed out to his crew on how they would have to work fast once they broke into the mall.

"And if the cops get in the way?" Caitlyn asked while bringing up a rather crucial question: what they were suppose to do once the cops started shooting at them.

"If the cops get in the way...we do what we gotta do." The brunette answered solemnly with John and the rest of their team nodded in understanding: how they were supposed to fight their way through the cops in order to escape.

"Okay, since we're gonna be splitting into two teams: who's going to hit the strip mall and who's gonna hit the warehouse?" Nikki stated as she instinctively knew that they were going to split up into teams and was curious to which group would be robbing the strip mall and ripping off the Templarios.

"Michael, you and Caitlyn are with me: we'll hit the strip mall in Old Bruno. John, you Sam and Nikki will be heading to the warehouse in Riverside." Conroy answered as he assigned John, Samuel and Nicole to rip off the Templarios whilst he, Mike and Kate hit the strip mall.

"Consider it done, brother." John stated as he was perfectly fine with leading the warehouse job...especially since he and his sister had history with the Mexican street gang they would be stealing from.

"How much is Simmons paying us for pulling off these two jobs?" Sam asked as he, Michael, Nikki and Kate were wondering how much money the Nigerian club owner was offering them for ripping the Templarios and robbing the strip mall.

"He's offering us $20,000 for both the strip mall and robbing the Templarios." Denny answered truthfully as he revealed to his crew/teammates on how Simmons was offering to pay them 20 grand for pulling off both heists.

"40K? For robbing a mere shopping center and stealing from the Templarios?" Nicole asked with a skeptical look on her face after hearing how Simmons was expecting them to risk their lives robbing a mall and ripping off one of their rival gangs in the middle of the day for 40 grand.

"No offense Denny, but I think we deserve a much bigger pay than just $40,000." Caitlyn replied as she instinctively agreed with her female teammate, stating on how Simmons owed them more than 40k for pulling off both jobs.

"Well, its kinda funny that you and Nikki feel that we deserve more money, Kate...seeing as how Simmons doesn't even need any of the loot he's having us steal." Conroy stated while chuckling softly as he shared a rather surprising revelation to his friends: how their 'silent partner' had no need for the electronic equipment and drugs they planned to steal!

"Really?" John asked as he, his sister, Caitlyn, Sam and Michael stared in genuine surprise as soon as the words left their friend and leader's mouth!

"He's letting us keep the loot?" Samuel asked as he and Mike glanced at each other after hearing how Simmons was allowing them to keep the drugs and electronic equipment!

"Yep. I got a text message from Simmons this morning, saying how he didn't have any clients interested in the drugs or electronics he's paying us to steal and that we can sell the cargo to Heath." Denny answered as he revealed to his crew on how he had received a text from Simmons right before he left his house, stating how the Nigerian club owner didn't have any customers who were interested in the drugs or electronic equipment and how they could hand the items off to Heath, whom was their personal fence who they had done business with for years.

"Alright, you guys know the drill: go over your gear and get ready to leave in ten minutes. And also make sure to grab a long gun and handgun outfitted with a silencer. I want us to pull off these jobs neat and clean." He automatically added as he instructed his friends/teammates to go over their personal gear and reminded them to arm themselves with either an assault rifle, submachine gun or semi-automatic shotgun so they could deal with the guards/cops and rival gang members quickly as they carried out their heists, whom nodded and did as he ordered.

As soon as they had went over their personal gear and slipped on their ballistic vests, Denny and his crew exited the factory, where they spotted Royce waiting for them, sitting comfortably in his dark blue Chevy cargo van along with a 2nd Caucasian man, who was sitting patiently while smoking a lit Camel cigarette in a faded silver gray 2003 GMC Savana cargo van.

"Hey Royce. Carter." The brunette stated plainly as he and his group greeted Royce and the 2nd driver, whom they simply knew as Carter.

"Afternoon Conroy." Royce replied in a similar tone as he witnessed Denny climb into the passenger side while Michael and Caitlin climbed into the back.

"So...where to?" He softly asked.

"Old Bruno as quickly as possible. We need to get there first before the Cobras." Denny answered as he instructed Royce to drop him, Mike and Kate off at Old Bruno while John, Sam and Nicole climbed into the silver gray 2003 Savana.

"You got." Royce stated with a casual grin as he inserted the key, turned the ignition and drove off with the Savana following right behind before turning left as Carter transported John and his group to Riverside.

~Meanwhile at Rockay City Police Department~

It was an extremely busy day for the Rockay City Police Department, as the entire office assigned to the handpicked Anti-Gang Unit was filled with a medium sized crowd of standard patrol cops and detectives, whom were sitting behind their work desks as their precinct's commanding officer, Capt. Don Sheridan, whom was a Caucasian man in his mid 50's with light tan brown hair, light green eyes and wearing a detective's uniform with a Captain's insignia pinned to the right side of his uniform shirt stood behind a podium in front of the room and cleared his voice, which immediately earned the patrol officers and detectives attention.

"Alright everyone, listen up. You all know what this debriefing is all about: the uprising spike of robberies being committed throughout our glorious cesspool of a city. The latest one being the Goth Corp warehouse robbery on the West End that Novak responded to last night." Capt. Sheridan started off professionally as he explained to the detectives and officers under his command the reason why he had set up the debriefing: so they could discuss the unrelenting strings of robberies being committed throughout Rockay City.

"And as we all know, we're losing the war on crime, due to how the gangs we've been investigating the past five years have been getting better equipped and intimidated witnesses into silence." The police captain added as he pointed out to the men and women under his command on how they were failing to persecute the criminal gangs whom were controlling the streets of their beautiful coastal city; due to them either murdering or intimidating the civilians who witnessed their criminal activities.

"Sgt. Barrera, would you please?" Capt. Sheridan asked while glancing to the precinct's desk sergeant, a Hispanic man in his mid 30's wearing a standard police uniform and sergeant's insignia, whom nodded and turned to a female officer, who turned the slideshow projector that was already set up and showed a photo of an Afro-Jamaican man in his early 30's with black hair in dreadlocks who had two small silver earrings on his left ear and a tattoo of the Catholic Cross on the right side of his face.

"As you ladies and gentlemen already know, the man in this photo is Jaden Shaw, the leader of the Wild Dogs. Mr. Shaw came over to America from Jamaica four years ago, along with his brother DeJuan; where they formed their gang five months later and got involved in the drug trade shortly afterwards. Shaw and his gang operate out of an abandoned apartment in their home neighborhood of Little Haiti and have suspected safe houses in Lennon Pearl, City Beach, Big Surf and the Nautilus Keys." The female officer stated professionally as she went over the all information the Rockay City Police Department had collected all over the years about the Wild Dogs and their leader, Jaden Shaw: whom was originally from Jamaica, along with his brother, DeJuan and how the Devil Dogs operated out of their home community Little Haiti before switching to the 2nd slide, which was of a Hispanic man, also in his mid 30's, Caucasian with dark brown hair, dark black eyes and facial hair consisting of a chin patch and mustache forming a circle and the tattoo of a burning skull covering the left side of his face.

"Contestant number 2 is Dario Lopez: the leader of the Templarios. Originally, this gang was based out of New York City, where they operated as both hired muscle and freelance express kidnappers; targeting the children of rival street gangs or high profile people and holding them for ransom before deciding to expand their operations and setting shop here in Rockay City. Now according to our Intel: the Templarios are still into express kidnapping, but they've muscled their way into the drug business and known for dealing and trafficking drugs ranging from pain killers to heroin, cocaine and crystal meth. The Templarios operate out of the Campo Hills Housing complex in North Ridge and have territories in Uppertown, Riverside, South Ridge and Midtown." The female officer continued as she went over all the information they had on El Templarios and their leader Dario Lopez: how they originally operated out of New York as freelance express kidnappers before relocating to Rockay City and immediately got involved in the drug trade and how they mainly operated out of North Ridge before switching over to a 3rd slide, which was of a Caucasian man in his mid 20's with bright orange hair shaved in a buzzcut style and light blue eyes with two distinctive tattoos on his face: the death head patch with the numbers 14/88 on the right side of his forehead and a black/red shield with a capital Y with a capital S wrapped around it, resembling a snake and the motto 'We Want Our Country Back!' on the left side of his neck.

"Contestant #3 is Derek McGowan: local resident of Rockay, proud mouth skinhead and the leader of Nazi Eagles; whom are self claimed street bangers who are devote believers/followers of the Aryan Brotherhood and as we all know...the main rival of the Templarios. Four months ago, the Nazi Eagles had hit a suspected Templario safehouse in South Ridge and attempted to steal $45,000 worth of marijuana...and how an Nazi Eagle soldier shot and killed the gang captain in charge of the safe house...whom was identified as Dario Lopez's cousin, Ignacio Pena and his 2nd in command. Three weeks later...the Templarios retaliated and killed McGowan's brother, Leonard after they hit a suspected Eagle safehouse in Antiqua. McGowan and his gang operate out of an abandoned church in Liberty Bay and have other territories in the Grove, Swamp Road, Antiqua and Low Haven." She added, as she went over the information they had on the Nazi Eagles and their leader, Derek McGowan: whom were a gang of street thugs and white supremacists whom were at war with the Templarios; as they had ripped off one of their stash houses in South Rudge and murdered the captain in charge of the hideout, whom was Dario's cousin and second in command and how the Templarios retaliated by striking back at the Eagles and murdering McGowan's brother, Leonard while switching to the 4th and final slide, which was of a Dominican-American in his early 20's with tan skin, light brown hair in a short mullet style and coal blue eyes.

"And last but not least is contestant # 4, Diego Cruz the leader of the Cobra Familia: a gang of Dominican street thugs who are the only known allies to the Templarios due to Lopez and Cruz being childhood friends. And just like the Templarios, Wild Dogs and Nazi Eagles...the Cobras are also in the drug business and just like the Templarios, they deal and traffick painkillers, heroin, meth and cocaine. The Cobras operate out of an abandoned apartment complex in Beautiful Ridge and have suspected safe houses in Edgewood and the West End." The female officer concluded as she went over all the information they had on the final street gang in Rockay City, the Cobra Familia and their leader, Diego Cruz: whom were a gang of Dominican street thugs and associated with the Templarios, due to their leaders being life long friends and how they were also in the drug trade; just like the Templarios, Nazi Eagles and Wild Dogs.

"What about the gang of robbers who hit the warehouse last night on the West End?" A male detective asked while pointing out on how the female officer who gave the presentation left out the 'mysterious' crew that had robbed the Goth Corp warehouse.

"Unfortunately...we hardly have any information on the gang who committed the ware house robbery last night." Capt. Sheridan replied, as he naturally answered for the female officer and painfully stated on how they had little to no information on the crew who robbed the warehouse.

"What about Tran and his team? Were they able to find any trace evidence?" Det. Novak asked, as he was deeply curious of Tran and his Forensics team had any luck in finding any evidence from the warehouse robbery.

"CSI Tran and his team were unable to find any evidence in the warehouse and the bullet they found is a dead end, as it had no traces of fingerprints or DNA." Sheridan answered plainly, stating how Tran and his fellow CSI's had went over the warehouse thoroughly...but were unable to find any forensic evidence and how the .45 ACP casing they found was useless: as they couldn't match it to Conroy's gun and had been wiped of fingerprints.

"Novak, since you caught the ware house robbery and been on the Robbery Division for five years, you'll be the lead detective." He automatically added as he informed Novak that he would be the primary detective in charge of the Anti-Gang Task Force.

"Thank you Captain Sheridan." Det. Novak replied with a proud grin after hearing his captain assigning him as the leader of the Anti-Gang Task Force, which grew slightly wider as several of his colleagues clapped in applause.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, the last manner of business we need to discuss...is whose going to be part of the task force. I have with me a list a names of four highly decorated and recommended officers who wish to join this unit. Once I say your names...please step forward." Capt. Sheridan stated professionally as he pulled out a single sheet of paper and placed in the podium as the police officers waited anxiously to discover who would be selected to join the Anti-Gang Task Force.

"The first candidate is...Detective Roberto Silva from Homicide." Sheridan stated with a Hispanic detective in his early 30's, sitting in the 2nd row, pumping his arm in an up and down motion in delight.

"Oh, right Bobby." A female detective, a fellow Latina stated as five other officers nodded and clapped as Det. Silva stood up from his seat and walked forward just like Capt. Sheridan asked.

"Up next is...Conor Murray from Street Crimes." He added, which earned additional claps as a Caucasian man in his mid 30's stood up from the 3rd row and walked forward.

"The third candidate is Det. Reynaldo Guzman from Narcotics." Sheridan continued as a 2nd Hispanic male in his early 40's stood up from his seat in the 1st row and stepped forward.

"And last but not least, Det. Eric Sykes from from the Gang Unit." He concluded as a 2nd Caucasian man in his early 30's stood up from the 2nd row and walked forward as he joined the other three detectives who were selected to join the Anti-Gang Task Force.

"Congratulations men, you five have been selected to be part of a new police unit that may very well save this city. You will have access to every resource in the Rockay City Police Department, including our elite Special Weapons and Tactics units." Capt. Sheridan stated proudly as he congratulated Novak, Silva, Murray, Guzman and Sykes on being part of the task force while informing them that they would have access to every resource the RCPD had at its disposal, including their SWAT units.

"Thank you Captain Sheridan!" The five detectives stated in unison as they and their commanding saluted each other, followed by their fellow officers and detectives who smiled at this incredibly proud and historic moment in Rockay City Police Department's history.

~Meanwhile at Riverside~

Shortly after departing from Midtown and driving for what like half an hour, John and his group had arrived at the middle class neighborhood of Riverside and their main destination: which was another Goth Corp warehouse. As soon as Carter parked right outside the main gate to avoid being spotted, John, Sam and Nicole swiftly unbuckled their seatbelts, slipped on their custom painted hockey masks and climbed out of the 2003 Savana. Once they had exited the faded gray painted cargo van, Morales and his group silently walked up the road to the Goth Corp warehouse before ducking inside a maintenance shed...as they spotted at least three Hispanic males, whom they identified as Templario foot soldiers standing guard in front of the ware house: two whom were shooting the breeze near the trailer of a Freightliner 18 wheeler and a third, who was smoking a Marlboro while standing guard in front of the warehouse's front entrance.

"Ha ha, that was much easier than I thought." The 1st Templario gang member stated while chuckling softly and leaning against the closed/locked doors to the trailer.

"He, you can say that again hermano. Those fucking pigs didn't even put up much of a fight." The 2nd Templario foot soldier replied while chuckling as well, especially after he and his fellow gang members practically overpowered the security guards stationed inside and outside the warehouse with extreme ease.

"That's for sure. Those pathetic rent a cops practically wet themselves the moment they saw our AKs." The 1st Templario stated as he and his fellow gang member laughed after recounting on how the guards immediately surrendered the moment they the high caliber assault rifles they were armed with.

"Ey! ¿Quieren fumar? (Ey! You guys want a smoke?)" The 3rd Templario whom was standing sentry cried out, asking his fellow gang members if either of them wanted a cigarette.

"No, estamos bien hermano. (No, we're good bro.)" The 1st Templario answered with the 2nd foot soldier nodding in agreement, showing that neither of them wanted a smoke.

"What's the fuck's taking the others so long? We should've been gone 15 minutes ago!" The 2nd Templario asked with an annoyed glare on his face, wondering what their fellow gang members were doing inside the warehouse.

"Well in case you weren't paying attention, those fucking guards had already moved the crates carrying our drugs from the truck into the warehouse and refused to tell us where they put them. So the others needs to search every crate!" The 1st Templario soldier answered bluntly as he reminded his impatient cohort on how the guards had loaded the crates carrying their heroin from the truck into the warehouse and how the rest of their crew were ransacking the warehouse, due to the guards refusing to tell them where they placed the boxes carrying their drugs!

"Well, you guys know that the boss hates waiting on people." The 2nd Templario gang member replied softly while reminding his fellow thug on how their boss and leader was not the waiting type.

"Tsk, yeah don't we know." The 1st Templario stated softly, as he knew his fellow foot soldier's words were true while glancing around for any intruders.

Although, unknown to the three Templarios who were standing guard...they were completely unaware of John, Nicole and Sam, whom had been secretly listening in on their conversation from inside the shed.

"Did you guys hear that? The Templarios don't have their drugs." Sam asked while glancing back to John and sister after hearing how on the Templarios were searching the warehouse for their shipment of heroin.

"John, what's the play here?" Nikki asked while turning to her brother and noticed the serious look on his face, which she, Sam and the rest of their team recognized whenever he and Denny were formulating/calculating their entry and exit strategies during their heists.

"Okay, here's the plan: Sam, you hang back while Nikki and I deal with the Templarios standing guard. Once their out, we enter the warehouse and deal with the rest of those assholes as quietly as possible while searching for the drugs. Once we find the drugs, we get out and meet Denny and the others back at the hideout." John answered, stating how he and Nikki would take out the three gang members guarding the front entrance and how the three of them would storm the warehouse, take out the rest of the Templarios, find the heroin and head back to the tile factory.

"Okay, got it." Travis stated as he understood perfectly while John wanted him to hang back: as his Desert Eagle wasn't outfitted with a silencer and how his primary weapon was a shotgun, which wasn't very subtle for a breaking and enter job.

"Works for me." Nicole stated, as she was perfectly fine with her brother's orders while drawing out her sidearm: a H&K USP semi-automatic handgun and tightening the silencer attached to the barrel.

"Alright, let's go Queen." John stated professionally as he also drew out his Beretta 92FS Inox handgun and tightening the silencer outfitted to his handgun.

"Right behind you Knight." Nikki replied while smirking behind her mask covered face after he called her by her codename.

Once they drew and prepped their handguns, John had silently leaned out from the corner of the shed with the iron sight of his Beretta leveled with his right eye while aiming at the two unsuspecting Templarios standing behind the 18 wheeler and after taking in a light breath, fired two rounds that passed right through their heads and sent blood splattering onto the sealed door of the trailer as the two Hispanic gang members collapsed onto the ground.

"Nighty-night assholes." John muttered softly underneath his breath while glancing over his shoulder and giving his sister a soft nod, which she naturally mirrored as she silently exited the shed and after taking precise aim, she fired a single bullet that struck and passed through the back of the 3rd Templario's head as he continued to smoke his cigarette and collapsed flat face on the ground with his blood surrounding him.

"Sweet dreams, loser." Nicole stated softly while smiling underneath her mask covered face and shaking her head at how she and her brother took out the three Templario foot soldiers with extreme ease.

"Okay Rook, mount up." John stated professionally while glancing back to Sam after witnessing his sister taking care of the Templario who was guarding the front door to the warehouse.

"Roger that Knight." Travis replied as he exited the warehouse while drawing out his Remington Model 870 shotgun and pumping the sliding handguard as he and John approached Nikki and the three of them walked up the small steps to the main entrance.

Once they had stacked up and opened the front doors, Sam and the Morales had spotted four other Templarios inside the warehouse: one standing guard outside the security station and three anxiously ransacking the boxes as they searched for their heroin.

"Anything?" The Templario acting as lookout called out while asking his fellow thugs if they had found what they came for.

"Rah, nothing! Most of these boxes are filled with fuckin' worthless junk!" One of the other Templarios answered while growling in annoying while dropping the box that he was looking through and angrily kicking it across the floor, which caused the contents: an empty Kodak camera and three film cases to fall out!

"Do you think the guards stashed our drugs on the 2nd level?" Another Templario foot soldier asked, wondering if the security guards had placed the boxes carrying their heroin on the catwalks above them.

"Could be..." The 4th and final Templario muttered softly underneath his breath, as he strongly felt that his fellow gang member's hunch about where the guards hid their drugs along with their fellow foot soldiers.

However...before the Templarios could even begin to look, that was the exact moment Sam had silently entered the warehouse and crept up behind the Templario standing guard.

"Hey, buddy." The reddish blonde whispered softly, which earned the Hispanic gang member's surprise as he swiftly turned around...and was immediately knocked out cold by Sam after he struck him across his face with the stock of his shotgun!

"Sweet dreams." He jokingly stated while chuckling softly at the Hispanic thug he swiftly knocked unconscious as the Morales siblings entered the warehouse and after taking precise aim, fired at least 2 silenced shots with the bullets striking and passing through the two Hispanic thugs backs, causing them to moan out in pain before collapsing to their knees and laying flat on their stomachs!

"Hey what?!" The 4th and final Templario gang member cried out in shock, as he heard his two fellow thugs collapsing onto the ground and staring in shock as he turned to see them lying in pools of their own blood and attempted to draw out a 2nd Gen model Glock 17 semi-auto handgun...but never got the chance to use it, due to John firing a single 9mm bullet that silently passed right between his eyes and causing him to stumble backwards and crashing into a pallet rack, causing it tilt over and the various boxes already stacked on the shelves to fall all over him!

"Okay guys, lets find those drugs so we can get out of here." John stated calmly as he instructed his sister and friend/teammate to search the warehouse for the Templarios drugs.

"Roger/On it." Sam and Nikki answered as they nodded in agreement and immediately knew where to look for the heroin: the catwalk.

As soon as Sam and Nicole walked across the warehouse and up the metal staircase behind the storage room on the right side of the building to the catwalk above them, they instinctively ransacked the boxes stored on the tables and groaned softly in annoyance: as the crates they searched contained more useless junk; ranging from priceless bead necklaces and more Kodak camera cases. As the reddish blonde and his sister searched for the drugs, John couldn't help but wonder what the Templarios had done to the security guards as he, Nicole and Sam didn't see any bullet ridden bodies when they entered the building...but they did see several pools of dry blood smeared on the floor and knew that it didn't belong to the seven Hispanic thugs they took out; as they didn't have a scratch on them. Although, he didn't have to wonder where the guards were for long, as he heard light banging, along with muffled yelling coming from the closed storage room and after walking over and opening the closed door...John's eyes widened in shock as he found the guards, whom were tied up by their wrists/ankles in hem rope and had gray industrial tape placed over their mouths...and were severely beaten: as they had blood covering their faces, swollen left/right eyes and were drifting in and out on conscious!

"Oh my God." John muttered softly with a look of horror behind his mask after seeing how badly beaten the security guards had been by the Templarios to learn where they had placed their heroin.

Meanwhile, back on the catwalk...after searching the boxes for three whole minutes, Sam had broken a box open with the grip of his Desert Eagle and much to his extreme delight, he found what he and his group were after: as the box he opened held 10 bricks of white heroin!

"Queen, over here! I found the drugs!" The reddish blonde cried out while glancing over his shoulder and waving to his female teammate, who sprinted across the grated metal over to him and smiled behind her mask after seeing the rectangular shaped drugs.

"Ho ho, nice work Rook." Nicole stated while chuckling softly and breaking another box open with the grip of her H&K USP handgun, which held the same amount of heroin as the box that Sam opened.

"Knight, Rook and I found the drugs!" She automatically exclaimed as she called out to her brother, informing him that she and Sam found what they were looking for!

"Great work, sis. You and Rook know the drill." John replied with a soft smile behind his mask after hearing that his sister and Sam had found the drugs while glancing over his shoulder: as the Templario foot soldier who Sam knocked out cold was slowly regaining consciously and picking himself up from the floor...and cried out/moaned in pain after Morales landed a swift punch to his face, which rendered him unconscious once again!

"Yeah, don't we know it." Nikki stated dryly and sarcastically as she and Sam turned to each other and shrugged before the reddish blonde took out the duffel bag that he had been carrying over his left shoulder and held it open while she placed the drugs in the bag as quickly as she could without ripping the plastic wrapped around them and opened two more additional boxes, which also contained ten bricks of white heroin.

After Nicole filled the bag with all twenty bricks of heroin, she took out the duffel bag she had been carrying over her shoulder and began to fill it with the other 20 bricks while Sam securely zipped up his bag and threw it over his shoulder. As soon as the 2nd bag was full, Nikki had placed it over her shoulder and bolted down the cold metal steps with Sam right behind her. Once they had rejoined John back on the ground floor, the three friends exited the warehouse and sprinted up the road to the 2003 Savana, where John opened the side panel door for his sister and Sam as they tossed the two duffel bags in the van. Once they loaded the bags, John and his team also climbed into the gray painted van and after they buckled up, Carter inserted the keys into the ignition and drove off.

"Wooo! Now that's my idea of a walk in the park!" Sam playfully cried out with a bright smile on his face as he lifted up his mask and bumped fists with John and Nicole, whom also sported similar grins.

"You can say that again brother. That was much easier than I thought." Nikki replied as she strongly agreed with the reddish blonde while sharing a bright grin with her brother as they high-fived each other and Sam on a job well done: as they had obtained the drugs without alerting and getting into a shootout with the Templarios.

"How do you guys think Denny, Kate and Mike are doing on their end?" Sam softly asked as he was deeply curious on how Conroy and his team were probably doing in Old Bruno, along with Nicole.

"I'm sure that Denny, Michael and Caitlin are just fine. They can take care of themselves." John answered as he strongly felt that his friend and leader, along with his group were fine while leaning back against his seat.

"I hope you're right John." Nikki softly stated...as she was worried about a certain redhead.

~Meanwhile at Old Bruno~

After departing from Midtown and driving for what like an hour and 20 minutes, Denny and his group had eventually arrived at the neighborhood of Old Bruno and their main destination: a strip mall on 12th Terrance Street and spotted a small crowd of people who were walking across the plaza.

"Oh God, there's too many people here." Kate muttered softly as she and Mike stared in surprise at seeing the number of civilians whom walking outside and shopping inside the department stores.

"How do you want to do this Denny?" Michael softly asked as he, Caitlin, Denny and Royce glanced out the right side windows of the cargo van.

"We can't make our entry here, it's too obvious. We'll need to park somewhere that's close and can give us a birds eye view of the plaza." Conroy answered as he naturally knew that attempting to enter the strip mall through the front was a mistake: due to all the civilians and more importantly: the two security guards whom lazily pacing back and forth in front of the liquor and jewelry store departments and pointed out on how they would need to park somewhere which gave them a perfect view of the plaza and thankfully spotted the answer: a nearby parking ramp which was adjacent to the roof of the strip mall.

"There." He automatically added while pointing to the parking structure with his teammates and their driver glancing in the direction the brunette was pointing at.

"On it." Royce stated whilst nodding in agreement with Denny's judgment.

"Hold up Royce, let me off here. I'll be able to keep a lookout for the Cobras from the plaza." Michael swiftly stated as he volunteered to keep an eye out for the Cobras from the plaza whilst Denny and Kate robbed the mall.

"Mike, are you sure?" The redhead asked.

"You guys need a pair of eyes from outside the mall. Plus, to the guards, I'll just be another civilian strolling around the plaza." The African American stated casually as he pointed out to Caitlin on how she and Denny would need someone to inform of whatever was going outside as they hit the department stores and how the guards wouldn't pay any attention to him: as they would think he was just another local window shopping.

"Kate, Mike's right. We'll need someone to be our eyes while we're in the mall." Denny stated as he naturally agreed with Michael's logic: how they would indeed need someone to inform them when the Cobras would arrive with Kate nodding in agreement.

As soon as Michael had climbed out of the van with his personal bag slumped over his shoulder, which housed his mask, sidearm and AKM assault rifle and casually walked towards the plaza, Royce instinctively drove up the street to the ramp and parked the Chevy cargo van on top of the structure while Denny and Kate slipped on their masks. Once they exited the Chevy cargo van, Conroy and Caitlin lifted up a wide wooden plank that was laying on the pavement and placed it across the adjacent concrete ledges, creating a makeshift bridge and much to their delight, the plank was sturdy. Although, before the brunette and redhead could cross...they immediately ducked down: as an African American security guard whom was making his rounds on the roof and much to their good fortune, he didn't see them as he stopped in front of the glass window to the security room. Once the guard walked away and around the corner of the rooftop entrance, Denny and Kate crossed over to the mall and casually walked past the window while snickering softly to themselves: as the security guard they spotted in the control room didn't even notice them as he was distracted solving a crossword puzzle.

Shortly after they snuck past the window, Denny silently glanced over from the corner of the wall and spotted the security guard, whom was leaning casually against the wall right beside the rooftop entrance door...and the security camera that was mounted directly above the door. But fortunately for the brunette and his female teammate, they didn't have to wait for the guard to move for long: as he began to pace around the goose neck vents before stopping to glance down towards the street. As soon as the guard's back was turned, Denny immediately drew out his Colt Commander and fired a single muffled gunshot that struck the camera and rendered it inoperable. Once the camera was destroyed, Caitlin silently crept out from behind cover while drawing out her 3rd Generation model Glock 17 handgun and sneaking up behind the guard.

"Down on the ground, 5-0." She stated softly, which caused the guard to turn around and stare in surprise before reluctantly dropping down to his knees and placing his hands behind his head.

"Thank you." The redhead softly added as she naturally tied the guard's wrists together with the zip tie he pulled out from her right pants pocket.

After both the security guard and 1st camera were dealt with, Denny stepped out from behind cover and approached the rooftop entrance, where he took out a lock pick and went straight to work in picking the lock to the door, which luckily didn't take long. As soon as he picked the lock and opened the door, the brunette spotted the 2nd security camera mounted to the wall outside the security room...which he swiftly took care of with a single bullet from his Colt Commander. Once the 2nd camera was disabled, Denny entered the mall with Caitlin right behind and went straight to work in picking the lock the security door, which only took a few seconds. After the door was unlocked, the brunette casually entered the security room with a huge grin plastered behind his mask covered face, along with Kate's...as the guard sitting behind the security station didn't even notice him as entered the room.

"Hands up numb nuts." Conroy stated casually as he aimed his Colt handgun at the guard, who swiftly turned in surprise before dropping to his knees while placing his police issued Colt Detective Special revolver onto the ceramic tile floor beside him.

"Good call." He automatically added as he instinctively reached into his right pants pocket and took out a zip tie, which he used to bind the guards wrists together.

"Bishop, the control room is secure. How are things out front?" Caitlin stated through her team's earwig radio as she informed Michael that she and Denny had secured the control room while asking for an update on how things were outside the mall.

"So far, everything's pretty much quiet Pawn. The Cobras still haven't shown yet, so we're good." The African American answered truthfully as he informed Kate that things outside the mall were still normal and he hadn't see any signs of the Cobra Familia while casually sitting behind an outdoor dining table in the far left corner of the plaza.

"Alright, thanks Bishop. Just remember to be ready for when the Cobras do finally show." Denny stated as he listened in on the conversation between Michael and Caitlin through his earwig and thanked his friend/teammate for the information while reminding him to be prepared for when the Cobras would eventually arrive.

"Copy that King. Just make sure that you Pawn work fast though. There are many people walking into the stores." Gerard stated professionally as he assured his friend and leader that he'd be ready for the Cobras while advising him and Caitlin to work as quickly as they could; due to the number of civilians who were shopping inside the stores.

"Copy." Conroy replied as he sat down behind the security console and couldn't help but groan softly in annoyance, as he swiftly discovered that Mike was right: as he counted at least a total 9 to 10 people in the jewelry, liquor and electronic departments with the three remaining security cameras.

"Jesus Christ. Denny...you know there's no way we can control that many people." Kate stated as she pointed out to her friend and leader on how they wouldn't be able to secure the civilians shopping in the stores: as the other civilians and more importantly the security guards would witness everything through the glass windows.

"Yes, I know that Kate. That's why we won't even bother. Once we go down the stairs, just fire a couple of warning shots to force everyone out." The brunette calmly replied as he knew that Caitlin was right and stated on how they would simply scare the civilians shopping in the stores out of the mall instead of securing them like they did with guards.

"Okay, I'm fine with that." The redhead stated casually while crossing her arms against her chest, showing that she was perfectly fine with Denny's method in clearing out the stores: as they wouldn't have to worry about the civilians getting caught in the crossfire once the Cobras showed and started duking it out with the guards and cops.

As soon as Denny deactivated the three remaining security cameras, he and Caitlin exited the control room and walked down the staircase to the ground/main floor of the mall...where they were encountered by a security guard entering through the rear entrance!

"Hey! How the did you...?" The guard cried out in surprise/shock after spotting the two masked robbers and was about to draw out his police issued Colt 1911A1...before stopping in his tracks as both the brunette and redhead drew out and aimed their Colt Commander and Glock 17 directly at him!

"Uh uh." Kate stated casually while nodding her head 'no', which was more than enough incentive for the guard to surrender and drop to the floor while placing his Colt on the floor beside him.

"Good call." Denny stated with a similar casual tone detected in his voice as he witnessed Caitlin secure the guard and binding his wrists together.

Although, as soon as Kate had tied the guard's hands together...that was when the earwigs in hers and Denny's ears came online.

"Denny. Denny, we have a problem." Michael stated softly as he contacted Conroy through the ear radios.

"What's the matter Mike?" The brunette asked, even though he had a rather good idea to what it was his friend was about to say, along with Caitlin...as they both heard the unmistakable sound of gunshots being fired and multiple screams over the radios.

"The Cobras just arrived and opened fire on the guards in the plaza." The African American answered as he informed his team leader that the Cobras had finally showed and immediately opened fire on the guards!

"Alright...Mike, you know what to do." Conroy stated casually while secretly glancing to Kate, who gave a simple nod and removed the silencer from the barrel of her Glock 17: as she knew the time for subtly was officially over.

"Copy." Michael replied as he opened his duffel bag and took out his mask, along with his AKM assault rifle and immediately ducked behind the table: as he spotted two security guards standing in front of the jewelry department and firing their issued Beretta 92FS handguns at the approaching Cobra Familia foot soldiers...and cried out before collapsing to the ground, covered in their own blood as a barrage of bullets swiftly passed through their unforms/bodies!

"What's the call Denny?" Caitlin asked while pulling back on the slide of her Glock.

"You grab the watches Kate. I'll get the liquor." The brunette answered softly, stating that he would hit the liquor store while the redhead robbed the jewelry department.

"Okay, its done." Kate replied, showing that she was perfectly fine with swiping the Rolexes they were after whilst her friend and leader obtained the liquor and other alcoholic drinks that Candace needed for the nightclub.

Without further discussion and wasting valuable time, Kate swiftly stepped inside the jewelry department and went straight to work: as she shattered the multiple glass display cases set up throughout the store with a single swing from the butt of her Glock. Once the display cases were busted open, the redhead immediately laid her duffel bag wide open and began filling it with as many Rolex watches, along with additional white/rose gold rings, necklaces/pendants and bracelets that she could grab. Although, as she loaded the watches and additional jewelry into her bag, Kate instinctively drew out her Glock as she witnessed two Cobra Familia foot soldiers; one armed with a standard Colt 1911 and the other armed a Ruger P95 storming into the jewelry department...and quickly dropped to the floor; as she fired two separate gunshots that passed right through their chests!

Unfortunately for Kate, however...as soon as she shot and killed the two Dominican street thugs who attempted to kill her, the four gunshots she fired naturally earned the attention of the other Cobra Familia gang members and remaining security guards, who contacted the Rockay City Police Department for assistance as they continued to engage the ruthless Latin American gangsters. As she continued to stuff the watches and jewelry in her duffel bag, Caitlin immediately ducked behind cover, as two more Cobra Familia foot soldiers armed with Uzi machine pistols approached the jewelry department and unleashed a hail of bullets that shattered the glass windows and struck the walls! But much to the redhead's good fortune, as soon as the two idiot thugs stopped and steadily walked forward, they both cried out and spat out a mouthful of blood; as small burst of bullets passed right through their backs as they collapsed to the glass riddled floor!

As soon as the two Dominican gang members were dead, Kate stood up from behind the display case she ducked behind and smiled brightly underneath her mask, as the person who shot and killed the two Cobras was none other than Michael.

"Queen, you okay?" Michael asked as he slung his AKM over his shoulder and drew out his Taurus PT92AFS handgun.

"I'm alright Bishop. Thanks." Kate answered truthfully before they turned back outside and instantly ducked behind cover, as they spotted three more Cobra foot soldiers: one armed with Jericho 941R handgun, one armed with a Steyr TMP and Uzi running up the plaza and ducking behind the sitting wall for cover as they fired a small number of bullets in their direction!

"Did you get what we came for?" The African American asked while taking aim and firing three bullets in return at the Cobra foot soldier firing the Uzi, whom ducked behind and blind fired a small burst of bullets in return that ironically hit nothing.

"Yeah, I did. I got the watches...along with a few extras." Caitlin answered casually, confirming that she indeed obtained the Rolexes while firing four-five bullets from her Glock at the Cobra firing the Steyr TMP, whom luckily jumped back behind cover and fired a small burst of 9mm bullets in retaliation, that thankfully missed.

"Where's King?" Mike asked, as he was curious to where Denny was.

"He's the in the liquor department." She answered truthfully, stating how their friend and leader was obtaining the liquor that Candace asked for.

"Okay, let's wait for him near the..." Michael attempted to say before stopping in mid-sentence...as he and Kate glanced back to the plaza and stared in silent surprise: as they spotted three Rockay City Police Department issued Chevy Impalas and a Hummer SUV parking parallel on the street in front of the mall!

"Fuck, its the cops!" The Cobra Familia foot soldier wielding the Jericho cried out as he and the rest of his thugs stared in surprise as they heard the sirens on the hoods of the Impalas blaring out from the distance.

"Rockay PD! Drop those weapons and get down on the ground!" One of the police officers cried out as he and his fellow officers exited the police issued sedans and knelt down while drawing out their Beretta and Glock 17's handguns!

"Fuck you!" The Cobra gang member wielding the Steyr TMP yelled back while scoffing in defiance and immediately fired a burst of 9mm bullets at the cops...whom ducked behind their cars and immediately returned fire; firing a number of bullets that struck the arrogant street thug and caused him to yell before he collapsed flat on his back!

"We'll make entry in the front! The rest of you, try to sneak in through the side entrance!" The senior officer cried out as he instructed half of his fellow officers to enter the mall from the side whilst he and the rest of their men attempted to breach through the store entrances.

"Yes, sir!" A small handful of the cops cried out as they understood their fellow officer's orders and did as he commanded as they sprinted across the plaza to the back of the mall.

~Meanwhile with Denny~

Shortly after he and Caitlin separated to carry out their own tasks, Conroy had entered the liquor department and immediately went work: as he opened the zipper to his duffel bag and swiftly placed a number of expensive bottles ranging from Jack Daniels, Kahlua, Tito's, Crown Royal, Budweiser and Jim Beam. However...as he filled the bag with 15 bottles of alcoholic beverages, the brunette instinctively glanced towards the front entrance and spotted an RCPD officer barging through the door.

"Freeze! Step away from the bag and get down on your knees!" The cop exclaimed as he drew out and aimed his Glock at Conroy!

"Sorry copper, but it ain't gonna happen." Denny countered plainly as he swiftly drew out his Colt Commander faster than the officer and fired two bullets, that passed through the cop's chest and witnessed him drop to the ground while firing two shots that ended up striking the ceiling.

After he shoot the police officer, Denny continued to loot the liquor department and after he had swiped 10 more additional bottles from the shelves around the store, his bag was soon filled.

"Pawn, Bishop. This is King. How are things going on your end?" The brunette asked as he contacted Kate and Michael on their earwigs while swiftly ducking behind a shelve: as he spotted two more Rockay City police officers running towards the liquor department after hearing the gunshots and instinctively got behind opposite sides of the threshold as he fired two rounds at them!

"This is Pawn, I hear you King. Bishop and I have the watches...but we've got our hands full with the cops and fuckin' Cobras." Kate answered as she informed Denny that she and Michael had obtained the Rolexes while firing three shots: with one missing, while the other two hit their mark and struck an RC police officer running towards the jewelry store while firing his Beretta and Michael firing a small burst, that struck and killed a Cobra Familia foot soldier firing an Uzi!

"That's great Pawn. I got the liquor we came for. Let's get the hell outta here." Conroy replied, showing he was pleased that Caitlin and Mike had obtained the watches while loading a fresh clip into his Colt and fired three bullets that struck and killed the cop shooting behind the left side of the threshold outside the mall.

"With pleasure." The redhead stated as she and Michael smiled underneath their masks after hearing their friend and leader state that he acquired the liquor that Candace asked them to steal and were both ready to head back to the hideout.

As soon as they broke contact, Denny took a deep breath before he swiftly broke out of cover and fired three precise gunshots: with the first two passing through the 2nd police officer's lower abdomen and the 3rd passing right above and through his left shoulder, which caused the unfortunate cop to groan and collapse to the ground on his knees before falling over to his side. As the 2nd police officer had been left badly wounded, as he clung onto life, Conroy zipped up the duffel bag, threw it over his shoulder and ran out of the liquor store and into the main corridor...which was the exact moment Kate had exited the jewelry store with Michael providing cover fire as he fired three small bursts from his AKM and swiftly loaded a new clip once the previous one was out.

Once they had obtained what they came for, Denny and his group had ran up the staircase as fast as they could...as they heard the side entrance door breaking off its hinges and glanced back just in time to see a small mob of cops chasing after them while firing a couple of shots from their Glocks and Berettas, which thankfully missed and only struck the walls. As they ran up the stairs and past the security room, the brunette and his team ran out onto the rooftop and across the wooden bridge to the parking ramp and immediately tossed the plank over the side...so the cops couldn't follow them. After the made it across, Conroy and his group approached the Chevy cargo, opened the side door and gently placed the two bags carrying their cargo inside. Once the bags were in, Denny and his team climbed into the van with Royce inserting the key into the ignition and driving like a bat of hell as he sped down the street far away from the mall and much to their good fortune... the cops were unable to pursue them: as they were preoccupied subduing and arresting the remaining Cobra Familia foot soldiers who eventually surrendered and tending to their wounded fellow officers.

A/N: There it everyone, the 3rd chapter to my Payday fanfic as promised. I would like to apologize to my fans and fellow Fanfic authors if the 3rd chapter seems rushed or beating around the bush. It was the best I could do with what I could think of at the time.

Until next time, bye.
