A/N: I hope you enjoy teasing, because this chapter's full of it.

Kensi pulled up in front of a small, but well-maintained house with olive siding and white accents. She walked him up to the door, admiring his profile as he dug keys out of his pocket. There was something oddly intimate about knowing where he lived now, even though it was technically within the context of work. She was sure that if he'd really wanted to, Deeks could have asked to be dropped at the station house.

"You know, I expected something a little more bachelor paddy," she commented, examining the perfect edging around the windows and door.

Deeks mused an amused sound, waggling his eyebrows as he bent his conspiratorially. "You haven't seen the inside yet. Just nudes and ceiling mirrors everywhere."

"It is not."

"Oh, yes, it's completely debauchery floor to ceiling," he insisted facetiously. "Seriously though, I think you're overestimating my dating prowess. Not to say that I couldn't if I wanted to," he amended quickly, "but, uh, I don't have the time."

"Uh-huh. Don't worry, I'll keep your deep, dark secret to myself," Kensi promised. During their conversation, she'd slowly closed the space between them. They didn't have much time, but if Deeks was willing, she was sure they could make good use of it.

Letting her eyes drift over Deeks, she settled her hands just above his hips, tucking her thumbs into his belt loops. He gave another little huff of laughter when she tugged him forward to align their bodies.

Deeks leaned closer, so close she could feel his breath against her lips. She tipped her chin up automatically, stretching that little bit farther in her absolute need to have his mouth on hers. His beard brushed her bottom lip…and then at the last second, he dipped to the left, and kissed her cheek.

Kensi whined in protest, and a good amount of outrage, even as the skin over her cheekbone flared with heat. Deeks pulled back, humor dancing in his eyes.

"That was rude," Kensi complained, grasping the back of his head and futilely trying to draw him back to her. After a few seconds she gave up with a huff and settled for running her hands up his chest.

"I'm sorry," Deeks apologized. Though Kensi didn't think he look even slightly sorry. "It's just, when we kiss for the first time, I'd really like it to be after an uninterrupted date and preferably without either of us rushing off to go save the day."

Kensi sighed heavily. "I suppose you're right. Doesn't make me happy though."

She smoothed her hands across his shirt, running her thumb across the outline of his nipple. Deeks shivered and trapped her wandering fingers between his hand and chest, chuckling in a low, throaty sound that made her want to do it again.

"Somebody's feeling frisky," he observed, skin crinkling around his eyes with his smile.

"You have no idea," Kensi whispered fervently. Deeks closed his eyes for a beat, the top of his cheeks taking on just a tinge of color. It was surprisingly satisfying to know he wasn't as in control as he pretended. After a moment, he looked down at her again, his hand low on her back.

"I know you need to get back, but you want to come in for a minute? I can whip something up," he offered.

"While I would love to," Kensi swayed towards him and trailed her fingers down his bottom lip. "I think that would be counterproductive to your desire to wait for that kiss. Unless you changed your mind."

Deeks shook his head, teasing smile backt. "No, I didn't." He kissed her cheek again, finally turning the doorknob. "Be careful and call me if anything comes up, ok?"

"I will," Kensi promised. "And don't go on any more rescue missions without me. I'd like to you see you intact for that date."

"I'll do my best," he said, a mischievous entering his eyes as he leaned close again and whispered. "After all, I have some pretty big plans for our date too."

And then before she could form a suitable response, he slipped through the open door.
