Texan Agent Katie Green snuck into a Enclave military facility after dark. The Republic of Texas was not surprised by the fact that the Free States and the Enclave worked out some sort of deal. However, when large shipments from each of the Free States started crossing into Night City, the Texan government became suspicious. As such they dispatched their own agents to find out what was going on after previously being only mildly interested.
Haven stolen a basic uniform, Agent Green was able to sneak in unnoticed. Allowing her to reach the main building of the facility, her forged papers gaining her access inside. However those papers could only get her so far as higher level security would know right away that they were fake. So she looked for a way to sneak into were she needed to go. Eventually Green managed to find what looked to be either a testing room or a accessibly room. As there were scientists over looking combat bots. She decided to go up one that looked like they wouldn't be too suspicious of her asking questions.
"Hey, so I'm new here and I would like to know a little bit more about what I am guarding." Green asked sounding plausible enough.
"We are testing out some basic models of Combat Bots we sent out to be produced. Trying to work out the kinks before we put them into full production to support the troops on the ground. We don't have the resources for heavy armor at the moment as you know, however having a bot for every 50 men should do the trick." The scientist tells her.
"What if the AI goes rouge?"
"The AI is too simple for that, but in the off chance it does happen it will be a one off on a single bot. As each bot is independent from each other and are too simple to connect to any sort of network."
"What if the code itself is corrupted?"
"Then we scrap it, create a new code from scratch and kill all of the rouge bots. At the end of the day, these things are meant to kill a lot of people but not really survive battles if struck by heavy weapons fire."
"Then how are we going to keep up with the NUSA's armored forces?"
"Isn't that what power armor is for? Of course there is Paul Bunyan, however I don't know to much about that as I am not on that project personally. Just know bits and pieces from people who actually are."
"What do you know?"
"Supposed to have been some massive weapon to push the Chinese out of Alaska or something. That's about it."
