Family. Dinner. Chaos.
There is a lively violence about Seiji-san when he interacts with his older sister.
Tripping in through the door with a shiny, brand-new cookbook and a detailed request for tonight's dinner, she is an absolute flurry of energy—something that Takashi now has to reckon the Matoba family name with.
Then, a short to-the-point introduction that has her insisting on 'Shinobu-san'. At the very least!
"What the hell—we can't just make whatever you want!" Seiji-san has frazzled cat energy.
"I know you can't. You're helpless." She gives a little shake of her head. "But I know your husband will figure it out, won't you, Natori?"
Shuuichi has come between the two of them and taken ahold of the book before it can turn into a projectile.
"And Natsume-kun! You'll help too, right?"
"Aha, I'd be happy to—" She smiles encouragingly. "…Shinobu-san." He ducks his head, feeling red.
With impeccable timing, Nyanko-sensei makes his debut, lightly hopping up onto the counter.
"Eep!" Shinobu-san herself hops behind Seiji-san.
His cat tilts his head, a familiar mischievous grin playing at his whiskers. He dips his head in greeting.
"Matoba-san."
And it wasn't coordinated but both Takashi and Shuuichi drag a hand down their faces. Shinobu-san looks in turn at each of them, and finally back to Nyanko-sensei.
"…It talks?!"
Grocery shopping with such a large group is never efficient nor peaceful, but tonight, there is very good reason not to leave the siblings alone.
