My disappointment with the original ending of Mass Effect 3 was, I think, shared by many. At the time I thought I had to do something about it. What I didn't expect was for my wish to be granted by being transplanted into the Mass Effect universe, where I had to fix an awful lot more than I expected. I was chosen because I had thought it through and because I knew what pain and suffering was. Now I have the chance to see if my ideas can help Shepard save the galaxy. SI.

Unwilling to give up their reliance on artificial intelligence, humans decline the offer to join the Citadel after the First Contact War. However many in the Systems Alliance recognize where that leaves humanity compared to the other races - far behind the curve. As humans scheme to catch up, the Council finds itself wary of its new neighbors. (Some Halo thrown in)
