Sleeping Patterns l
The night had fallen like a heavy blanket over the freezing city of Moscow and a soft pattering of snow fell on the already white laden ground outside while an icy wind blew in gusts. The snowfall grew heavier with every passing moment, soon turning into an unexpected snow storm.
In the Blitzkrieg household, everything was quiet and all lights were out. It was as warm in the house as it was outside, the heaters and blankets not giving much warmth to the occupants of the house.
A redhead poked his messy and sleepy face out of the covers and sitting up, let out an exaggerated sigh as he looked to his left and saw Bryan laid starfished on the bed with his head buried in the pillows.
Bryan cocked up his head hearing the sigh and glanced to his side seeing his captain make his way out of the covers and getting out of bed before planting his feet on the cold floor, stretching his lean body and letting out a quiet yawn.
Turning back towards the bed, he leaned over and picked up his blanket from the bed and strode out towards the door, carrying the blanket out of the room, causing Bryan to raise a lavender brow.
"The fuck you doing?" He groaned hoarsely, sleepy eyes scanning the weird actions of his captain.
Tala stopped in his tracks and turned his head towards Bryan.
"I can't sleep," He hissed at the other still lying on the bed.
Giving Bryan a glare that didn't look much threatening thanks to his bed head, he took himself out of the room and slammed the door with a loud bang.
Confused as hell, Bryan cursed under his breath and flopped back down on the bed with a soft thud and put the covers that Tala had thankfully not taken, on himself.
Tala padded slowly on soft steps towards the room next to his and Bryan's and knocked his knuckles on the door before letting himself in anyways and made his way over to the bed lying in the middle of the room.
"Couldn't you knock or something?" a sleepy voice murmured from under the covers before the slate haired took his face out and glared at the unwelcomed visitor.
Pouting, Tala took himself to the other side of the bed and placed his blankets on top of Kai's.
"I did," Still pouting, he mumbled as he stood there with his hands on his hips and fixed his eyes on the bed occupied by Kai.
"Well, you really did a goddamn job knocking, cuz i didn't freakin' hear you," Kai accused as he searched for the switch of the lamp and after finding it, turned it on, lighting the room and going back on glaring at the stupid redhead that had ruined his sleep.
"As if. I know, and you know damn well that you heard it. You are that paranoid you can even hear someone's heart beating from behind the door," rolling his eyes, he lifted Kai's blanket and crawled his way in, throwing his own covers on the floor in the process.
Kai let out an annoyed sigh as Tala made himself at home in his blanket, on his bed, in his god damn room.
"The fuck you doing?" Tala snickered at the words which got Kai even more annoyed.
"The fuck's so funny?" Pushing the redhead aside, he made a place for himself that the redhead had so discreetly intruded, and stared with a frown at Tala who had gone for chuckling just to rile Kai up.
"Well, that's the same words Bryan said when he saw me sneaking out," He snickered once more, before letting out a huge yawn and shoving his face in Kai's neck. Kai scrunched his nose at the warm breath tickling the side of his face, but supressed the urge to throw the other down the bed.
"Care to tell why the fuck you just barged in my room and now are taking most of my sleeping space when you do have your own goddamn bed," Kai asked, flicking the lamp switch off and throwing the room in darkness.
"It's cold," Tala whined, Kai raised an amused eyebrow at the pouting face and his lips curled into a smirk.
"Hn, the little wolfie is feeling cold," Kai teased the redhead whose cheeks flushed hard as he sat up and picking up the pillow that was lying beside, shoved it on Kai's thick head.
"I'm not a fuckin' little wolfie"
Kai let out an amused chuckle at the redhead getting all offended at the nickname Kai had oh so lovingly given him.
"Oh but you are"
"Am not!"
"You are!"
"Am not!"
"You are!"
"Am not!"
Clutching Kai's wrist tightly with both hands, he sat on his stomach while Kai tried to wriggle his hands out of Tala's grip but succeeded in getting them twisted so that they hurt, hissing at the painful grasp.
"I am nottt!!!"
Kai smirked at the whiny redhead stradling him and whispered smoothly.
"You are"
Will you two goddamn keep your fucking mouths shut or not??!!!!"
Startled at the scolding coming from Spencer, the two gripped onto each other before chuckling amusingly, foreheads touching.
Placing a quick kiss on Kai's lips, Tala smirked and got himself off the dual haired before grabbing the sheets and laying down beside him.
Kai turned his head towards the stupid redhead and Tala leaned into Kai, wrapping an arm over the other. Kai smiled at the action and breathed in the scent of the other.
"Goddamn fuckin' hell, Tala!!!"
The two turned their heads at the loud cursing and fixed their gazes on Bryan standing in the doorway, not having knocked and all, which caused Kai to note in his head to lock the fucking door before going to bed.
Tala pulled himself closer to Kai, their cheeks touching, and also put a leg over the other's and stared quirkily at the dumbass standing before them.
Kai took hold of his leg that was tangled with his and tried to shove it away with no success. Bryan pulled himself from the doorway, closing the door non too gently and stepped over to Kai's side of the bed.
"The fuck you doing here?" Bryan questioned the redhead, the later still trying to get closer to Kai and getting pushed by the dual haired again and again.
"I was cold, so i couldn't sleep," He stated matter of factly, rolling his blue eyes.
"Then why are you here?"
Kai and Tala looked accusedly at Bryan who rolled his eyes at their expressions and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Because, Kai's bed is warm," He drawled out, giving Bryan a bored look and sitting up, Kai doing the same, throwing a deadly glare at Bryan.
"And ours isn't?"
Tala raised his head from where he had placed it on Kai's shoulder, frowning at Bryan.
"No, it isn't," Another eye roll with a retort came from the redhead, who pulled the covers over himself and and also draped it over Kai's shoulders.
"Now if you don't mind, we'd like to sleep," Tala sneered at Bryan. Bryan moved closer to the bed, his knees touching the edge of the bed.
Kai watched the two boys bickering, regretting not locking the door to his room in the first place, running a hand through his already tousled hair.
How he always got stuck between the childish bickering of the two was something he never knew. Wish he could go and live somewhere alone so that he could atleast sleep peacefully.
"JUST FUCK OFF, BRY!!! I DON'T WANNA WASTE MY BREATHE FIGHTING WITH YOU!!!"
Oh great now, his fucking ears were ringing... Tala sure could scream like a girl when he wanted...
"Would you just shut the fuck up??!!"
Apparantly, they wanted to have some more of their conversation.
Kai's eyebrow twitched as the two kept throwing insults at each other and calling each other any and every name under the sun, Tala having raised himself on his knees, one hand clutching onto Kai's shoulder for support while the other held onto a pillow which he kept hitting Bryan with, who ducked each clumsy blow with seemingly no effort.
Tala pouted when the pillow he was using to violate Bryan fell on the floor and landed at his feet who gathered it up and threw it straight at his face, catching him right at the nose, Tala's face became as red as his hair. He huffed and placed his hands on his hips, the other two snickering at his antics making him pout and sulk.
Another yell came down the hall, from Spencer's room.
"Will the three of you fucking shut up and let the others fucking sleep. I'm getting a goddamn fucking headache over here!!!"
...
Usually, Spencer was the only one in their team who cursed the least, not because he did not have an excellent vocabulary, but just because he was more reserved. The cursing now though told them that they had really pissed him off.
They muttered out a "Fine, Spence" that obviously got unheard by the latter. Tala stared at Kai before shifting his eyes to Bryan's and gave him a look.
Bryan did the same and threw a filthy glare at the redhead which Tala reciprocated with an even filthier one before shifting on his side and laying down, his back facing the two and muttered,
"Tell him to go the fuck away, Kai. I want to sleep," and shifted once again, getting comfortable and settling down after finding a good position.
Kai turned to look at Bryan, who was glaring daggers at Tala's back before locking eyes with Kai's. The dual haired raised a slate eyebrow. Bryan looked over at the redhead and a foreign look appeared in his eyes for some seconds before he turned on his heels and made his way to the door.
"Bryan"
He stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder at hearing his name being whispered, a frown appearing along his eyebrows at Kai beckoning him towards the bed.
He retracted back, Kai moving over towards Tala and raising the corner of the blanket. Bryan reluctantly eyed the empty space before slipping in the warmth.
Feeling Kai leaning closer to him, Tala turned and glared at Bryan lying on the other side of Kai. Kai shook his head and rolled his eyes before giving Tala a fixed look.
"Don't start any shit now"
"'Okay'"
Kai let out a small smile at Tala's pouting face and pulled the sheets over the trio of them, Bryan and Tala wraping their arms around him, Tala's head nestling in the crook of his neck while Bryan lay his over his shoulder, both calming down at being enveloped by the body heat of Kai.
Tala whined something and Bryan perched his head up, searched Tala's face in the darkness now that Kai had again turned off the lamp.
Tala let out something that sounded like a curse and tightened his grip on Kai's waist. Kai carded his hand through the red hair of the boy, the action making him calm.
"He okay?" Bryan whispered in Kai's ear, watching as Kai slowly stroked the redhead's hair and placed a soft kiss on his temple.
As to answer his question, icy blue orbs opened, glistening and standing out in the dark, locking with Bryan's smoky grey ones and giving him a soft smile.
Bryan visibly relaxed and returned the smile with one of his own, circling the arm over Kai's around Tala and pulling both of them closer to him.
Kai's eyes shone with amusement at the antics of the two, a playful smirk curling along his lips.
"Why don't just kiss?" The two startled out of their reverie, looking at Kai still smirking at them, slight blush adorning their cheeks.
"The fuck you said that?" Tala whispered, still blushing, voice cracking over the last words as he hesitantly lifted his eyes to Bryan's.
Kai shrugged his shoulders, as much as he could within the limited space. Bryan sighed and clutched the fabric of Tala's shirt with the hand that wrapped around him, Tala lifting a leg and placed it over Kai's, snuggling even closer.
Trapped between the two, Kai watched on slowly as their breathing slowed and their eyes fell shut, sleep over taking them, still glued to his side.
Resisting the urge to roll his eyes at the stupid behaviour of the two, he sighed softly and closed his crimson eyes.
He let Bryan pull him and Tala even closer, still in his sleep. He let Tala hold his hand who was also lost in the deep layers of sleep.
And he let himself be pulled into the strange worlds that the other had also joined, his breathing becoming shallow as he let sleep overtake him.
