A Hero's Life Reboot EP 1: Alien meets Spy
Hello everyone! And welcome to the revamped version of A Spy's Life Reboot! I hope you enjoy the changes I made, regarding my profile changes, which if you have not seen, I recommend checking out. And I will also change some chapters as well. I hope you enjoy my new version and remember to like and leave reviews if you want. But no flames or haters, because Internet trolls and bullies are not cool!
I also like to state that I have been updating all my chapters of this story and Magical Alien Summer with Grammarly to make them more understandable.
Now for the alien designs!
1. Grey Matter will have his 11-year-old Omniverse design and voice actor, but his jumpsuit will have the stripe design of his reboot counterpart, but in white and black and has green fingerless gloves and toeless leggings.
2. Fasttrack will have an Omniverse design from RZGmon200, but it's an old version of him before DJW released the official design. He will have some white mixed in his suit's colors and the Omnitrix will be moved and his voice actor Roger Craig Smith.
3. Big Chill will have his Alien Force design and voice actor, but he will have his Omniverse belt.
4. Humungousaur will have his reboot design and voice actor, but he will have clothing inspired by his Omniverse counterpart.
5. Upgrade will have his reboot design and voice actor, but he will have the colors of his classic counterpart.
6. Swampfire will have his Omniverse design and voice actor, but his Omnitrix will move to his chest.
7. Water Hazard will have a mixture of his Ultimate Alien and Omniverse designs, and his voice actor will be Omniverse.
8. Slapback will have an OV design with green mixed in, made by RZGmon200, and have his voice actor from the reboot.
9. Rath will have his reboot design and voice actor, but will have clothing based on his Omniverse design, but no mask.
10. Shock Rock will have an OV design, also made by RZGmoon200, and have his reboot voice actor.

It was a sunny and cheerful day in the busy city of Beavery Hills, California! Teens were hanging out with their friends at the mall, or shopping for the latest fashion while others had fun on the sunny beach. Cars honked as they tried to make it to their high-paying jobs or a date. But 1 teen was not happy as she walked down the street. The girl is a 16-year-old with short black hair in a curly bob cut and light brown eyes. She has brown skin and is wearing a black, belly button-showing tank top with small pink hearts on the top, a knee-length green skirt, and matching heeled leather boots that stop below her knees. Her name is Alexandra Vasquez or Alex for short.
Alex isn't just your average teenager. She was part of a secret spy organization for crime-stopping around the globe called 'WOOHP': The World Organization of Human Protection. But she wasn't anymore. Lately, she's been feeling useless in her work because she made several mistakes over her latest missions. At first, she thought she could improve herself, but things took a turn for the worse.
A new girl named Brittany showed up and proved to be a better version of the girl. Even her best friends, Sam and Clover, love the rookie more than her. After an incident in Mexico City with the latest mission, Alex decided to quit the team, thinking they were better off without her. And here she is now: A former spy walking with her head down and tears in her eyes.
"Well, I better get to work on that extra credit project. It's not like I have anything better to do right now. Besides, Sam and Clover can wrap the mission up a lot faster without me. 'SIGH'" Alex kept walking with her arms crossed and head down. Just as she was passing by a park, she heard thunder in the sky. She glanced up and saw what looked like a small, floating orb of green and white energy, building in the skies above the empty park. "What is that?" The girl whispers.
Just then, the orb shot down to the ground in a bolt of lightning, making it crash with a bang. The girl shields herself as it dies down and glances to see some smoke coming from where the bolt impacted. She decided to investigate, following the smoke deep into the park. As she walks by some trees, she is surprised to see the impact area. Some of the trees have bent slightly and a couple of benches were overturned and a small, dying dust cloud is in the center of the wreckage. But as Alex slowly approaches the cloud, she dispels it and gasps in shock at what she found!
It was a young boy who looked like he had just turned 11 years old with pale skin and skinny for his age. He has brown hair under a black and green beanie cap. He is wearing a black t-shirt with cyber green lines and a green 10 in center with matching pants, except they both were mostly shredded up with the pants to his thighs with scratch and light burn marks on his legs and the shirt only covering his chest and some scratches on his arms. He had black and white shoes, which were luckily intact, and silver with an emerald, necklace. But the thing that stood out the most was a bulky watch on his left wrist. It was mostly white with a black strip and ends. It has 4 green tubes connected to a silver dial with 4 green buttons on it. On it is a green hourglass on a black background with a green button below the dial. The boy is unconscious as he lies on his back.
"Oh my goodness! Kid! Are you okay?! Say something!" The teen tried to shake the boy awake but only got a groan in response. She checks his pulse and sighs. "Good. He's still breathing. I better take him to the nurse's office at the school! It's closer there and the wounds only look mild." As Alex was about to pick him up, the watch started sparking green lightning and beeping and flashing, much to her shock. "What the?!" "Malfunction detected in Omnimatrix Systems. Rebooting all systems."
Alex wasn't sure what was more shocking! The fact that the watch spoke in a computer version of what could be the boy's voice or the fact that it started to glow green with black circuit lines. The dial starts rotating as it changes shape. The glow died down as Alex saw it change its look.
The watch now has the rim of the dial white and has 4 green arrows, and the area behind the hourglass is now the same color as the new wristband: grey. The outer band is black with green arrows, and the sides of the dial and the ends of the wristband are silver. The top of the grey wristband has a green hourglass underneath the dial. The top of the dial is now black. Unlike the last version, this model does not have tube-like circuitry.
"Reboot completed! All systems are active! 10 aliens now available on Playlist 1." Alex widens her eyes at the watch's words. Did it say 'alien'?! Who is this kid? And what is up with his watch? Deciding to push it aside, she picks him up and runs to her high school, unaware of the boy briefly opening his eyes to get a glance at her before falling asleep. "Hang in there."
The screen is black, only for a bolt of green lightning to make a flash of white light as upbeat music is heard.
Ben stands as he is smirking at the camera as a black with green bubbles background is behind the tween, making the boy raise both his arms and show off his new Omnitrix and then slap down with a grin, making a flash of light.
"BEN 10!"
"He's a kid and he wants to have fun!"
Upgrade with hands on hips appears as a close-up of his face shows up in the background as a bolt of lightning comes down.
Big Chill flies across and freezes as the same thing happens to Swampfire, leaping out of an explosion.
"But when you need a superhero, he gets the job done!"
"BEN 10!"
Shock Rock smashes his fists together, sending out waves of electricity that affect the 4th wall.
"With A device that he wears on his arm."
"He can change his shape and save the world from harm!"
Ben poses with his Omnitrix, just as headshots of Shock Rock, Water Hazard, Big Chill, and Swampfire show up, one-by-one.
Rath was staring at Grey Matter, who hopped along a bunch of platforms with the watch symbol on it while the tiger alien was confused before it turned into rage as he held his head in anger.
"When trouble's taking place."
Ben was then running towards the screen.
"He gets right in its face!"
"BEN 10!"
Humungousaur, Slapback, Fasttrack and Upgrade's headshots show up as well!
A green circuit board background is shown as 5 aliens show up in a row while Ben is staring at the 4th wall as his right side is shown. The aliens are Shock Rock, Fasttrack, Rath, Swampfire, and 4 Slapbacks.
"When lives are on the line."
The same thing happens with his left side as more aliens appear. The aliens are now: Big Chill, Water Hazard, Grey Matter, Humungosaur, and Upgrade, which is still in normal form.
"It's hero time!"
"BEN 10!"
It ends with Ben and Alex, standing side to side with crossed arms and smirks as the title appears above.
Ben was groaning as he slowly opened his eyes, looking up at the ceiling. Groaning in dismay, he sat up and rubbed his head, noticing his cap and his necklace were gone. Looking around, he saw the 2 on a bed table along with blue shorts and a grey shirt. The boy puts the 2 accessories on and notices he is in a nurse's office. "Where am I? How did I get here?" He notices his legs have a few bandages on them. "How did—wait a sec! The energy cannon! Vilgax! Wait! Did it... Just teleported me to another place in the world?" The young boy asks himself as he is not sure what happened to his nemesis where he is now and how he got here.
"Well, I'm not going to get answers lying around!" He steps out of bed, keeping himself steady to gain balance, and puts on the new pants and shirt, along with his shoes. "I got to figure out where I am, and how to contact Gwen and Grandpa! Man... Can't believe this. I've only been 11 for 2 days and now I'm separated from Grandpa and Gwen, no thanks to Squid Face!"
He heads out of the room and notices he is in a locker hallway. "Oh, boy! Please don't tell me I'm at summer school." He moans as he walks. The boy couldn't help but notice how empty the school is and how big it is as well. "Where is everyone? And wonder why I ended up here?" Just as he rounded a corner, he saw a door open, making him quickly duck back as he sought out the corner. A science teacher walks out and closes the door. He then walks off as Ben watches and waits until he's out of sight.
"Okay… so there are some people here. I didn't want to use Ghostfreak again. But I had no choice. So, I'll just make this real quick!" Ben smirks as he is about to activate the watch, only to notice its new look. "What!? What's up with the Omnitrix?! It looks different. How did this happen? I hope I didn't bust it again or Azmuth will kill me." He mumbles as he twists the dial a bit. He then notices the new activation button and pushes it, making the core pop up as he starts dialing.
"All right! Ghostfreak..." But just as Ben started dialing, he saw strange new icons he had never seen before. "Wait! Where's Ghostfreak? In fact, where are most of my aliens? All I can recognize is Upgrade and Grey Matter! Fine... Might as well go with the little guy." Ben frowns as he slaps down on Grey Matter's icon. FLASH The flash of green light dies down to reveal a small, grey-skinned, biped frog-like being standing where Ben was. He has green bulbous eyes with horizontal pupils and a black strip on his head. He has small gills on his cheeks with sharp teeth and has 4 sticky fingers and 3 toes.
He is wearing a bodysuit that is white with a black collar and a belt with a line that connects them to his chest. He has green toeless leggings and fingerless gloves, that have a black patch on the back, with the Omnitrix itself now a white dial with a green hourglass in a black background badge on his back. "All right! Let's get to the bottom of this!" He rushes towards the door the man came out of and manages to squeeze his way underneath. Grey Matter dusts himself off and walks around, seeing that he is in a science lab.
But just as Grey Matter is about to turn a corner, he cries out in surprise as he is startled and leaps back on his bottom when Alex's boot almost hits him. As the alien calms down, he glances to see the teen, placing a bar of soap in a microwave and activating it. As the alien gets a good look, he recognizes her as the girl he briefly saw before he passes out. "Hey! It's that girl I saw before! She must have brought me here."
RING RING RING The alien was surprised at a ringtone coming from the girl's lab coat, making her pull out a pink compowder and place it on top of it as it kept beeping. "A WOOHP emergency? Then why are they calling me?" She scoffs as Grey Matter raises an invisible eyebrow in curiosity as he decides to climb up to the table. He notices the girl's heart-shaped backpack and quickly hides behind it as he peeks from behind the bag. "I mean, it's not like I can help speed up the world." But as she steps away, she has a realization as she turns back.
"Wait a minute. Heat speeds up Molecules. Maybe I can be a help!" She went to grab her compowder as the alien realized she was about to take off, quickly opened the bag, and crawled inside while she slipped off the lab coat, grabbed her bag, and rushed out of the door as the teacher walked in. "Sorry! I'll be back!" She tosses the heated soap behind her, landing and floating in a bucket of water. The man smiles at the work.
As Grey Matter is tumbling around in the bag, he is suddenly thrown out of the bag via the opening he made as Alex swings her bag and the small alien lands into some bushes. As Grey Matter groans as he recovers, the Omnitrix beeps as it blinks between red and green, changing the boy back in a flash of red light. Ben groans as he rubs his head. I hate it when that happens as Grey Matter."
As the kid recovers and pokes his head out, he spots Alex, running while now sporting a yellow catsuit as Ben raises an eyebrow in response. "Wonder why she's in such a big hurry?" He follows after as best as he can. He kept running as fast as he could, only for Alex to activate some rocket boots, stumbling a bit at first, but managed to blast off as Ben watched. "Going to need some speed for this!" He activates the watch, but he is not sure which alien to pick! With XLR8 gone, he isn't sure any of his new aliens can catch up with the teenage girl.
"Fine! I'll go with…. this one!" FLASH Ben is now a tall, athletic-built, cat-like alien without a tail. He has blue fur with black stripes on his forearms and calves, that have 3 blades on them. His hands have black claws. He's wearing a black suit with a white thunderbolt that points down and sleeves that go to his elbows and knees. The suit also has white lightning bolt stripes on the thighs and sleeves as well. He has a cat nose and fangs with black mask markings that are pointed out on the sides. He has 3 sharp black toenails on his light blue feet. He has black fingerless gloves with a green patch on the back. He has green and white bands on his wrists and ankles and a belt with the Omnitrix symbol on it.
He decides to just run and try to catch up with Alex. As he kept running, his speed started to increase until he ran at 200 MPH! "WHOA! Does this guy have super speed?! Looks like I managed to get XLR8's replacement! Nice!" He then starts running, looking up to see Alex flying and following her at a steady speed as they cross the ocean itself. The alien follows the teen spy as they reach a lab in Greenland. "Why would Alex need to go here?" His thought was interrupted when he saw the girl was out of control and was about to crash into the electric fence. "BRAKES! BRAKES!" Thinking quickly, he leaped over the fence and grabbed her in his arms, flying through a window into a lab as he screeched to a stop.
Alex notices the arms she is in, blinking in surprise, and looks up to the alien. "You know, you can get off now." The teen leaps off as she exclaims. "Whoa! Who are you?!" "What? Never saw an alien, before?" Ben questions with crossed arms as Alex blinks out. "Wait! An alien?! You're not going to suck my brain out a bendy straw, are you?" Ben blinks in response. "Wait. What?"
Just before she could argue back, they heard a sound, turning to see 3 girls, tied together, trying to move towards them… if not by the weirdest thing of moving in slow-motion and speaking in it as well. "'GASP' What kind of maniac did this to you?!" "Boooommmmmbbbbbbb…" "What?" Alex was confused as well as the alien. "Boooommmmmmmbbbbbb..." Ben scratches his head in confusion as hears a beeping and looks back, seeing a device with a countdown on that has 40 seconds left. He recognized that kind of device from his many adventures. "BOMB!" He quickly grabs it and rushes outside the lab, speeding to the shoreline and throwing it into the sea... BOOM!
The device exploded in the water, sending drops of it falling, sparing the lab and its occupants from an explosive fate. Sighing out, he rushes back to the lab, and he tells the girls "Bomb's gone! You can all breathe now." "Okay, maybe you're not a bad alien..." Alex admits as she walks over to the girls and explains while Ben uses his claws to cut the ropes. "Your molecules have been slowed. That's why you're moving in slow motion! But I know how to fix it!" She takes out a device that looks like a hairdryer. "With heat!" "Uhh… mind pointing the other way?" The cat alien points out as the girl sees that she's aiming at herself. "Oopsie."
She quickly changes it and blows a gust of hot air at the others, blowing to a wall as they regain normal speed. Ben notices that 3 girls wear different catsuits. The blonde one is red. The redhead is green and the blue one is blue too. "Alex! You're the best!" "You saved our lives!" The green and blue girls said as the red one, whose hair is now sticking up, looked at her pink mirror device with glee. "Totally! And my hair has never looked better!" The 2 other girls got annoyed looks as Ben slapped his head with his palm. "Thanks, Clover!" Alex thanked the blonde.
"By the way, who the heck is this thing?!" The redhead points at Ben as the alien gets annoyed. "HEY! I have a name! It's Ben! And if it wasn't for me, you girls would be a smoldering crater by now!" "It's okay, girls! He helped me from crashing into the fence outside. Besides, he did save our lives." Alex pleas as they look at each other in thought. "Fine! He can help! But we want answers from him later." "Fair enough." He shrugs at Clover. They all ran out of the lab and looked around. "So, which city did the crazy bad guy go off to? New York?" The blue-haired teen answers Ben's question.
"No. He wants to go after the biggest country 1st: China." "Where's the WOOHP jet when you need it?" Alex responds to Clover as she runs off. "I got a better idea! Follow me! Ben, wait at the lab; we'll pick you up later." The girls ran out of sight as the alien narrowed his eyes behind his glasses. "Oh, no! I'm not going to—" BEEP BEEP BEEP He looks down at the blinking red Omnitrix, before getting engulfed in a flash of red light. "Oh, man!" Ben exclaims as he stomps his human foot in frustration.
He glares at the space watch. "Seriously?! New makeover and new aliens, but the same timing problem as well?! Why didn't I ask Azmuth for a manual?" He groans out as he tries shaking the watch to make it charge, only for it to beep green, much to his surprise. "WAIT! That worked?! I've got to talk to Azmuth about this." He pushes the new button, making it pop up as he dials the speed cat's icon. "I got the need for speed, again!" FLASH Ben realizes he is not the cat alien, but a different one, instead.
He is a humanoid, moth-like alien with 4 wings and an antenna folded around him, giving him the appearance of a phantom. "What the?! Seriously!? This old gag again?! Unbelievable." He face-palm in annoyance at the Omnitrix's habit of giving him different aliens than the ones he wants, half of the time. "Okay... What am I supposed to…" Just then, his wing and antenna unfold, making him fly up, much to his surprise.
He notices the rest of his body. It is black with cyan patches on his arms, shoulders, legs, the back of his wings, and the back of his neck that resemble ice chunks. Each patch has thick blue outlining except for the ones on his wings, which are outlined in black. There is also a black line that runs on the edge of the outer margin on the back of each wing. On his torso are three plates. One resembling the chest, a shorter plate under the chest, and one resembling the stomach. On his face are blue cheeks and underjaw, a mouth that always shows bluish-white teeth, and large green eyes with dark green spots. The top of his head also sports a blue Y-shaped marking that extends over his scalp. He has three pointed fingers and a thumb on each hand, two toes on each foot, and a third toe-like extension on his ankles. He lastly has the Omnitrix symbol on a green and white belt on his waist.
"Okay, a flyer can work!" He smiled as he saw the teen spies riding on a flying sled, powered by Alex's boots, to the ocean after a faraway plane. Ben narrows his bug-like eyes and flies after them, keeping a distance.
As the spies reached one side of the plane, Ben was flying behind on the other side, going unnoticed. "Okay… how am I going to get in?" As he tapped the wall, he unknowingly became transparent and phased through the wall, quickly landing on his feet. "Whoa. I'm able to phase through things like Ghostfreak? Weird... Yet cool." He folds his wings and quickly holds onto some cargo as the plane quickly moves around. "WHOA! That was crazy! Better get up there and stop him!" He quickly sneaks up as the plane righted itself.
He reaches the door and peeks through, seeing 3 men wearing brown winter coats and giving off a villain vibe. He moves back and whispers to himself. "Okay. This guy has got to do something else besides being like Ghostfreak." As he exhales, a stream of icy wind breathes out and freezes part of the wall. Ben smirks at the development. "Arctiguana breath? That, I know I can do!" He phases through the door as the men remain unaware.
"FREEZE!" He blows a stream of ice that instantly froze the men in blocks of ice as their eyes widen. "Tag! You're it!" He smirks as he moves the chunks out of the way and looks at the plane controls. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH "Okay, you can do this dude! You played video games involving space pilots and drove a space pod once with Tetrax! How hard can it be?" He sat down and grabbed the wheel, keeping it steady. He looks over to see all sorts of levers on the side as he gulps. "Okay, a bit hard." He reaches over, hovering his hand as he couldn't figure out which one to pull.
"Ah, what the heck with it." He closes his eyes and pulls a random one, making him hear the jet slowing down. He opens his eyes to see the plane is decreasing to a steady speed. "Huh? Guess dumb luck can be helpful occasionally. Who knew?" He looks out the window and smiles and waves at the stunned teen spies. "HEY! Need a lift?"
After the villain and his minions were locked up, Ben was inside a building that is WOOHP Headquarters. The boy was amazed by the size of the huge office space. "'Whistle' Now, this is an awesome headquarters! And I thought the Mount Rushmore PLUMBER base was cool." "I'm glad you like it, young man," Ben turns to a British man in his 50s with thinning hair, a small mustache, and a fancy suit and tie. "Because after I talked with the girls, we need to have a chat." He turns to the 4.
And so, Ben waited and waited, until the blue girl, Britney was sent away via trap door while they interviewed Ben as he answered questions, like what is his name and how did he get there. "So, Ben? How did you get on that jet, anyway? Come to think of it, weren't you some sort of fast cat creature as well?" Alex asks as Ben shows off the watch. "It's because of this! It's called the Omnitrix! It's an alien device that not only contains thousands of DNA samples from all sorts of aliens from across the Galaxy! But it also lets me turn into them, each one with their superpowers and abilities!"
"Whoa! Really?! Cool!" Alex exclaims as she gets a closer look at the watch. Sam is very fascinated by it as she looks at it. "I've never seen alien technology up close! And some many DNA samples in one little watch? Incredible! Whoever made it must be a genius!" "Well, he is. And he's also a major grump and a bit of a blowhard. The guy who made the watch is a Galvin named Azmuth. He invented the watch to allow other aliens to walk a mile in their shoes. So, they can understand each other better." "So, it's a device meant for peaceful purposes and unity?" Clover asks as the kid nods in response.
The adult took out a scanner device with a computer. He scans the kid as he questions. "So, you said you don't remember how you got to Beverly Hills, Ben was it?" "YEAH! I can't remember much! All I remember is being in a fight and some sort of energy cannon firing at me. Next thing I know, Alex found me, and I woke up in her school's Nurse's office."
The man nods at the answer as he finishes scanning and looks at the results. "Oh, my." "What? What is it?" "According to my readings, you are a temporal copy." Ben was confused as well as the others. "Who with what now?" "A Temporal copy. You see, this boy is from an alternate universe. See, WOOHP scientists are very curious about the Multiverse Theory." "What?" Clovers asks as Sam adds in. "The Multiverse Theory, Clover. It's a theory where an infinite set of different universes exists. Some are similar to ours while others are completely different. It is very debatable among scientists. Some don't even believe they exist."
"No, Samantha. It does exist. But we couldn't go to them because we haven't developed the technology needed for it. But we have sent probes before, and their readings were all positive. Anyway, this child is a Temporal clone. A Temporal clone is a perfect copy of the original person, right down to the atoms. But the copy can't exist in the same universe as the original." "Really?" Clover asks out to her boss, and he nods in response.
"If 2 of the same people from different universes remain in one dimension, it will cause either the clone or that universe itself to be destroyed! To prevent the Universe from collapsing on itself, the clone is sent to a random universe while the original remains behind, so the is balance. Benjamin, I'm afraid you are a clone in an alternate universe." Ben was stunned as the truth sank in. "So… Grandpa Max? Gwen?" "I'm afraid they don't exist. as well as your home and parents in this universe, I'm afraid. And you can't return to your original universe as well, I'm afraid." Jerry as he and the girls felt sorry for Ben, all alone in a strange new world.
The boy was silent for a few seconds as he looked down in disbelief, before shaking his head and narrowing his eyes. "No way! If this is a hi-tech spy headquarters, then there's got to be a way to get me home!" "Ben... you heard what Jerry just said..." Sam spoke, trying to calm him down, only for the kid to stomp away. "I'm finding my way back to Bellwood, even if I have to go Upgrade to this whole building!" "Ben!" Alex cries out as they go after him.
But just then, Ben was stopped by a window and gazes out at the view of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. "Whoa... What a view." "Yeah. WOOHP Headquarters has the best view over the city. Hench, the reason it helps protect the city and the world from crime and villains on a major scale." Clover explains as they come over. "Really? So, that's Los Angeles?" "Yep! The Movie Capital of the States." Clover answers. "You know, now that I get a good look, this world looks kind of the same from my dimension, they even had the whole, evil supervillain taking over/wiping out everything."
Jerry questions the child as he smirks with crossed arms. "Really?" "Yeah! My Grandpa took some photos during my 1st Summer with the Omnitrix. It was memorable. Been all over the States and back again in just 3 months." "How did it go?" Alex asks in wonderment as Ben replies. "It was great! Except for the troubles I keep running into. No matter where we go, something is always happening."
"Like, what kind of something?" Ben answers Clover's question "One problem after another: Monsters, villains, bounty hunters, bad aliens, evil magic, natural disasters, freak accidents, killer robots, mutants, carjackers, and robbers. Everywhere we go, some bad guy or freak-show mutant shows up and just causes trouble. Course, this was back when I just got my powers, I didn't know that stuff would happen."
Sam got to pondering at the child's reply, thinking with her super brain as the gears kept turning. "You know... Maybe there is a reason you got sent to our world, Ben? Maybe this is a sign that you could do good in our world just like yours." Ben frowns as he snaps back. "And what?! Start all over again?! Just forget about my family, for good!? Ben was about to speak back when some words from his friend Tetrax, appeared in his head. "Let me ask you this: Did you do it because it's the right thing to do? Or for the thrill of being a hero?" The boy admits that question did rattle his perspective on being a hero, but it did teach him what a selfish person is. Maybe Sam does make a point... Maybe he can do good in this dimension as well.
Alex then gets an idea. "Hey, Jerry!" They all turn to her. "Can Ben stay with me? I can convince my folks to give him a place to stay, and we have tons of room at my house!" The others were surprised by the suggestion as Ben looked down in thought. Alex did help him out when he was alone and she kind of reminds her of Kate. Jerry smiles and looks down at the boy. "If it's okay with him." Ben smiles and answers. "Yes!" Alex cheers as well as the others as the teen scoops the boy in a surprise hug. The boy smiles at the events. He may be a clone of Benjamin Daniel Tennyson, but he still has a family.
