EDIT: I Fixed all the Izuko and Izuku misspellings. Sorry about that!

Thank you to anyone who takes time to read this story of mine! I greatly appreciate it!

Full Summary:

"You see…I Don't want you to take my title as the #1 hero in this country kid…No, I want you to achieve something bigger.." The flicker of fire that was burning in All Mights eyes now grew to be raging flames. "I want you to save the world, Izuku."

The final battle for Earth's fate quickly approached. It was a battle destined for only two to take part in. Why couldn't anyone understand that. Everyone pushed him away for all his life, and now they wanted to embrace him? Accept him as one of them ?

Will the world rejoice Young Izuku Midoriya as he strives to save it? Or reject him as it had always done?

His dream to save the world starts at U.A. High-school. While Izuku may think he's ready to attack the hero courses right away, All Might has a different plan of action for Young Midoriya to follow, believing this will be the best way for Izuku to grasp his full power as fast as possible. Unfortunately for All Might, it wasn't the physical strength and power he should had been focusing on, but the mental strength and power of the newest user of One For All.

Follow Young Midoriya as he starts off the school year in neither Hero class 1a or 1b. Why would All Might allow this to happen? Will Izuku still be friends with those of the hero classes even if he's not in them? How long before Izuku himself gets an opportunity to join? This may not had been the path Izuku envisioned for himself when he first stepped on campus, but this was the path destined for him.

Quick Notes:

If you don't like stuttering Izuku don't worry! He will be gone by ch 4 when his character development starts to accelerate! (He literally has no positive social interactions his whole life. Give the awkward kid a break!)

No OC's in the story.

More serious approach on OFA and AFO.

No Harem

Izuku isn't in general studies, he will be in a hero course by end of the first term.

Only change from the main source is how the students received their entrance exam results. They all just received videos from nezu with their scores telling them what they all need to know in their individual videos. All Might never appeared in the video. A small change that won't matter after the first few paragraphs.

Nezu's fully aware about OFA. So will be maybe 1 or 2 other characters too. Down the road in the story though.

The rest of Author Notes will be discussed on the bottom of page.

Enjoy the story!

Ch 1- First day

This had to be a dream. Right?

The mind never forgets. How could it forget? 11 years of distorted misery and helplessness would leave a lasting impression on anybody. Was any of it ever even deserved in the first place? That didn't matter anymore. You can't change the past. Could you bury it deep in your mind, hoping you could forget it and move on? That was the only thing he could hope for.

Izuku Midoriya stood proudly as his eyes laid fawn over the sights in front of him. Past two enormous doors while nesting behind an impregnable fortress of a wall was the top highschool for heroes in training, U. A High School. This was now going to be Izuku's very own High School as he took his first steps towards becoming a real professional hero. "Seriously, this is all a dream, right?" he spoke aloud.

That was a question he asked himself a lot as the days kept passing by. Rightfully so, too.

Izuku was a normal quirkless kid his whole life. Or maybe he was abnormal? After all, when 80% of civilization has a quirk, that would mean they should be considered the normal ones. Not the other 20% straggling behind who have nothing special about them. And with how things kept changing with each generation, that 20% kept getting smaller and smaller. In his current generation, maybe only 5% of kids are quirkless? And that number only kept getting smaller.

Over 100 years ago, the first quirks started showing up in humans. Regular genetic mutation? Alien powers bypassing their DNA system? No one was really sure. The best guess was it had something to do when the planet entered the Age of Aquarius. The timeline matched up, nevertheless, so many questions went unsolved to this very day.

Quirks were now embedded into society and the perception of life for most. Quirks were just the new normal. Weak, strong, useful, or useless people didn't care, as long as they had a quirk, that's all that mattered. Not being born with a quirk in today's age is the equivalent of being born with no limbs, or even a brain, in some eyes. Just a useless waste of space, they would think. Why the cruel perception? No one knew. It was just society's absurd way of thinking.

The world of quirks made the world seem like a fantasy world at first. All the sudden, heroes and villains became real. Those baffling superhero movies people would spend their nights watching on TV. now we're actually taking place in real life in their own backyards.

100 plus years of change had brought upon a mostly coherent and civil society in today's world, but some chaos still actively reigned

The world of Heroes and Villans was officially here to stay and didn't seem like it would be leaving soon.

It was a world most wanted to join.

A world quirkless Izuku Midoriya always dreamed of.

As he stood proud, eyes grasping in the sights before him, there was a surge of power flowing through his veins. A power that was all still too unfamiliar to himself. After all, the first time he felt this new power was only 2 weeks ago. Making itself known for the first time while Izuku crazily risked his life for a girl he didn't even know during his entrance exams for U.A.

It's true he was a quirkless outcast his whole life. But not anymore.

"T-this is it! The start to m…" *bump* Before the words could leave his mouth, Izuku found himself knocked to the Ground.

"Watch where you're standing." Looking up to where the voice came from was a tall, slender bug like human. A heteromorph who had the appearance of a praying mantis, to be exact.

"Oh, leave him be Kamakiri. Look at him. He's one of us." A new girl appeared while pointing her finger towards Izuku's full head of hair and now her own. "He's a green peep just like us." The girl talking had green hair just like himself.

"Both of you knock it off. Come on, here, get up." A third voice aiming towards Izuku now entered the conversation. Glancing left, he saw the voice was coming from an orange-haired girl with her arm extended out.

"T-t-thank you". Back on his feet, now being aware of the situation at hand, Izuku started to feel a little overwhelmed. He hadn't even been there for 5 minutes and things were already unraveling, it felt like.

"Don't mention it! She responded. "Sorry about my bug friend over here. He's not exactly a morning person." Pointing towards the boy who knocked over Izuku.

You could feel the annoyance and anger form around her friend. That was enough, no reason to waste more time in this random conversation. Giving the orange-haired girl and Izuku a death stare each, the bug-like creature was on his way.

Well, that was…unnerving. Did Izuku just make himself another enemy of some kind ?

"So what's your name? Mines Itsuka Kendo!" she said excitedly. "And this green-haired lizard girl next to me is Setsuna Tokage." She finished as both girls gave a small bow with their introductions.

"O-Oh u-u-uhmm, It's n-nice t-to m-meet you both. M-M-My n-name's I-Izuku. I-Izuku M.-M-Midoriya." What in the world? The unfortunate boy appeared as if he was about to suffer an aneurysm.. His face was covered in sweat as he spoke, which didn't make things any easier.. The girls gave each other a concerning glance. He had to be beyond nervous, right? Since it was the first day of school, after all. At least, that's what the girls were hoping. That's all it was.

"Hey no need to be so nervous kid." The orange-haired girl, now known as Kendo, said, while giving Izuku a small pat on the shoulder. "It's just us First Years today, so now's not the time to suffocate yourself with nerves. Take a deep breath and free up that mind. Enjoy yourself! You're supposed to be excited, not nervous!"

That's right, The School felt the best way to transition the incoming students into the new school year would be for the freshman to come in for an orientation day of their own to help everyone get accumulated before the first official week of school starts. Besides faculty and staff, the only people on campus today were first years. The school was always looking for ways to bring the most comfort to each of its students.

But who was this girl, though? Was she a fallen angel? At least that's what Izuku started to think after that small speech he was just given. She and the other girl were definitely pretty enough for the role.

"Anyways, Setsuna and I are both in Hero class 1B! What about you, Izuku?"

"U-u-uhm w..w.. well…" He didn't know how to respond. Truthfully, because he had no idea what course he was put in! While receiving their U.A. Acceptance letter, they were also supposed to receive all their information for upcoming schedules and courses. Yet Izuku didn't. Along with the acceptance letter and video, was just another letter stating to meet in the school's main building, 9th floor room 930 at 9am on the freshman orientation day. This was when he would be given any and all other information needed for the school year.

U.A.'s entrance protocol was pretty simple. Take the exam. One week later, they get their results, and one week after that, you're set to be officially enrolled and on campus. The faster all the future heroes of the country could be on campus getting their education in, the better. At least that's how U.A. Felt.

Being confused at what was going on, he tried texting All Might but unfortunately that led to nowhere.

"You did amazing out there, Young Midoriya. I'm so proud of you. You've earned this. There's a lot going on this next week for me with U.A. being so hectic, so just keep training and resting on your own and we'll see each other again on the first day of classes. Do whatever the letter you received said and I'll see you then!

That brief exchange made Izuku even more confused and nervous about what to expect. But he had full confidence in his teacher, so he figured he'd just hold out until the first school day for answers.

And now he was regretting that.

Izuku knew he was starting to self-destruct at this very moment. Geeze, what the heck was going on with him? If being shoved to the ground didn't entirely unravel Young Midoriya, then the two pretty girls who were trying to talk to him would finish the job! After all, this was his first time two pretty girls tried talking to him at the same time. Another situation he could only ever dream about happening.

"Oh, just leave him be Kendo. You're scaring him." Setsuna said, coming to the rescue. Was she interjecting to help Izuku? Or maybe she was just getting annoyed by the social interaction she found herself in. "Homeroom starts soon, and I need to go to the bathroom. We don't have time to waste."

Before heading off towards the main building, she gave me one last look, sizing Izuku up from head to toe. "Green bean, you seem interesting. Maybe I'll be seeing you around." With that, the green-haired girl was off on her way, leaving behind a confused Izuku.

What did she mean by that?

"Oh well. I'm sorry we can't keep talking Izuku, but I have to hurry and catch up with my friends." The orange-haired girl gave Izuku one last pat on the shoulder with hopes of encouragement. "Don't forget to smile some! Today's supposed to be an exciting day for all of us. I'll see you around!" Giving chase to her friend. Now only Izuku was left standing there.

Okay, it was official. No way kendo wasn't a fallen Angel in disguise.

Looking down at his watch, the time read 8:50. "Damn I only have 10 minutes to go or I'll be late." Maybe those girls had the right idea of being in a hurry and leaving him behind. The size of this school and campus were huge. He needed to be on his way too if he were to ensure making it on time to his required classroom.

While making his way, Izuku couldn't help but think back to that small encounter he just had. Not one, but two girls talked to him! All the nerves he was feeling were now replaced by the feelings of bliss. He really hoped that he'd be seeing those two again!

But Izuku couldn't say the same thing about their friend…what was his name? Kamakiri? Man, what was that guy's problem? He was the one who walked into and knocked over Izuku! He should had been pissed off…and yet just like most of his life, Izuku ended up the one at fault being blamed.

This was supposed to be the start of a new chapter in his life! Finally, he could start fresh where no one knew him and didn't think of him as a quirkless loser…or just a loser in general.

"That was all just a big understanding, that's all," Izuku thought to himself. It's the first day of school after all! If Izuku was nervous, he was sure others had to be too. That's what it had to of been, right? Kamakiri was probably just nervous and acting out of character. "Considering his friends were so friendly, I'm sure he is, too."

At least, that's what Izuku was hoping.

*Knock Knock*

"I'm coming!" Izuku could hear a voice coming from inside the room he knocked on. Before any coherent thoughts could form in the student's mind, the door swung open.

"I Am Here!" Standing in front of Izuku bulked up in all his glory wearing a suit was none other than the world's #1 hero, All Might.

"Ah Young Midoriya, you've arrived! Come here boy, give me a hug!

"All Might! It's great to see—" Izuku suffocated inside of All Mights bear hug he was being given at the moment, but it made Izuku feel good inside. He was starting to get worried that maybe he did something wrong. Not really speaking for two weeks together, and what was going on with his courses was leaving Izuku with unpleasant nerves. All those nerves now seemingly disappearing due to the warm embrace they were in.

Separating from their embrace, All Might showed him his office. "Now take a seat and let's talk for a little."

Izuku took a seat on the chair while *poof* The now skinny All Might sat down across from him on the sofa.

"It's here Izuku. The day you've always dreamed of. You're now officially a student at U.A. highschool. Are you excited?" All Might couldn't hide the smile on his face. After all, today was supposed to be an exciting day for his young pupil! "Knowing you, you're probably more nervous though than anything, am I right?" All Might added in while chuckling.

"'N-no! I'm excited! I'm really excited!…a-and maybe a little nervous." There it was! The precious meekness of his successor in training.

"A-actually All Might I was hoping you could finally tell me about the course I'm supposed to be in? S-shouldn't I be in my homeroom right now instead of here with you?" Izuku continued on.

"Ah, don't worry about any of that stuff right now, kid. It's the first day, and it's only you freshman on campus. So not much will be happening, anyway." Even with hearing these words, something seemed off to Izuko. "How about we take a tour around the campus and check out all the cool facilities?" All Might Asked standing up from his couch. And just like that, those worries Izuku was having again were instantly replaced with excitement.

"Maybe we'll run into a few pretty girls while we're out and about, too. Never too early to make a strong first impression, kid." All Might continued on, wanting to lighten up the mode before they left.

And just like that, Izuku's nerves and worries were right back, like they had never left.

———

"I can't believe we had to go through all that on our first day!" A brown-haired girl exclaimed while wiping off dirt from her clothing.

"Yes, it was indeed a surprise. Nothing to be worrying about, though. We're here to train in hopes of being professional heros. I expect nothing too simple or easy of any sorts!" exclaimed a tall blue-haired boy wearing glasses.

"How noble of you Ida."

While Izuku was busy dealing with his unconventional start to the first day of school, so were another bunch of students. The students of Hero Class 1A who were just getting done with a surprise test of sorts that their homeroom teacher had sprung on them.

"At least everyone passed, and no one was expelled." The girl continued. "Does he even have the power to expel anyone?

The man in question being talked about was the two students' new Homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. An average height male with unruly long black hair while also being dressed in all black. The only color the man had to his appearance came from the long white scarf around his neck.

As soon as Homeroom started, the students of Class 1A were instructed to head outside to one of the practice fields for a quirk evaluation test. The reward for coming in last place? Expulsion.

Despite all the nerves and anxiety floating around the students, they all performed well enough to the teachers' liking's that he decided all could stay in the class. Even the last place student who ended up being a small kid whose quirk was throwing an endless amount of balls that grew from his head?

"I don't know. It doesn't matter if he can or can't! Everyone should be given 100% all the time! Whatever happens after that happens. If they're 100% isn't good enough, then maybe they shouldn't be here, anyway." Ida responded sternly to the girl. All the students were now making their way back to the school building where their locker rooms were.

"Yeah, yeah, I understand. Still harsh." That was the reality they lived in. Not everyone was meant to be a hero. If someone's 100% couldn't handle whatever tests and situations the school was about to throw at its students, then maybe Ida was right those students shouldn't be here.

The girl knew it was going to be a tough road ahead.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS DEKU DOING HERE! That fucking loser actually came to this school, didn't he?! I'M GOING TO KI — "The girl's thoughts were instantly cut off by a loud angry voice yelling.

What the heck was going on?

With all the students' attentions now directed towards where the yelling came from. The answer to who it came from became clear.

"Man, that Bakugo kid seemed crazy during the tests, but this is on a different level." The girl was familiar with the person who now had everyone's attention. It was her classmate, a blonde-haired kid named Katsuki Bakugo.

This Bakugo kid definitely seemed like a special individual in his own way. Word was he received the most points in the entrance exams and that seemed to be proven true with his 1st place finish in their evaluation tests done earlier.

While his powers and skills seemingly rose above the rest, so did his intensity and emotions. And not in a good way, either.

Before the angry blonde haired kid could finish his yelling, he was wrapped up head to toe by a familiar white fabric.

"Stop messing around. One more outburst like this and I will expel you." The blonde-haired kid and his captor now face to face to one another. "You understand me?"

Bakugo wanted nothing more than to give this guy a piece of his mind! His homeroom teacher had some nerve getting in the young students' way. But the more he struggled to break free, the tighter the fabric holding him back grew.

Something wasn't right. He was feeling so powerless. So weak.

His captors' eyes were red, as it felt like they were burning a hole inside the kid's mind. He just wanted out of whatever this was. Giving a head nod, he was finally released from his struggle.

"Good. That goes for all of you. You're professional heroes in training. Act like it." The aura around their new homeroom teacher definitely was scary. "Now head back inside and get change. It's almost time for lunch." All the students nodded as their teacher left on ahead.

"Man, Mr. Aizawa sure is terrifying. Manly! But terrifying." A red hair student spoke aloud, finally breaking the tension that was hovering around.

"You heard our teacher everyone head back inside at once!" Ida yelled out, getting control of his fellow group of classmates.

"He's right, let's go everyone!" Exclaimed the red hair individual again.

Still confused at what had just happened, the brown hair girl took a glance in the direction her classmate was initially yelling at.

"NO WAY! IT'S HIM!"

"Ida look! It's the kid from the entrance exams!" She yelled out pointing in the one direction. The brown hair girl could never forget that head full of messy green hair. It belonged to the kid who saved her back on the day of the entrance exams. She had thought about him and what had happened every day since. He was here! And now she could finally thank him appropriately!

"Hmm" Ida looked out where she was pointing.

"Uraraka, Let's go back before the others leave us behind. You can find him another time. Plus, he looks busy, too."

Ida wasn't wrong. The boy they were talking about seemed like he was up to something important. He was walking and chatting with what seemed like a teacher as they were about to enter one building all off to the side. He was so far away, no way he'd hear her yell, and no way she'd be able to catch up before he went inside and disappeared. Oh well, she guessed she'd have to wait for another opportunity to talk to the boy who grabbed her interest.

"Coming Ida!"

——

"Okay, how about we depart here for lunch? Grab some food and we'll meet back up in my office in about an hour." Their tour of campus was now done in time for lunch.

Izuku nodded in agreement

Using the instructions All Might gave him, he finally made it to the cafeteria. Izuku grabbed himself a bowl of katsudon before looking for a place to sit. Since only first years were on campus today, the cafeteria was fairly empty and so were most the tables.

Feeling too awkward to attempt to sit at a table with people already at or even sit at a table by himself with so many people around, Izuku made his way to the outside park area to grab a table. There was virtually nobody outside eating. It was a nice spring day outside, so the weather helped brighten up his mood as well.

"Man, this place is awesome! Their faculties they have here been top-notch and all their training equipment they use matches!" Izuku's voice rang with excitement, talking to no one else.

It wasn't the morning Izuku envisioned himself having when he first stepped foot on campus today, but it was an enjoyable one nonetheless so far.

Touring around the campus with All Might he got to check out most of its facilities and training areas.

The only training Izuku had ever done were the past 10 months' worth when he spent all his free time cleaning up a beach, lifting and moving heavy objects every hour he was free. While as hard and tiring as a training regime that was, it was also probably the simplistic form a training a person could do to enhance themselves. After all, all it was was just picking heavy things up and putting them down. Not much to it, right?

But after seeing what he saw this morning, he knew he was entering a whole different world. He felt this world up close during the entrance exams. After that experience, deep down, he was craving it again. That feeling of what the world of professional heroes truly feels like.

And now he was here. Now it was time. He was stepping foot into this world and there was no turning back.

Izuku looked down as he made a fist with his right hand. He could feel it. That power surging inside of him. The power that first made itself known two weeks ago at the entrance exams.

This power belonged in this world, too. This power was meant for…a hero.

Nothing was going to get in his way. With this power, Izuko was going to rise above in this world of heroes and claim his spot as #1.

"My journey starts now,"

*growl*

"But first let's eat!" Even all the excitement couldn't distract Izuku's Empty stomach any longer.

He needed to hurry and fill up before he met back up with All Might! He was surely going to need the energy if the afternoon was any bit as exciting as the morning was.

——

"Ah, now comes the tough part of the day" All Might sat slumped on the sofa in his office.

"Hopefully he doesn't get too upset with me, but if he did, I wouldn't blame him" while the morning was nothing but fun and laughter for the teacher and pupil, it was designed that way on purpose.

All Might wanted to have Izuku Midoriya in as high of spirits as possible before a tough conversation would be brought upon this afternoon.

A conversation that All Might regretted not having had already.

(One Week Ago)

"And are you really sure about all of this, Toshinori?"

All Might thought about it mostly every second of the day since the entrance exams earlier in the week.

The joy and excitement that All Might felt watching his successor use his new power was pure bliss. The kid had done it! All that hard work in the last 10 months had actually paid off.

All Might's great power now found a new vessel to call its home.

The power of One For All was now Izuku Midoriya's to wield.

But..

"Yes, I'm sure principal Nezu." All might bowed respectfully to the mouse like humanoid sitting across from him. Nezu was the principal of the school. The person in charge of all and anything U.A. Highschool related. If there was only one person who could ruin the plan All Might personally constructed for his young pupil, it was him.

"Hmm. Something like this would definitely be unheard of in our School's history." The mouse-like creature said while rubbing his whiskers. "I truly want to say no, I really do.. But I'll allow it,"

"Yes! Thank you very much, Principal Nezu. Both me and Izuko are in your debt." All Might bow once more, showing respect to the powerful yet tiny figure.

"Stop it, there's no need for that. With how you gloriously defended our country for the last 40 years, you deserve to have a request like this honored." It's true. 40 Years of self sacrifice protecting an entire country. All Might really did deserve anything he would want in life. "While I personally am more than fine honoring any requests to pay back this great debt, our country owes you. I was just hesitant about bringing the school into this. I didn't want my school and students to get caught in any mess that comes with being involved with the evil known as … All For one."

All Might looked down. Every day that passed only meant things were going to get more complicated from here on out. While things may still seem simple now, it was only a matter of time until things would start to unravel.

Time was running out.

"If I'm going to allow this Toshinori, tell the boy everything…He Deserves to know the whole truth and what you signed him up for." Nezu's voice was stern. He wasn't wrong.

*knock knock*

"But before you have that difficult conversation with the young boy." Nezu stood up, heading to the door to let in the knocking visitors in. "We need to have a different conversation with these two."

———

*Knock Knock*

"Come in! The doors open,"

"T-Thanks All Might" letting himself into his teacher's office was Izuku Midoriya. Now that lunch was over, it was time to get back down to business.

"So!.. The campus and school are everything you ever dreamed?" All Might asked, as both were now comfortable in their seats.

"Absolutely! A wide smile made its way to Izuku's' face. "This campus really does have it all! It sits on who knows how many hundreds of acres? If I tried scoping out this whole place, I'd get lost in no time, no doubt! And oh, did you see the architect layout of Ground Gamma and Ground Beta?! I can't imagine what kind of training we'll be able to get done with all the cool stuff we have at our disposal, and oh did you see the—"

"Woah, slow down there, kid." All Might waved his arms, cutting off the boy. If he didn't stop him now, who knows how long the kid would go on for?

"I'm stoked you're excited. It's a beautiful campus it truly is."

*poof* All Might now, back in his form of glory, stood up proudly. "Here is where you'll get stronger and mold yourself into the professional hero you're meant to become!"

Izuku just watched and nodded in excitement. All Might was right. Now was the time to get stronger and chase that dream of his to be a hero!

But first…

"B-but uhm wait, All Might?" Izuku's excitement started to fade away a little.

"Yes, Young Midoriya!" All might still stood proudly with his hands placed on his hips.

"F-first, shouldn't I find out what course and classes I'm taking? "

*poof*

Returning to his skinny form, All Might sat back down from Izuku. The air surrounding All Might tensed up.

"You're not officially going to be taking any course or classes this whole first term, Young Midoriya." The excitement from earlier went to nerves. And now those nerves went into straight confusion.

"W-wait what?" Izuku asked, frozen in his seat. Feeling perplexed, he just wanted some answers.

"I know and understand you want to become a professional hero as fast as possible. And I sure as hell knew you wanted to do it while attending my Ala mater. So I'm ecstatic everything has worked out so far and you're able to officially be a student here starting today!" All Might gave him a big smile and thumbs up.

"But unfortunately, the conventional path to becoming a hero that every other student ends up taking here will be a much different path than the one you're about to embark on, Young Midoriya." Izuko could see a flicker of fire start to form in All Mights' eyes.

"You see…I Don't want you to take my title as the #1 hero in this country kid…No I want you to achieve something bigger.."

The flicker of fire that was burning in All Mights Eyes now grew to be raging flames.

The tension that filled the room kept growing.

All Might had Izuku in the palm of his hands. What was going on? What was All Might trying to say?

"I want you to save the world, Izuku."

———

What mother doesn't worry about their son?

Inko Midoriya didn't view her life as a difficult one, frustrating at times, sure, but never difficult enough to regret it.

Her husband, Hisashi, left their family shortly after their son, Izuku, was born. Going away to America for what he described as a foreign business trip turned into his great expedition to never see his family again.

Izuku was still a baby when it happened, so they managed to form a normal household between just the two of them from the start without the lasting effects of no father around.

When the devastating news came when Izuku was 4 years old that he would remain quirkless all his life, things started to change.

What once seemed like a chance at a normal future for their family, despite just being the two of them, now turned into a hell like reality they lived in.

All Inko wanted to do was make her son happy in life.

But as long as Izuku remained quirkless, that would never happen.

All Izuku wanted was to follow his Idol All Might in the path of being a hero. Maybe since his father was absent all his life, that's why he took such a strong liking and obsession with the hero All Might.

But quirkless kids couldn't be heroes.

That's what all of society told her son.

That's what all his friends told her son.

More importantly, that's what she told her son.

Having to deal with all that for 11 years took a toll on her son and she was very aware of it.

If he wasn't at school or the library, he would always be home locked in his room. He never went out and hung out with other people. It wasn't hard to see her son didn't have any friends.

She just didn't know what to do besides worry from afar like she always had done.

And then on just some random day, everything had changed.

He came home one day so excited going on and on about how the doctors were wrong all those years ago and he, in fact, did actually have a quirk.

She thought he was actually losing it.

No matter how much she asked to see this quirk of his, he refused to show her it, saying he couldn't control it properly yet. But he promised the day he learned how to use it correctly, he would show her. She just went with the flow.

But Things were definitely different though.

After never going out for so many years, now he was spending all his free time "at a gym" training. The sudden change in her son's attitude and lifestyle made her skeptical that something else had to be going on.

At first considering attaching her son with a gps tracker to get some answers, she couldn't help but notice the results Izuku's body was showing from "the gym". She decided to believe her son…For now.

Over months, Izuku changed more and more from a scared, lonely kid to a young, mature teenage boy in front of her eyes. She was so proud and happy for her son, but something still seemed off.

He still seemed lonely.

Finding out her son passed the entrance exams for U.A. high school thanks to his quirk was the greatest feeling ever. She had spent the entire night and most of the week crying tears of joy. All of her son's dream were coming true.

Her son now had a quirk and was now about to attend the same High School that his role Model All Might attended. And soon he would finally be a professional hero.

And soon her dream would come true too.

Her dream of her son making friends. A dream where her son wouldn't be alone anymore in the world.

In the world's eyes, he seemed normal now. But most importantly, in his eyes, he felt normal now. At least, that's what she hoped.

With the sense of normalcy and a fresh start, she couldn't be more excited for her son and the upcoming school year.

Leave it to her son, making her newfound excitement turn right back into worrying nerves on just the first day of school.

"M-mom I'm home."

"Oh Izuku baby, I was so worried about you!" The tears rolled down Inko's face, and she greeted her son by the front door with a hug.

"Did you not see any of my messages?! I was starting to get scared! Where were you?"

Izuku should had more prepared for this moment, he told himself while his mom suffocated him.

He was well past the time he told his mom he'd originally be home. Worst yet, he was out past his max curfew time of 8. It was already well past 830 once Izuku reached his front door.

"I-I know mom I'm sorry! I had a couple of conversations with some school staff. They all seemed so cool s-so I wanted to just pick some information from them real quick." He started saying as he got out of his mom's hold on him.

"B-between all the cool stuff I learned from them and experiencing U.A. up close for the first time. I just had a lot on my mind and took my time at the gym and walking home." It wasn't entirely a lie.

He did technically stay at school awhile, talking to a staff member. And it was pretty surreal to finally step foot on U.A. Campus.

After the long and revealing conversation he had with All Might, Izuku lost himself in deep thought as he aimlessly wandered around his town of Musutafu. His teacher gave Izuku a lot to think about moving forward.

"Just next time, let your mother know if you're going to stay out, okay, mister?" His mother embraced her son again before letting him go so he could make his way to the kitchen for a drink.

"I kept thinking something might have happened to you." His mom started to explain.

"But then I started thinking.. oh maybe he's out with new friends he just made, and he's just too busy having fun and forgot about his poor old mother.." Inkos voice growing with excitement in a teasing tone.

"Sooo, should I get the ingredients ready for a cake when you invite them over?!" She continued on with her banter.

How quickly a mother's emotions and attitude could change.

"N-no mom…Nothing new in that department," his mother grew slightly sad.

"B-but I did talk with a couple of girls before classes started. They were nice!" Izuku remembered the orange-haired girl named Kendo fondly.

"Oh, you don't say" a smirk formed on his mom's face. Those girls must had left a good impression for her son to bring this memory up himself. Now wasn't the time for her to push things.

"That's great to hear sweetie.. So how were your classes like? Are you with all the other heroes in training like you wanted?"

How U.A. Highschool operated seemed kind of complex to Inko. Was it a school just specific for heroes in training? Did you learn other stuff? Math? Science? All that other good stuff?

All she knew was that if you were able to get accepted and attend U. A, then you were on the fast track to becoming a professional hero. And that's all she cared about when it came to her son. He finally got a chance to chase his dream.

"Uuhm yeah..it's a little complicated how it all work. They think I have great potential with my quirk b-but since I still struggle to control it since It's new..they wanted to start me off in some easier classes before I take the official hero course classes."

Inko didn't really know what any of that meant as she gave her son a questioning face. Looking at her son, he didn't seem too upset about this predicament he found himself in.

"L-like I said, it's a little complicated." Izuku made a fist, bringing it up to his face. The look of intensity spreading wide among features.

"I'm excited though. I really am... I was quirkless all my life, or so I thought. I'm so far behind everyone else my age so it's tough to get mad seeing others ahead of me.. but.. I'll catch up to them... And.. and one day I'll pass them all."

Inko was floored by the emotion and passion her son was showing in front of her.

Was this really her son?

"P-plus I'm attending All Might's very own Alamater! How can I not be excited?!"

Yep, this was her son alright.

After Exchanging some more small talk and goodnights, the two Midoriya's each made their way to their rooms.

It was such a long and exhausting day for Izuku, yet the feeling of restlessness was consuming him.

The moonlight pierced into his room as he sat on the edge of his bed, replaying the day over and over in his head. Most importantly the life altering conversation they shared in the afternoon.

All Might dropped a lot of new information for Izuko to consume today. Information…that would have been really useful to know the first day when All Might offered him his power.

Along with that, new information came with a new form of an ideology of sorts.

Izuku didn't know which was hitting him the hardest.

It was too late to turn back now. The train had already left the station and was on a straight course to the unknown.

"I'll do both!" Izuku exclaimed in excitement, finally releasing himself from his thoughts.

"I'll become the #1 hero and save the World."

Unfortunately for Izuku, he would soon learn..

That possibility.

Didn't exist.

THANK YOU FOR READING!

This story won't take long to get to where it needs to be. Everything will be flushed out and detailed while advancing quickly through the story to get to the juicy parts.

Izuku will have amazing character Development that will show how truly badass he could had been. This will be done in a realistic and grounded way. I'm not going to make him straight OP. The kid is going to have to work hard if he wants to control that power of his.

Momo will have a huge role and will be vital to Izuku's growth.

Any small changes from the main source and my story will try to be highlighted beforehand. (Example: Gym Gamma in my fic will be known as having one large main training field and many smaller ones inside) I have no clue if that's how it is in the original sources, but small changes like those are what will help my story flow better.

If my writing was sloppy I apologize. It's been awhile.

I appreciate all constructive criticism if you feel the need to bring anything to my attention.
