Darkness, thats what she felt or thats what she expected to feel or just see. But no, Rita Morgan awoke to a campfire. She saw 3 girls. One looked like an athlete, red headed and had her hair in braids. The other had darker skin, black hair, glasses. She looked a little scared and or nervous. The last one looked like a witch,a black hat, black clothes which have a mystical look to them, wiccan maybe. The girl had glasses and red hair.
Either way all 3 of them looked at Rita surprisingly as if they were expecting someone else
Although Mrs. Morgan was still in shock as what happened to her. She remembered the Trinity killer, she remembered the bathtub. It was all glimpses. Harrison, her son. Her family. She left them behind to where ever this is.
"Excuse me. Where am I?" she asked a bit timidly as she was still shook from her most recent events
"No time to explain now. Just, if you feel your heart beating... hide in a locker or behind a rock. Our trial will start soon" the athlete girl told her. And before Rita could ask what was this about a trial, she felt something around her ankles. She noticed the black and thick fog, it was rising up and it swalllowed her

Once again there was darkness and then there was... snow? Opening her eyes, she found herself in what looked like an abandoned ski lodge or resort. She huddled up since she felt cold, after all she was in a dress after all. A sleeveless frilly dress. She was a florida girl after all. And now she's in a cold place. Rita wandered around, confused. How did she go from her bathroom to a campfire to a ski resort.

Looking around for any signs of life, she once again found the athlete girl who was working on a generator.
"Excuse me, can you answer my question now?" she still had her polite tone about her. Rita was a good soul after all.
"Oh sure, just come and help me" the other girl said. Rita didnt know how she can help, but she crouched down as the girl told her what to do. And as they slowly worked on a generator, she spoke
"The name's Meg. Right now you're in Ormond."
"Why are we fixing this generator?"
"To escape from the killer"
That answer surprised the blonde which made her miss a wire and blow up a generator
"Come again?"
"Shhh"
Soon a heart beat was felt, it was distant, but the killer was definitelly in the area. The sounds of glass shattering can be heard
"Uuggh, fuck. Its the Clown" Meg groaned, seemingly annoyed. To Rita that is just bewildering. How can you be annoyed by a killer and not fear him

As they hid, Rita looked around the corner and indeed she did see an overweight Clown who was mixing a bottle. He was approaching them, until the black hair girl threw a pallet and gained his attention. The Clown started to chase her instead.
Meg who was also looking at what happened sighed from relief
"Lets go, lets finish this gen" she urged Rita to finish this generator with her
"So, its a good thing Claudette got his attention, we're almost halfway done with this gen. But I doubt she'll hold up m-" and a scream from Claudette could be heard that she was downed. "Yeah that lasted as expected... she's better and hiding and doing gens than looping him." she took a breath "Oh theres so much to explain. And a trial is a bad place to give you the tldr or to get to know you." another scream was heard, this one was the sound of Claudette being hooked
"Mikaela can save her. Lets work"
Rita at this point who knew nothing could just nod and do as Meg says, it didnt take long as they finished a gen
"I'll take the Clowns attention, you go off on your own in the main building over there" she said as she pointed to the ski resort "Fix a generator over there. If that one is fixed, a good option is the killer shack. Dont worry about the name. The Clown wont be there, he'll be chasing someone. If its you, just run and dont worry... uhmmm... hmm...dont worry about dying? I know that sounds weird. But dont worry. Anyway, gotta go"
And so Meg ran off. Rita didnt have any other choice so she went to one of the buildings.

As she got to the main building, she saw the witch girl who was working on the generator
"Mikaela, right?" she asked, just to make sure she got the name right
Mikaela looked up to her and smiled and nodded in response to her question. Rita joined her
"Good job on evading the killer. I mostly have to thank you 3 for that. But what did Meg mean about not worrying about dying?"
"Oh, well the killers can catch us and kill us. It can be painful. The Doctor can zap you, the Demogorgon can eat your face, Clown stomps on your head and cuts off your finger. Like some killers can really go all out. Like the Oni. But they can only kill us by their hand if they brought an offering"
"An offering?"
"Long story short, they have to appease an Entity. Otherwise only the Entity gets to have us from one of those hooks"
Rita looks out of the side of the resort, an open hole and sees a hook.
"If you're hooked 3 times, you're dead. Or just once if no one saves you. Once we finish fixing 5 generators we can open the exit gates and leave"
"And we can go home?"
"We wish. We go back to the campsite"
They heard the sound of someone going down and being hooked
"Stay there. Its like 90% done. I'll go for the rescue"
Rita nodded as Mikaela left. It wasnt long until she heard the heartbeat. It was approaching, it was more intense. She went upstairs quickly hoping the killer would not see her.
Once up, she got a better look at the killer, the Clown they mentioned. And yep, its a killer Clown, the facepaint, the clothes, along with him being overweight and coughing a lot. But suddenly he went towards her. Upstairs in the main building. How did he know? How did he track her?
Her instinct took over and she ran. But the Clown threw his bottle. The glass shattered and released the toxins which made Rita cough and get her vision blurry. Suddenly she felt a slash on her back. She ran faster for a moment to escape him and the pain. But with her not knowing how to run a killer, the Clown easily was able to down her with one more bottle and a timed slash. He picked up the blonde newbie and placed her on a hook. It was her first and it was painful.
The last generator kicked off as the exit gates were powered. But the survivor trio did not want to leave the newcomer to die. So they rushed in to save her. Meg worked on the gate, Claudette went for an unhook, but the killer waited there. Claudette thought she could time an unhook, like get hit and unhook. But no, she miscalculated and got grabbed. After which she was dropped down and stomped on by the Clown to stay down. Mikaela went for a save. But with one slash she went down.

This was something all the veteran survivors knew. It was their dreaded Hex. No One Escapes Death.
Meg who 99'd the gate saw that Rita was hooked and the other two were downed. The killer was leaving the two slugged. She knew also that no one had Unbreakable. Meg personally had Windows of Opportunity, a perk that let her see auras of windows and pallets. Lithe which allowed her to gain speed after a vault. Resilience to fix gens faster when injured and Adrenaline. Claudette had Kindred with her, which was good for everyone when she was hooked. They can see eachothers auras and the killers aura. She had Blood Pact when she heals an obsession they get a speed boost if they're close to one another, plus more aura reading in general. She had Self Aware to see her own scratch marks and Empathy. Not much for Exhaustion perks or Unbreakable.
Mikaela had Sprint Burst, Prove Thyself which sped up the generator fixing, Alert which let her see Clowns aura if he broke anything and Blast Mine to blind the killer when he kicks a generator. So yeah, no one had Unbreakable and Meg was now in an unenvyable situation.

Mikaela and Claudette were down and the newcomer was in 2nd stage. Though Meg doubted she'd last since this was the first time and the struggle phase might get her by surprise.

Back with the Clown, Rita watched as he picked up Claudette and carried her away. Although something pierced her and she didnt comprehend what. But all she knew that darkness again had consumed her
