A/N: Here we are are, the beginning of a new story. This stroy is one that I've always wanted to do, but haven't got to until now. I personally believe that this ship, StahlxCordelia, should be canon, but that's just my opinion. I don't own Fire Emblem, Intelligent Systems and Nintendo do. I hope you enjoy.

At Ylisse High, you can find a wide variety of students. There are nerds, jocks, preps, and trouble makers. Ylisse High may be a somewhat prestigious school in the heart of Ylisstol, the capital of the land, but the students can be very down-to-earth sometimes. Stahl is representive of his school. When someone looks at him, they would never guess he was the son of a famous artist. He had a perpetually messed-up mop of hair, a grin that was almost infectious, and he spoke with the normalities of an average teenager.

Stahl was an average student, not excelling in any subject, but normally better in physical courses. He also had a trait that was common with most guys in the whole school. He had a massive adoration for the school's star student Cordelia, the beautiful daughter of the school's headmaster. She was the highest-scoring, most popular girl around. She walked with certainty and grace. She was beautiful, but she could be a bit harsh and blunt at moments. She was very confident, and liked to gloat about it a lot. Yet, with all her flaws, every guy was infatuated by the red-haired Queen.

Today was starting off as normal as any other. Stahl had just been dropped off by his father's driver at the front door of the building. He prepared himself for the loudness and general insanity that was Ylisse High in the morning. He pushed open the door, and was imediately confronted by someone. Stahl sighed and looked at the cheery girl in fron of him. "Hey, Lissa, I see your as cheery as usual." Lissa, the little sister of the football team's captain Chrom, was admittedly adorable. Her blonde curls were up in her standard pigtails. Her green eyes oozed happiness, and her smile always seemed to put a grin on everybody's face. Her and her brother were the kids of Ylisstol's biggest bank's CEO.

Lissa laughed and hopped a little where she stood. "Yep, and I'm so happy because guess what, guess what!" Stahl smiled at her. "What? What?," he asked in an imitating voice. She giggled at the man's antics. "Oh hush up. I get to spend the whole day with Cordelia and her friends today. Like ohmigodsohmigods!" She was squeaking like a fangirl meeting her favourite actor. Stahl's eyes widened. He suddenly felt envy towards the girl growing in his heart. "Well, lucky you! Have fun! Tell me about later, 'kay?" Lissa smiled. "Of course I will. What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?" She grinned evily. "I may even mention you to Cordelia because we all know how much you like her."

Stahl's cheeks turned bright red. "No...no no no. Please don't do that. That would embarass me in front of everybody if anyone there lets word out." He was terrified of what would happen if Lissa did tell Cordelia how he felt for her, and he didn't want to find out. "Plase don't do that. Can't this just be a happy day for you, and leave me in peace. Now I want to eat before I turn redder than a tomato." Lissa tired to hold back a laugh at Stahl's reaction, but she was doing poorly. "Okay. Okay. Whatever you say, loverboy."

They went to the lunchroom and got breakfast. They found the rest of thier little group sitting at a table across the room. At the table was Robin, the group's brain and genious in almost anything not involving physical activity, Chrom, Lissa's charming brother and crush for many a girl in the school, and Sumia, head cheerleader and Chrom's girlfriend. They all said thier greetings to the two as they sat down.

Stahl began to eat and turned towards Lissa. "Well..have you told everybody about your great news?" He smiled as she jumped at her name being mentioned. She shook her head. "Everybody, I am going to have a day to remember. Cordelia is letting me hang out with her and her friends! I'm so excited!" Sumia giggled with her, and they continued to gush about it all throughout breakfast.

A little bit later, Stahl spoke up to get the girls' attentions. "Lissa's anouncement may be amazing and all, but if we don't head to class, we're gonna be late." He looked at his watch and noticed exactly how late it was. It was only 5 minutes before he had to be in class! Oh crap! My class is half-way across the campus! He got up from his seat and darted out the door, leaving the table wide-eyed. They shook thier heads, and Chrom volunteered to take Stahl's plate up. They left the cafteria and headed to their classes.

(History classroom, second floor)

Stahl made it in just in time for roll-call, so the teacher let him off scoff-free. He went to his seat in the back and flopped down, panting from his run. He heard a stifled giggle next to him and he looked over and saw Henry holding back a laugh. "Yeah yeah. Laugh it up, Goth." Henry always wore varying shades of black or grey, which contrasted his bleach-white hair. He had his long hair pulled back behind his ears, showing of the onyx earrings he had on. He was a sadistic goofball, always cracking jokes, and causing harm to at least one person. Today was no different. The teacher started roll call, so Henry shut his mouth for the short time.

However, once the teacher started the lesson, Henry started to not listen yet again and doodled on a piece of paper. Stahl tried to focus, but curiosity of what Henry was drawing started to get to him. He leaned over and his eyes widened at what the goth kid was drawing. It was a cruel depiction of Stahl running away, embarrassed, from Cordelia. Anger grew in his heart, resulting in him just reached over and snatched the paper from the other guy's desk. He crumpled it up quickly and shoved it into his bag. This created a lot of noise in the quiet room, making the teacher immediately notice them. Furious, she started to walk towards where they were seated.

Stahl began to panic and thinking of a plausible excuse for his sudden fit of anger. He simply thought that showing her the picture was the only way. He rumaged through his bag and pulled out the paper ball and started to smooth it out. He finished just as the teacher reached them. She glared at both guys, showing no difference in hate to either. Her gaze locked on Stahl. "Stahl, can you explain why you so rudely grabbed Henry's paper?" Stahl stumbled over his words. "Uh...I was offended and embarrased at the subject material, so I took it before Henry here could make it worse. Here, just look at it." He held up the wrinkled paper to the teacher, who quickly snatched it up. She looked at the paper and her nose wrinkled up. "Mr. Henry! This is a very childish thing to draw about a fellow peer. This is low even for you." She basically spat the words at the goth, who just sat there with his eyes looking down towards the ground. Henry nodded. "Yes. It may be childish, but what Stahl did was even more so! He acted like a five-year old at a simple prank." He gared at the young man next to him, his green eyes glowing with anger.

The teacher looked between the two and sighed. "You both make valid points. Therefore, both of you now have detention today after school. I believe you," she looked at Henry, "already know where to go, so show Stahl there when the time comes." She crumpled back up the paper and went back up to the front of the room and threw it in the trash bin. Both guys looked at her, jaws agape. Great! Now I have to spend even more time with that little dipshit. She cleared her throat and continued with the lesson.

The rest of the class went by without fault, except the hate-filled glares Stahl and Henry gave each other from time to time. The bell denoting the end of the class rang, and the room quickly empitied into the hall. Stahl gathered up his books and quickly left before Henry could try to start something. Stahl made his way to his locker and fiddled with the lock. He got it open and put his books in to replace them with others.

Stahl sighed and shut the locker door, and then he saw Chrom's smiling face beisde him. He jumped a little, startled by the blunette's sudden appearance. "Hey, Chrom. Where you headed to?" He tried to hide his anger at Henry as he spoke, but he must've been too obvious. Chrom tilted his head. "Uh..I'm just headin' on to my next class. Did something happen during History?" Stahl cursed under his breath. Damnit. I guess Chrom is forever watchful. He let out a breath and nodded glumly. "Henry, the goth in our grade, he did something that got me mad, and I made a scene about it. Now we have detention together after school today." He looked at Chrom and feigned a light smile. "But hey, it's only for one day. Thank Naga." Chrom nodded. "Yeah, that's good, but it ruined our plan for this evening."

Stahl remembered the plan. "Well, sorry I have to bail then. Please explain to the others why. Actually, why don't we just find them?" He started towards the stairs without even getting a response, checking to see if Chrom was still with him every so often. The morning's events had disgruntled him. Even so, he had to get on with the day, so he went down stairs and did a quick circle on his feet, looking for at least one of his friends. He noticed Sumia and Lissa chatting near the doors to the gym and Robin was silently walking to his next class. He pointed towards the two girls, and Chrom nodded. They headed over and nodded thier hellos.

Stahl could tell Lissa was still excited about her day with Cordelia, and Sumia immediatedly ran to Chrom's side and wrapped her arms around his bicep. Stahl smiled at the lovebirds and took a breath. "Guys, Chrom already knows what I'm about to tell you. I have some bad news for our plans for later today." He looked at thier puzzled faces. Lissa spoke up first. "Well, tell us. You've got us nervous!" Stahl held up his hands in front of him. "Okay. Okay. Well it's about what happened during History today." He recounted the story, exactly the same way as he had to Chrom.

The girls faces were ones of gloominess and sympathy. Sumia placed at a hand on Stahl's shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll move the thing we had planned to tomorrow. I'm sorry that Henry got you so mad." Lissa nodded in agreement. "Yeah. That picture must've been bad to make you angry enough to do that." Stahl thought to himself, Yeah. Bad is an undersatement. "Thanks guys. Now I'm just bummed that I have to spend more time alone with that bastard this evening." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He saw Cordelia and her possee coming down the hall. "Hey Lissa. Look who's comin' this way." He pointed at the red-hair beauty. Lissa quietly squealed. "Ohmygods ohmygods! I'm gonna see if she'd let me walk with her now. Talk to you guys later." She nodded after the others did the same, and she was off towards the Queen herself.

"Well now that she's gone, I guess I'll leave you lovebirds to yourselves." He nodded his goodbye and started towards the gym. He reached it and went inside to find Maribelle, one of Cordelia's closest friends, sitting in a chair pouting near the entrance.

Why is she like that? Might as well ask. He slowly walked over to her and prepared for the worse.

End of Chapter One. I have to admit. This one chapter was extremely fun to write, so I hope you enjoy it. See ya next time.
