A/N: So, guess who's been playing Kingdom Hearts for the past few months? Don't worry, I won't be working on this story alongside the other two long ones. This is just to get the idea out of the way. I don't know when I'll be able to update this. So, hopefully all of you will enjoy this and I'll leave you a fun guessing game. The game is "Guess which Kingdom Hearts character I really don't like." Those who follow me on the Blue Bird know very well who I'm talking about.

Light of Salvation

First Lock: Once Upon a Time

"Once upon a time, people lived in peace, bathed in the warmth of a great and benevolent Light. Everyone loved the light but then the people began to fight over it. They wanted to keep it to themselves. And Darkness was born in their hearts. The darkness spread, threatening to swallow the light and many of the people's hearts. To combat the darkness the light gave a gift; powerful weapons that were effective against the darkness, known as Keyblades. Among these Keyblade wielders, there was one that stood out from the rest who many called the strongest. This wielder defeated the hordes the Darkness sent out with ease. In time, these wielders gathered the leftover darkness they defeated and the Light granted another gift; a legendary weapon called the χ-blade and the strongest wielder was chosen to use it. Together, the strongest wielder and the strongest Keyblade triumphed over the legions and hordes the Darkness commanded. The χ-blade had another purpose; to open a special doorway and seal away the Darkness. The strongest wielder opened this doorway and drove the Darkness and its forces inside it. However, such a power required a steep price. The strongest wielder alone could hold back the forces, but the doorway needed to be closed from the outside and the inside. The strongest wielder threw the χ-blade to the one they trusted the most and use it to close the doorway. The Trusted One, with grief and regret, closed the doorway and forever sealed the Darkness away along with the strongest Wielder. Then, the Trusted One destroyed the χ-blade so no one else could use it. The χ-blade broke into twenty pieces; seven pieces of light and thirteen pieces of darkness. The pieces of Darkness were scattered far away from each other while the seven pieces of light were given to seven girls whose hearts were pure and devoid of darkness. When their time came, the piece of light would move on to the next girl with a pure heart. In honor of the strongest Wielder who bravely sacrificed themself, they were given the title of Keyblade Master, the very first one. Though most of the Darkness has been sealed away, its remnants remain to this day. However, the Keyblade Masters and wielders of today continue to fight the darkness and if it should ever return, they shall be ready to defend the light and its people just as the First Keyblade Master had done so long ago."

An elderly woman sitting on a chair next to a small bed closed a book and chuckled lightly. "I can tell you liked it, as usual, Kairi."

A small girl let out a happy giggle while under the covers of her bed. "Yeah, I did! But Grandma, I still don't know what happened to the Trusted One."

Kairi's grandmother thought about how to answer the question for a few seconds. "It's said that after the war, the Trusted One was not seen again. Though, one of the things I heard is that Trusted One never stopped mourning over the loss of the first Keyblade Master."

"The Trusted One must've loved the first Keyblade Master a lot." Kairi guessed.

Kairi's grandmother nodded in agreement. "I believe so too." She stood up from her chair. "Now, it's time for bed." Kairi nodded back as her grandmother kissed her on the forehead and walked away toward the doorway. She looked at Kairi one more time before flipping the switch down and the whole room went dark. The elderly woman closed the door behind her but left it slightly open where a crack of light over Kairi.

Kairi yawned as she slowly closed her eyes. Before sleep took over, she had one thought. "Keyblade Wielders are so cool. I really want to be one."

A/N: Oh, and btw, I'm just going to put this out there, Kingdom Hearts I: C, Kingdom Hearts II: A-, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep: B+, and Kingdom Hearts III: A. I've already seen the cutscene movies for Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days or as I call it, 388 ½ Days. At the time this is being uploaded, I'm not going to play 2.8 because I believe I've had enough Kingdom Hearts for quite a long while. Anyway, I hope I did this good enough. If not, people will definitely let me know.
