As always, I do not/ have not/ probably, nor will I ever own the rights to Bob's Burgers. Those belong to Disney 21st Century Fox/ Loren Bouchard. Now, onto Chapter 3!

Ch. 3 In Her Alone Time

Chapter Summary: This is what I think Jocelyn does when she's alone in her room.

Jocelyn rarely gets time alone. Between school, Tammy needing constant attention, and her bustling social schedule. When she does, it's always an event. Her door is closed, she has some sort of snack or drink, she's in comfy clothes, always has music playing, and the rest is up to her. Sometimes, she practices cheer routines. As a co-captain of the squad Jocelyn thinks it's important for her to know every cheer and move, they do.

Of course, she's only allowed to cheer and come up with cheers in her room. Stunting and tumbling aren't allowed. Last time she cartwheeled in her room, a shoe flew off and broke her window. Other times, she'll practice makeup. She knows her way around a bottle of foundation and contour products. Eyeshadow and lip gloss really aren't that hard. Jocelyn's difficulties lie in lip liner and eyeliner. She's almost certain that she has lip liner down pat.

Eyeliner is more of a struggle. She wants to learn to do those cool lines she sees in the magazine but that bottom liner just does her in. Other times, she does homework. Granted, it's super rare that her homework doesn't get done at lunch or school. Homework is boring and there's a million other things she'd rather be doing. Such as art. Nobody really knows like outside of her mom and Tammy, but Jocelyn really likes art. It all started when her mom bought her a paint set when she was six.

Though not the best quality, she used every bit of that set until the crayons broke, the paint ran out, and the markers ran dry. From there, she was in full blown love. She doesn't paint as much as she used to but she's constantly drawing. In notebooks, random pieces of paper, napkins when she's bored at restaurants, and of course on posters for school. Every time there's a project for school that requires a poster, Jocelyn is always the one elected to do it. Not that she minded.

It made her happy. Jocelyn even thought about going to art school. An idea that was swiftly shut down by her dad. He doesn't think Jocelyn could make any real money with an art degree. Who cares? Jocelyn didn't do art for money. She doesn't care about money that much. She just wanted to do what made her feel happy for the rest of her life. Other times when Jocelyn is alone, she journals. But not in a weird Tina way. Like the normal way.

She writes about her parents, her friends, her brother, school, and her crush that she'd never admit to having on Darryl. Jocelyn didn't know why she liked him so much. Maybe it's his confidence despite being one of the dorkiest guys in school. Maybe it's because Jocelyn can't deny the fact that Darryl has really sweet eyes. Maybe it's the way he sings. Or the way he talks. She knows he makes her feel nervous when he walks into the library for tutoring.

She wouldn't dare to say this out loud. Tammy would kill her, and everybody would laugh at her. So, she keeps it to herself. Just like everything else. Jocelyn also sometimes pretends she's a news anchor for a huge TV network. News wasn't exactly something Jocelyn wanted to do at first. It was much more of a Tammy thing that she was dragged into. Somewhere along the way, she started to like it. She liked being on camera, loved the idea of reporting huge stories, the cute outfits, and the make-up crew.

It all sounded so glamorous. Plus, she already knew how to do it. Granted, the school news at Wagstaff was small potatoes compared to CNN. It still counted for something. Other times when Jocelyn is in her room she just thinks. Hard to believe, right? Everybody thinks that she's an airhead due to some things she said and her valley girl in Jersey drawl. She's way more introspective than that. She thinks about her mom. Who's always doing something for her family.

She thinks about her dad who seems to care more about his job than his wife and kids. Not that she's complaining. Her dad's given her family a great life. She just wishes he was home more. She thinks about her brother. Though, he gets the least amount of thought cause he's a pest. She thinks about her friends and her friendship with them. Like how she's not very close with Zeke but knows he really likes Tina. How sometimes she wishes she was close with Jimmy Jr again.

Like when they were kids. How her, Tammy, and Jimmy can be a little mean to Tina. Meanwhile, Tina is actually a really good person and a decent friend that in some ways they didn't deserve. And of course, Jocelyn thinks about her friendship with Tammy most of all. Tammy was such a polarizing figure in Jocelyn's world. A friend, at times a sister, figure, and sometimes her bully. Tammy could be really great sometimes.

She can be supportive and have your back when she wants to. Other times, Jocelyn felt used. Tammy can be a handful. Jocelyn is left to deal with said handful herself. It's hard to deal with and honestly hard to trust. Yet, she's scared to walk away. When Tammy's upset, she can go nuclear. Look at how she treats Tina. Jocelyn couldn't' go through that. That's when Jocelyn has to stop herself. Too much focus on her friends makes her panic.

No matter what she's up to, Jocelyn LOVED being in her room. Now if only she could find more time for herself.

A/N: Thank you for reading this entry and I really hope you guys liked my head canons. I had a lot of fun writing this chapter and picturing Jocelyn in all these head canons. Thank you and I'll see you soon. Bye guys!
