A Hero's Life Reboot EP 12: Metal Morphing is so 1987

As Clover is enjoying a book on the couch in the Living room, snacking on some chips as well, Ben and Alex are dribbling soccer back and forth. "Let's see if you can keep up with my mad skills, Alex! Like my corner kick!" Ben grins as he bounces the ball with his back and kicks it hard, sending it bouncing off the wall and then back at Ben as he headbutts it and catches it in his foot. "Strike kick!" "Not bad, bro! Now, watch this!" As Alex dribbled the ball, Clover spoke out as she was annoyed. "Alex, Ben! Can you 2 dribble somewhere else? I'm so sick of anything related to soccer!"

"You know, soccer tryouts are coming up. And this year, the team is co-ed!" "Yeah! My school's soccer tryouts are only a month away! So, I've got to sharpen up my skills if I want to make the team!" Ben adds out after his sister, but Clover stands up with a joyful look when Alex mentions 'co-ed'. "Co-ed soccer? Count me in!" Only for the ball to knock over a lava lamp but didn't break it but did smash a vase as it rolled to Sam's feet.

"No soccer inside! House rules, guys!" Ben merely frowns in response. "Jeeze... Sometimes, Sam acts like the dweeb. At least Alex is more fun than Gwen..." He mumbles as Alex responds. "Sorry, mom... Oops! I mean, Sam!" "And I thought living without parents was going to be fun." Clover scoffs. "Here's the thing: Even though we live on our own, we need rules." The rest finished Sam's statement as they spoke together in an annoyed tone. "Because without rules, there's chaos." "We know, Sam!" Ben rolls his eyes at the red-headed teen as she cries out. "Hello?! Look around this place, it's a total dump!"

But as they all glance around, the place looks surprisingly normal. "What dump? This place looks totally fine!" Ben exclaims, but Sam is not convinced she gestures to them to follow her upstairs and opens the door to Ben's room to find it is a total mess. Clothes and toys were scattered on the floor. Tons of smoothie cups were stacked up beside the bed and on the desk. Some comics were on his un-made bed and his video games were scattered in front of his TV. "'Totally fine' huh?" Sam questions with a frown as Ben notices the looks from Clover and Alex he's getting and shrugs out. "More or less?"

Going back downstairs, Sam displays a chart with Clover and Alex on it. "If we follow this chart, the house will be clean in no time. Clover, you're on bathroom duty." Sam orders as she handles a mop and bucket as the blonde teen complains. "Ew! It smells in there!" "Alex. Since today is the 2nd Wednesday of the month, you get to clean the gutters." "Okay! What's a gutter?" Alex asked as she held a rake. "And Ben, you just have 2 tasks: emptying all the trash bins around the house, except my room, which I already got, into the kitchen garbage and take it out. And then, clean your room."

Ben smirks in response. "Not a problem! This looks like a job for-" But before Ben can reach the watch, Sam grabs it as she frowns at the boy. "Ben 'I'm too lazy to clean my room' Tennyson! And only him, if you know what I mean." She lets go as the others groan on the fact that they are going to clean the house, without alien powers to help them out. "Aw, man!" Ben groans as Clover and Alex add out. "Totally." "Ditto."

Intro:

The screen is black, only for a bolt of green lightning to make a flash of white light as upbeat music is heard.

Ben stands as he is smirking at the camera as a black with green bubbles background is behind the tween, making the boy raise both his arms, show off his new Omnitrix, and then slap down with a grin, making a flash of light.

"BEN 10!"

"He's a kid and he wants to have fun!"

Upgrade with hands on hips appears as a close-up of his face shows up in the background as a bolt of lightning comes down.

Big Chill flies across and freezes as the same thing happens to Swampfire, leaping out of an explosion.

"But when you need a superhero, he gets the job done!"

"BEN 10!"

Shock Rock smashes his fists together, sending out electricity waves affecting the 4th wall.

"With A device that he wears on his arm."

"He can change his shape and save the world from harm!"

Ben poses with his Omnitrix, just as headshots of Shock Rock, Water Hazard, Big Chill, and Swampfire show up, one-by-one.

Rath was staring at Grey Matter, who hopped along a bunch of platforms with the watch symbol on it while the tiger alien was confused before it turned into rage as he held his head in anger.

"When trouble's taking place."

Ben was then running towards the screen.

"He gets right in its face!"

"BEN 10!"

Humungousaur, Slapback, Fasttrack and Upgrade's headshots show up as well!

A green circuit board background is shown as 5 aliens show up in a row while Ben is staring at the 4th wall as his right side is shown. The aliens are Shock Rock, Fasttrack, Rath, Swampfire, and 4 Slapbacks.

"When lives are on the line."

The same thing happens with his left side as more aliens appear. The aliens are now: Big Chill, Water Hazard, Grey Matter, Humungosaur, and Upgrade, which is still in normal form.

"It's hero time!"

"BEN 10!"

It ends with Ben and Alex, standing side to side with crossed arms and smirks as well as Normie and Madison on Ben's side and Sam and Clover on Alex's side the title appears above.

And so, the three got to work as Sam supervised. Ben has just finished doing the trash, which took him about 20 mins and now is in his room, gathering all his discarded clothes. "I'm starting to think I should have gone to Europe with Mom and Dad." He grumbles out as he stuffs all his clothes into his closet and slams the door shut, walking away with a smirk, only for the clothes to fall out as the boy growls. But as he glanced at the Omnitrix and noticed Sam wasn't around, the doorbell rang as the girl cried out. "I'll get it!" He smirks. "What Sam doesn't know, won't hurt me at all."

But just before he could slam his hand on the watch, he heard a loud crash from downstairs as he blinked out. "What was that?" He then decides to go check it out, but as he peeks out of his door, he spots Sam, running and hiding in the bathroom as a mailman comes up the stairs, only to see his limbs are made of some sort of liquid metal as they shifted back to normal limbs. "Whoa! What kind of freaky postmen does the mail system in Beverly Hills have?!" Ben whispers as the man kicks down the bathroom door.

Ben frowns as he decides it's hero time, making him dial the watch until he lands on Rath's icon, only to hear the door slam as he sees Sam, leaning on it as she breathes. "What happened?!" Ben asks as the girl answers. "This crazy mailman showed up out of nowhere and is trying to destroy us, for some reason!" As they all barged into the bathroom, hoping to gang up on the man, they found he had disappeared. "What?" Ben breathes out as Alex states. "Uhh? Guys? He's gone." Just then, they spotted a pile of metal-looking slime in the tub. "You call this clean?!" Sam questions Clover as the fashion lover scoffs out. "No! I call it gunk!"

As Alex calls Jerry and explains the situation, Ben studies the slime as he starts to have flashbacks about his summer adventures with his old family. Just then, the 4 were WOOHPED away by steam.

The 4 agents crash down onto the couch as Jerry admires a new aquarium he just got. "Cool tank, Jerry!" Alex smiles out at the fish as the man responds. "It's filled with specimens from the Indian Ocean." "And nasty fish gunk." Sam frowns as the elder speaks out. "Not for long. Oh, GLADIS!" Just then, GLADIS uses some robot arms to vacuum and clean the fish tank while Clover is impressed. "Hey, Jer? Does she clean bathrooms?" "And gutters?" Alex adds as the robot responds. "I don't do gutters." "Neither does Alex." Sam frowns.

"I see living together has done wonders for your friendship." Jerry deadpans as he notices the tension between the girls as Clover explains. "Okay, get this! We were cleaning the house because miss slave driver here is totally against fun." Sam frowns briefly as she continues. "And then this crazed mailman smashed a hole through our wall!" "And then he threw a fridge at us!" "But the weirdest thing was he disappeared, without a trace!" Alex finished Clover, who remembers something. "Maybe he did leave a trace?" She fished out a sponge she used to collect some of the slime and gave it to Jerry as Ben pondered out. "Maybe we're dealing with an alien situation, here?"

"What do you mean, Benjamin?" Jerry asks as all eyes are on him as the boy explains. "Well, during my summer vacation, I had a few encounters with some slime aliens. Especially one species that can disguise themselves as humans and act nasty. They're known as Lenopans or Sludgepuppies as a nickname. They are giant mud aliens that can not only look human, but they can also stretch, make mud waves, and even turn their limbs into weapons. It's possible a rouge Sludgepuppy was the one who attacked us."

"Hmm... Interesting theory, Ben. But I'll have this analyzed, anyway." As Jerry scans it, Alex asks the boy. "How do you know about Sludgepuppies, bro?" "Because the Plumbers and the Sludgepuppies used to fight with each other for a couple of decades, back in my old universe, until they managed to finally get both sides to calm down and put an end to the fights." "Whoa... I'm glad our world is not at war with mud aliens." Sam blinks in surprise as Clover comments. "Considering how yucky they sound; I don't want to know what they look like." "Trust me, Clover, Sludgepuppies were known as some of toughest, nastiest, meanest species in the Galaxy. You don't want to pick a fight with them." "Good point." Clover blinks out at Ben's statement as the spies make a note to not anger or upset a Sludgepuppy if they ever run into one.

"I've finished analyzing the sponge and it is an unknown metal-based substance on Earth, not space." "So much for my Sludgepuppy theory," Ben mumbles. "Where did it come from, anyway?" Jerry displays 3 different locations on the screen as he answers the boy's question. "There are 3 locations where this substance can be traced back to. The 1st is a sulfur mine in Northern Uzbekistan. The 2nd is a sewage treatment plant in New Brunswick and the last is an abandoned wig factory." "We'll take number 3!" All 4 agents cry at the same time, choosing the only place that does not smell. "Good choice!" Jerry smirks.

And so, the girls were given the Wind Tornado Hair Dryer, The Bio-Lab Watch, and a new gadget, the Quick Slick, which is an oil slick firing device. The team arrives at the wig factory and the spies park their bikes as Big Chill lands near them and times out. The 4 ventures in and looks around as they walk, finding nothing but tons of wigs and mannequins. "This place is creepier than a Sci-Fi convention." Clover shudders out as Ben hears and exclaims. "Hey!" "No offensive!" Clover quickly said to Ben.

As they kept exploring, trying to find a clue, Ben stopped when he heard a strange noise from the floor. "Huh?" The boy kneels and taps his knuckles on the floor, making it sound like a door and then solid ground. "Hey, girls? I think there's a secret door here." "What makes you say that?" Sam asks. "Listen." He stomped on the ground as it made the same hollow sound. "Ben's right! It sounds... Hollow here!" Clover points out as they all jumped on the floor, only for it to break as they all screamed and crashed into a pile of wigs.

The spies poke their heads out, throw off the wigs on their heads, and look around to see a secret lab. "Bottom floor: Secret labs, old wigs, and cobwebs galore." Ben quips as Sam uses her watch to scan the place. "The air contains traces of the same metal stuff we found in our bathroom." Just then, they heard a crash and saw a large tanker rolling toward them! "INCOMING!" Alex hollers as the spies use their bungee belts to grabble up as Ben quickly rolls out of the way. "Whoa! Almost became a superhero pancake!" Ben exclaims as he notices a figure running from the scene as he quickly slaps down on the Omnitrix, turning into Swampfire.

The alien gives chase as the spies use their jetpacks to follow through the air. Swampfire threw some seeds in the path of the villain and sprouted them into vines that caught him! "Hey! Let go!" He exclaims as they surround him. "Got him!" "Nice job, Swampfire!" Alex grins out at her transformed brother. "Now, let's see what's under that heinous wig!" Sam exclaims as she uses the Tornado Hair Dryer to blow the powdered wig off to reveal a mid-30s man who has brown hair and green eyes. "No wait! It's Tim Scam!" Clover exclaims in shock as Swampfire is confused. "Uhh? A friend of yours?"

"Not even close!" Sam frowns at the alien's question. "You're supposed to be in jail!" Alex exclaims as the man cooly responds. "And you're supposed to be at home. It is, after all, a school night." They then heard a noise as Alex went to check it out. "So, who is he?" Swampfire asks Clover to explain. "This is Tim Scam. A lousy criminal that used to work for Jerry." She frowns with crossed arms as the alien blinks in surprise. "Wait! What?! This guy was a WOOHP Agent?!"

Sam nods as she continues with crossed arms. "Not just a WOOHP Agent, he used to be the head of the WOOHP weapons and gadgets development lab. Until he got greedy and used his inventions to try and rob places. Jerry caught onto Tim and fired him for it." "Like I told you before, WOOHP never gave me the credit I deserved." The man grumbles as he still remembers how Jerry defeated him long ago.

Swampfire frowns as he glares at the man, reminding him all too well of Phil and Driscol of the Plumbers, who were both kicked out because they got greedy too and tried to use alien tech for their purposes. "Oh, really? You were behind the attack on the spies?" "Correct. By the way..." Tim smirks as he studies Swampfire. "Since when do you girls, hang out with freakshows?" "Freakshows?' Oh, that's original." The alien rolls his eyes as Alex finds and frees the real mailman as Sam calls Jerry to pick up Tim to drop him off at prison. Yet, Swampfire can't help but feel like this victory was too easy for some reason.

The next day, Ben was at school as it was Gym class, and they were playing basketball. As Ben runs to keep up, he spots Lee passing the Ball to him as Ben dribbles it. "Ben! I'm open!" Tony cried out as Ben passed the ball to the youngest Clark and he took and tossed it to his biggest brother, who made the winning shot. "Yeah!" Lee cries out as he and the others cheer at their team winning the game.

After the cheers, Ben is drinking his water bottle as Lee comes up and wipes some sweat from his towel. "Great game, Ben! Nice job with the pass!" "Thanks, dude! Hey, up for some hang-out time after school with the other guys?" "Sure! I'll check with the others and see what they say." The athlete tween said as he ran off, unaware of stepping into a familiar puddle of metal slime that leaked from a ground vent. The slime then starts bubbling as it moves and slowly forms into something.

As Ben finished off his water, he started walking away. "Well, time to hit the showers." But as he is about to turn a corner, Lee shows up and stops the boy as Ben asks. "Hey, Lee! So, did the other guys say they can come?" But Lee just stood there, staring at the Omnitrix welder and grins, showing metal teeth! As Ben blinks in surprise, he asks. "Uhh... Dude? When did you get braces?" But to the boy's surprise, Lee raises his arm as it turns into liquid metal and forms and fires an arrow as Ben leaps out of the way. "Whoa! The morphing metal copycat thing?! I don't get it! I thought that case was wrapped up when we caught Tim Scam?!" Just then, he heard a noise as 'Lee' formed behind him and grins as he approached Ben, who frowned as he dialed his Omnitrix. "Okay, time to rumble, whoever you are!" FLASH

Ben felt his muscles grow as his fur grew all over his body, and his teeth became fangs as he roared as razor-sharp talons popped out of his wrists, he then leaped towards the 4th wall as he finished transforming.

"Gym class is now in session! Today, Rath and others will play 'Pummel the creepy slime dude'! Oh, yeah!" Rath grins out as he pounds his fist into his palm. But the fake Lee snarls as he charges and morphs his hands into hammers while Rath leaps back and dodges the smash. Rath counters by slicing at the slime Lee, only for the faker to smile as he regenerates quickly.

Rath starts getting angry as he grabs the Lee double and leaps up, holding it above his head, and twirls as he slams him down on the ground and it bursts into pieces. "And stay down!" But Rath is surprised to see it reform, only into a duplicate of Rath as it roars as Rath yells out. "Oh! Now you're trying to copy Rath, huh? Well, forget it! No one copies Rath and gets away with it! No one!" They both charge and wrestle with each other as they roll and tumble out of the Gym and into the cafeteria's kitchen, where no one is around as well.

Rath kicks his clone off as the fake Rath grins as he forms axes on his hands. "Oh, now you're making axes, huh? Can I call you 'Axe man', Axe man?" He dodges some axe swipes as they chopped and destroyed some things in the kitchen as Rath lands away from his clone. "Tell you what, Axe man! I'll hold real still, like a stack of logs, till you're ready to chop me in half, okay?" The Rath clone charges and brings both axes down, only for Rath to grab them by the forearms and hold them in place. "I lied!" Rath then rips the arms off as he throws the weapons away as they form into piles of slime.

Rath then did a somersault kick that sent the clone flying as Rath leaped onto it, grabbed it by its head, and yelled out. "You know the difference between me and a stack of logs? LOGS DON'T HIT BACK!" He then delivers a wicked left hook that sends the Rath clone crashing into a table as the slime puddles quickly reform on it, regrowing the arms.

But just then, a salt container that was on the table shook and fell onto the clone, spilling the conditions on it. The clone starts screaming in pain as its skin bubbles and then dissolves into sizzling goop, not moving as Rath blinks as the watch times out. "Uhh... What just happened?" Ben asked in confusion.

He then left the room and whipped out his cell, dialing Sam's number. "Hello? Ben?" "Sam! You are not going to believe what happened at school! I was finished with gym class when my buddy Lee came up to me, only it wasn't him! It was-" "Let me guess: A freaky, metal morphing doubleganger that tried to destroy you?!" "Yeah! How did you know?" "Because the same thing happened to me and the girls at our school! We discovered that the metal slime that we've been seeing can absorb the DNA of whatever it touches! So, some of it got onto me and turned into a clone of me, and then it locked me in the science lab closet and is now heading to WOOHP!"

"Then I got to get you out and to WOOHP, pronto!" Ben exclaims as he dashes out of the school, and he keeps talking to Sam. "I'll be fine! Just get to WOOHP! I think that nasty clone of mine is planning to free Tim Scam!" "Okay! But how do we take these things down?! When I tried to smash mine as Rath, it just kept regenerating!" "Agree! There must be some sort of weakness... Like when our metal clone dissolved into pink gunk when Alex spit that yucky saltwater taffy onto it." "Hold on!" Ben exclaims as he remembers back in the kitchen. "Did you say pink gunk? When my clone got knocked into a salt container, it turned into the same thing as well! You don't think..." "That salt is their weakness! You're right, Ben! Salt can defeat them! Good luck!"

Ben hung up as the Omnitrix was recharged and ready to go. "Just give me a little cooperation..." Ben made his choice and slapped down on it, turning into Fasttrack, much to his joy. "Yes! Now to make a quick stop before WOOHP!" He dashed off to the rescue!

At WOOHP HQ, things were not looking good for Alex, Clover, and Jerry as they were back-to-back with themselves and more metal clones of them, and the evil Sam clone approached with sharp metal weapons. "Okay, this situation wasn't covered in our training manual!" Clover cries out as Jerry speaks back. "Remind me to add it in, later! If there is a later." "At last, WOOHP is finished!" Tim smirks as Alex cries out. "These creatures are unstoppable!" "They can't be. Every being has a weakness." Jerry responds.

"And Jer is right!" Fasttrack exclaims as he slides to a stop into the office, carrying a large bag on him. "Fasttrack!"' Alex exclaims in joy at her brother as Tim chuckles. "Who's this? Another freak?" "Call me the alien who's taking down your slime creeps, Scam!" He then took out a handful of what was in the bag as the elder man was confused. "Salt?" Clover and Alex, on the other hand, realize what the alien is implying as the blonde gasps out. "Of course! Salt can stop these things! Just like with Arnold!"

Fasttrack smirks as he starts throwing salt as hard and fast as he can, hitting all the clones as they scream and dissolve into pink gunk. Tim is shocked and horrified at his plan being undone. As the human agents smiled at the clones being destroyed, Fasttrack sped up to Tim and grinned as he cracked his knuckles. "Lights out, Timmy!" With a solid punch, Tim was knocked into a wall and out cold.

"Way to go, Ben! That guy was giving us the creeps." Clover smirks as Alex hugs her little brother. "Totally! You saved us!" "You should thank Sam! She was the one who-" The alien stops as he realizes something important. "Oh, no! Sam! She's still in the closet!''' He took off as the others blinked. "Maybe he can bring Sam back here? This office is a mess." Jerry suggests.

The spies were trudging back home, tired from dealing with Tim and his crazy metal clone plan. "We still haven't cleaned up from our mailman's visit," Sam states. "Clover, you pick up the broken stuff. Alex, you wash the floors. Ben, you still need to clean your room." Clover sighs. "Yeah... Okay, Sam." Alex groans. "Go away, Sam. We're exhausted." "Saving WOOHP took a lot out of us. Not to mention all that running around as Fasttrack and having to deal with Rath's evil twin." Ben moans as he goes up the stairs. "I'm just going to nap on my bed."

The girls followed as Sam stated. "Well, once I cleaned up the closet in the Lab, I had nothing to do! So, I am just full of energy! Cleaning energy!" Clover mumbles. "I don't want to hear any more about clean." Just then, Ben, Alex, and Clover were shocked to find Sam's room was a dump! "WHOA!" "This place is filthy!" Ben and Alex exclaim as Clover states. "And the mailman never came in here!" "Wait a sec! You mean to tell me that Sam never cleaned her room, and yet she kept bossing us to clean instead!?" Ben glares out as he and the other girls feel their faces go red with anger as Sam looks sheepish. "Honestly, I was going to clean this up, today."

"Really? I think you'll need this!" "And this!" Clover and Alex respectively hand her a bucket with cleaning supplies and a broom as Ben calls out. "And don't forget the corners!" The 3 stormed off as Sam sighed.
