Ch. 2 Fate of the Omnitrix

Inko was pacing around her living room concerned about her husband and son since they had yet to call her to say they had met up with Grampa Max to ease her worries. When suddenly a bright green flash of light appeared in her room blinding her for the moment. When the light faded there stood Asmuth, Grampa Max, a hurt Grandma Veronica in her Anodite form which quickly faded when she realized where she was and lastly there laid the unconscious form of Izuku.

As soon as Inko saw her unconscious son she screamed and ran to his unconscious body, "Asmuth, what happened where's Ben!"

Before Asmuth could even speak Max spoke up, "We were attacked by a powerful villain out of nowhere, I'm sorry pumpkin Ben's gone."

"No, he can't be no it's not possible there's no way Ben would lose!" Screamed Inko not wanting to believe her husband was dead at the hands of a villain in front of her son.

"Let's get Izuku to his bed first, we don't need him hearing any of this yet." Stated Max as he lifted his grandson and took him to his room.

After Max came back from Izuku's room Asmuth chose to speak up, "Inko, Ben was betrayed by Zs'Skayr, I saw it with my own eyes. He forced Ben out of his Diamondhead form which allowed the villain who called himself All For One to kill Ben. As soon as Ben died the Omnitrix detached itself and went to the person with the closest dna signature to Ben's which was Izuku."

Inko couldn't believe that Zs'Skayr would betray Ben when he's helped Ben be a hero since they were in high school. She started to get dizzy from the revelation that her husband was gone to a villain and betrayed by a best friend. But what made her worried the most was the heavy burden that had just been thrusted upon her son because of it.

Inko had only one question left, "Who exactly is AFO and why did he kill Ben?"

Max sighed while he pulled out his phone saying, "All I can tell you right now is that AFO is a powerful villain that wants to rule everything. I need to make a few calls, some heroes need to know he's returned. They'll be able to discuss everything better than I can since they've been dealing with AFO for a long time."

Max took out his phone and started to call someone. As the phone answered Max said, "HE'S back, he killed Ben. Yes we'll meet you in an hour. Yes she's here yes I'll bring her and Izuku."

Inko looked towards Max in confusion, "where are we going?"

Max looked to his granddaughter, "We're all heading to U.A. Let's go get Izuku."

U.A. Meeting Room

As Inko entered the room after she, Veronica and Max with Asmuth on his shoulder left Izuku on a bed in the nurses office with Recovery Girl, she noticed Kevin and Gwen approached her and brought her into a hug comforting her. After breaking the hug she noticed that there were 6 other people in the room besides Kevin, Gwen, Max, Veronica, Asmuth and herself.

The first was a tall man with green hair with yellow stripes who was dressed in a grey suit, she quickly recognized who he was from her son's hero notes that he was Mirai Sasaki aka Sir Nighteye.

The second was an short old man with a white and yellow suit with a yellow cape she heard Max address his as Gran Torino.

The third was a man in a brown trench coat and a brown fedora who introduced himself as Detective Tsukauchi.

The fourth was a blue police officer with cat like features whom she knew personally thanks to Ben, his name was Rook.

The fifth was Allmight she knew who he was since he was the number one hero and one who Ben had worked with multiple times.

The last person in the room was sitting in a big chair at the end of the table who looked to be a mix of a mouse, bear dog but his name was Nezu the principal of U.A.

Nezu hopped onto the table before speaking, "Thank you all for coming on such short notice, I now some of you have important things to get to but as of this moment the are unimportant for what we are to discuss."

"What could be more important than tracking down AFO?" Questioned Nighteye who was a little annoyed he was dragged away to this meeting.

Nezu saying in a somber tone, "Because Mirai, AFO just killed Ben Tennyson also know as Alien Force."

Everyone in the room froze at the statement. No one wanted to believe that the number three hero in Japan had just fell to AFO.

Allmight launched up from his seat immediately voicing the everyone's head, "How and why would he go after Ben."

Max chose to speak up at this time telling everyone what had transpired. How AFO came out of nowhere and how Zs'Skayr had betrayed Ben and that if it weren't for Asmuth they all would have died. Everyone in the room couldn't believe what they heard many looked towards detective Tsukauchi who had a lie detector quirk and he looked in disbelief as he relayed that his quirk was telling him it was the truth.

Inko looked towards Allmight and had only one question, "Who is AFO and why, WHY did he kill my husband in front of my son."

Allmight sighed as he began to tell the story of the boogeyman known as AFO. How he was a villain who was around for nearly 200 years and that him and his predecessors had been trying to put an end to him once and for all.

As soon as Allmight was finished with his story the intercom came on as Recovery Girl voiced a question regarding Izuku, "Would anyone like to tell me what this watch like devise is on Izuku's arm."

Asmuth sighed knowing that he'd have to let the secret out eventually, "That device is known as the Omnitrix it's what gave Ben his quirk to change into each of his forms. But the one he had was a proto prototype if you will a basic version Izuku now has. It didn't have many functions beside changing him into each form but the one Izuku now has is the same one but different all entirely. I was trying to meet with Ben to give him the upgraded version of his watch but when I arrived I saw AFO deal the final blow to Ben. As the AFO killed Ben his watch unattached itself and flew towards Izuku but at the same time the prototype I had launched itself out of my hands towards Izuku as well and both watches combined into the one that you see on Izuku."

Nighteye who seemed the first to understand what he had just told them spoke up, "So your saying that Ben was essentially quirkless and it was your device that allowed him to become the number three hero."

Asmuth looking annoyed at that remark retorted, "Yes but the Omnitrix only gave him the power and he could have done anything with it but he chose to become a hero, he did all the rest and right now Izuku has had the burden of the Omnitrix thrusted upon him and he watched his own father die undone of him. I already took the precaution to wipe his mind of what the villain looked like so he doesn't try to go and get revenge. But who knows how long that will last. Nezu old friend I can only ask you to please help watch over Izuku."

Mezu simply nodded and looked towards Inko, "U.A. will take care of any and all interviews with the announcement of Ben's death and we will cover all of the costs for the funeral. We owe a lot to him and I'll be damned if you and your son aren't looked after in any copacity."

Inko looked at Nezu smiling at the compassion being shown from all these heroes, "Thank you Nezu but all I ask is that the funeral not be public only my close friends and family."

Nezu simply nodded and went to work immediately. With that Inko and her family took Izuku home to prepare for what was to come.

A Few Days Later

The funeral was small only close family and friends had shown up to support Inko and Izuku. Kevin, Gwen and their son Tetsutetsu along with the Grampa Max, Grandma Veronica and Asmuth. The Kendo's went to support their close friends with their daughter Itsuka. Rook had arrived since he had worked alongside Ben for most of their careers. The last of their close friends was the Bakugo's who were deeply hurt by the passing of their old friend.

After the funeral has ended Rook went up to Izuku to check up on him but what had surprised him and everyone was the one question Izuku had for him, "Uncle Rook do you think I can be a hero like dad."

Rook immediately knew what he had to do, "No, ..., You'll be a greater hero then your dad ever was. He lives on in you, you'll be a greater hero than he could ever be."

Upon hearing those words Izuku looked up towards the sky and whispered out, "I'll do it I'll become a hero that you can be proud of."
