A/N: Gonna be honest, my phone stopped being able to play FGO so it's been like waaaaay too long for me to remember some of the characters.
'THUD'
Eina could not help but gawk slightly at the sight before her. Not only was she looking at a surprisingly large bag filled with, what she assumed to be, magic stones and monster parts.
But she was staring down at the much alive figure of that blonde adventurer that had joined the Hestia Familiar and went into the Dungeons with Bell and the other Adventurer that had also joined Hestia's Familia.
She was sure that, with the bravado and overconfidence that he had shown before he went down to the Dungeon, she would have to pick up his corpse and soothe Bell upon seeing the dead body of a new Familia member.
Looks like she was getting some extra Valis today.
Still, despite looking alive the blonde was clearly beat up. She saw several marks that looked like healed puncture holes from arrows, some of the wounds looked like he had been hit with either a large rock or the shockwave of one, and on one side of his face she saw what looked like an imprint of a fist.
Which was odd, since the Upper Levels of the Dungeon didn't have much monsters with weapons like that.
"I see you are rather injured," Eina spoke up despite her initial dislike of the blonde. She was still a receptionist to these adventurers afterall "Would you like to purchase a potion after we process these into Valis?"
She saw the black haired Familia Member whisper something to Bell. Bell could only let out a weak chuckle.
Eina however, gulped at the small, but noticeable, glare that the bearded man was throwing her way.
"It's fine." The blonde Adventurer waved his hand is dismissal, drawing her attention back to the blonde. At first the blonde looked somewhat exhausted before he took a deep breath and then suddenly puffed up his chest "These wound mean nothing to me! I can handle the pain just fine."
"Pshh." The bearded fellow snorted and crossed his arms over his chest "You weren't saying that on the way here, you were complaining the whole way."
"Pay no attention to the lies of that pirate," once more the blonde gave a dismissal wave, and then used that same hand to gesture at the massive sack of materials that he had placed on the counter "Well then Elf-"
Eina felt her ears twitch at the tone, but refrained from saying anything more.
"-I present to you, the wonderful bag of loot from my first delve into the Dungeon." He threw his head back and let out a laugh "Praise be Jason, and do not be afraid to marvel at the contents."
Eina felt her ears twitch again, this time she could hear the annoyed murmurs and mumbled of both her co-workers and the other adventurers in the guild as the blonde kept running her mouth.
Still, as she glanced into the bag that was presented to her, she couldn't help but silently admit that somehow the blonde did manage to lead them to get much more magic stones that most adventurers would get on their first day, even in a party.
From what she could see it was an easy ten thousand Valis from a glance, maybe even more.
Which was a real achievement considering how little Bell was making solo.
"Well?" The blonde, Jason, raised an eyebrow "Are you amazed?"
"It's a large sum sir," Eina replied rather stiltedly, not knowing what else to say "I would be glad to process these for you."
"Tch." Jason clicked his tongue and looked to the side, before one hand grabbed the bag.
For a moment she was worried that she had offended him.
"Just a large sum huh?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.
Eina sighed, the worry was gone and she understood that this was just another adventurer that needed his ego stroked. Still, at the least what she'd say would be truthful and would probably get him off her back.
"It's a very large sum, especially for your first delve into the Dungeon sir."
"Of course!" Jason let out a bellow of a laugh releasing his grip on the bag, and Eina regretted not just taking the bag behind and processing it sooner. The blonde turned around "Didn't I tell you Bell, follow me and you'll end up as great as a Hero as I am."
Eina really didn't want that to happen, but she also didn't want to be in the same area as the blonde so she quietly took the bag and slipped to the back.
When she came back, she wilted slightly at the sight of Bell seemingly enraptured with a story that Jason was telling him at a couch further away.
She was about to call to them.
'Thud'
When a hand slammed onto the desk.
It took her a moment to realise that there was someone there.
The bearded man, and now that he was standing right in front of her she realized that…
He was tall.
"Oi."
His voice was actually kind of scary.
And when she looked at his face.
She was surprised to see the face of a man who looked like he was about to cry.
"Please tell me you didn't take much!"
Eina was baffled to see a man that towered over her seemingly bawl his eyes out, and frankly seeing such a man cry was straight up unnerving to her.
Especially when it was such a childish bawling, as oppose to the usual frustrated cries she's see from failed expeditions.
"C'mon Elf-Chan," Eina couldn't help but feel uncomfortable as he leaned in closer "If not for this handsome pirate, at least don't take Bell-kuns money. Surely you must care more for Bell-kun not to take ou- his money!"
She pointedly ignore the attempt of self-flattery, instead her eyes hardened at the latter words that he had spoken "I do not know what you are insinuating."
The sad look on his face briefly turned.. coy "Please Elf-chan, everyone can see it."
Closing her eyes and grabbing the bag she turned her head "There is nothing to see, and it would make your future life as an adventurer much more easier without making baseless claims. Now please excuse me, I need to give this to Bell."
A part of her suddenly felt just a tiny bit of fear, her eyes opened fast enough to see a genuine snarl on the bearded man's face, before it turned pathetic once more and turned away from her, crying to the younger boy about how unfair she was.
Eina couldn't help but sigh in annoyance.
[Scene]
Despite the fact that he was holding it, Bell still couldn't believe the weight of the bag of Valis in his head.
"You keep staring at it, like you're expecting it to vanish."
Bell shook his head as Jason's word cut through the young man's daze, the blonde had a rather odd look on his face. It was a combination of pride, but also irritation.
"S-Sorry," He muttered "I just… Never really saw this much money in one go before, usually it's not even half of…" He tried to remember the amount that Eina had told him when she handed it to him (Specifically avoiding both Jason and Teach) "…This."
"The benefits of a good crew!" Teach was quick to wrap his arms around Bell's shoulder, starling the young man.
"And a good leader." Jason added, a smile growing on his face "I doubt you two would have gotten as much without my help."
Bell nodded his head, even if Teach simply chuckled and silently pointed at the blonde with his thumb.
"Still, now that we had a successful expedition into this Dungeon." Jason smile turned into a smirk "We should celebrate!" He turned to Bell "And what's better than some good food and drinks?"
Teach let out a perverted smile "I know of something better!"
A frown found it's way on Jason's lips, he quickly shook his head "I can tell what you're thinking, and I veto it immediately."
Bell tilted his head.
Teach made a pouty face and Bell could almost swear it was as if a tear was about to fall out of one of his eye.
"Oh please I'm not for that face Pirate, I know who you are." Jason's annoyed snarl, forced Teach's own snarl to appear on his face "Besides, we all know that the moment our 'Goddess'," Jason paused to shiver slightly as he seemed to glance around for a moment "Learned that we took him anywhere near that kind of place, we'd never hear of it. And since we're tied to him, getting him in trouble means we get into trouble."
"Tch," The pirate let out a sigh "Fiiiiiine, I see your point."
Jason tilted his head up, the snarl turning into a confident smile.
"It'd be pretty dickish of me I ruined your first harem girl Light Protagonist-kun."
Bell couldn't help but chuckle, the occasional nickname that Teach had given to him had lost the embarrassing touch to it after a while, his laughter died down as he realized "Wait, I still don't know what you guys are talking about."
Red eyes stared into brown and blue ones. Those two pairs of eyes stared at each other for a split second, and then turned back to him.
"We'll tell you when you're older."
"HUH?!"
[Scene]
With the four of them standing in front of a building named The Hostess Of Fertility, Teach was the first of the group to say.
"Yo Jason, I thought we were going to avoid whore houses on account of Bell-kun here."
"That was where you me wanted to go?!" / "This is NOT a whore house!"
Jason let out annoyed groan "Welp so much for telling Bell when he's older." He turned to see his red faced Master and the equally red faced woman that had approached when they were discussing other places to celebrate. And was more than eager to bring them to what she said was a place to eat and drink.
Well she was eager to bring Bell, and seemed content to sort of ignore both him and Teach.
The woman, Syr, was giving him bad vibes.
Bad Jealous Vibes.
Jason had to look around to make sure he hadn't accidentally manifested Medea, because that was the weird feeling he was getting from the woman in front of him.
"Still as I loathe to admit, the pirate has a point." Jason crossed his arms and made sure to step in between the entrance and the two "As the, newly appointed, Familia Leader I am not going to allow us to enter any establishment like that, mostly to avoid ire from our Goddess."
The woman glared at him "It's not what you think, the name is just misleading. It's a pub!" The glare however softened the more she seemed to stare into him.
Which unnerved Jason as he could almost feel as if his soul was being stared into.
"Ohhhh A pub?!" Teach's voice raised and immediately Jason was shoved to the side, and onto the ground, as he took the blonde's place "Why did you say so? Bell we have go in there!"
The soft look on the woman's face however immediately soured and she turned her head away and let out an 'Ugh!' as she did.
Bell raised an eyebrow at the reaction "Uh Syr, are you okay?"
There was a pause, and seemingly the woman seemed to try to find a response before she suddenly blurted out "Sorry, but your friend is just too repulsive to look at." And very quickly the woman covered her mouth the moment she did.
Reactions among them were mixed.
Bell eyes widened as his mouth fell open in shock. Jason, on the ground, howled out in laughter. Teach seemed to have taken physical damage, if him suddenly kneeling over and clasping at his chest was any indication. And Syr seemed shocked with herself that she had said such a thing, or at least so publicly.
"Bell-kuuuuun." Teach let out a small wail, and fell in front of the white haired young man "Your Second Harem Girl is being mean to meeeeeee!"
Bell started to stammer in panic, moreso when Syr seemed to turn to him when the words of the pirate registered.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but can you lot NOT make a scene OUTSIDE of my establishment?"
The doors to the Hostess of Fertility flung open and a rather large woman stepped outside. Her gaze fell onto the three Adventurers "At the very least come inside to buy something to eat and drink, that way you're making me some money without chasing away my other customers."
Her eyes then moved to the sole woman of the group and frowned "And Syri, no insulting potential customers. Get them to buy something first, before scaring them off."
"S-Sorry Mama Mia." The woman stuttered.
Nodded her head, Mia turned to the men once more and raised an eyebrow "Well?"
Jason, standing up and dusting himself off "Well what?"
"Are you going to come in and buy something?"
"After how your waitress treated me?!" Teach spoke up…
Only to wilt when the large woman, who was still shorter than him, glared at him.
Teach coughed into his hands "I say we go in, what do you think Bell, Jason?"
The white haired adventurer could only hold his head and sighed "Yeah… sure… I just want to relax after all of this."
"Why not?" Jason shrugged, and nonchalantly walked in.
Teach followed "We'll save you a seat Bell!"
Leaving him standing outside, shocked at how quickly that they seemed to have gotten over the whole thing.
