Chapter 7.

Don's POV

I observed Raph and Leo's silent conversation. Raph was reassuring Leo that we would be okay if he went with Giovanna. Leo smiled before following her into the castle. "Please follow me to the guest house," Lavinia announced to my brothers and I. I walked beside Lavinia once more, my eyes scanning as we walked through the corridor. Mikey was behind me, walking with Katerina, Raph following behind, walking with Elizabeth.

"Thank you for your Kindness Lavinia. We appreciate a safe place to stay in a new place. During our journeys this is a rare occurrence." I speak softly. "You may call me Liv. I would love to hear of your journeys. I have never been out of Terraria, aside from the forest where the young ones play. If my sister and her friends were not playing where they were, we would not have found you. In fact, they were not supposed to be playing where they were. They passed the perimeters set for them." Lavinia continued speaking, going off on a tangent.

"You seem very outgoing Liv, I would love to share some of our travels with you. As a fellow ninja, I can assure you most of them were not pleasant though." I responded while chuckling a bit. "Unfortunately I do know what you mean Donatello," she replied sadly. "Hey, call me Donnie." I smile in return.

"Liv, are there many ninjas in Terraria?" I ask curiously. "Yes there is. Myself, Katie, Beth and Gio were all raised by ninjas. Each generation in our families is a new team created. My sister Sophia and her friends Vinny, Addi and Vikki, are the next generation. In fact they are set to start their ninja training soon." Liv declared proudly.

"Yeah but we NEED them to take their training seriously. They can't be untrained when Manokar attacks." I turned to see Beth with a grumpy look on her face. Between the comment and the face she is making, a sense of familiarity washes over me. She's a combination of both Leo and Raph! I started laughing, not realizing that Beth was glaring at me with a deadly look in her eye.

"What's so funny about Manokar attacking, and the new generation not being ready? Huh?!" Beth yelled at me, moving closer to my face. I stopped laughing. Crap! She thinks I was laughing at the situation! "No! No! I am so sorry. I was not laughing at that at all, in fact I was laughing at how you said what you said, and the face you made" I explain.

"Bro, even I know that does not sound any better" Mikey pipes in. "uh…" I begin to panic a bit. "Permission to explain what I mean?" I ask nervously. Beth continues to stare at me. "You see, when we were growing up, Leo would always hound us that we were not taking our training seriously. Raphie over there, he is always grumpy. They are similar and the complete opposite at the same time. I was laughing because you were both serious and grumpy at the same time and it was a combination of the two. I did mean to diminish the severity of the situation. It was not my intention at all."

I stare at Beth pleadingly, hoping that I did not just make an enemy out of the only other turtles we have met. "C'mon Beth. Chill out. They don't know of the Bakasura, they don't know who Markor is." Katie piped in. "Okay, who and what are Bakasura and Markor?" Raph asked, taking control of the conversation.

"Shhh. Not so loud. There are children around that are terrified to hear those names. Come, we will explain inside." Liv announced. "Welcome to the guest house." My brothers and I stepped past Liv, a giant turtle shaped dome came into view. A door opens where the carapace and plastron meet.

"Holy shell!" Mikey and I yell in unison. "Yeah, yeah. Cool guest house. Now tell us about who Bakasura and Manokar are!" Raph growled. Beth stood in front of him, face to face, ready to fight. "Who the shell do you think you are, yelling at Lavinia like that! You boys are close to making me mad, and you do NOT want me to get mad."

"Calm down Beth. Gio would hate to hear you yelling at our guests, regardless of it they are yelling at us. Until told otherwise, we treat them with the utmost respect. Can you handle that?" Liv growled. Something about the way she growled grabbed my attention. I have never reacted like this before. What is so captivating about her growling at her teammate in my brother's defense?

"Fine. If they do anything disrespectful again, I will call the King's guards." Beth spun to face Raph. "If you disrespect my team again, I will personally call the guards and take you down to the prison myself." She threatened. Raph threw his hands up in the air. "Alright, okay. I got you. Chill out bruh. I just want to know about the danger. Leo would have my shell if I did not know and our brothers were hurt." He explains.

"Story time!" Mikey yelled. My palm hit my forehead. "Michelangelo, that does not look like your best behaviour" Leo announced coming up behind us. "Raph, I leave you in charge and I come back and you are being threatened due to disrespect. 20 Katas. Go." I looked at Raph who was pouting about the consequences. "Michelangelo, Donatello. Join him." I groaned, preparing to do my 20 katas.

"I apologize Elizabeth, my brothers know about honour and bushido. Sometimes they lack respect. I take full responsibility for their behaviour, as their eldest brother, leader and as their Sensei." Leo bowed to Beth respectfully. Leo, the one with the most respect, honour and grace out of all of us.

"Liv, what were you going to tell them about?" Gio asked patiently. Liv and Gio made eye contact for a few minutes, before Gio nodded her head. "Come, sit around the fire my friends. I will tell you a story about our enemies, the Bakasura. Bakasura? As in the man eating demon? What did we get ourselves into?
