Fox groaned in pain; he still denied the claims of being ill.
"Please don't mind if I can disturb you a bit." Peppy said. He had gloves on.
"Don't care if you disturb..." Fox replied with dryness in his voice.
"Just collecting a DNA sample of you..." Peppy pulled out a hair from Fox's arm.
"Ow..." Fox said in annoyance. "Why'd you do that Peppy?"
"Because I want to know what disease you have."
"Peppy, didn't I tell you I'm not sick?"
"You are ill. Please just rest." Peppy slid the door shut.
Fox groaned; he was annoyed, and he showed it.
In the DNA lab...
Peppy and Falco are trying to figure out what disease Fox has. Peppy put in the hair, pulled from Fox's arm earlier.
"Hopefully, this works. Ready, Falco?" asked Peppy.
"Yeah, I am..." Falco replied.
They ran some results, and the DNA sample didn't trace any illness.
"That's strange. I wonder what happened." Peppy said.
"Maybe this disease is non-negotiable with the DNA." Falco replied, in his nerd tone.
"Could be..."
"And it's definitely not the flu."
Meanwhile...
Star Wolf were spying on Star Fox, ready to receive the intel by Pigma.
"Pigma Dengar, reporting back to Star Wolf!" Pigma said over the comms.
"Have the info?" Wolf asked.
"Yes. Sending you the PDF."
The PDF was sent, containing the intel and pictures in color.
"First of all, you don't have to send a PDF. Second, good work." Wolf was pleased. Now he could expose Star Fox's weaknesses.
"Thanks."
Pigma hung up, marking the end of the call.
"Boys, I know what we're gonna do..." Wolf said with a mischievous grin.
Back to the Great Fox...
The intercom buzzed with a distress call. The team gathered around the screen, their previous disputes momentarily forgotten.
"Star Fox, we need your help! Cornerian outpost on Katina is under attack!" a panicked voice cried out.
Fox clenched his fists, torn between his duty and his ailing health. Falco and Peppy exchanged a knowing look.
"Fox, you can't go in your condition," Peppy said firmly.
Fox's jaw clenched as he reluctantly nodded. "Alright, I'll sit this one out. But you guys be careful out there."
As the rest of the team rushed to their Arwings, Fox was left alone in the dimly lit room. He settled into a nearby chair, feeling frustrated and helpless.
Suddenly, a faint hiss filled the room, and Fox's eyes widened as he touched his neck, discovering a tiny dart embedded in his skin. He tried to pull it out, but his vision blurred, and he slumped to the floor.
